  1. Verus stumbled around after nearly tripping over a tree root, almost stepping on what he saw to be a bright red apple that must have rolled a decent ways from it's home tree. He picked it up and pocketed it after checking for bruises, not having found any. His quest for materials had gone well. He'd amassed three wolf pelts and probably a basket full of fruit. However he wasn't going to be okay with it until he got at least another basket full. Verus wanted more pie. However at his last moment of holding the fruit, he dropped it and watched as it disappeared.

  2. "Up to you man. I'm down to go wherever." He had watched as Itzal had tried to imitate some of the sword arts a rapier user were to use. It was slightly funny watching him fumble around with it, knowing that he'd have to have some skill points in it for him to even operate it much. It was a pretty sword though, no doubt. He nodded towards him after he handed it back, sheathing it. "I'll walk to the ends of the earth for some mat's as long as i have some good food and drink." He browsed through his inventory slightly, noticing his diminishing rations. He had maybe a couple days left before he would have to buy some more. He didn't worry too much about the situation though and continued on.

  3. The pear tree didn't seem to be as giving as the peach tree had been. He searched high and low for the fruit it bore, having come up short after peering down several nearby branches.  A small sight escaped him and he slowly scooted his way back towards the base of the tree. He gripped on tight and maneuvered himself down, taking his time as he was slightly afraid of falling. At this height it would've hurt quite a bit, and he did his best to avoid that until he reached the bottom. Verus dusted off what tree bark dust had left on his shirt and continued on with his search, not having been happy with the pear tree.

  4. The weather had started to change slightly, the sky filling with more and more clouds. He enjoyed days like this almost as much as he enjoyed rainy days. He was always very prone to getting sunburnt when he was kid so he liked to either cover up in as many clothes as possible or hide inside. However when it rained or got super dark and cloudy he would stay outside for hours on end. It was a great feeling to have been brought back to those times, even if they didn't last for long.

Verus elbowed Adhae's side, looking at her with a grin. He had nothing to really say, just sorta wanted to elbow his closest ally.

  5. "It means one." He chuckled slightly at the simplicity of the name, maneuvering it through the air slowly. The feel was slightly different than his last sword. It had a much longer edge and the guard was much more extravagant. He did pay good money for it though so it would make sense that it was far better than the standard issue weapons. Admin was a beaut, and Verus knew it.

Verus handed over his new weapon, grinning while he did. He was proud of his purchase and couldn't wait to try it out. However, he didn't want to attract higher level mobs in as they might complicate some things with Itzal's material hunt. "I would suggest something like...hmm...non combat gathering. It's very boring and monotonous but gets the job done."

  6. "Yeah armor is the bee's knees." He laughed at himself for that awful comment he just made. "But yeah, materials are good too. Adhae would love that." His hands kept trying to reposition the armor. He had to wear it out and stretch it to his liking, but that would come with time. The breastplates were strangely positioned at first but he managed to maneuver them into a respectable spot. He was contempt with his armor and knew that it would come into play at a later time. "So, where we heading?" Verus was besides Itzal now, realizing that he forgot something. A look of excitement shot across his face and he quickly opened up his menu. "Ooh ooh" He quickly unequipped his current rapier and then equipped a new one. "Meed Adzin." He unsheathed his new sword, showing off the purple and white flairs that masked the guard and hilt. It shone in the sun and gave off a soothing vibe. It felt heavier than his standard rapier, which was strange but not too problematic.

  7. "Yeah i'm gonna come help you with that." Verus smiled softly and followed along slowly, trying to adjust to his new armor. It felt weird but he assumed that all armor felt that way at first. The design itself was pretty standard, as if it was mass produced by a company. However, Verus didn't really care about the looks right now, only the enhancements it gave him. He now had a little bit of protection that would stop a good amount of damage, "Looking for materials eh?" He tried to begin some small talk as he walked just slightly behind Itzal, slowly catching up to his walking speed. "Hoping to start a new profession maybe?"

  8. "Take this." Verus opened lifted up the required materials and plopped them on the counter, eyeing the NPC. "The darkness could have been noted you know." The blacksmith responded with a pre-programmed line and ended up fleeing to one of the backrooms for a moment. Verus tapped his fingers on the countertop until the NPC came back with some pretty standard looking leather armor. Verus nodded to him and took it from his hands, instantly rooming his clothing from his menu. He stood there almost fully naked for a moment and equipped his armor, adjusting himself to see how he looked. It was aight.

  9. "Oh really?" Verus knew he hadn't had left his clothes in a pile. He had thrown them around in very messy manor, just like he did with his clothes outside of the game. She was lying about them, leading him to believe that it was indeed her who messed with clothing. The clothes bathing in the river seemed to be nice and wet, most of the mud now washed away. He lifted up on his rapier, bringing his clothes out of the water. He held his arm out for second letting them drip before hoisting them onto a nearby bush to dry. A slight wind passed and he shivered slightly, remembering he was bare skin in the wind. The cold was real.

He finally turned around after sometime of not looking at the girl, quickly putting his hands on his hips. "You messed with my clothes eh?" His tone was that of him trying to act tough, but knowing he didn't look it at the moment. A near naked man trying to act tough would have to have the looks to pull it off; Verus didn't have them. He squinted his eyes slightly, now getting a good look at the girl. She wore a hood similar to the girl he had met the other day and almost sounded like her. "Wait...come here...." Was that who he thought it was?

  10. His arms crossed and his fingers began to twiddle with the arm of his shirt. The apparel of the party besides the new girl and Adhae was all very basic and plain. Verus didn't take a liking to his current clothes but knew he was forced to wear them just because he had nothing else. He had envisioned some minimalist leather armor, allowing him to show off his chest and shoulders. However he knew that that would come at a later date and he would just have to accept what he was wearing, no matter how awful it looked.

He tried to keep himself busy while the others spoke. It was a fun hobby of his to dwell in deep though, but had gone blank. The dabbling in front of him had stopped being intriguing to him, and he'd need something new to do. Verus repositioned his arms, letting his left hand grip around the pommel of his rapier. It's nice cold touch welcomed him, but he was unsatisfied still. The thought of a new sword loomed in his head and would remain there until he  had upped his weaponry. His damage output was too low for his level. However, as long as he was still taking in new players, it didn't quite matter.

  11. Verus knocked against the tree, thinking that he may get lucky and catch a few pears if they were to fall. He must have stood there for a couple minutes just lightly knocking on the tree before he realized how stupid he was being. The ground around him seemed barren of any fallen fruit, giving him bat feelings about this tree. Nonetheless, he scaled the side of it as he had scaled the peach tree. It took a while but he eventually reached a perching spot where he could get himself situation. He then began to look around for suitable fruits to pick, not seeing any at first. "Hmph."

  12. Verus stumbled while reaching for a peach, watching it fall down to the ground and splattering into red particles. He pouted and sat back up, huffing slightly. He was going to get fat with all these peaches. After pondering for a moment, he came to an agreement with himself that that was okay and worth it on every level. Peach pies were the [censored] and always would be. He scooted himself backwards towards the base of the tree and tried to climb down without ripping any of his clothing. He made his way over to a mother tree and stared up, noting all the red dots and shapes above him. Praise be to the apple tree, it was a Pear tree. He needed some pears anyway.

  13. Adhae's comments had made him smirk. They were so controlled and held back, with the only reasoning behind it that Verus could think of was her history of teaching children. It was funny to see it come out on the battlefield and put him into a lighthearted mood. Her attacks wouldn't do much, but what they did do was draw the beasts attention away from the real damage. The two could chip away at each other and do minimal damage all day but not really get anywhere. As long as the focus  was off of him, the fight would be over fast.

He watched as the two traded seemingly low damage blows. However, he took it in when he watched Adhae get hit around. It must've been a weird feeling to be able to take as many hits as she was doing. Blow after blow must've been a killer on her mind, let alone her body. Just the thought of being repeatedly struck and struck to protect someone else must've felt a little strange. Adhae looked like a girl who was used to taking a pounding though so he waved it off, continuing on with his follow up attacks despite her squirt comments.

His attack landed and he stood above the beast after pulling his sword from it's back, watching as it slowly melted away. "So....that was it?"

  14. Verus watched as a girl appeared from the brush with his filthy clothes. She looked somewhat shy and scared of the situation and he could see why she might be. Here was an almost fully naked boy out in the middle of the forest yelling obscenities to himself after losing his clothes. He definetely looked stupid just standing there too, having no real plan as to what he would've done without clothing. He probably would have just up and walked back into town, using some of his leftover clothing to buy petty clothing to cover himself until he got something else. He really needed some armor or something.

With an extend arm Verus took the offering of his own clothes, slightly nodding towards the girl. "Found?" He questioned her motives, not wanting to jump to direct conclusions. There would be no point for anyone to take his clothing, so he figured that he was just overly careless and left them in places he forgot. "Did you see the person that wanted to take them? They must still be around him somewhere..." Verus picked up his rapier from the ground and slightly moved past the girl, dripping a few droplets of water onto her as he passed. He held his free hand up above his eyes and shielded the sun as he looked around, hoping to spot the perpetrator. "Damn. Must've just left." Nothing had been taken from his clothing, but then again he had nothing really to give. The most important thing was his rapier and nobody had touched it fortunately.

He walked back towards the water, passing the still-standing girl and stopped just before the river. He dropped his mud-stained clothes in and extended his arm downwards to them in place with his sword. "Thanks for the help miss, sorry you had to uh...see me like this..."

  15. Verus was having a field day with this tree. After depositing the peach in his hand into his inventory, he immediately grabbed another one just under a foot away from the last one. "Oh glorious days!" He was a happy Verus. A very, very, very, very happy Verus. His peach inventory would be stocked for days which meant more and more pies. More pies would make for a better Verus. A better Verus made the world go round. Praise be to worlds going round.

  16. His eyes took some time to process the sensation of light. It shone brighter than what he was used to, though that may have been that his eyes had become so accustomed to the darkness in the tunnel. It gave way to what they were walking through; walls made of branches and shrubs. It was a surreal sensation of sight that he had been longing for the moment his surroundings went back. He felt slightly safer knowing that he'd be able to see clearer, but knew that he shouldn't think that way. Something was about to happen.

The dark figure had appeared from the shadows, almost as if it was there the whole time. It stood in the center of the light, letting it gleam down on its dark purple body. It was wearing what most of the other elf's wore; minimal armor. However it was modified slightly, showing the mob's past encounters with other players and what they had done to it. It was a well created mob, no doubt. It also gave off a vibe that it would tower over the two of them. Not many things were taller than Verus. This thing was taller than Verus. Verus did not take lightly to that.

He drew his rapier and held it at his side as he always did before a fight. This one would be pretty tough for him. He had some levels sure but was still equipped with basic items and armor. Verus desperately needed an upgrade to his arsenal and this reward would put him a step towards the right direction. After a few short breaths, he tried to pump himself up, jumping around slightly. He needed to find his stride and get this thing dead fast. He wanted his armor.

Adhae went first like always and landed a solid first hit, dealing what appeared to be minimal damage. That hadn't mattered to him though, what mattered would be his sword art landing. Verus waited until after the elf had targeted her, giving him an open shot. "Accel Stub!" Verus nodded to her statements, too fully immersed to understand what she was saying. His attack landed right under the mob's ribcage, each leaving a little it of his purple essence behind. "Decent."

  17. The sun was blocked from his view, his canopy spot providing a cool, shaded area for him to perch. It was rather calming sitting up in the tree, not having to worry about much. His main and only focus was to find more peaches. He had a craving for pie that only peaches could solve. After scooting himself slightly down his sturdy branch, he looked around again, holding out his hands to try and grasp what he had found. It was one of the biggest peaches he had ever seen.  He softly pulled it from its resting place and quickly input it into his inventory. It was a good day.

  18. Verus propped himself up and somehow managed to quickly rise to his feet. The sight of the pear disappearing disgruntled him. That could've been in his inventory rather than in...wherever dead code was disposed of. He would be smart about this tree this time, not wanting to damage himself again. He calmly approached the base of the tree and began to bear hug it as much as he could, using his feet to find notches in the bark. He slowly crawled up the side with the grace of a dead tree climbing monkey.  It wasn't pretty, but after a good five minutes or so, Verus had found himself a sturdy branch about halfway up the tree. It was a good spot to pick and choose what branches had the best fruit. Within his first second of search, he had spotted a rather large peach sitting practically in front of him.

  19. His hand grasped a small peach; not the size he was looking for but it was a start. Verus smiled and stored it in his inventory with a few swipes of his finger, not wanting to take a chance of bruising it. This tree had bore him fruit, giving him the impression that it would give out more. He decided this time to try and climb the tree, wanting to check some of the branches instead of the ground. For his first attempt, he attempted a running start to mount and climb the tree, only to crush his own peaches as he slammed against the base. He slid down cartoonishly, slightly falling to his side and curling up once he hit the ground. He watched as a pear fell from a high branch of the tree and break into particles, right in front of his eyes.

  20. He sighed as he straightened his back up, knowing that this would be a long and monotonous process. At least he had the place to himself. It was calm and quiet, only the sound of the leaves in the wind tainting the silence. It was a good day. Verus decided to get into a decent mood and scout around one of the nearby trees, hoping a better attitude would provide him with fruit. Strangely enough, it did.

  21. His eyes fixated on gates of the orchard. He had finally reached his destination and planned to make good use of his time. The hinged gate entrance easily swung open, allowing Verus inside the small farm. He was immediately hit with a wave of smells. The must apparent to him was that of the countless fruit trees, each giving off a strange smell that combined into one mega tree smell. It was hard to describe, but Verus paid little attention to it. He was here for peaches, and began his search by checking just by the entrance for any fruits that were dropped by NPC's or players when they were leaving. There was nothing there.

  22. Verus grinned to the man and opened up his menu, deciding how he should pay. He noticed the trade-in sign and figured that he might as well pay in the materials he had gathered over his travels. He had no reason of keeping them anyway. The sword brought a smile to his face, and he slowly picked it up, assessing it. "Seems perfect to me. Thanks again." He left the materials on the counter and departed from the store, a new sword in had.

  23. The walls of the city were small compared to the few others he had been to. However, he knew nothing was ever going to surpass that of the Town of Beginning. Those suckers were almost overly large, but it was to be expected for the very first town. He nodded down towards the guard at the gate's arch, treating him as he would treat any other guy he didn't know. The brocode carried over into this game too, and if it hadn't, he'd bring it along with him. The tree farm was a short walk away, but it was still a walk. He'd done a lot of it to get to the town and would have to sit down for a bit once he arrived at his destination. He got tired real fast for some reason. Maybe he wasn't eating enough or drinking enough water. He waved the thought off and continued on his walk, eyes fixated on the upcoming trees.

  24. Verus was greeted by a guard NPC who seemed to wave at him from afar. He returned the gesture and walked through the gate to the town, surprised to see how alive it was. A good amount of NPC's were walking around and chattering up a storm, giving the small village a lively feel. He enjoyed it. He was able to tune into little parts of each conversation as he walked, surprised at what he heard. Even as programs they were able to withhold meaningful conversations with one another even when no other players around to hear. They were living their own little lives regardless of what the foreigners did around them. It truly was an interesting spectacle.

A kid ran past him and just brushed against his sheathed rapier, causing it to clang against his sigh when it retracted back. He had made it mostly through town, spotting the other gate where he would exit to find the orchard again. He was ready for some peach picking.

  25. The walk was long and lonely, though it hadn’t really got to him. The rolling greens were always pretty to look at, and it helped that his favorite color was green. Paired with the seemingly endless plains was the seemingly endless sky. It was a near perfect blue today, only an occasional cloud or two polluting the sky. The weather was hotter than it usually had been due to the lack of cloud cover they normally had. The cloud albedo was non existent and he could feel it. He brought the neck of his shirt up to his forehead and wiped away the beginnings of some sweat droplets, continuing onwards.
