Helios grinned as he entered the kitchen, his ingredients already laid out on the counter. "Time to get cooking!" he chuckled, beginning to create an item. Unfortunately, something went wrong as he crafted the item, causing the materials used to be destroyed. "Well, that's a real pain. Waste of a material, but whatever. Nothing I can do about it."

    ID: 46180 CD: 5 LD: 16 (+1 EXP)

While making his second food item, he messed up again. "It looks like I'm not doing very well at this today. I'll take a break and try again tomorrow." he said, scrapping up the material, which he was able to salvage, thankfully.

  2. Helios chuckled a bit. "Yeah, we could. Actually, I'd like that. Who would we bring into it with us?" he asked the woman, turning to face her for a moment before punching the rock once more. It seemed that the boulder would only need a couple of hits before it would end up collapsing into rubble. Unfortunately, his strike did absolutely nothing to the large rock, once again.

  3. Helios shook his head. "No, I'm not at the moment. I was invited to join Velvet Room, but I'm not sure what I want to do yet." he replied, stepping back to the boulder's position and throwing his fist at it. At first, he thought it had cracked, but after looking at it a second time he came to the conclusion that his punch hadn't damaged the rock.

  4. A small chuckle escaped Helios' mouth. "Yeah. Either way, it's your choice. Don't force yourself into doing something you don't want to do though." he smiled, throwing another punch into the boulder, although doing absolutely nothing to it. Too weak, I guess. I'll try again after I take a quick breath. the boy thought, stepping back for a moment.

Immediately after waking up, Helios found himself once again in his kitchen. "Time to cook." he said aloud, pulling materials out of his inventory. However, unlike his first attempt at a chocolate bar, his food went wrong. "Well, I guess I'll try again." the player sighed, grabbing some more ingredients out of his inventory.

    ID: 46086 CD: 10 (+3 EXP)

This time, using the salvaged chocolate from the day before, he managed to make an alright looking cookie. "Maybe it isn't as good as yesterday's item, but it'll do." he smiled.

  7. Helios examined the player. Starter armor, but it looks like his weapon is okay. He's a low level, might as well help him out. Won't do me any harm, I suppose. the boy thought. "Sure, why not. Judging by your level, you know your way around your weapon a bit, right?" he asked as he gestured the man to follow him. The boy began wandering towards a group of six weaker boars. "We'll start off with these. They aren't terribly strong, so even without mitigation you should be alright against them. Just remember, you've always got your sword arts if you need them." he reminded the player. Drawing his curved sword, the player smirked. Alright then, let's see how this goes. the young man thought, turning his head to the man. "I'll engage, just so you don't take as much damage. We don't want you dying. Just wait for my queue, alright?"

  8. Ah, he finally hit it. That took some time, but that's fine. He's a beginner, after all. Helios thought, watching the man fight carefully. He chuckled a bit at his question. "Well, it's got two hit points and one mitigation. You do two points of damage, but after subtracting it's mitigation, you're left with one. Two more hits or a critical hit, basically." he explained, hoping the blonde would understand. It wasn't hard to learn once you got the hang of it. "I'll just end the boar. You should be able to solo mobs in a few levels anyway." he smirked, rushing towards the mob and slashing through it with his curved sword.

  9. Helios frowned a bit as he dealt another blow to the boulder, cracking it a bit more. "I know how you feel. I was a member for a little while, and I felt the same way. That was a long time ago though." he replied, his thoughts travelling elsewhere, back to the time when he was a member of Azure. Remembering that happiness he had felt after receiving the invitation that had been sent to him by Zelrius and then he remembered being unsatisfied with it all afterwards. He wasn't even a member for long before leaving the guild.

  10. Helios sighed as the child walked away from the window and began entering the shop. I've got more than enough col for us, although I should have checked before inviting him in. the player thought, watching the brown haired kid take a seat on the chair across from him. "Hey," the man started, "I assume you were looking at me through the window because you're hungry, right?" he questioned, a bit curious. He was more than willing to buy the kid a meal if he needed it. Helios was just that kind of guy. It was a kid after all, and his parents clearly weren't in the game with him. It was cruel that he'd be forced to be stuck in the death game with the rest of the players. What if he were to walk out into the plains, unsure of what lived beyond the gates. He wouldn't survive, of course. How could Kayaba live with himself knowing that there were children trapped here? God he's one sick man. the dark haired boy thought, frowning a bit.

  11. As Manta stayed back for a moment to take a breath, Helios sent his fist straight into the large rock. "So, are you a member of any guild?" the boy asked he woman who stood behind him, stopping for a moment to look at her. The dark haired man was still deciding who he was to join. Teselmar had told him that he planned on possibly joining a guild, but Helios had heard something about him joining Knights of Christ. Jomei had invited the boy to rejoin the Velvet Room, but he was also looking at Amythest Descent. The Azure Brigade was probably out of the question, seeing as he was a lower level. Zel's gone anyway. He was one of the few people I knew in Azure, other than Keith and Kiru, who I was never really well acquainted with. And Keith's not around anymore anyway. I'll figure it out eventually.

  12. "Thanks, I appreciate that." he told the girl, thankful he had a front liner who was willing to help him grind. He had Calrex as well, of course, and he could always ask other high leveled players to help him out. But not many had offered their help like Manta had. Swiftly, Helios' fist flew into the rock, dealing more damage to it. "Half way there." he chuckled.

  13. Another punch was thrown at the rock, although it once again didn't damage it. I need to put more effort into my punches. Helios thought, before the woman started to speak. "I've been working up to the front lines for a while now. Unfortunately, I'm only level fourteen at the moment. Hopefully I can get some alright experience from this quest as well." the young man said.

  14. Helios chuckled as he exited his shop, his familiar following close behind him. "Lucifer, how about we go for a walk in the plains?" he asked his jaguar, who growled lightly in agreement. As they strolled through the town, a few players looked at him funny, probably because of the large cat that walked beside him. Eventually, he found himself at the gate, which led to the world outside of the Town of Beginnings. Upon arriving at the exit, he glanced over to a man who stood at about the same height as Helios. The player seemed to be a bit nervous, which was normal for any low leveled player who hadn't done much fighting. You were being put in a life or death situation, after all. Who wouldn't be a tad bit nervous? With a smile, the dark haired man took a few steps forward until he stood close enough to speak to the man. "Hey, you alright?" he asked, hoping the man wouldn't freak out about the large, feral cat that stood so close to him.

  15. "Ah, I see. Well, nice to meet you, Manta." the player said, swinging his fist to punch the boulder once more. However, this time, his strike was a bit weaker and didn't actually damage the rock whatsoever. Even if this quest isn't worth the amount of time and effort I need to put into breaking this boulder, I'd might as well finish now that I've started. There's no point in giving up half way through.

In the back of the shop, where the kitchen was, Helios prepared to create his first food. Opening his inventory, he took out some ingredients that he was going to work with. For his first item, he planned on making a granola bar or a chocolate bar or something else along those lines. "Okay, let's get started." he mumbled to himself. The young man was very careful with his method in creating the item, since it was his first craft and he wanted to make it as good as he possibly could. After completing the snack, he grinned at his creation. "Alright!"

Unfortunately, Helios's second bar didn't turn out as well as the first. "Oh well, I could probably salvage this and try to make due with it another time." the boy decided. "At least I got one chocolate bar done." he smiled.

  18. Surprised to see an unknown woman punch the boulder, he chuckled. She had done a good amount of damage to the rock, much more than Helios was able to do alone. "Thanks a lot. I'm Helios." he grinned, holding out his hand to greet the girl. She had gloves around her hands that clearly boosted her damage. If she plans on staying and helping me, this will go a heck of a lot faster. the boy thought as he moved to slam his fist into the rock once more. Another small dent was made in the rock, and although it didn't do a whole ton of damage, it at least did something.

  19. Inhaling, Helios closed his eyes, getting ready to strike his opponent. Swiftly, the dark haired man lunged towards the boulder, and with a strong punch he managed to leave a bit of a dent in it. "This is going to take forever to finish." the player sighed, stepping back for a moment before readying another punch. Just forty-nine more punches and I win. God I hate rocks. he thought, hoping that the <<Martial Arts>> skill would end up being worth it afterwards.

  20. "Oh, and one more thing! You'll have to use YOUR FISTS to destroy it if you want the skill!" the old man called to Helios. The young, dark haired player sighed as he walked towards the mountain. He was alone today, since his familiar stayed back at the shop to nap. "It's a lot less fun with nobody else around. Whatever, I'll get through this. It shouldn't be that hard. I hope." the man muttered under his breath. As he arrived at the mountain, the player unequipped his curved sword, Kanshou. Upon entering, he noticed the huge boulder that sat in his way. "That's bigger than I had imagined it to be." he groaned, pulling up the sleeves of his shirt.

  21. "If you do not defeat THE BOULDER, it will crush you in a ROCKALANCHE!" an old NPC man said to Helios. The young man looked at him in the most confused way possible. "Eh, I wasn't even talking to you..." he mumbled. Before he could say anything else, the old man went on about a boulder that was blocking the exit to a cave. "You must destroy THE BOULDER so we can get to the other side!" the NPC explained in his raspy voice. "If you do this for me, I will give you my <<Martial Arts>> skill in return!" he said, spiking the dark haired player's interest. "<<Martial Arts>>... Sounds like that could be helpful. Alright old man, I'll help you out. Where exactly is this cave?" Helios asked the NPC, intrigued to pick up the skill.

"Deep in the mountains lies a cave that the people of these lands have used to trade with each other FOR GENERATIONS!" the man started, pointing towards the direction of the cave, "Up there! That is where you will find THE BOULDER that blocks our path through the vast mountain range. Now go, brave swordsman! Challenge the deadly rock!

Inside the Town of Beginnings lies a cafe called Heaven's Garden. As you arrive, the first thing you might notice is the wooden sign above the door. On it, are a pair of large, white angel wings, the cafe's logo. Underneath the wings is the name of the shop in bold, dark green letters. Upon entering the modern-looking building, you will find that there are many tables and booths you could sit at, if you are planning on staying to eat. Flower pots filled with plants line the edges of each window. In front of the shops' entrance, you will find a dark haired man, waiting patiently to take your order. Sleeping on the ground beside him is a medium-sized jaguar, the man's familiar. "Hey, how can I help you?"
