  1. A yawn escaped Helios' mouth as he gazed onward towards the floor's capital city of Urbus. He was leaned up against a large tree in the woodlands near one of the many mountains the land had to offer. Next to him was his familiar, Lucifer. The beautiful spotted animal slept with it's head resting upon the dark haired player's lap. Soft purrs left the jaguar's mouth as it dreamed quietly beside him. The boy had been sitting for about an hour, since he was tired after he finished his grinding day. His emerald eyes turned upward to meet the bright moon, which hung above him in the night sky.

To be honest, Helios was a little bit bored. He was constantly opening his inventory, looking through it, and then closing it again. The boy did the same thing with his friends list as well. Part of him wanted to stand up and go for a walk, however the other part was forcing him to stay seated underneath the leaves and branches of the tree. "What should I do?" he quietly asked himself.

  2. A day and a night in the desert. This quest was definitely asking for a lot, seeing as Helios could barely last ten minutes in the desert. The young man read the quest over once more. Looking for materials had never been the player's strong point, so he didn't see how searching for cargo would be any different. However, it was an alright amount of experience, as well as the <<Survival>> skill. The NPC also explained how the desert would be harsh to survive in. "Well, isn't that great. At least I'm not being forced to fight anything in this wasteland of a floor." he muttered to himself before sighing. Quickly, Helios raised his hand and clicked the accept button.

The noirette pulled up his friends list, just in case he could find any other players that might be interested in accompanying Helios on his quest. Perhaps Oikawa or Calrex, but they were quite high levels. He wasn't sure if they'd want to join him. Instead, the young man closed the list and leaned up against a building near the quest. He watched it carefully, waiting to see if any other players around his level planned on taking it as well.

  3. Helios simply watched as Opal disappeared into the crowd of players. It was quite hard to believe that this woman was the person Teselmar was so in love with. Soon after, Oikawa finished speaking once again and began saying his goodbyes too all of the players who had listened to him. The dark-haired player saw this as a great opportunity to speak with him for a quick moment before he left. Walking towards him, Helios grinned. "Yo. Oikawa." He said, stopping in front of the blonde. "Despite the few interruptions, which were interesting, to say the least, that really was an impressive speech. I'm glad you explained all of that."

Understanding his friend wasn't yet done with the farewells, Helios decided it was time to say goodbye and take his leave. "That's all I have to say. I'll see you around." he held out his hand to shake the blonde's. Turning around, the noirette shot a quick peace sign and began walking back towards the Town of Beginnings.

  4. Helios seemed to have arrived to Oikawa's speech just as it had started. What he told everyone was believable. It was understandable that he was jealous of the Hero of Aincrad. Although he wasn't happy about the death of his old friend, he decided it was best to forgive Oikawa. Unfortunately, not everyone was thinking the same way. The crowd threw insults from every direction. He wasn't surprised when one of the players charged the man with their dagger. The noirette watched as two other players, Xion and Baldur, rushed up to the orange player's aid.

The young man stayed silent and waited. The scene in front of him was getting quite interesting, however he didn't want to be caught in it. A smile grew on his face as his eyes examined the two players standing up for Oikawa. Then, another player strolled towards them. Helios examined X, the young man who had invited him to join Square 1 so long ago. What's he saying up there? Helios thought, unable to hear the dark haired man's words to Xion.

  5. A light smile appeared on Helios' face. "Ouranos. It's nice to see you." he replied. The two hadn't spoke since the beginning of Sword Art Online. "Strong? I don't know what you're talking about. I'm still nothing compared to most players." he stated. Ouranos wore a simple starter outfit, the same one given upon entering the game. On his hip was a beginner straight sword. It didn't take a genius to see that this dark haired teenager hadn't been out much. He understood why, of course. It was the same reason they stopped speaking with each other. "How are you doing, little bro?"

Helios expected his usual answer. "I'm doing great, how about you?" He'd say with a fake smile. The boy's emotions couldn't be hidden from his brother. They had been going through the same thing since before the start of the game. Helios was simply able to hide it better.

  6. Hot air from the volcano beneath Helios blew wind through his dark hair. The young man was leaned over a metal railing outside of Vulcan Village. He wore his usual Archangel's Suit, as well as his Cape of the Seraph. Although he was boiling in his outfit, Helios didn't take it off. Instead, his eyes gazed down into the fiery volcano below. The boy hadn't spoken to anyone in quite sometime. His familiar, Lucifer, had refused to leave his shop once again. It didn't bother him though, since he didn't get customers. In fact, he had completely stopped caring about any orders he had left unfinished. Helios' had thought hard about closing it, but he still needed somewhere to live. Thoughts about his old friends were always crossing his mind. "How were they doing?" He'd often ask himself, and other things such as, "Should I send them a message?"

What was going on in the frontlines? Recently, boss raids have been progressing exceptionally fast. In the beginning, Helios had always pictured himself up there, fighting alongside his comrades. Zelrius, Oikawa, and other players he once knew. But that dream had already ended. Zelrius was gone. He hadn't spoken to Oikawa, Calrex, or anyone else in weeks, if not months. A sigh escaped his mouth. "What am I supposed to do now?"

  7. "I don't mind waiting at all. It's your party, of course. I say you make the decision." Helios stated. The dark-haired man examined the rest of the players. The host was a blonde-haired woman who seemed to be a few years older than him, as well as a few levels higher. Then there was a man who seemed to be drunk. Helios looked above his head and read his name. It was "Ronin" and he was also a higher level than the noirette was. Actually, it looked like they all were. The man with the emerald eyes, Takao, was much higher than the rest of the group, however. In fact, he was one of the highest leveled players Helios had met before. "Anyway," He started with a smile, "I'm Helios. Pleasure to meet you all."

  8. Helios let out a small chuckle towards her comment. "Oh yeah? Well, let me know if you need a hand with that. I'd be more than happy to help." he replied. Although he was still upset, his mood had improved a bit since the woman had sat down next to him. He enjoyed to have other people to talk to, since it got quite lonely playing the game alone. Erin happened to be one of the first players he'd had the honor of conversing with in quite some time. "So", he started, "Did you know Zel well?" he asked, curiously. He was unsure whether or not it was a good idea to ask the question, since the boy wasn't sure how she'd react. The duel swordsman had only recently died, of course.

  9. Suddenly, Helios felt something below him. The shark jumped out at the player and smacked him with it's tail, causing him to fall into the sand. However, before his opponent was able to bury itself under the ground, the dark haired man activated his <<Dancing Hellraiser>> Sword Art. With his luck, he was just barely able to cut the <<Sand Shark>> with the blade as it swam into the sand.

  10. Helios was quick to react to the sand creature's next attack. As soon as it leaped out from underneath the earth below, the dark haired player smashed it's head with his curved sword. It immediately went into the sandy unknowns once again. The young man was almost finished the quest and he was glad about that. He was excited about leveling up and he believed this assignment was one of his best chances at it.

  11. The <<Sand Shark>> leaped out of the sand and attempted to bite Helios. This time, however, he activated the sword art <<Dancing Hellraiser>. The noirette used his foot to turn himself as he swiftly spun, slashing the shark and sending it back into the sand. As the shark fell, one of it's teeth flew out of it's mouth, hitting the young man in the arm. He pulled it out, although it was quite deep in and sighed. Dammit.

  12. This floor is way too hot. I don't know who's idea it was to design a town above a volcano, but I want to talk to them! Helios thundered, in his head, of course. The boy sat down on a bench and sighed. The seat was completely made of metal and it was quite warm. It was actually his first time travelling to the ninth floor and so far he wasn't fond of it. Helios' gaze dropped to the gate, where you could exit the town. For a moment, the young man wondered what monsters lived outside of the town's walls. Suddenly, he stopped, knowing that he could simply exit Vulcan Village and find out. Scrolling through his friends list, the noirette looked for someone who would want to come with him. A bit of sadness came upon him as he remembered that his old friend, Zelrius, was no longer around. His friends list was then closed. A sigh escaped his lips once again as he began equipping his armor and blade.

  13. The noirette listened as the woman spoke. He stayed silent for a moment before answering. "Yeah, I heard what happened. This game will be a lot different without Zelrius." he sighed before speaking once more. "Anyway, nice to meet you Erin." Helios smiled. It had been too long since he'd spoken to another player. For the past few days, he'd been wandering around floors or sometimes, he simply sat in his shop and thought. He would try to figure out a reason for Oikawa to kill Zelrius. The young man had always thought they were friends, but perhaps he was wrong. And then there was Opal, who killed Ssendom. He had never actually met either of the players, but he knew who they were. Opal... She is the woman who Teselmar was dating. I hope he's alright.

  14. The boy turned his head after hearing a woman's voice. A girl stood only a few feet away from him, yet he hadn't even noticed her approach. "I guess you could say that." he replied in a calm voice, moving over a bit, in case she was wanting to sit. Despite his awful mood, he was still going to attempt to act like his usual self. A small smile grew upon his face. "I'm Helios. What's your name?" he inquired. Quickly, he looked over the player's head, seeing the green shape. Not a PKer, I assume. That's a good sign. the boy thought, knowing he'd get a bit pissed off he was forced to face an opponent. Then he realized he was in a safezone and it was impossible for him to be killed. Right, I'm stupid. Helios leaned back. "So, what's up?"

  15. Cold and depressed were the two words best suited to describe Helios. Snow fell gently upon his body as he stared into the snow with two disconsolate emerald eyes. After the death of the dual-wielding swordsman, Zelrius, the noirette had been left in sorrow. The spark that had once been in his eyes was no longer there. Why? he asked himself over and over again. Helios pulled his black cape over his body in attempt to keep warm. The young man sighed. If I'm this upset, how do the people he was close to feel? He leaned back in his fairly comfy spot on the bench and looked up at the sky. "I never even got the chance to talk to you again."

He recalled the past few times the two swordsman had spoken. It didn't happen often and honestly, they weren't as close as he would have liked. Clenching his fist, the dark-haired player let out a sigh. "Dammit." he muttered under his breath.

  16. "Oh, shut up," Helios joked, "you've got no idea what you're talking about." The player listened to Oikawa's words and nodded. He understood how he felt about the stress put on by the frontlines. "Must be hard on the frontlines, hey? Always having to risk your life out there in boss fights." he chuckled. "What's it like out there?" The blonde eventually said he needed to get going. "Yeah, sounds good. I should as well. I don't want to waste too much time relaxing." Helios looked up to the clouds and sighed. Suddenly, his sword and cape were equipped. "Don't die on me yet Oikawa." he laughed.

  17. A dungeon, hey? Helios thought as he read over the sheet of paper on the bulletin board. A grin formed on his face as he thought of the experience he could obtain from this opportunity. He'd never taken a dungeon before, so he wasn't completely sure what he was getting himself into. "What's the worst that could happen?" he chuckled, knowing well that it could easily mean the death of him. Stepping away from the board, the male turned his head. The heat of the fifth floor was killing him. Not literally, of course, but it was nearly unbearable to stand in. He despised the desert floor and always questioned why it was implemented into the game. The only reason he traveled there was because he was intrigued by the dungeon raid. As he began to walk, he looked around in attempt to find the rendezvous point that was spoken of on the paper. He actually had no idea where it was exactly, but he had a vague idea. Eventually, he discovered a small group of players who all seemed to be around his level, other than one who seemed to stand out more than the rest. Looking above the higher-leveled player's head, he read the name "Takao". Part of him recognized the name, however he couldn't be sure. They had definitely never met in the past. "Yo. Are you guys here for the dungeon raid?"

  18. "Nice to meet you too, Date." the swordsman smiled. A chuckle escaped his lips as he listened to the spear-wielding player speak to Rae. She seemed to be quite nervous talking casually to Helios and Oikawa, so he had no idea how she'd react to the man flirting with her. The brunette then explained his reasoning for leaving the safezone in the city and he listened carefully, curious to hear his answer. Fair enough, Helios thought, it seems like most players have that reason for leaving.

Then, the noirette heard the young man flirt some more. He wondered if this was what the red-haired girl had had in mind when she called Date back up the hill. No way, she seems too shy to do anything like that.
