Comet walked around impatiently, unable to see anything that could be of significant values to him. However, that was when a boar rushed out from a patch of bushes and attacked him. With an instant reaction, Comet swung at the boar, sealing the boar's life and sending it to death with the powerful slicing move that he went ahead nad used. It was just a basic attack but it was definitely enough for him to kill the boar, ending its life and providing himself with loot.

Comet sighed. Once more, the game had allowed him no materials. Perhaps this game was so random that whether you find any materials would be purely based on complete luck. Of course, there was skills to increase the probability but other than that... The game was pretty much like other MMOs in terms of the fact that everything is based on luck with equipment and stats to influence the random number. Eh... Who was he to say, he was only a child anyway...

Comet smirked when he saw a peach on a lonesome tree hidden in the shadow of a much larger tree. This was rather fortunate because he was sure these types of materials were already taken by other players to the extent that they were probably extinct. However, it was not so and the reason for that is probably due to the fact that this peach was hidden and only people with keen eyesight would be able to detect it. Comet dismissed this thought as all that mattered was the fact he had obtained the material from this tree.

Comet sighed. Sure, he had been quite consistent in the beginning of his material gathering session. However, somehow, his luck had managed to disappear all of a sudden and he didn't appreciate it one bit. Either way, Comet was going to carry on with the material gathering session in high hopes of finding more materials. The day was still far from over and he would have plenty of materials by the end of the day so there was absolutely no point of him being infuriated at such an insignificant failure that would occur to him.

  5. Comet yawned as the man went ahead to equip his armor. Honestly, Comet didn't even think the man would have a need for such good armor when fighting the boars that he had wanted to fight. Indeed, Comet wanted to fight with boars that were weak so he wouldn't face the risk of death. However, Macradon was probably way decked out in his stats and hence, Comet thought the man had no need for armor. Either way, it was better to be safe than sorry and the man's armor was quite boss to Comet. Soon, as Macradon was getting ready and finally got ready, Comet began to speak. "Wow! That armor is super boss!" Comet exclaimed, excited at the decked out man's accompaniment of his battle training. "Honestly, I think I would only be able to fight really weak boars unless you fight with me. I think we should just get out there and fight some weak boars that are just outside the safe zones. Of course, unless they were all taken by other players already." Comet said, beginning to walk out of the man's shop, expecting him to follow. Soon, Comet arrived at the gate of the safe town. He could see the outside very clearly. Indeed, he had been out there once... Once for material gathering and to one-shot some boars with his new sword that he had obtained with Macradon. However, those were level 1 boars that held absolutely no significance in proving his skills. With a sigh, Comet stared out at the river that moved smoothly across the land and at the trees that danced to the brilliant wind that accompanied them. "It looks really nice out there...." Comet said to Macradon, admiring the early scenery. "Well! Let's head out now! I can't wait to fight some boars."

  6. Comet looked up now that the sun had disappeared from his eyes. Indeed, he had rather not be attacked by the sun's gallant rays and instead be left alone from such a powerful source of energy. Now that the sun had faded away from the gigantic eyes of Comet, he was able to discover that the morning was one of peace and beauty. The town was not fully awake yet and people, both players and shopkeepers, had only just begun to arise. The only sound was music that was coming from the birds that flew overhead occasionally. Otherwise, it was utter silence. Nothing was intriguing and everything seemed normal and just like the usual. Comet sighed, recently, he had had a lot of his interests be drained out by the boredom that the game would provide him at many times. Honestly, there wasn't much for him to do. He had fought boars and picked materials... Those were the only things that he could do to occupy his bored hands and mind. However, other than that, there truly wasn't much that he could do to grind out his experience and level himself up faster and faster. This morning was different from the others because this time, there was someone waiting by the entrance of the inn. Someone that he was not acquainted with. The man looked interesting enough with the black spiky hair that he had. Still, the man had a feeling of evil that Comet could not shake off. But, this was only upon first inspection so Comet decided that he would disregard it. Indeed, he was rather surprised when the man walked over with a small and weak introduction. It was friendly enough that Comet decided he would reply. "Good morning, sir. May I help you?" Comet asked with a huge grin, wondering if the man had business here.

Comet had expected there to be even more boars in the distance for him to fight. Nevertheless, he would look around for materials and well, he guessed his material gathering skills were yet to be polished and hence, he was unable to find any materials because of it. However, he didn't let the failure get to him. A few failures in the beginning of one is a learning process. However, when it gets too much, Comet might become frustrated and hopefully, he would be able to get a good amount of materials from all this.

  8. Comet sighed. He had recently moved into this new, cheap inn that he had become quite fond of. Indeed, he could live here for a while until he obtained more Col from killing mobs. Indeed, this inn might be cheap and dark, but it was actually in quite a good condition and Comet definitely didn't mind sleeping and living here for a while. He had heard that some players opened a shop and lived in there but opening a shop was definitely not something that would be a good idea for a child such as Comet. Indeed, he had almost no organization and is always goofing around. His customers would probably end up looking out for him instead of Comet serving them. With a sigh, Comet lay on his decent bed and stared at the ceiling. The past few days have been quite exciting. Indeed, he had gone material gathering while boar fighting by himself, material gathering with Helios, and combat training with Macradon. Things have been going on quite well and Comet liked how his experience was stacking up with each of these adventures. Soon, he would be very strong and then, he would eventually join the uncles and aunts in the frontlines to fight those bosses that threaten the lives of those that Comet cared about. The previous few days had been full of adventures. No time to waste. I wonder what today will bring. Comet thought as he jumped up from his bed. It was early that morning and he was already on the move for more experience gathering. However, as Comet was opening the door to the inn, his eyes were blinded a little, temporarily by the blooming light that awaited him on outside. The powerful light had exposed him to a new type of bright light. However, there was something... no... someone... that was standing there as a silhouette as the blooming light hit Comet's face.

  9. Comet yawned. It was early in the morning and he had overslept. Indeed, today, he wanted to have some combat training. Indeed, he had experienced a bit of combat with boars that he could one-shot but those were the easiest mobs to kill and the mobs in the future would definitely be a lot harder. Hence, if he could have some training early on during his leveling peak, he will be an experienced player when he faces mobs such as ogres and skeletons that he had heard about around town when players boast about their experiences. One day, he'd like to be just like them... Fighting tough mobs on the front lines and fighting very hard to free those that he cared most about.  Talking about caring about... What happened to her? Comet asked himself, knowing that no answer would come to him. Sure, Comet hadn't been able to find his childhood friend, but he knew fully well that the girl was still alive. Indeed, he could feel it... He could feel that the girl was living. With a sigh, he stood up from the bed that he had used from a cheap inn before walking out of the door and looking around. Nothing seemed to get his attention outside the inn.  I wonder if Macradon is available... He might be willing to teach me a bit about combat. He sure is an experienced person... Heck, he makes weapons! Comet thought as he charged forward with a new-found energy that had somehow managed to appear out of nowhere for his body. Soon, he arrived at the white-haired man's shop and with a grin, Comet opened the door and looked around to check where Macradon was. "Macradon? Macradon! Are you awake yet? I'd like some training if you can."

Comet smiled as he listened to Helios's explanation of what a material was. It seemed like pretty much everything that seemed material could be somehow taken and used as material. Indeed, this should make material gathering quite easy and he hoped that his hypothesis is correct as if it was, that would make life in Swords Art Online a lot easier. Indeed, lots of players who own shops charge materials instead of Col and if Comet stocks up on materials, he should be able to use them and buy several more equipment that he would have a need for. With an energetic, excited grin, Comet jumped up and down as he ran around energetically in hopes of the fact that he might be able to find material with his first material gathering attempt. However, Comet had failed to do so... Still, he believed that it was just beginner's rotten luck. Soon, he would be able to find lots and lots of materials. "No luck here. Let's continue to search though." Comet replied, scanning the area for anything that captures his attention.

  11. "Sure thing. I'm excited to see what your shop is going to be like but I'm sure that I'll definitely be there by myself later." Comet replied with a huge grin as he finished off his chocolate cake. The cake had been delicious. The flavor was full and there was absolutely little that can be taken away from the craftsmanship of the cake. The cake had stuffed Comet's stomach and he had been rubbing it when he was asked whether he planned to start a shop later on. Honestly, Comet could not even imagine himself running a shop. Indeed, it would probably be a chaos. He was never really an organized person and running a shop would truly be way too much for a child like he. Perhaps he might become a merchant once he becomes a high leveled player but that was something which must be considered in the future and not bothered with at the moment. Yup, Comet was way too busy trying to catch up with everyone else than running a shop and he didn't desire to run a shop either. With a sigh, Comet replied, "Sure must be nice to have a shop to live in eh? I can't quite do that... I gotta live in a cheap inn for a while until I can get a few Col gathered up to move on to a better one. Things have sped up for me and I really don't think I have a lot of time on my hands to run a shop. Do you get a lot of costumers, Helios?" Helios asked, thinking of ways to spark a conversation and at this point just wanted to know the dark-haired man better. It would be nice for Comet to gather a few more friends earlier on so he can have lots of people to contact if he needed quests to be completed in a hurried amount of time.

Comet sighed as he saw yet another material opportunity. Indeed, another boar had come from nowhere and Comet was quite amazed that there were so many mobs that were coming out from nowhere. Perhaps it was because one had been killed and the others who were hiding was now seeking revenge. Either way, he would go ahead and kill every weak boar that came his way for the opportunity of getting enough materials so that he could trade them in for more gear.

Once more, Comet watched as a boar arrived in the distance. It was evident that the boar wanted to take revenge for its fallen partner and now, Comet needed to strike it and hope that it, like its partner, would be able to drop him some good loot. Indeed, Comet needed this material in order to get a charm for himself and currently, no matter how little he wanted to kill, he had to keep in mind that these boars are only just computer programs and not live animals.

Comet backed up. Indeed, what stood in front of him was a boar and the boar with its red eyes definitely showed signs that it wanted to kill. However, Comet, now with his new sword will definitely strike the mob down and defeat it for materials. With a confident smirk, the boy clutched his dagger tightly and charged forward with amazing speed. Soon, he was able to strike the boar and he had done it with a great critical as well.

Comet had been walking along the path when he managed to trip on something. With a pained rub on his butt, he looked behind and stood up to see that the object in which he had stepped on was actually a green apple laying by the side of the road. With a shrug, he walked over, wondering if the apple was good for material usage. Indeed, he had found a material and he would definitely remember the first material that he would find... ever, in the entirety of his time here in Swords Art Online.

Comet sighed as he walked around in hopes of finding some sort of materials in the grass that was outside of the safe zones. He was fully aware that he would have to be very lucky in order to achieve this task of finding material here as most of it was probably already taken by other players in the past. With a sigh, he walked on, determining that there is no materials in the difference. With a even deeper sigh, Comet continued to walk on.

    Total Materials: 0

  17. Comet had gotten the equipment that he needed in order to get out there for an efficient material gathering session. Plus, he might get the taste of fighting level one mobs and now that he was level 2 and has damage of two, he should be perfectly fine with obtaining some materials off of these boars. Hence, as he walked out of Macradon's shop with his new sword in hand, he jumped up and down in excitement now that he was finally able to land powerful attacks on boars and hence obtain materials from them... A thing that he can use to buy equipment. He needed only armor and a charm... Shouldn't be too many materials.

  18. Comet watched as Macradon went ahead and craft right away. As a result, he saw a small, little dagger that seemed perfect for him. With that, his damage should be greatly increased and he was pleased with that dagger. Already, as he held the sword, he was sure that he could definitely get out of the safe zone and fight the boars that inhabit there... Indeed, Comet could definitely go out there and with his new amount of damage, he could definitely fight a lot of mobs for a good amount of materials as well. Plus, he was definitely safe now that he was level 2. With a smile, Comet looked at Macradon who had already suggested that 200 Col was enough and with that, he paid his cheap 200 Col and obtained the perfect dagger before walking out of the shop in excitement and appreciation. However, before he left, he began to speak once more. "Thanks, Macradon! I know I overpaid for this but I definitely won't forget this favor you did for me!" Comet shouted as he began to walk out of the town for the second time in his life.

  19. Without responding to the man's questions, Comet decided to just go on ahead of him and run out of the safe zone. Indeed, this was the first time that he had been out here and there were quite a bit of boars in the distance but fighting them was out of the question for someone as low leveled as he. Comet sighed in disappointment, knowing that he was still far too weak to do anything remarkable in this game. However, this only motivates Comet to become stronger and tougher so that he would eventually become a well-known fighter recognized among the people of this game. Comet smiled as he turned back to face Helios. "I'm really not sure..." Comet said, scratching his head as he put on a large grin. "What do you think, Helios? There are many things out here... I'm not even sure what would be considered a material. I haven't seen a 'material' in this game yet."  Comet said, blushing in embarrassment as he once again turned around to observe the scenery of the first floor. It was truly astonishing... The sky sheltered the miles and miles of grass down below and the boars were in perfect harmony with the rest of this virtual world. It was as if this game was so realistic that it was real. Comet shivered in astonishment and awe.

  20. Comet nodded his head. Naturally, pretty much everything that goes into his mouth at the moment tasted delicious. Perhaps it was due to how this game was designed or maybe it was just because he was starving at the moment since he had only eaten bread since eating steak with Macradon. He could feel the taste and he savored it much in hopes that it would last for a while as he continued to take spoonfuls of the dark chocolate cake and stuffing it into his mouth as the deliciousness was rather nice for someone with a small stomach and haven't eaten in way too long. Comet sighed, rubbing his stomach as it had been quite a while since he had something as sweet as that. Comet yawned, feeling rather sleepy but wanted to know the man better as he had been friendly enough to provide him with lunch. "Hey, Helios... I was wondering if you owned any shops?" Comet spoke with a smile, trying to set up some sort of conversation, any sort of conversation... in order to prevent the situation from becoming awkward.

  21. Comet chuckled as he saw the eyes of Helios dart forwards to look at the window. Indeed, he was obnoxious and he knew full well that he was obnoxious. However, this was the innocence that he had at the moment and he would really like to keep that childish moment that he had for now. He'd like to keep it all the way throughout the game and he shall survive this game, for his parents, for his loved ones. However, that was way too serious for an early game moment for him and death should not even threaten him as long as he doesn't engage combat at such a low level and as long as he is responsible in making decisions and other types of decisions, he should be fine in this game... This game wasn't pay-to-win, it should be fair and there is always a chance for surviving in every situation... One would just have to find the method of dealing with that situation. With a sigh, Comet jumped over and closed the window before replying, "How about just the outskirts of the town? I'm sure that there are a lot of materials out there such as fruits... Unless, of course, they are all taken by other players." Comet suggested.

  22. Comet chuckled at the ironic, unexpected twist of turns. Indeed, he did not anticipate that the owner was going to be Macradon. Of course, he was a bit pissed that Macradon had pulled a 'prank' of sorts on him and his childish mind. In fact, Comet had not noticed that the man was the owner only a few moments ago and honestly, the boy did not appreciate being trolled like that but of course, this was one of the only people that Comet actually knew in this game and he was one-hundred percent sure that the man meant good. With a shrug, he took the tools that Macradon provided him to place in and order and then placed in the order without hesitation. "Well, I only have 200 Col at the moment and I'm sure that that won't be good enough for anything at all. If you don't mind, I'll go get more Col eventually and then pay once I put together enough Col." Comet said, looking up after filling out the order form. "Might take a while, though... I don't have much to fight with."

  23. Comet had been looking at a perfect weapon when he heard a voice coming from behind him. Instinctively, he answered before looking back. "Ye-" Comet began when he looked back and realized that the person that asked him the question was no other than the man that had sent him here. Indeed, Macradon was standing there with his hand on his hip, looking towards him. Of course, this confused Comet, it was as if Macradon had known that he would be here prior to him actually being here. With a smile, Comet leaped up towards the handsome, older man before looking up and beginning to speak once more, "Hey! I didn't know that you were going to be here as well! Do you know where the owner is? I'm here to check out his prices and maybe even order a weapon." That was when he began to piece together the different pieces of the puzzle that were inside his mind. Wait, didn't he say: "Did Macradon send you?" Comet realized. "W-Wait... Are you the owner of this shop?"

  24. Comet sighed before responding to the man's question. Hopefully, Helios would not take him as someone of a lazy trait because he was definitely not someone who was lazy. Comet had actually spent the majority of an early game looking for a childhood friend... Well, not exactly a childhood friend as they were still friends when they both were launched into this game. Still, Comet wished that he would've actually begun to grind so he might really be in the front lines. However, his goal still remains the same... After a while of staying in the starting town, he has set his goal and his heart to become one of the greatest frontlines in the game. Indeed, he wanted to be known and he wanted to free the girl that had provided him with pretty much everything he had in his life and he wanted to show his appreciation by becoming a frontline and freeing all the players... Even if he has to sacrifice his own life. "There was someone I was looking for since the beginning of the game and I couldn't find her. Still, now, I pretty much gave up. Still, one day I'll meet up with her once more and I'm sure that she's still alive. There is no way that she is dead. Now, I'm planning on becoming of the greatest front line players even though that might take a while." Comet responded with a chuckle when he watched their food arrive.

  25. Comet sighed. He had pretty much no Col and no materials either. Plus, his lack of gear was bothering him and he had no budget to buy gear either. Hence, he was going to go out there with the intent of material gathering in order to supply himself with some sort of budget which would allow him to buy equipment that he was deeply in need of. Comet sighed, wondering who to look for. Indeed, Macradon would seem like the obvious choice as he had treated him very kindly. However, the man was probably way too busy to bother with material gathering with someone as low-leveled as Comet. The second option would be to see if Helios had any time. The man was much older than he but Helios had only just started a shop so the chances of him needing materials were actually quite high. Hence, if he offered, maybe the man was willing to take him on a material gathering session. With a yawn, since the day was still rather early, Comet walked to the man's shop and realized that the building had quite a low window. With a chuckle, the boy climbed onto the window and hopped in after opening the window. He had figured that the shop door was probably locked and here he was, inside the man's shop with his acrobatic flexibility uses. That was fun. Comet thought with a chuckle and began to look around, wondering where Helios was. "Helios! Helios! Where are you? I was wondering if you were willing to take me on a material gathering session?" Comet shouted out loud.
