  1. "I personally prefer a one-handed curved sword, although I was originally going for the Katana skill. I got lazy though, so I didn't bother." Helios chuckled. The group left the town, arriving at the large, grassy plain that sat outside of it. "You two have less health than I do. I'll let you two decide what we fight. If it's stronger than an average boar, maybe we can get a loot drop from it."

The noirette moved his hand over the "Accept" button and pressed it with his virtual fingers. He placed his curved sword's blade over his shoulder and scanned the area for monsters that weren't boars. Unfortunately, he couldn't spot any. Maybe they'll have better luck than me.

(OOC: Do you guys want to finish this thread and then start a new one? More SP that way.)

  3. "You sure that's all you want?" Helios asked, knowing that a single scone was not much col. The boy was clearly just being friendly. "It's no problem, really. I haven't done this for someone in a while." He chuckled. Showing off the hilt of a curved sword on his back, the noirette responded to the blonde's next question. "I suppose I'm going for a DPS build. What about you?" he questioned, a bit curious to know how the young kid played Sword Art Online. Helios had played RPG's for years before SAO was released. He'd tried all of the different classes. The healers, tanks, wizards, et cetera. In the end, he always enjoyed the wizard or mage classes the most. However, that wasn't an option in Sword Art Online. He decided DPS was the best role for him, since he really wasn't made to be a tank or medic.

  4. Helios grinned as they entered his new favorite restaurant, which was, of course, tied with the Starlight Cafe. "Let's sit over here, in one of the booths." he said to the blonde. The two players took a seat at the table and waited for the NPC waitress to come around. A pair of menu's appeared in front of the party. They were similar looking to the inventory, however they were blue instead of white or grey. "What do you think you'll be having?" he said, scrolling down the interesting list of foods. They all sounded so delicious to the dark-haired lad, he wasn't sure what to choose.

  5. Helios stopped as he heard a woman's voice behind him. "Hey there. Yeah, that's fine. The more players the better." He smiled, continuing to leave the safezone, into the vast and overheated desert. The noirette looked over to the newly-recruited girl. "I'm Helios, by the way. And this is Kalesh. What's your name?" This player, unlike red-haired fisherman, was a bit lower in levels than the curved-swordsman.

"The shark should be nearby." Helios stated, withdrawing his curved blade from it's leather sheath on his back. "You ready? Kalesh decided he'd only stay to keep us company and only step in if necessary."

  6. Helios nodded. "Alright. Cool with me." the raven-haired male said. He hadn't done combat on the first floor in quite some time. The player hoped it wouldn't be too simple for the three of them to defeat their opponents. Part of him was still afraid of what Jazmyne's answer might be. He looked at the group's levels. They seemed to be a lot weaker level-wise. However, that didn't mean they weren't strong. A low leveled player was simply someone who needed a little time to get strong. Levels and skill were too very different things. "So," the boy started, "Shall we get going?"

  7. Helios looked over at nearing player. He was surprised to see the violet-haired woman take a seat next to him. Much like her, the raven-haired swordsman didn't speak a single word or start a conversation. She seemed to be upset about something, since she curled up against the cavern wall. Of course, it wasn't Helios' business to ask the girl why she was sad. It was also a possibility that she was simply tired. Instead, the boy sat still.

In another area of the cave was Rain, who had managed to get hit by a rock, which had fallen from the roof. If he wasn't in such a tired state, he might have even chuckled a bit. A desert snake slithered across the ground in front of the noirette. The woman beside him attempted to reach for it, although he wasn't positive why, but ended up getting bit instead. "Hey, you alright?"

  8. "Yeah, it's a pretty simple quest to finish. It's time consuming, though. I should have brought gloves like you two. I won't be of much use without them." he responded with a chuckle. The two players who had hit the rock before Helios managed to reduce it's health a fair bit. They dealt a lot more than the dark-haired swordsman would be able to do with his fists alone. A sigh escaped his mouth as he threw a punch at the rock. As he thought, not even a dent was left in the boulder. Without speaking, he stepped back to let Victor have a second turn.

  9. With a smile, Helios nodded. "Yep, everything is free! Don't feel bad, take whatever you want." He told the ginger. The customer held all of the noirette's items that only a few days earlier, he had been trying to sell for col. It didn't take long for him to give up on that, however, so he decided to just give it away. "Thanks a lot for taking all of this. I actually plan on closing down the shop. I've lost interest in being a cook, unfortunately."

  10. Helios began to activated Dancing Hellraiser once again, and this time, he was certain he'd make progress with it. He sprinted towards the injured thief and spun multiple times, slashing through him with his curved blade. He was lucky enough to get a critical strike, making the attack much stronger. The rest of the thieves watched as their ally exploded into tiny, blue shards. "That's one down," Helios started, "Three to go."

Each of the three bandits charged the player, but he blocked every move they made against him. He was even able to disarm one of them.

  11. "Slayer of the Hydra. The Hydra was a Floor Boss on one of the lower floors. Unfortuantely, Zel was Player Killed some time ago." Helios replied. The boy seemed tired, so the noirette decided to offer a quick snack at a nearby cafe. "How does a quick bite to eat sound? I don't mind paying." he smiled. The blonde was young, however he seemed to be quite friendly, so he doubted he'd deny the offer. Having lots of col, Helios never turned down someone in need of a hundred or two. A meal wasn't too much to pay for, especially for someone of that age.

  12. The noirette watched as his partner fell to the ground. It was a shame they couldn't end the fight right there. Instead, Helios held the katana-wielding woman off so the white-haired man could finish her off. He made sure he stood face to face with the girl before he sliced forwards with his curved-sword and activated a different Sword Art this time; «Oval Crescent»

The ability knocked her down, leaving her katana a short distance away from her. "She's all yours!" Helios exclaimed as he stepped back, in case the swordsman had a trick up her sleeve.

  13. Helios swiftly lunged at the woman before pivoting on his right foot and activating his «Dancing Hellraiser» Sword Art. Multiple times, the man slashed through his opponent, forcing her to take damage. He watched as her expression changed. She glared at him furiously and seemed to have stopped focusing on the other player in the party. Now's your chance. He thought, turning his head to Rain and nodding in confirmation.

  14. Helios immediately knew a fight was going to begin the moment the two swordsman entered the room. Nyla, the white-haired man had called her. It was then that the mysterious figure had turned away from the shadows, revealing her identity. The emerald-eyed player couldn't tell earlier, however he now realized that the figure was not a man, but a woman. The brown-haired NPC wore dark, metallic armor and a mask of the same color covering her mouth. A katana sat patiently at her hip, waiting to be used in battle.

The noirette sat idle, listening as the male katana-wielder spoke to the woman. He asked her where "the master" was. Helios could only assume they were both students under the same master, the one who taught them how to use their Japanese-style blades.

  15. Helios lunged at one thief once again, waiting for his energy bar to fill up. He rolled and slashed it's leg, causing it to fall over. However, the rest of the group of thieves attacked the swordsman, giving the damaged one an opportunity to stand up and attack. He lost another four points of health, one per each thief, and sighed, readying himself for another attack.

  16. "Yeah, that's what I thought." Helios chuckled. Their conversation reminded him of Zelrius. That man had once been known as the Slayer of the Hydra. "I wonder if one of us will ever be given a cool title for killing a boss, like Zelrius." The noirette never before realized how much he had missed the duel-wielding swordsman since his demise. Of course, he wasn't angry at Oikawa for doing what he had done. Helios simply wished he could have spoken to him one last time. May his soul rest in peace.

Helios realized that he had been quiet for a few minutes. "Sorry," he chuckled, "I was lost in thought." he stated after he finished reminiscing.

  17. The first thing Helios noticed wasn't the lava flowing from the walls, nor was it the bridges and doors. He stared straight at the figure next to the blade. "I'm going to go ahead and assume that man isn't one of the people you're searching for." An unsettling feeling fell upon the lad as he gripped his blade tighter. "The sword in the middle... What exactly does he want with it?" He inquired, hoping the white-haired man would know who the man was and what he wanted.

Honestly, Helios wasn't sure what to do. Did he fight or stay away from the man? He was unsure whether to enter further into the room or not. The man closed his eyes for a moment before taking one step closer. Has he noticed us yet? I can't even tell.

  18. Before Helios could open the door, a voice behind him told him to stop. He turned around. The dark-haired swordsman couldn't see where exactly the man was, however he could tell it was the katana-wielder from before. He took a breath. Helios knew there were two reasons the hidden player was following him. Either there was something in the room that he didn't want the noirette to see, or the room really was dangerous. However, he believed it was the first option. Rain had come in that direction for a reason and it was likely that reason wasn't only to follow the man.

"If it's so dangerous in there, then why are you here?"

  19. As Helios reached a point of the hallway that seemed like it could be the end, he stood face to face with a large door. The young swordsman was convinced that all of the answers would be revealed in the room behind the entrance. What could be behind this? He asked himself, raising his blade a bit. The dark-haired man prepared himself for what was going to be inside of the room. It was definitely going to be a big space, judging by the size of it's entrance. He imagined what he'd find ahead. Just standing at the door, he could already feel heat radiating from the room in front of him. "Time to open it up, I suppose."

  20. Without hesitation, Helios spun around, slashing one of the four thieves. He then rolled out of the way of their attacks and stood back up, a wide grin on his face. "Bring it on, thieves." he taunted, spinning his curved blade before pointing it in their direction. He was thrilled to be battling mobs with that amount of strength. Sure, it wasn't a lot for some, however to a player of his level, it was like challenging a boss to a duel

  21. Suddenly, each thief was at Helios neck with their daggers. Each of them stabbed him a total of three times. Two bandits stabbed him in the chest and the other two in the back. Once again, the male found himself on his knees in the warm sand of the cave. At least my energy has filled up a bit. I didn't lose a lot of health anyway. He decided, pushing himself back up with his legs.

  22. Helios was correct about them not dodging his next attack. Before they could pull their blades out of his chest and evade him, the lad raised his curved sword and swung, activating Death Creep. The Area of Effect Sword Art cut through all of them, doing a fair bit of damage. However, it didn't finish them off. There was still much more to do before he could head back to Armadillo with the brother of Ali and claim his reward. Dodging a few more attacks, Helios stepped backwards a few times.
