  1. Olenna seemed outraged by his words. Made sense enough, the idiots had this idea that they were a family. They might've been, but a toxic one at that. As he was backhanded, satisfaction would appear in his eyes as his thorns activated, draining her health a small portion. "Yanno, it isn't a god complex. It's the only way to protect you want to keep safe. If you want yourself and Shireen to survive, get on a level you can protect them. Simple as that, its what I did. In the end, it still wasn't enough." As the woman mentioned allying with Hidden, a glare would meet her.

"Don't think you can just ally with a monster. One day, she's going to end up deciding you all are useless and pick you off one by one. I've seen her attack her own party member before. Someone might die because you dipshits thought that was a good idea. You'd just better hope me or some other 'power-hungry high level' is around when you come to face that consequence."

The girl vanished in a light, just in time for Mina to reply to his message. Finally something important to actually do. A teleport crystal would whisk him to Angel's Point. From there, he was gonna have to walk.

    * * *

It would take some time, but he would find Mina in a group of players. A hand moved to rest of the hilt of his sheathed weapon, as he stepped forward. His eyes quickly flicked between the three other than Mina. One was Glenn. Of course he'd shown up here. The next was a man he didn't know the name too. Jon was certain he'd seen the man in the fight against the shadow. However, he was the same as the other girl. One of The Wanderer's goons. Anybody working with that man was a threat all the same. His eyes trickle down to Mina again who was paralyzed. He didn't assume the two had done it themselves, more someone else who had caused the problem in the first place. Unless The Wanderer had elaborately planned this out to gain his trust to let his guard down. That was not out of the option. Taking up his necklace, he would press the ornament to Mina's skin. Orgoth's Defiance held a power to resist the system's effects. As it touched her, the necklace would activate and remove her paralyzed status. Taking her from the others, he would help her stand until her legs stabilized.

Taking her hand, he would offer his thanks, his voice cool and steely. "Thanks for the help, assuming it was you guys that managed to get her back." His hand tightened on Mina's. "I'm not sure what would have happened if you didn't." Tugging lightly on her hand, he would motion for the pair to leave. If the other two were unfavoring, he doubted that he was strong enough to protect Mina and her dipshit brother from the duo in front of him. The man was a frontliner and the girl? Something in her eyes told him she was predator, not prey.

  2. The dark gold of his eyes remained unwavering as Raidou began his reply. In fact, the man's natural calm and collected voice was aggravating. It was as if Mina's demise had just been a insult thrown to the wind. He didn't enjoy anyone making light of the one thing he had left. If he were to trust the man's words at all, someone had rescued Mina and she was making a safe return. However, it didn't sound like he was planning to stay away.

"I accept that responsibility, as I always have."

"Do you really think that protecting a few people makes up for the lives you've massacred? You're a monster in human skin, even if you are only hunting the weaker monsters. You're one of the worst of them. Never forget that."

Raidou continued to speak, and while Jonathan was in agreeance of the fuckups that the Arbiters were, it didn't ease his mind of Raidou himself at all. He also didn't like Raidou basically giving his commands. The former Paladin didn't take orders from anyone these days. Especially cold-hearted killers.

     "For who."

Jonathan watched as the man vanished in a blue light and growing shadow, and couldn't help but find his anger without an outlet. "You're a bad omen for Mina and everyone else who isn't absolutely prepared to end someone's life." Jon knew his words were hypocritical after ending an innocents life, but he lived in constant memory of that. He had watched countless of people he was supposed to protect perish because he wasn't strong enough to protect such a large group. The Celestials had fallen because of his Inadequacy. From his own immaturity. A guild made with only good intentions is one that is easily able to be manipulated, corrupted, and destroyed.

Finally turning to Olenna, she would first be met with his originally fury. "Went out of her way? I'm sorry that she had to be bothered by something as inconvenient as using a skill." Damn were these Arbiters annoying. Sticking their nose into places it shouldn't be and now rejecting the consequences as their own. "I haven't cared about the way I looked for some time now. I will let myself look like the most disgusting and vile person in Aincrad before I just let someone hurt Violet. I will be known as Vengeance before expire if something were to happen to her. Anyone that I find responsible for it will get to see my face as their last."

Taking a breath, Jon's cold and venomous voice would simmer. "Look. If you want to protect your sister, then leave. Leave the Arbiters and never turn back. They offer your sister no protection and instead endanger her. If you owe something to Rosa or some shit like that, don't worry about it. If there is anything I've learned, there is no place to be a hero here. Protect the ones you care about and that's it. Lose sight of that and despair will follow shortly after as you watch all you hold dear die in front of you."

"Besides, I'll deal with Rosa myself after an incident like this..."

He opened his menu and messaged the person at the top of the list.

    To Mina:

Where are you? I was told you were safe, I'll come pick you up and take you home. I don't want anything like to happen again.

If he didn't receive a message in return, Raidou would suffer. Starting with that sleeping girl.

  3. "Disciple? That isn't accurate. Hardly have ever talked to the guy. He seems to actively avoid me for some reason." It had been awhile since someone remembered the APD. The main members had gone silent and Jonathan himself had even been slacking on any duties. He had other things he was interested in doing. While he spoke, he caught sight Raidou's face. "What's up? Looking pretty a-"

"You don't trust me, and I know damn well this looks like a trap. But Mina just disappeared from that room with one other person."

Anger quickly rose in Jonathan. Here it was, of course there was something up. Was it a threat? In one clean motion, Jon's blade was out crackling into the air. As much as he wanted to attack, Jonathan instead turned around. Tearing through the yard, he found himself at the door to Rikers Edge rather quickly. Slamming his foot into the door, it busted into broken pieces from the force. The people inside were all still except for a girl singing in the middle. Was she the enemy? It honestly didn't matter. He needed to get up the stairs. Taking three at a time, he moved and burst through several of the rooms in search.

Instead of Mina, he found a girl. Shireen. The one he had shoved out of the way earlier. Kneeling down to her, frustrated, he pulled a antidote from his inventory and forced it into her mouth. After ingesting it, Shireen wasn't spared. Picking her up by her clothes, he would hold her there and the first Arbiter would get a glimpse into how he truly felt about that.

"Where the F**K is she? You goddamn shit bags keep involving her in YOUR dumbass operation!" Tossing her aside and back onto the ground, his eyes gleamed a dark gold as they seethed with hatred. "Stay out of the way if you know what's good for you."

Stepping back downstairs, he would confirm something. The sleeping child was one of Raidou's goons. The patrons seemed more stable, she was helping them not causing their state. Point in Raidou's favor he supposed. Stepping through the broken door, he returned his attention towards Raidou. "Something tells me you aren't the one who did it, but at the same time I have a feeling you helped cause it. So you're gonna help me find her and then you're gonna stay the fuck away from her. Think I wouldn't know about the names? OVER A HUNDRED. Now, here you are bringing the bloodshed that travels behind that number  and involving Mina. You're a bad omen."

His blade remained out, crackling at his side as it rested in one hand. "Just somehow get a message from them? They used Mina to get at you. If anything happens to her, that's on your shoulders." Jonathan's tone was venomous and threatening. It didn't help that the man in Red simply stood there, screens floating around his avatar as if he didn't care that Mina just whisked away to who the fuck knew where.

  4. There was a lot of information to take in at the beginning of this battle. The boss was just a normal person with... cannons? He really should've attended that meeting. The boss threw some words into the air, but it was drowned out by the players who entered into the room first. As they finally got to enter, it was chaos. Players were all over the area, messing with the new toys found inside of the boss room.

A voice called out to him, from the man in red himself. "We should draw hatred and hold. Just in case this thing has anything up its sleeve. The rest should work to figure out what these..."

A sigh filled the blonde's lungs. 'I could've figured that much out.' He thought to himself exasperatedly. 'Don't need a genius for that.' Unsheathing his weapon slowly, Morgenstern's eyes would glow gold as tendrils of electricty crackled into the air. His skill successfully locked on, and his eyes returned to their normal green hue. He had gathered the boss's attention, hopefully Mac wouldn't be taking it back immediately. He eyed the machines across the room. Perhaps his electric weapon would be able to short them? He doubted it would work. The Cannons didn't appear to run off electricity, but something the boss was working with himself.

  5. After being told to sit and stay, Jonathan was only halfway through his soup before Rosa headed out. A flicker of annoyance passed over his face. She risked his anger by throwing a knife at him to leave moments later? Continuing to eat, he was now interested in what Mina and Raidou would talk about. She had actually brought him here hadn't she? Though it seemed instead that poor Raidou would have to sit in silence as Mina and Heart spoke amongst eachother.

"I'll be back in a bit, Shireen asked me if I could go give her some lessons again. If you need me, I'll be upstairs~"

Raising an eyebrow, a glance went over to the man in red. Had all of them just forgotten about him after literally fighting for him to stay a moment ago? He nodded to Mina, watching her leave the room. It was silent for a moment before anyone spoke and there was no surprise as to who spoke first. The man of the hour.

    "Give Violet my regards."

Their eyes met only for a moment as Raidou got up to leave. Jonathan watched in silence as he left. Setting down his soup, Jonathan made a nod to Heart. "Probably gonna head out for the night. If Mina comes down and asks for me, I'll be at my house."

A flick through his inventory and a katana would materialize at his side. Moving out of the room, his eyes traced over to the stairs that Violet had most likely taken for her training with Shireen. What was it again that she wanted to learn? Jon had forgotten. An exhale to steal himself and he would step out into the brisk night. Closing the door, his eyes observed the area around him. Rikers Edge rested in the town of Rig, the place where his house use to be. In fact, it wasn't too much of a walk to the abandoned building where he used to live. He didn't miss the Morningstar Manor too much. Reminded him too much of home and how he had major similarities to his father. The MorningRose manor was much more... comfortable. Maybe that was just because of Mina's touch on it.

His eyes finally passed onto Raidou who know stood out here alone. He knew that Jon would make his way out here. Raidou reminded him a lot of Itzal with their cold calculating looks. "I'd consider it an interesting day when my girlfriend walks in with a frontliner. Not just any frontliner either, one who's name I've seen before." The words were passive, but Raidou would definitely be able to see the sharp ends of his words as they waited to strike.

  6. A dagger sailed past his face and into the wall behind him. Raising an eyebrow at the obviously flustered Rosa, he would internally question her motives. Had the blade touched him, it would've most likely been soaked up through his mitigation and instead forced his thorns. Rosa spoke violently at first, but her tone dimmed as the sentence ran on. A sigh escaped Jonathan. He guessed he let the Arbiters push him around more than he cared to admit. Although, he wasn't going to turn down the offer for more food. Catching Raidou's look, he would nod before going to grab a dish. Quietly sitting down with it, he would begin to happily munch while listening to the conversation.

The first half of the conversation he didn't catch. Something about player-killers but it had been made to clear to him in the past that the Arbiters didn't want him in those kind of affairs with them. Especially with him technically being allied with the APD. Although, he hadn't heard much from Itzal or Hestia so he'd been mostly doing his own thing which was to say basically nothing. Though there was something that was vaguely interesting to them in the topic. Why would anyone want to kidnap another player? Other than some bargaining chip or hostage, a player didn't really hold any value.

The next thing was Violet pointing out information that Jon didn't even know. Pausing his eating, he watched on in confusion until Violet retreated into awkward silence. "Wait, you guys are like actual siblings? I thought it was some brotherly love kind of deal going on not the actual real thing. Huh. The more ya know." Completely having missed the important thing Mina had said, he resumed eating. With both of them being siblings, they didn't really act a lot alike.

"I am sure Glenn had his reasons, as does Rosa for the actions she takes. I commend your efforts to protect Jon from becoming tarnished, but in this place it is difficult. Hold on tight to each other, and don't let go. Else, Aincrad will take away all you hold dear without remorse."

Jon bit his tongue to hold back words or feelings. He knew what it was like to have Aincrad take everything from you. If it wasn't for some good friends, he would've been lost forever. He'd been angry and was misguided to make the same mistakes that he hated others for. No. Not mistake. Sin

Hey Jon! Guess what, I'm finally participating in one of the raid bosses! I'm partied with Firm Anima, since they wanted an extra player with them.. well that, and Freyd-san invited me to join them! He even gave me a shiny new breastplate!

Firm Anima? A name he'd only recently familiarized himself with. A fist slammed into the wall as a burst of anger came from the boy. Great, wow just how stupid for this friendship was she going to act? First, she'd befriended a mass-murderer and then expected that to just be okay? Now, she was joining another group to go on death missions with? Did she have a death wish. Originally, he thought Violet wasn't serious about the frontlines. He figured that the two of them would just live an easier life for the rest of the time in Aincrad.

A heavy sigh as he opened his inventory. He hadn't wanted to do this again. The frontlines had been left in Chaos. Every one as of recent he had attended had gone poorly. Now Mina was getting involved in that drama? Equipping his armor and katana, he would quickly prepare himself for a raid. He hadn't been expecting to do this, so he wasn't very prepared. He hadn't even attended the meeting.

    ________________

Stepping into the dim lighting of the waiting room, he spotted Mina in the FA group talking to some blonde girl. This was his first time seeing most of the group he believed. A pained expression on his face, he turned away to fidget with his armor. Taking a breath, he walked past the group to the next familiar face. @Baldur"I'm here, put me where you think I'd do best." Jonathan rested his left hand on the hilt of his katana.

  8. To no surprise, Glenn didn't take the scolding lightly. As he excused himself Jonathan couldn't help but matter, "Looks like he listened after all."  There was just something in the air that had them both in a more foul mood. Getting bonked over the head, Jon couldn't help but feel annoyed. Really? She was mad at him for Glenn acting like a total jack off? However, his distaste for the Arbiters was quickly interrupted. Someone finally got around to answering the question he answered twice.

"Glenn for fucks sake, we had this discussion already, Raidou isn't-"

'Raidou...'  Where had he heard that name before? Mina stood after ranting about Raidou being mistreated despite her saying he was a good guy. Running a hand through his hair trying to recall, he watched as Mina stormed into Rosa's room. That's where it dawned on him. Just why the name was so familiar. His hand squeezed his jacket that Mina had left behind tightly.

'The name Raidou was scribbled on the Monument of Life over a hundred times.'

Eyes widening, he stood suddenly and picked up the pace as he followed behind Mina. Taking a breath, he took that same lazy attitude he pretended to always be in these days. It was the only way to prevent Violet from freaking out over him all the time. The only way to obscure how paranoid he was about things these days. The only way to pretend that he was completely fine with Violet being with the Arbiters. Stepping into the room, he scanned Raidou's features very closely for the first time. His appearance didn't exactly scream mass-murderer to Jonathan. Though, neither did the green cursor. He had no doubt they had the name right. Something in Raidou's eyes had a hunger to them. Just what was he hungry for though?

"It looks as though our time is up, Rosa. You're quite the chef, perhaps I should introduce you to Gaius. The man only knows how to cook from a single book and doesn't really know his way around anything outside it."

Musing his few options, he quickly decided which was the best to take. Remove Raidou quietly from the premise and away from Mina. "She's pretty good at it, i'll admit. It's at the cost of much effort to get the right ingredients though." Placing a hand on Mina's shoulder, he stepped past her to where he had set down the strange blueberry cake from earlier. Lifting up the plate, he brought it back to Mina. "I had brought this back for you but you were sleeping. Girl who made it was extremely into making desserts, didn't catch her name though. She ignored me and kept talking about... Blueberries?"

Shifting his stance, a glance was sent Raidou's way. "No worries, I'll walk your friend out. I promise not to harass him for escorting a girl who's spoken for too much." A light chuckle succeeded his words. Despite this laughter, the glint in Jon's eyes remained unwavering as they trained on Raidou. If the man in Red was any good at picking up hidden meanings, then he would be able to tell that he had more heavy stuff in mind then what his words gave away.

  9. As Glenn began to explain himself, the blonde couldn't help but feel a twinge of annoyance. Something that pissed Rosa off? Heart had looked just as unhinged when he walked in. A fight was brewing like steam coming from a closed vat of tea. If he hadn't opened the door, it would been blown off. As for his comment about predators, he couldn't relate at all. Perhaps it was what he had been through, but Rosa didn't intimidate him whatsoever. In fact, very few actually could.

"Rosa just wanted me out of there so she could talk to that guy in private. This guy is someone she's wanted to corner for a while, but she hasn't had the opportunity to until, out of fucking nowhere, the lil shit drags the guy in here, with a tainted Reindeer as a gift."

Eyes quickly darkening he turned on Glenn. Man, he was really starting to get ticked off. Is all this guy do was bitch? No wonder Rosa sent him out. "Call her a little shit in front of me again. I fucking dare you." He snarled at Glenn. "Stop lying to yourself, Rosa sent you out here because you're being a spineless little bitch." Quickly taking a sigh, the blonde ran his hand through his hair. What did Violet see in this lot? He didn't like how they involved Violet in some pretty dangerous operations. "Sorry... you all are stressing me out. You guys are messing with a frontliner in there. I've seen him before." The Arbiters were strong together but seperated like they currently were? Even he could pick them off easily. Besides, the guild symbol the boy in red had. He'd seen it around. There were quite a few of them.

"You said something about a sleeping tox-"

".. oh hello..! Ooh, I'm sleepy still.. what was in that stuff..?"

Jonathan immediately turned his attention to Violet. "Hey!~" He said happily. "Yeah, I found you just passed out. They were being noisy when I got here so I brought you out here. I would've let you sleep longer." His eyes drifted down to his jacket that was still draped over her. He doubted he'd get it back for a bit. He turned his gaze back to Glenn. "Go for a walk or something. Get some fresh air and lighten up." His tone had a slight edge in it to warn him not to back talk. The blonde wasn't interested in arguing with Rosa's peeps just because they technically didn't answer to him. He was an outsider. He was the strongest of all of them, and he technically helped them get Rosa back in the past.

"Are you feeling alright?" He asked Mina as she fought through the slumber to wake up.

  10. An eyebrow raised as he found Glenn to follow him out. There had been shouting, something was going on. With the man in the red coat. It was a face he had seen before but he didn't know what name to place it with. Why was Rosa dealing with him? What kind of information could she give to a frontliner? Violet's quiet breathing matched the rise and fall of her chest. It was easy and even. She wasn't experiencing a nightmare. Didn't make sense as to why she was sleeping so heavily.

Stepping into the middle of the room, he looked over his shoulder back at Glenn. "Aren't you and Mujo a thing now? Just saying, its probably bad manners to follow someone else's girl like a lost puppy." There was no resentment in Jonathan's voice. In fact, it was obviously a joking tone. Eyes closed, he flashed a smile at Heart. However, the blonde turned away and his voice took a less light-hearted tone. "Why did it seem like a fight was about to break out? Who is he?"

Jonathan turned around, a menacing glare in his eyes. "Is he why Mina is sleeping?" A threatening tension would assault the man before him. If the red man had brought up her bad memories and caused her to faint, he wouldn't be forgiving. Turning even if Heart started answering, he moved into the first room he was well acquainted with in Riker's Edge. Setting her on the couch, he would remove his jacket and throw it on top of the girl's sleeping body. "Wouldn't be a good thing for a guest to start causing problems ey 'Angry White Mage'?

The blonde found no surprise in the fact that the quest that he prepared himself was located in Graveyard. It was the place where the dead go to rest. The place he had sent Elsea. Stepping inside, blue eyes began to search the place for any undead monsters. None. That was surprisingly at least. Suddenly, a chill swept through the graveyard. The sky itself darkened and the air grew cold as a billowing fog erupted from the center of the the Graveyard. Now standing at its center was a hooded figure.

An echoing distant voice called to him in a raspy voice. "Do you seek redemption?" The blonde rested his left hand on the hilt of his blade. In response to the figure's question he nodded his head. The figure beckoned him with a pale hand towards a cobblestone path. Following the figure with silence. Was the figure taking him to the other end of the graveyard? Stepping forward, it was hard to ignore the putrid smell of death around him along with the icy cold. The trees down this path were all lifeless, hanging their leafless branches down over the path. The sound of whispers surrounded him and it felt as if multiple eyes rested on him. However, the blonde didn't falter. Didn't hesitate for a single moment. These eyes were there to judge him. The ghosts of those wronged. They would judge if he was truly worthy or not of returning to grace.

Retracing his gaze back to the path, he found that the cloaked figure no longer walked in front of him. No, instead a figure stood before him. A young woman. 'Elsea.' He knew immediately. It was a face that had haunted his nightmares many times over. In fact, this vision of her know was much easier to take then before. In fact, it wasn't just Elsea. They now stood back in the city of Coral. A figure stepped through him. A blond figure in dark armor, a heavy two-handed sword slashing through the woman's body. Wincing, he understood why he was being shown this. However, this was nothing. He had seen himself ruthlessly tear through this girl time and time again. His guilt reminded him constantly of the life he stole. All for his own benefit. For his Greed.

Reminder that Jon is green but I haven't actually closed that thread yet oops.

After a day of being lazy and simply taking a walk around, the blonde finally decided to see where Mina had run off to. He had found this cute little dessert shop on the eleventh floor and brought Mina some blueberry cake. Jon and Mina spent a lot of time together, but he let her do her own thing when she wanted. He knew where she ran off to, he just hoped that she wasn't drowning herself in alcohol for a buzz that would never come. When they managed to escape Aincrad, he was worried she'd have grown a crippling addiction for the taste. Pushing open to the familiar door of Riker's Edge, he would become surprised to not find everyone sitting out at the bar. He heard louder voices coming from within and moved in that direction. The wood creaked underneath his heavy footfalls as he made his way forward.

The blonde adorned jeans, a white T-Shirt, and a white and yellow trimmed jacket. He'd been pretty casual with everything after his relationship with Mina. He approached the door to find a figure standing there. What was her name? It was hard to remember with them all wearing their getups half of the time. "Guarding entrances still? That's all I ever seem to see you guys do." Jonathan stepped forward, but Shireen remained in front of the door. "I can't allow anyone in. Not as long as I live." Rolling his eyes, Jon simply walked forward and scooted the girl out of the way with his hip. "Looks like I just saved your life. Bam not dead huh? See ya later Shi- Diamond."

Opening the door, he felt the tension rush over him like a wave. What was going on in here? A quick scan, he would find that Rosa had some red-coated client. Maybe the transaction wasn't going well. Sniffing the air, Jon quickly complained, "Did you cook Ragout Rabbit again and not tell me? Rude." He stepped between the players and found the sleeping Mina. Cocking his head to the side, his voice became a touch more serious as he directed a question at Rosa. "I thought her random passing out and nightmares were gone now."

Picking up Mina in a cradle carry. He whispered to the others, "Couldn't have even taken her somewhere else why you conducted business?" He began to head back the way he came after kidnapping the girl. He pushed open the door to find Diamond still standing there frozen in place from his walk in. "Mine." He said in regards to Violet. He called back to Rosa as he stood in the doorway. "By the way, just letting you know that I had a fearsome battle to get in this door. I spared her in the end though!~" A light chuckle from the man as he moved to leave to another room.

  14. Watching over Mina's and Rosa's interaction, Rosa drawing out her words as she spoke about getting her another Shoji board. Stifling a laugh, he watched as Mina ran over to him and tugged on his shirt. "Jon, she's teasing me! She's teasing me!!A smile spread across his face, as he wrapped his hand around hers. "Oh the little birdie came back to the nest. Too bad, mama said FLY!" He give her a slight shove, barely enough to even push the girl off balance. Only a drunk would've fallen from it.

Listening to the conversations surrounding him, he heard the one known as Heart explaining exactly what he did for the group. "That just sounds like you got bored to me and just started punching things. An angry white mage." He joked to him. He turned back to Mina and Rosa. " 'nuff about shoji boards. I'm starving, what do we got?" He asked, a smug smile resting on his face. He was purposely acting way too comfortable around Rosa. She was a different kind of person, and in the real world talking to her like this would've probably been dangerous. Besides, maybe food would get the others to stop bickering over pointless nonsense. Though, for all he knew it was the way they showed their affection for one another.

  15. Note: Take all the time you need, I did this cause I was bored. And so Mina can't pin blame on me kek.

  16. The time had come. The battle would end here. Ignoring his party member whom had just become chained, he would direct the rest of his energy toward The Shadow. A blue light glinted off of his katana before he charged forward, swinging towards the Shadow with all of his strength. It created a gash in his opponent, the light of his sword art dying out. Could they do it? Was this the end of it?

The Shadow against the Labyrinth group had decimated them just the battle had just seemed won, would it be the same this time? Or was the enemy finally going to fall? Would death take it and finally allow them to progress another floor and bring them a step closer to home?

He drew back, taking a defensive stance. He had to be prepared if the boss would undergo a second wind. They had to make sure it would truly die.

  17. With the help of Crozeph, the bloodied shackles shattered and released their tank. An exhausted sigh escaped the blonde's lips as he turned his attention back to the boss. Now they could hopefully actually help bring this battle to its finale. There seemed to only be three members on their party at this point and the three of them needed to work hard enough to equal a full party.

    "Okay lets -"

Shackles formed around Crozeph, shackling him to the ground.

"Seriously? That's not fair." He mentioned in an annoyed tone. He lifted his sword high above his head before bringing it down on the metal chain links which snapped in two. With Crozeph freed they could hopefully focus on the task at hand. The problem came out to be that shackles would keep appearing at random and the Horrors would only keep spawning. As soon as they were unable to break the Shackles they were done for.

  18. It seemed that his entire party had taken some of the attacks to surprise, frozen in place. He was not apart from this fact. His watched as his tank became shackled down by the same attack that had attacked Macradon in the labyrinth fight. "Im on my way" He called out, aiming his attack at the links in the chains. His blade seemed to almost bounce off of the Bloodlust Shackle, however there was now a sizeable dent in the chain. He called to his allies. "Can I get some help over here? This chain is bad stuff."

Another attack should break the chain, the question was would someone else help break it. At this point, it may just be him and Yuki. Their focus may have to change to survival instead of contributing. The fourth party had essentially fallen. Some part of it was him to blame.

An eye drifted to the Shadow's health bar. Not too much longer now. He would be dead soon.

  19. The raid team had managed to work well together to bring the Shadow fight to its finale. This was the final push to the finish line. "Hit it til it dies eh?" he muttered, charging forward and attacking with the clean single slash. His blade met his opponents body before she charged backwards. He watched as the boss spawned terrifying creatures, those straight out of nightmares. They didn't appear that threatening however. "I suppose we could just leave those ones alone for now right? Hopefully that statement doesn't come back to bite us."

His eyes fell on his own energy bar, noticing that it was beginning to fall rather low. 'Perhaps I should start conserving it a bit more. That is starting to become quite problematic.' Who knew if his energy would hold out til the end. If they couldn't keep going  than the Shadow would prevail in the end. They just had to keep going for a bit longer now.

  20. Through their combined efforts, the numerous shadows had finally been brought down, revealing their final target. He washed down a gulp of fear upon seeing the Shadow once again. He essentially had turned the Raid Group into his toys. Even with the help of Orgoth, they hadn't stood a chance last time. However, he couldn't allow the fear to cloud his own judgement. As soon as he faltered, those that stood beside him would be at an even greater risk. He couldn't allow them to fall.

Activating his <<Charge>> skill, he shot forward towards the Shadow, striking with one clean strike. The blade met its mark, creating a gash along the chest of his opponent. While the damage wouldn't amount to much, it would still contribute to the death of the Boss. He fell back a few feet, sending a gaze to Yuki. Could she take his hits? Could the rest of the party take his hits? What if The Shadow started to pull his mass AoE attack? Could they manage to survive it if he attempted it? Or was he too drained to use an attack like that now?

  21. Light emanated from the shattered fragment, but it wasn't enough to shake off the darkness that covered the room. He lowered his hand, the crushed item bursting into the air. 'I suppose there goes the best item in my inventory.' he thought to himself. Ignoring the loss, he turned his attention to the foes at hand. A blue blaze would alight on his weapon, and with a single stroke, this blaze would cast in front of him, hitting the shadows in his nearest vicinity. Of course, his AoE attack was far too weak to strike them each down but it was enough to get it started. The real fight had yet to begin.

When clearing the labyrinth, the Shadow had proven his mettle. He was strong and hadn't shown a fraction of that strength. The attack that he had prepared to wipe each of them out. Why hadn't he just started off something like that? Was he weakened now? Had the lights actually come to some form of effect and that attack had taken much of his power?

Or was there something else to it?

  22. The blonde remained uncomfortably silent as he looked over the mess that was the group of players. A frown covered his face when they began to argue over nicknames for him. As they finished, he finally spoke up saying, "Well, sadly. The best of those was 'blondie'. I didn't even care for Sherlock much. I do my best, but figuring things out is usually one of my friend's forte." He gave a faint smile as his thoughts traveled to Itzal. While he didn't get to see the man all too often anymore, he was still a valued friend.

"Wait, what the- WHAT THE HELL DID YOU GUYS DO TO THE TABLE?!?!" Even Jonathan himself was startled by the sudden outburst. As his lover began to lament the loss of her Shoji board, it was all he could do to sit there and quietly say, "That's the most passionate she has ever been... with anything." He contemplated the game for a moment. "Isn't that like the Japanese variant of Chess? I don't think I've ever played that one." He hadn't gotten much into the Japanese culture even though most of the players in the game were Japanese.

"You do realize I fight with my fists, yes?"

"Yeah, but you aren't using it properly to your advantage. If you can manage to disarm her, you have the reach advantage." Mujo looked over to Rosa. She supposed their fighting styles were much and the same. They both were quick fighters that used Status effects and speed to win the game. Hidden had also used a dagger but used the Shadows and brute fighting prowess to push through. That was the difference between them. However, Hidden and the Faceless were gone. They had left her. 'I wonder if Hidden ever found what she was looking for.' Her eyes fluttered back to Heart. 'I found what I was.' She stood, a confident smirk playing on her face. "So what's your excuse with Spade? She uses a Scythe. If you get in close, her weapon is next to useless. Her weapon relies on momentum and for you to be at a certain distance. Honestly, are you actually suited for fighting?" Her words were spoken in a teasing manner. "Yeah yeah, their games and whatnot. Mina's poor blonde boy, he gets ignored and then made fun of, and then ignored again. Tough crowd."

  23. The battle almost seemed out of their control at this point. It was becoming overwhelmingly difficult to keep track of everything moving around him. The shadows danced along the walls as The Shadow and Orgoth bickered. Among the darkness was a few stable lights like the one that came from him and then the myriad of Sword Arts that shone through the blackness of the room.

Until suddenly, a new burst of light caught his attention. His face turned to meet the figure of the Red Coat Alchemist who held up what he assumed was the Pillar Fragment. A second burst of light came from Macradon. "Hey, that just might do something." He grabbed his from where it was instilled into his armor and raised it high in the air. "Activate Crystal" he whispered to it quietly. The fragment exploded into light, almost blinding it as it beamed its true brilliance. "Hopefully this helps out." He offered to himself.

    Pillar Fragment Activated!
