  1. "Ah!" Helios shouted. He had made a mistake by attempting the same move twice in a row. It seemed like they had anticipated them or something, because when he lunged at them, hoping to activate a Sword Art, they countered him and stabbed him. Four daggers stuck into his chest and he frowned, lifting his blade to attack. "You aren't dodging this one!"

  2. Dangerous? This entire game is dangerous. The lad thought as he continued following the hallway. Helios did of course acknowledge the words of the player, who had now disappeared, but he wasn't going to leave just because of a suggestion. Instead, he'd be extra careful. Soon enough, the young male withdrew his curved sword from his sheath. There wasn't anything around him, from what he could see, but he wanted to be safe. The air was still and felt oddly unwelcoming towards the swordsman. He looked around, wondering if he'd find the katana-wielding player once again, but that man was nowhere to be seen.

"What happened in this place?" Helios muttered to himself. On the outside he seemed calm and ready for action, but inside... He couldn't help but be a bit frightened. The white-haired man had asked what he had done to the people there. This signified that there were people here to begin with. Where did they go? If they were NPCs then they wouldn't just leave the place. Even if they weren't, would they just abandon the temple? Helios was unsure of every explanation he thought up.

  3. Helios quickly sprinted at his already damaged target and swung his curved blade viciously. Once again, he cut through the chest of the thief, unfortunately only dealing a single point of damage. Skillfully, the noirette dodged the incoming attacks of the quartet, who were now in front of him once again. Perfect. Soon enough, I'll be able to use another Sword Art. Just gotta let my Energy points rise a bit more... The man thought as he examined his health and energy bars.

  4. After seeing the player, Helios was a bit startled. However, he spoke calmly and chose his words carefully. "My name is Helios. I was simply passing through and wanted to explore this place before I went by. I have no idea what happened to anyone who might have been here before me." He told the man, who from what he could tell, didn't recognize him. It was true, what the dark-haired man had stated. He was only wandering through the Fourth Floor when he happened to stumble upon the place. The man, unlike Helios, clearly knew the place. "What is this structure to you? Is it what you'd call home?" He asked in a curious tone. If he was right and Rain did live there, then it would be an interesting place of choice. Not somewhere Helios would have chosen, as it was overwhelmingly cold, both inside and out.

  5. Helios examined the temple's design. Up close it was even larger and more magnificent than it had been from the top of the cliff. The other player that had entered the player was no where to be seen from where the noirette stood. His cap shielded all of the snow that was blowing towards his eyes and face, which was helpful since the wind began to pick up. He stepped into the structure quietly. Inside, he could hear nothing but the wind. Helios began to wonder what the man who had entered only a few minutes before him was doing there. What exactly is he up to here? he pondered, continuing down the cold, seemingly abandoned hallways.

  6. Helios smiled after the kid asked if he'd ever participated in a boss fight. "Me? No, I don't believe I'm strong enough yet. However, I'm working on getting to that point." He chuckled before speaking again. "I assume you haven't either?" It wasn't hard to tell that neither of the two had experience in boss raids. That was the reason the noirette was interested in trying out an event boss raid first. He heard there was going to be one taking place on the Second Floor and thought he'd show up there within the next few days and help them clear the event.

Of course, he wasn't sure if his inventory was well enough to take on a boss and he didn't really know what he was getting himself into. He'd never even talked to anyone about how they worked. "I'm sure they're both stressful and thrilling." he smiled.

  7. This time, unlike the last, he was unfortunately slashed and stabbed multiple times by the bandits. Helios fell to the floor for a moment before standing back up and sighing. I need to step up my game or this is going to take forever. He decided, thinking up a plan to defeat them. It'll all depend on my speed. If I'm not fast enough to get to the one I've already damaged, I won't be winning this fight easily.

  8. Helios watched as the group of thieves gathered together for another attack. Before they could do a single thing, the dark-haired man rushed them, slashing one in the chest. Unfortunately, now he was placed in the middle of the group and had to dodge to get out of their attack's path. Thankfully, none of their blades touched him and he was able to escape without being harmed.

  9. Helios felt a bit dazed from her response. What did she say? Not all men are trash? Well, I guess that's a relief. The young lad thought. When she refused to tell him why she wasn't watching where she was going, but assumed he'd tell her his reason, he seriously wanted to reply with something like "I also don't divulge private information to strangers," but he decided that wasn't something he'd normally do. She definitely wasn't the friendliest woman in the world.

"You see that NPC over there?" The noirette asked, pointing ahead of him, "There's a quest that takes place in the Forest of Wavering Mist outside of the safezone and I never got to doing it. I'm heading over there now to accept it."

He noticed that the woman looked like she was going to take a note on what he had just said and this confused him a bit. The blonde also seemed to be focused on his hair, which he thought was odd, although it didn't really bother him. "Anyway, My name's Helios."

  10. The dark-haired man watched the two players interact. The brown-haired man clearly didn't want Kooh to talk with Helios. Of course, he didn't really care whether he was included in their conversations or not. That's not what he was there for. His job was to help the party finish the quest, and then he'd leave them be. It was likely they wouldn't speak again in the future anyway. The brunette in the group, Helios thought he said his name was Victor, handed the blonde a pair of gloves. That will definitely make this go quicker. Perfect. The man didn't have any gauntlets, hand wraps, or any other sort of martial arts equipment, so he didn't do a lot of damage with his fists.

"Yeah, I know where we're going. I guess I'll lead the way, assuming you two don't know where the boulder is." He chuckled, sliding his hands into the pockets of his pants. From what he could tell, the woman seemed fairly nice. Helios wasn't sure he'd get along well with Victor, however. Already, he could see what the man's real intentions for joining the party were.

  11. The second Helios was able to attempt a slash at the thief, all four of them simultaneously struck him with their thin-bladed daggers. It was definitely a shock to the noirette. He had underestimated the ability of the team of masked opponents to the point where he had become a bit nervous about fighting them. I'm glad I used that potion before entering this fight. Who know's what would happen if I didn't. He stood still, blade raised and stance held, waiting to see if the mobs would attack or not.

  12. Helios lunged at the same thief that he had attacked previously. Unlike the last time, he needed to activated his «Concentration» skill that he had unlocked after completing the «Gemini» quest. With that, he was just barely able to land his strike on the opposing bandit. Of course, the rest of the mobs were aware that this was the perfect time for them to strike. All four of them activated their «Infinite» Sword Art. Lucky for Helios, his damage mitigation saved him from taking any unnecessary damage.

  13. Helios didn't have the energy to pull of an Area of Effect Sword Art like the previous one. Instead, he targeted the first thief on the left and activated a different ability. "Dancing Hellraiser!" he exclaimed. The noirette spun multiple times on his right foot while he slashed his masked opponent. The rest of the thieves attempt to slash at him as a counter attack, however Helios managed to dodge all of their attacks. A grin formed on his face as he readied himself for his next attack.

  14. Without saying a single word, Helios entered the cave. Inside, he saw all of the treasures that Ali spoke of while they were in the tavern. The footsteps he made seemed to get the thieves attention, however, so he didn't get much time to examine it all. "So, you guys are the bandits who took Cassim. Come on, I don't have all night." He stated, lifting his blade. Swiftly, he leaped up, bringing his sword up with him. Then, he activated a Sword Art, Death Creep, as he dropped back down to the ground and slammed the curved weapon into the virtual sand and rocks below. Each thief was knocked back a bit, but their mitigation caused the damage of Helios' attack to be reduced by quite a bit.

Each of the four thieves rushed towards him raising their daggers in anger. They all slashed at him from the side and, unfortunately, managed to hit. Thankfully, his mitigation also lowered the damage of their attacks.

Helios stopped as he noticed a cave, which was inside of a small, brown, mountain-like structure. That must be it. The dark-haired young lad took a deep breath before stepping up to the entrance. He unsheathed his curved sword, named God's Wrath, and peeked inside carefully. He wanted to take a look at who he was facing before he began fighting them. He saw four thieves, each carrying daggers and wearing brown, dirty clothing. They all had turbans that covered their identity, however that didn't matter much, as they were NPCs.

  16. (rolling for cave. 15+ LD to find it.)

"No sandstorm tonight. Awesome." Helios chuckled as he stepped out into the barren desert. He rolled up the sleeves of his shirt and opened up his inventory once again. As much as he loved his cape, it was seriously too hot to wear it. The noirette felt like he was going to melt! And I gave away all of my water at Azure's Christmas party... I'm such an idiot... He continued trekking through the desert, looking for the cave as well as materials he could use for crafting. Prior to taking this quest, he had officially closed down his shop, but he planned on reopening it on a higher floor in the future. He just wanted to restock his materials before he did so.

  17. Helios exited the tavern, back into the dreaded heat of Armadillo. The man knew it was best to leave right away, so he could get this quest finish before the day ended. It was already beginning to get dark, so he hoped he'd be able to make it in time. Unlike the last bandit camp he had cleared out, he had an idea of where this cave was located. Opening his inventory, he equipped his curved sword and a damage mitigation potion. "I might need this. The thieves may be well equipped, who knows." The noirette stated before pulling the cap off of the vial and taking a sip from it. It didn't have that great of a taste to it. Actually, it didn't taste like much at all. Not like it would have made a difference, since either way it would give him the mitigation buff.

"Alright, good to go." the young man said as he began walking towards the gate of the boiling hot town.

  18. Standing upon a snowy cliff was Helios, wearing his black and green outfit, which included his cap today. Snow lightly fell from the sky onto both him and the ground. He stared down at the fair sized temple and sighed calmly, wondering what might be inside of it. The noirette had never seen anything like it in his past travels to the Fourth Floor. Then again, he didn't explore outside of the floor's safezone often.

The man had been deep in thought after his familiar, and friend,  had died to the hands of a mob. Lucifer the Leopard was gone for good. Helios constantly wondered if he should obtain a new familiar. He could always redo the quest, of course. But it would never be the same if he did that.

Suddenly, he noticed a man heading towards the building. Helios recognized the man from a quest he had taken prior, but couldn't quite remember who he was. "I suppose I'll head down there as well." he mumbled, looking for a safe way to travel down the cliff.

  19. Helios normally wasn't a fan of the Third Floor. However, that was where a quest he was interested in completing was located, so today, he wasn't given any other option. The dark-haired swordsman constantly searched his surroundings for the NPC that would allow him to begin his quest. From what he knew, the two Minotaur that lived inside of the Forest of Wavering Mist wasn't insanely strong. The NPC elves that he had spoken with all seemed to be terrified of that forest, and he could see why they would be. He had never entered the forest, but the elves had explained to him that players had gotten lost there in the past. Sounds believable. I seem to get lost pretty much everywhere in this game. The boy chuckled as he continued to walk through the town.

Suddenly, Helios was on the ground. He was so lost in thought that he hadn't even noticed the woman in front of him. "Ah, I'm sorry!" he apologized as he stood up. The young lad reached out his hand to help the girl up onto her feet again. "My apologies, I wasn't watching where I was going."

  20. Helios stepped up to a man who sat at the bar of a tavern in Armadillo, looking the saddest one could possibly look. The NPC constantly took sips from his drink, a mug filled to the top with virtual beer. The noirette took a seat beside him, triggering the quest dialog to start. "My brother, Cassim, and I discovered a magnificent cave full of riches you could never imagine." What the NPC had said confused Helios greatly. "If that's the case, then why is it you are so sad? Shouldn't you be grateful for your new found gold?"

"Oh yes, I would be. That is, if the cave wasn't controlled by a group of thieves. They have my brother held hostage in there. It all began with a couple of words..." He choked back his words before speaking once more. "Brave swordsman, I need your help to rescue him, I beg of you! I'll even pay you for your kindness!" The man showed Helios a fair sized sack that he could only assume held gold in it. The NPC seemed to be close to tears, even if they were only virtual.

"Yeah, I'll do it. Just tell me where the cave and bandits are and i'll deal with them and rescue your brother." The dark-haired man smiled as he moved his hand to press the "Accept" button. The man stood up from his chair and stepped away from the bar. "I'll try my best to make this quick."

  21. A bit of a chuckle came from Helios' mouth as the lad finished speaking. "Oh, I apologize, but I can't help you out much there. You see, I'm not that much stronger than you are, actually. I only come up to this floor for the beautiful Greek scenery it has to offer. Soon enough we'll both learn the thrill of fighting here, I hope." he smiled, sliding his hands into the pockets of his black pants. "Sorry, my name is Helios. It's nice to meet you, Emblem."

He examined the young boy thoroughly. Clearly not very experienced in combat. His equipment wasn't the best suited for the floor, but who was he to judge. He was no more than five levels higher than the blonde, so he definitely wasn't strong enough to challenge the monsters on the floor either.

  22. ID: 62942 LD: 16+1=17 (Mat. Found!)

Right as he arrived back at the bridge that lead towards town, he noticed a small pool of purple liquid. "There's more of it. Of course there is." he sighed, stepping over to it. "Well, it's a material, better than nothing." He muttered, pulling another vial out of his inventory and filling it with the mysterious substance. "Time to finish this quest." Helios chuckled as he entered Vulcan Village once again.
