  1. Kalesh groaned weakly as he started to wake up, his face half buried in his pillow as he reached up to rub the sleep from his eyes. He gasped softly when he felt metal and what would have been a prick if he hadn't been in a safezone. He looked at his clawed hand curiously, wondering why he had it equipped still in his sleepiness before he yawned and realized his bed was warmer than usual. He looked towards the source to see a woman beside him who he recognized as @Opal. It started to come back to him, he had spent the night with her after their dungeon the previous day. It was hard to tell the passage of time due to the darkness of the floor so he was just guessing it wasn't the same day. He tried not to move too much, happy to laze in bed as long as she was. As he settled down he pulled the blankets a little higher and made sure Opal was covered too as he turned his head to face her, smiling softly as he watched her sleep and enjoyed the sight of the covers outlining her curves.

With a little time to consider today's options he began planning. He figured that he would rather work his way up the chain of command as opposed to going down where things would get easier and easier. With that strategy in mind he told himself that he would fight the Banshee today/tonight. He had only been getting stronger and stronger since he made his grand escape, a content smile on his lips as he figured he could do this quest on his own!... but doing it with a close, literally and figuratively, friend was much preferred. Twisting the odds in one's favor never stopped paying for itself in his opinion. At this point he just waited for his beautiful bed companion to wake from her sleep.

  2. @CrimsaI would be decently interested in hearing more about that. My mad ramblings aren't that great, just ideas without substance I suppose.

Back on topic though, I feel like it would take all of thirty seconds just to add scaling to several of them, and to correct the enhancement for the damage dealer to actually display their damage. The worst case scenario in my mind is that they actually FORGOT to mention that familiars scale up. What basis do I have for this last part? If we look at Lowenthal's signature it says that his pet gives him +2 damage. Something only possible if he 1. Has a unique pet from an event I don't know about that does more damage than currently attainable pets, or 2. It scales up.

There is the possibility it was an accident but I don't like to assume such things.

  3. It's an oversight I am pretty certain.

I don't think there is a single staff member who would deny a tailor when making unarmed weapons/whips with weapon enhancements available to blacksmiths. Why? Because tailor has no unique enhancements to make up for it for their weapons. If tailors can't, then you should start a vote to remove the weapons entirely from tailor and make them Blacksmith only, with the options of having cloth handwraps, or a vote to make it very clear that these weapon types can use all weapon enhancements.

  4. He glanced around, lacking any form of search skill he stretched his shoulders and sighed dramatically at the wait time. He didn't actually care he just felt like looking like he did for a second before putting a smile on his face. His eyes glanced to Zandra and a realization struck him. "I should probably think about getting myself a familiar." He muses idly while crossing his arms. "Where I'd get one though, not so sure." He smirked as he considered his options. Odds were only a select few types of familiars would suit his tastes. How many were allowed by the rules however, he didn't know. "Meh." He says while wiping the sleep from his eyes and glancing around the unsafe zone in vain. He lacked any kind of luck boosts or the like, just his default luck stat, so him 'helping' might just end up wasting their time on a weak dungeon.

((Given the timeline, should we just skip Seul from now on?))

  5. Today was a rare day for his fishing. Instead of the regular day of almost exclusive failures, he got some bang for his buck! His first catch was a fish that had managed to get away, but he wasn't too concerned since the end result saved him a boot or dead fish, which he got more of later on. Even a tiny good fish was added to his inventory! The real main event however was when he hooked a mosnter fish and dragged it up onto land before killing it with his claws! The creature shattered apart in a brilliant display and left Kalesh with his best catch to date, three perfect quality fish in one go!!

Kalesh looked over when some of the others moved in a direction, heading with them to find the missing child that was their sole goal now that the bats were dead. He watched as the damage he had done to his hands healed and he looked to Sierra curiously, it seemed to him that she was offering to heal earlier by saying she couldn't do anything until her party was hurt. The wounds had healed themselves in an instant, but it was still making him curious. He shook it from his mind however and focused his eyes forward. He could hear the crying and whimpering of a child in the distant darkness of the cave and happily ran off ahead!

Before long he he found the child, a small girl with green eyes and black hair in a white summer dress. She was shivering softly in fear as they approached. "Hey there little lady, don't worry, your mother sent us to rescue you. There aren't anymore scary monsters." The little girl looked to them a moment and slowly smiled as she moved towards the group, asking them to take her to her mother. Kalesh was happy to oblige, but didn't like escort missions so he decided to speed things up a bit for himself. He brushes his hair over one of his shoulders, slips his hands under the loli's arms, and brings her up to sit on his shoulders as he lead the way back to town. When they arrived they were greeted with the crying mother, now crying tears of joy, picking up her child and hugging her close in her arms. Kalesh quickly put on his LD accessory for added dosh. She thanked the adventuring group profusely before heading home with the little girl in tow. Each member was given their rewards and said their goodbyes before parting ways.

  7. "Damnit... Why am I so ravenous lately?" Kalesh muttered to himself while moving through the streets of the third floor's village. He placed a clawed hand over his stomach with a frown on his face. "Ah well... I'm sure it'll go away eventually." He shrugs his shoulders and then he gets the scent of cooking food. Inhaling the smell his eyes turn upward again and he glances at his surroundings more closely. He was in a familiar street, one with a chef he had visited once before in the past. He brings his hand to his chin for a moment to consider the options before nodding to himself and entering the shop titled the Crimson Diner. As he crossed the threshold he bit his cheek to calm his heart, doubting he was one some kind of denial of services list by the Blood Oath, who he recalled had assimilated the Crimson Blades.

Approaching the front desk Kalesh's eyes kept scanning about. at what was on offer. His stomach grumbled softly and he waved to @Grave with a slight smile. "Heeey, long time no see?" He said to break the ice. It had been some time since they last spoke. "I see the shop hasn't shut down, so good job on that!" He continues as his eyes observe his surroundings, waiting for Grave's reply. He wanted to seem at least somewhat polite before going straight into 'GIVE ME FOOD, FOODSMITH!' levels of interaction.

  8. Today was another day of throwing materials into the water and waiting to see what came back out. As per usual he got a couple pairs of boots which was to be expected as well as a dead fish. He even got a good fish! But the crowning achievement of the day was certainly the rare quality fish he caught! Tossing the items into his cooler save for the rare fish, he started to appraise its species for later so he could sell it or keep it. Either worked for him, it had been ages since he gained a customer!

  9. When Kalesh had taken a look at his order he raised a brow when the stats didn't quite align. The main points were there, however. Kalesh quickly equips the armor and takes a deep breath as he raised a clawed arm. He jabbed downward, stabbing his pointed metal fingertips towards the breastplate! It didn't shatter or otherwise give way, and so the red maned man nodded to the tailor "This'll do, thank you for the hard work, the important part was the defense!" He gives a wink, a satisfied customer despite the order not being top-tier. He picks up the col coins and gives Creius a thumbs-up. "Best of luck with your next crafts!" He says before exiting the shop with his stuff.

Kalesh gasped in surprise as one particular head of the undead beast lunged towards him! Kalesh basically had three choices, get eaten, bet bitten, or not get bitten. He chose the latter most option. With his claws held out he grabs the hydra's jaws, keeping them parted as he grit his teeth from the effort! The surprisingly strength of the beast had him being pushed back in his place, his feet digging into the ground and leaving a trail before Kalesh got a good footing against a boulder! With a roar he suddenly shoved his arms to the side, making the head lose its direction in surprise and instead slide across the ground towards Opal with its jaws now shut. "Finish it off or weaken it, either way this lizard-fish is finished!" He grinned, panting softly from the effort he had brought forth to not crumple under the beast from its breath alone!

Kalesh tried not to snicker at the sound of Jaken cowering behind his master, nibbling his lip a bit to try and calm himself down as he let the adrenaline in his body pump faster and harder, letting the potion he drank do its work and increase his power. He would consider the fittingness of a tiger's fury increasing his claw weapon damage, but he was trying to stay serious for a split moment at the least! He took a deep breath when he heard his name being called and without hesitation rushed in to aid in the battle!

He noticed the heads weren't moving and decided to use that to his advantage! With one had jump with his claws held out he grabbed hold of the monster's rancid hide and started hacking away. One hand's claws were sunk into the creature's flesh while his other hand clawed and tore away at the flesh savagely! It wasn't quite as graphic as with a real corpse, but that didn't stop him from digging his hole. He could sense the creature starting to regain its mobility, and so he let go of the beast and dropped back down to the ground to await its next move, taking a deep breath just in case. The beast was just barely holding itself above the yellow!

  12. Kalesh chuckled softly at her offer of helping him kill the owner of a skill, smiling to the feminine player he says "Well, it's flattering to hear you'd kill for me." He winks to her before taking a breath to serious-up a bit "But let's not get ahead of ourselves. I don't even know if there are still more unique skills hidden away. Mack may yet still get his guild back what it lost, but there might be something even better for me." He looks down at his claws "I don't need a unique skill, but if Kayaba made one that is just heavenly for these, then I'll be pleased." He smiled softly at the thought, though he seemed slightly doubtful that a unique skill would exist solely for claws. In fact however... "Thought it's far more likely these skills will focus on swords and such. Can you imagine me using Teayre's unique skill? I don't think so." He shrugged his shoulders weakly. "And I wonder if you have a secret passage in, being the lady who shelled out so much cash." He snickered at the idea of she and her guild sneaking in one night.

When the discussion turned back to the boss he hummed in thought. Earlier he said he wanted the first hit but he sighed softly "Alright, you can get the first hit in, that's the smart thing... but if I suspect you are in danger, I'm howling the boss onto me." He looks to her with a smile "If and when we get through that though, I'll be able to parry the next time." He only needed one SP to unlock the skill to his options after all. It was going to be necessary for any form of tanking without a shield. "Blegh. Sometimes I wish I never stopped using heavy armor." He rolls his eyes "Well, metal armor in any case. Medium, y'know? A metal breastplate and gauntlets instead of leather, not full plate like most." He shakes his head "Anyways! Boss. sneak n' stab, I'll yell at him if he bites you up."

  13. Kalesh nodded in understanding of Opal's words. She wasn't wrong, uniques were as much a risk as they were a boon. Everybody craves that which isn't theirs after all, no matter what it is or its worth. At the same time however, Kalesh found himself saying "I don't know that man, nor do I intend to take on his legacy or his sins. I could honestly care less who originally had a skill before I get it, no matter what that skill may be." He shrugs his shoulders weakly, speaking from the heart instead of his head. "They don't hold some mystic sway over the skill that binds me to them, if people compare me to whoever had a skill before me, I'll flip them the middle finger and wish them a good day." He sighed softly and scritches at his head a bit. "Mack'll probably challenge me to a duel if I get it, but I hold no obligation to him... Not that it wouldn't be fun." He chuckled softly as he imagined the battle. "He'd have more power with it, put it to use well, without a doubt..." He looks to Opal with a soft smile on his lips "But I'm greedy like everybody else, and the Knights don't have any right to deny me anything I earn for myself. I intend to keep it that way." Sadly he had the voice of realism in the back of his mind. "There is maybe a one in a hundred any skill will touch me though. First Azure Brigade, what makes me think that the Blood Oath aren't going to gather all the skills they can?" He shrugs his shoulders weakly. "They got numbers, Mack can send literally his whole army after any unique skills. If just one succeeds, the power is his for all intents."

  14. Kalesh chuckled softly and said "Ohh trust me, I love being lazy... If I had things my way I'd be lazing about in a tree, son some rocks, or in a bed... But, well..." He looks up at the black ceiling of the dark floor "I spent months sitting around and doing nothing, I need to make up for lost time." He chuckled softly "And so, powerleveling!" He glanced around a bit as if trying to figure out where he was geographically ,but the dark made it too hard so he simply opened his map. "There are two field bosses here that I plan to kill in the near future like I told you earlier." He opens up some notes he had with carious boss names and crosses through them. "A Lich and a Banshee..." He closes them all up and says "I'm not even sure the Iron Giant is worth the effort. His XP is low and his banner is weak as of tier 2..." He figured he had rambled enough and looked to Opal. "So, uh, yeah... I only plan to get stronger and stronger, until people will actually consider me worthy of Berseker... who knows." He looks down at his claws with a smirk "Maybe, just maybe, it will unlock some new tricks." He had heard that Shadowed Path had its own set of swords arts. Logically he thought that in the same vein, so too may Berserker. The output and healing of such a skill, combined with the speed and energy costs of his current weapon might synergize, but he could only speculate. "... I'd actually enjoy being relied on sometime I think..."

    Energy Restored!

  15. Kalesh nodded in understanding with Opal, shrugging his shoulders slightly "Yeah, I got some basic potions... Eh, let me slam back the monster potion first." He says with a chuckle as he reaches under his jacket and takes out a Tiger's Fury potion. He takes a deep breath and swallows the contents. He felt a surge of adrenaline as a faint flame-like aura reminiscent of the monster from which it dropped appeared just over his skin, stripes appeared around his character in spots and his teeth sharpened slightly. "Oof, that one has a kick, too bad the actual damage boost is only T2 uncommon..." He says with a shrug as he discard the bottle.

With the buff consumed he looks to Opal and moves to stand next to her, his eyes staring into the distance. "I'm glad it's undead. That means the head probably won't grow back, I don't have fire to cauterize it." He says with a slight smirk on his lips, referencing the story of Heracles of course. While checking his inventory he notices a number that was higher than before. "Oh, cool, turns out I leveled up. Sweet." He says happily as he had reached 32 "That puts me at... Three levels before my goal pre-floor boss." He nods his head in self-assurance that getting to 35 after being only 25 at the meeting was a reasonable boost. "Still a ways to catch up to you though~"

    -1 Tiger Rage

  16. Despite the need to leave, he let out a pleased sigh that the mission was for all intents a success. The boss monster was dead, and already the storm clouds were starting to dissipate. He stretched his shoulders out a bit before removing his claw weapons and placing them in his inventory where they would rest for the rest of the day. Looking to the teleport plaza he decided he was going to go from floor to floor trying to find a tailor who could give him the armor he knew he was going to need in the future. He had concluded to himself that evasion was a lovely luxury, but not what a person should try and survive solely off of. Eventually a tough monster would get lucky and end them, and Kalesh wasn't going to wait for that to happen any longer than he had already. With his plan finished he just hoped Mack would forgive him for his sudden disappearance and accept that private message he had sent the massive axe wielder.

  17. Kalesh nodded in understanding "Fair enough, I'd be tired too if I was killing that many that often." He shrugged his shoulders, following in her wake as she cleared up the zombies. He took a deep breath as he tried to be patient, his finger tapping against his arm quickly as he considered the pros and cons of just running ahead to take on the boss himself while she rested. Theoretically he figured it was possible, but he didn't think it would be a good idea. "My only condition is that you let me take the first attack against the boss." He didn't know or care if she could kill it in one hit, but he was going to give it some pain if he possibly could. Standing around was not suited for him, and Opal knew this. He'd rather charge in headlong most of the time.

  18. Kalesh blinked as Opal suggested he sit out, a sigh passing his lips as he crosses his arms and looks to her. "Fine, fine, but I don't gotta like it." He makes a slight smile and winks to her as he moves behind her, watching her body move as she fought any other groups of monsters. "If this is how it's gonna be I just might have to invest in a second weapon." He rolled his eyes, looking down at his claws as he says in a slight whisper "But at that point I might as well have never stopped using katana and greatsword..." He closes his hand into a fist as his other hand scratches his head carefully. Most weapons had their strengths and weaknesses, but his was only decent in prolonged combat, which made him feel a little disheartened due to the nature of battle largely being fast-paced and finalized swiftly. "Ah well, kick their butts, Opal!"

  19. Kalesh sighed and rolled his eyes as he lifted his somewhat weighted down hands "Fine fine, kill first, story time later!" He says as a smirk crossed his lips. This situation reminded him of back when they had hunted ghouls in the misty forests long ago. It was interesting he no longer had a sword in his hands like back then. He quickly shook the thoughts from his mind, focusing his eyes on one of the zombies. As per usual the greatest downside of his weapon choice was the limited modes of combat. He could only kill them one by one, but he hoped his energy would at least hold up that long. He charged forward and slabbed with his claws, piercing the shoulders and then throat of his chosen zombie, hearing it groan at the rapid hits before being dismembered and shattering at his feet.

  20. Kalesh entered into the merchant shop with the cute name with a smile on his lips. He glanced around a bit at the items in stock before stepping forward and placing several items onto the merchant's desk. "Hello, I was wondering if I could sell these." He says before saying "If you want to buy them for a better price, I won't stop you, but if not then just toss them in the junk sale." He looked down at the small collection of items as if confirming his decision before nodding his head affirmatively. With their power he didn't feel like they'd do him much good anymore. Plus he had plenty of items to replace them or could have stronger items made. "Ah, I'm Kalesh, by the way." He introduces to the owner of the shop, figuring that putting a name to the face couldn't hurt.

Kalesh raised a brow at Mack and said "I passionately disagree! Crab fishing is an entire industry, and no rule says I need to fish a specific way or type of fish!" He grins mischievously "Get me a spear, I'll see if I can't harpoon something!" He says while turning his claws towards the crabs, watching as the metal tips deflected off the creature's surprisingly thick shells. Then another, and another! It was at this point Kalesh realized that the enemies had scaled up to match Mack appropriately. He tsked softly and ran towards Mack while the slow crabs tried to keep up, Kalesh grabbed a potion from under his jacket.

Instead of downing the contents however, he grabs one of Mack's arms and puts the potion in Mack's hand. "We're gonna have to cancel on that dungeon. I don't have the power to kill these enemies, but you have the stats to outrun them and escape, even if low on energy. Accept this potion as my apology for my weakness!" He says hurriedly before grabbing a teleport crystal from under his jacket. "Teleport: Lazero!" With a shimmer of light Kalesh was no longer there, but had been returned to the main settlement of the floor.

Kalesh felt regret but it had to be done to ensure his survival, if the crabs teamed up on him odds were he would not be able to survive by their damage. He made a note to purchase armor with more defense, it was first on his priority list. He also sent Mack a private message formally apologizing for needing to leave. If Mack looked at the item's description, he would see that it was named Heart of the Berserker and was a safeguard potion. If he checked who made it, it was made by Opal of all people! The name and person were purely coincidental, and actually referred to Kalesh as the berserker. It had been crafted long before Ssendom had even gained the Berserker skill. Whether Mack would realize this chain of coincidences or he would take it personally as a veiled emotional assault however was up in the air.

  22. Kalesh nodded happily to the other player, his finger tapping the accept button without hesitation. "I'm good to go anytime, so let's get walking before the sun rises and we catch fire." He rolls his eyes softly, well aware that the desert wouldn't actually be able to do such a thing. When asked if he had completed the quest Kalesh nodded happily "Yup, I have. In fact, I'm a fisherman... I pulled the guy right out of the sand and then killed him." He grinned happily, somewhat proud of the achievement. There weren't many fisherman, much less fisherman who'd try to catch a field boss! "If you want to try that, then I wouldn't mind, buuuuut if you'd rather just fight him normally then I'd understand." He crosses his arms a moment says "If you'd like, I could distract him and you do the damage? If I'm entirely honest, could kill him in one hit." He liked it when lower leveled players were willing to work for their rewards. He also hated when higher level players made things too easy. If the weaker players don't train properly, then they'll pay for it in skill later. That was his philosophy and why he hated leveling guilds.

In either scenario he started walking towards the edge of town, eager to get the trip into the desert on the way. They could talk and walk, and it wasn't like the boss was going to spawn right under their feet when they stepped out of town.
