Ariel - The Crowned Lion

She stopped wanting to see more, but decided to enter the jungle that laid in front of her. She wanted to explore more of this floor, last time she only went a little while outside the village. But that was because it was getting dark and she didn't wanted to risk going into unknown territory in the dark.

But now in broad daylight it was another matter, she could explore until she was satisfied. Who knew upon what kind of things she could stumble upon.

She started working on another one, taking some red material and starting her work. In the end it resulted in a piece of trash that she threw away. And decided to stop for now, soon after she heard the entrance bell ring.

Before meeting her quests Ariel was working on something for herself, but for some reason was distracted and ended up making a piece of junk, she couldn't even salvage the material she used. Angry she threw it in the rubbish bin where it belonged

She started walking around admiring the amazon's armor..it was....revealing to say the least. But she was wearing a short skirt and a top with a ...decent amount of cleavage, so she was in no position to judge. She was more interested in the way the NPCs acted, their were all walking with their heads high, proud and fearless. She wanted to become as them, strong, independent, fearless. She walked like that for a while looking left and right, admiring the village. Before she knew it she was at the city gates, about to exit it.

With a smile Ariel took the signed posters and pinned them on the walls behind the counter.

"Now they're a part of the shop:D, thank you for coming by and I hope you enjoy the items. And don't be afraid to drop by when you are looking for new equipment" then she bows,and changes her gaze toward Oikawa:

"Sorry for keeping you waiting is there something I can help you with?"

((Well since my char is from Japan it kind of made sense to recognize him. also just a reminder, you can't mixt tailor made armor with smith made armor. aka light armor with heavy armor.

Seeing Oikawa succesfuky land a hit paralisyng the 3rd kobold Ariel took a glade at the first one he attacked, it seemed to recover from the blow recieved earlier. Ariel decided that it wil her next target, she quickly turned around and charged at it. But the kobold saw her aproaching andraised its axe preparing to strike her."Too late to back off now" she thought before striking it , and as the kobold lowered its axe she tried to evade it but was unsuccesfull and the axe hit her left shoulderpad, grazing her arm as she moved. She then retreated to there Oikawa was , they were now back to back surounded by the 3 kobolds.

"okay what's next? asked Ariel with a smile on her face ignoring the wound on her arm.

Ariel walks around looking for a merchant, she then notices a sign saying "Catfish forge and Sundries" she searched for meaning of that last word in her head..."Sundries that's something related to the merchant job right?" and with that she enetered the shop. Taking a look around she decided she was in the right place then she made her way towards the counter and ordered:

"Can I have 5 hp potions please? I'll really need them on the next battle."

"I see you have a fine eye for quality, those "Cobra strikers" gloves took some effort to make. " said Kayla looking at the item he chosen.

"Tell you what, this first item is on the house. SInce I happen to like your band 'The Morning Howl', you guys opened for "Ni Kuromado" right?. then she recognized the other guy.

"Wait, is that the leading guitarist of "Ni Kuromado" behind you? I wish I had a good item like that to give you too, you can pick one from the vanity item case if you want, All i ask instead of you guys is a autograph, to hang it somewhere in the shop."

Seeing him dash at the 3rd mob and miss, getting his sword stuck in the tree trunk made Ariel chuckle upon remembering  that the same thing happened to her at the 3^rd floor a while ago. Only that her rapier was stuck in a tree mob, she then dashed towards the 3^rd Kobold that just struck Oikawa's shield. She intended to hit it in its left side, but the mob saw her, stopped attacking and evaded her strike by a threat. She then said: "Damn this thing is agile, more than your normal wolf or boar. Your turn. Switch"

(my bad..its 2:37 AM here..getting kind of tired, will respond a couple more times before going to sleep.

She picked up the material item and scanned her surroundings. A wolf was nearby and didn't noticed her"Excellent" she thought while running as silently as she could. 6 meters away from it and it still didn't sensed her, 4...2...when it was in striking range Ariel let out a small warcry that sounded like a roar while stabbing the wolf in the back. It sensing the rapier's blade, it moved forward for a couple of meters then returning to face its attacker, it let out a small growl.

Upon hearing the entrance bell, twice, Ariel stops her work and exits from the back room's door, from behind the counter she sees two people around, one of them was Oikawa with whom she'd meet up recently, while the others was Aaphi, the lead singer of a semi-known band IRL that Ariel was a fan of, and there was another member, she didn't remember his name. With a broad smile she greeted her customers asking:

"Welcome to The Lion's Den, Its good to see familiar faces around here. What may I help you with today?"

When the Kobold ambushed them, she had entered a guard stance almost in a instant, letting her trained reflexes to kick in. But the hit never came as Oikawa deployed his shield and protected them from it's axe's blow, the other two had their gaze on the shield, as if not knowing where it came from. She then started running towards the second Kobold seeing a chance to strike it while it was unprepared. Her hit landed its belly leaving a huge wound that was bleeding. Now beeing in the center of the other 2's attention she took a couple of steps back to her partner.

"I appreciate the gesture, but as you can see I can take care of myself" she said with a grin. Now she was in full battle mode, awaiting next chance to attack.

While running she brandished her rapier saying: "This? it was a gift from a small blacksmith girl named Sia, I had to go get the items for it but she didn't charge me extra col. I used one of my dad's prized katanas as a basic template in the description:D, its has the same stats as a basic weapon +1 Dmg, but i told her to make it extra heavier and give it a better design. The basic rapier just didn't cut it for me." she then looked around them, nothing out of the ordinary so far only trees..a lot of them. Then Oikawa said something about "them" that caught her attention.

"What exactly are 'they', some sort of wolf or boar? 'cause those are the only mobs I saw in this floor. Or maybe the plant based mobs I've been hearing of lately, never actually saw one, thought." after scanning her surrounding again, then continued :

"I don't think it's a bad thing, for me at least, it comes as a second nature. I've trained since I can remember, father was quite*she hesitated a little* ... obstinate ..in passing his legacy to me."

Ariel took a look at her Lessa as she began to talk in a calm and cool voice."That's my guild master" thought Ariel while listening. She checked how the Life was feeling. He looked stable, probability he would stand up on his own. She would see people starting to leave the spot as Lessa suggested, soon only the 3 of them would be in the spot where once 7 people stood. She looked at Lessa while saying in a low voice: "I don't really know myself what's going on, I was searching for some mob when I heard shouts coming from here. Then found him lying on the ground." she then turned her head towards Life: "Can you stand on your own? or do you need help until the closest city?". Then with her voice shaking she muttered next:

"Guild master...who was that person? with the pink hair... I know she was a PKer, but I don't know why I feel kind of sorry for her.. all that bravery seemed like a facade, hiding something... She even rejected that clocked guy, but I got the faint feeling that he loved her..and she knew...then why...why would... she react like that..." once she finished talking a streak of tears flowed on her cheeks. She wiped it off before helping Life get up. She went by Lessa's side and was ready to leave this misty forest with her/them.

She didn't let the part "you are socially deprived and chose to talk to us" get to her, from his point of view she might appear that way. 

"We 3 did a quest together not so long ago, now that I think of it is actually surprising for all of us to be here...guess great minds think alike? As for me I just finished meeting with my teacher, she gave me some fashion tips, people in Aincrad are really picky about what they wear." she then took a better look at him."You should swing by my shop if you want some custom tailor-made items, like Shinex's boots right here. As you can see starting to get on the right track. Hehe" then she remembered what Shinex just said."If you guys are going training/sightseeing mind if I tag along? It's been a while since I've been here."

Finally somebody on the same wavelength as her, "Even if this is now a death game, it's still a game, and we should enjoy it while we can." she said in a low sad voice.Then quickly regained her normal self, unsheathing her sword she said a little amused:

"Nobody else, huh? fine by me then, well get a bigger loot." She then took a look at her Rapier for a second, every time she watched it she remembered the little blacksmith Sia that made her that Black bladed rapier.

She then made a swing with it and said in the determined voice, trying to contain her excitement:

"Okay then, lead the way, let's go hunting!" for some reason, every time she drew her weapon she would feel adrenaline rushing. It was a different sensation from the everyday training she had IRL.

Ariel was on the first floor, she just exited her teacher Diana's shop after discussing the new fashion trends in Aincrad and get some more tailoring tips.

She decided to go for a drink at a nearby cafe, she made her way ignoring the nearby performer that apparently decided to sing her a serenade. When the guy became insistent, seeking her attention, she snapped at him almost yelling:

"Get away from me, geez, go sing to another girl. I'm busy!"

Then she entered the cafe, took a deep breath and scanned the place to see if she can get a seat somewhere. Her eyes stopped at a table with 2 familiar figures and a 3rd unknown one. It seems X and Shinex were chatting with somebody...a newbie judging by the fact that he wore basic equipment, she headed towards them while waving, hoping to get their attention. Once she got behind Shinex, she put her hand on his shoulder while saying on a mocking tone:

"And you said we probably wouldn't meet each other again"she changed her gaze towards the one sitting at the table saying "How's everybody doing?" She then stared directly at the pink haired guy, revealing a broad smile while saying:

"Nice to meet you, I'm Ariel!"

"There he goes!" said Ariel while watching him leap from a ruin block on another, "Unpredictable til the end I guess"she continued. She then turns towards Shinex, well I guess we should head towards the city as well. You're welcomed to accompany me if you like. Hope we get to fight again, maybe in a more difficult challenge and with.....better company." She then extended her hand for a handshake.

As she "materialized" on the other side of the gate's event horizon she took a look around her while walking in a random direction. She was now in the Amazon village, a village at the 6^th floor that had only female NPC residents. She discovered this village when she went exploring, this place was rather simple in design, your typical jungle settlement with houses made out of straws and tree houses high up. Before opening her store in the 4^th floor, she considered opening it here. But her guildmaster's shop was on the 4^th one and she wanted to open it near hers. It's true that now it was closed but she would open it soon and Ariel would like to go visit hers when she got bored.

Outside the sun was just setting and the buildings began casting their long shadows in the city. people could be seen all over the place, running around doing errands, enjoying random performers, window shopping or just taking a walk in the Market district of the 4th floor.

But there was one shop owner that was extremely excited to go out.As the closing time approached, Ariel was hastily preparing to leave. Before exiting the shop she took one more look inside, all was in order. So she closed the door and made her way towards the teleporting gate.

Ariel then Turned towards the girl with the silver and black hair, addressing her in a apologetic tone:

"Uh yeah sorry for the wait, Its just that my first attempt didn't quite work as to the specifications, neither the second one. In the end I made an item that is a little different from what you wrote in the form." She reaches once again under the desk and puts the boots on the headband on the counter.

Ariel just exited the back room upon hearing the familiar bell ring and saw Shinex, she then looked under the counter and picked up his boot and put them on the counter while saying. "There you go, hope you like them. It took me a while, but I think I made them as you wanted. That will be 2 materials please."
