  1. @Atzo

    "How many times have I attempted this quest now," Hydra mumbled as he entered the vicinity of floor nine, a depressed look on his face. Glancing around it appeared his companion for this quest had not yet arrived, "Hmm I am sure Atzo will be here soon." Slowly the brunette made his way towards a nearby rock taking a seat, even the floor was that of baking temperature, this being the volcanic floor that he hated the most. "It's past time I should have done this, the first Ethereal disappeared on me and the second I got lost in that crater." Hydra let out a sigh placing his head in his hands. Today with the help of his friend he had met under very 'unusual circumstances' this quest would be defeated once and for all. Briefly bringing up the description he glanced through the requirements, "Accept from the NPC warrior and head out to clear 'hunter bandits' off. Seems easy enough."

  2. The front flips were highly impressive, to say the least, Hydra knew if he were to attempt that he was certain to end up with some sort of injury. "Ah nice, it makes sense now and Enma? Is that your familiar." The fact that it was part monkey didn't surprise the spearman, although he was curious to find out if it was a familiar and if that was the case what sort of creature it was hybrid with. Raising his left arm he showed Dominion his own companion. "This is Twilight, she is part snake part dragon. Try and ignore the two heads." Each head proceeded to move away from the spearman's arm and flicker there tongues in the air, sensing the newcomers before withdrawing back into a coil around his left arm. "Sorry, she isn't the friendliest." Hydra laughed lightly to himself before he noticed his health bar drop a few points as his familiar had taken action to crush his left arm slightly for making such a remark. "Hmm..." Turning back to Dominion he glanced around. "Well, I was just about to head back to my store, but I suppose I have some time to kill." This whole floor was covered in hidden locations, all of the beauty. Small lakes, meadows of flowers and then the emerald lit forests. Encased by valleys and mountains. Hydra was certain there was plenty more location yet to uncover.

    @Dominion

  3. Hydra slowly began to approach the players, he was to far out of reach to hear the conversation that was going on between the two, but when one of them proceeded to pull there legs behind there back Hydra couldn't help but recoil in shock slightly. "That's... Interesting." He thought to himself in awe at the players ability. He then paused to glance down at his own legs, he didn't know the limitations to what one could do in this world but the adventurer was guessing that was something that had passed over into the game itself. "Hmm." Raising his head Hydra continued to edge forwards slowly, another player seemed to be looking in some sort of mirror. "I wonder what that's about..." At the sudden feeling of a rush of anxiety around his body he stopped to take in a breath of air "Ah maybe I'm not up to this after all."  Everything was still spnning around frantically in his mind, "What am I doing." The brunette repeated to himself once more looking whimsically up at the open sky.

  4. (OOC: As starts on day 1 Hydra is currently a 'green' player. Also, welcome to the community @JD @Lawrence! Again welcome, I hope you both enjoy your time here ;D)

    "What has just happened?" Hydra had asked himself this over and over again. "Trapped in a virtual reality, is it true, was that all just a dream?" The young spearman wandered over to a fountain in the center of the Town of Beginnings and looked into his reflection. An innocent, shocked face showed up in the reflection. Hydra slowly brought his hands up and lightly touched his face, his new appearance was far more attractive than that it had been, still, he couldn't help but feel uncomfortable everything seemed to be happening at once.

    Hydra remained at the fountain for a good while, his expression was calm although that was a simple facade, to say the least. As he glanced around at the various groups of players, some seemed to be reacting in different ways to the 'sudden event' from earlier. A man and woman crying, the tears streaming down their face. Another group who were shouting at each other in raised voices and raising their basic weaponry in the air. Then there were those like him, single without friends and alone. Slowly the spearman stood up, "I will need to find others." He whispered to himself in a quiet yet panicked voice, before standing up and making his way around the Town of Beginnings. Eventually, his eyes rested on two players and he began to make his way over.

  5. After a few more minutes of walking Hydra finally reached the entrance to the ominous building. "Err...." He shivered a little, the entrance itself was wide open, to one side it had collapsed leaving nothing more than a pile of rubble. The rest of the building wasn't much different, as before the black jagged spikes spiraled up into the sky creating an eerie dark feel to the place. In the center strewn tapestries and chairs were sprawled across the floor, suitable to that of a medieval setting. "A little further." Hydra' mumbled, his voice bounced off the walls in the empty room, taking their time to disperse. "Alright guess I should try not to talk too much." The adventurer thought to himself sarcastically. Clambering over various objects he eventually arrived at the end of the church, a small door led out into the front courtyard which was supposedly where this boss had been sited. Slowly the brunette creaked the door open and peered outside...

  6. Hydra lay flat on his back, staring up at the forest cover for a brief moment. Various shards of rock and rubble lingered around him, from the boulder that had just been smashed over his head, only a few seconds to all burst into crystals. It seemed Zandra had made no move yet, suggesting Hydra was still in the all clear. Watching the stun timer run down the spearman quickly and rather elegantly rolled over to his left as a huge monkey sized paw came thundering down only a moment later. "That would have hurt." He mumbled to himself staggering up onto his feet and brushing off the dust. The Monkey King seemed even more enraged at the fact that he was still standing and uprooted a nearby tree trunk which it now began lifting wildly in the air. "Great." All Hydra needed to do now was land a hit, he turned his head to Zandra who was still sat on a rock she seemed to be analyzing the situation from what he could tell. "Alright time to end this." Hydra continued to whisper to himself, turning back towards the field boss and readying his <<Merciless Flurry>>.

  8. Hydra had been strolling back casually when he heard a voice from above, somewhere amongst the trees. "Huh?... Is my mind playing tricks on me or." He paused in silence glancing around, he wasn't too sure where it had come from, or if it was in fact just the wind. "Friend... I think." He responded slightly confused at the ordeal. A moment later a player emerged from the trees above, Hydra glanced up blocking any filtered sunlight with his hands so that his eyes could adjust for a moment. The player before him was none other than @Dominion a friend of a friend known as Wolfie. Although Hydra had not seen him for a while, he believed his friend was doing well. "Haha, it has indeed, nice to see you again." The spearman let out a friendly laugh. "So um, what brings you out here, If I may ask?" The spearman continued, it wasn't that he didn't want Dominion to be there, in fact, the player was more than welcome rather it was just slightly unexpected. "Perhaps just pure coincidence." Hydra thought to himself, after all the second floor was one of the more attractive, he supposed it wouldn;t be that unusual to find wanderers and hikers.

  9. Hydra raised his head to Khrysaor's voice. "Ah hey there." He said tilting his head to one side and letting out a yawn. For a moment the spearman listened to his friend, Khry seemed concerned over his personal well being. "No no I am fine." Hydra continued to ramble, waving his hand in a swirling pattern. Apparently, Ryu wasn't going to make it to the event either, meaning it was just he and Khry left now. Hydra had also been promoted to Captain of the 'Sunny-Go' "I will try not to get us killed." He came out with a meek laugh, he recalled the time he had tried to drive a canoe and ended up capsized in the middle of a lake. To drive a ship was a whole new ordeal. As the NPC lady began suggesting new group formations it rested Hydra's nerves a little. He wasn't sure he was suited to being a captain, having his friends life in his hand. If push came to shove they would high-tail it out of there before things got properly under way. Or alternatively, maybe someone amongst the other players would step up to become captain.

    @Khrysaor

  10. @Atzo

    @Dominion

    Hydra casually wandered through the forest of the second floor, taking in the general environment. A heard of deer broke through the undergrowth and sprung lively between the trees, the sun broke through the roof of the tree cover and a gentle stream divided the forests between the sprawling hills. "What a great time to be alive," Hydra mumbled tilting his head to one side and resting his back against a trunk. He closed his eyes and took in a deep breath, it had been a while since he had gotten to do this. To just take a step back and relax from everything, a number of events for the past few months had been taking up his time. Not to mention the countless quests he had also been taking a stab at. Slowly opening his eyes he glanced around once more, despite it being the second floor it was one of the nicest. He recalled the times he had ventured out with countless partners, all of now who were on their own adventures. Well at least that was what Hydra had told himself, most of them he had lost contact with but now on a 'road to recovery' he would once again be able to return to the Town of Beginnings and hopefully make countless allies once more. Smiling to himself Hydra spun around and slowly began his venture back to 'Twilight Dreams' his store located deep within the forests of the second floor.

  11.  Hydra noticed a few more black rocks lying about as he made his way up to the spawn site. Crouching down he quickly collected them, a total of sixteen materials was certainly a victory in his eyes. For now, he would need to refocus his attention back on the boss at hand. As the spearman continued up the path he began kicking coarse gravel to one side. "My nerves are beginning to get to me," Hydra mumbled under his breath, with each step he felt the beating of his heart grow a little faster, forcing the adventurer to pause and take a few breaths. Glancing towards his health bar he had healed a decent amount, it was far off from full. "Alright you need to calm down, we just took out a centaur so we can surely take out this." His words carried little meaning as they dispersed with the wind. Shaking his head slightly the brunette looked back towards the church, another 5 minutes he'd be at its entrance. Right now he couldn't make out all that much, though, thanks to the incline he was walking up.

  12. Hydra truly hadn't expected his first hit to do so much, he would have to apologize to Zandra later for dragging her all the way out here. Still, it was nice to have someone watching his back, as he turned around to nod, but the beast caught him off guard. Rather, the ape picked up a boulder that looked to be the size of a tree and launched it directly at the spearman. According to the information, the ability was an area of effect and suppose to strike the whole party, as Zandra hadn't participated in combat yet Hydra was unsure whether she would be affected. In any case now wasn't the time to be thinking on that, surging forward he struck out again with <<merciless flurry>> and bringing the monkey king down to a slither of health. "Really..." Hydra said sarcastically as the large stone fell from the sky and crushed him. Thanks to his armor he should have mitigated most of the damage, it left him more than dazed, though, unfortunately allowing the ape a free attack the following turn.

  13. Hydra staggered along to the gathering point of the Rovian Wars event, muttering to himself what most would hear as gibberish. "On the hour i shall has't conqu'r'd the flote, 'r the lady shall has't claim'd me soul." He wore a tuxedo that had become ragged and torn, a deep gash running through the center, his lunar-light charm swung loosely around his neck, seemingly of no value. It appeared many were already here, the brunette wandered through the large crowd of players to the 'Sunny-Go' it wasn't the largest or most intimidating by far but the spearman didn't seem to care. "Now, where be the crew." He said with a groggy, slightly depressed look as he scanned the area for @Khrysaor and Ryu. Upon none of them being sighted he let out a slight sigh. Since the previous event and his loss to Mack, he had found himself crashing into a downward spiral. Now to show up here with no clear plan set out and no teammates as of yet wasn't exactly helping with his current 'mentality'.

  14. Hydra was insightful, he didn't know much about Damien's background but he could see that his proposition was perhaps tormenting his friend in some way. "Perhaps I should have waited." Slowly and gently he raised his hand placing it on Damien's shoulder and then proceeded to speak in a calm, and slightly sad tone "I too am haunted by memories of the past, I cannot forget them and I can not forgive myself for what I did but..." He paused and looked up to the sky, his eyes glistening in the moon slightly. "I look to correct my mistakes, to help others and hopefully one day, I will earn the peace I look for."

    As the players shook hands Hydra felt he had taken one more step towards that goal, he owed Damien a lot more than his friend might have realized. Now Hydra wished to help him in however he could. As Damien asked what the next stage of the plan was, Hydra had some sort of idea. "I heard there is a boss somewhere on this floor, I was planning to have some players gather and bring it down. Hopefully in the process getting a few to join in. As for after that, well..." The spearman scratched his neck and laughed "Let's just say I'm working on it. Haha, I am going to go ahead to the boss site for now. From what I have heard it isn't too strong your help would be great, in any case, I will catch you later." As Hydra began to make his way to the supposed location he made sure to send Damien a friend invite, this was hopefully the chapter of a new story for Hydra...

  15. A shot of pain shot up Hydra's left arm, rendering him immobile for a few seconds. He caught a glimpse of the stun timer on his opponent, by now it had drawn to a close and the <<monstrosity>> could move freely again. Hydra's mouth curled slightly, a bead of sweat ran down his cheek. Baring its fangs and rearing up it prepared to lash out at him, all the spearman could do now was brace himself. "Why now..." He growled in pain, as he closed his eyes expecting the worse. The sound of the beasts roar filled the night's sky, only to be cut off midway. "Huh..."

    Hydra's eyes slowly opened, where the beast once stood @Damien now remained. Hydra paused for a moment, his facial expression slowly turning from one of bewilderment to one of joy. "You did it!" He smiled, the spearman staggered forward clutching his left arm, the pain was harsh but with time Hydra knew it would heal. "Thank you and the material is all yours. I have enough for now." The brunette responded, managing a slight but drained laugh. He paused again it was strange how quickly it all calmed down, once again just the moonlight and the soft drifting of the snow. Hydra breathed a deep breath of air, the chilling feel filled his lungs and then refocused his attention on the player.

    "I have seen only a few players fight with such passion, say, would you help me form this guild?" Slowly walking forward the spearman held out his right hand, in the palm of his hand rested the crescent moon sigil.

  16. The path only seemed to grow more barren as Hydra moved along. "Ah well, guess I have no other choice than to push on now." He mumbled under his breath. The church grew ever closer and he could begin to make out more features. Not to his surprise it appeared to be barren and run-down, the brunette was never expecting to waltz into a great chapel and what not, still, this whole thing added to the eerie feel. He would do what he could to earn his salvation, and if death was the only other answer "...Then so be it."

    Flicking through his interface he bought up what information he had gathered, "So somewhere around the church, a boss will spawn, in order to become green once more I must defeat this boss. According to other rumors, the boss is depicted as an angelic being." Hydra paused scrunching his face up a little, "Makes sense I suppose."

  17. Hydra fumbled around with his spear, he rarely practiced training with his right hand so despite the quick change the whole ordeal of it felt awkward. His health bar continued to drain eventually coming to a stop at what roughly seemed to be around two-thirds of his health. "I should be more careful next time." He glanced towards Damien, it seemed the other player was struggling to land a hit, Hydra had been there before, he most likely would now if he didn't have accuracy. Still, he realized the player had the skill, with the right conditioning the spearman knew Damien would be able to get a hit. Stumbling forward the brunette ducked to one side avoiding another swing attack, then cutting underneath he jabbed the beast in its throat three times over. It seemed to work but the damage wasn't enough to finish it, with Hydra's left arm partly severed he couldn't perform his stronger sword arts.

  18. By the time Hydra had regathered himself, it appeared he was a little too late. The boss now directly in his face, he winced before raising his arm to strike it in the face. His sword art cut deep, but he knew from his earlier damage it wouldn't be enough to slay the <<monstrosity>>, as he drew back his spear the beast now struck him in his vulnerable position. Hydra had feared what could happen, and now it was happening, it clenched its jaws around his left arm and proceeded to completely rip apart the bottom half, causing it to shatter into crystals, it was incredibly painful but the spearman had no time to cry out. With what strength he could he pulled the remaining part of his arm out of the creature's mouth, transferring his weapon to his less-dominant right hand in the process. Then stumbling backward he clenched the bleeding wound, it appeared not all damage had been inflicted yet. With time Hydra knew it would generate. "I'm good..." He managed to mumble in a weak tone and with a smile, although his face clearly twisted in pain.

  19. As Hydra reached the peak of the hill, surely enough it seemed the rumors were true. In the far distance, Hydra could make out a church as clear as a light in the dark. Menacing spiked pinnacles reached into the sky, the walls stained pitch black in color. "Looks inviting." The spearman mumbled sarcastically, for a church it was very strange, then again if the only people visiting were player killers, he supposed it would be a fitting end for those who could not earn salvation. As the brunette continued along the path he kept his eyes out for any more black stones or other materials, unfortunately, nothing stood out as being craftable in his store. "How unfortunate, I suppose I will just need to keep looking." The sky had turned from daylight to a musky purple haze by now, it was odd, to say the least, thematically it all tied together, though. "To think a place like this existed on the first floor."

  20. After Hydra was done regathering himself, he once again began to make his way through the graveyard, this time with far more caution than earlier. Whilst the centaur had come to life, the other two statues remained still and solid. The brunette didn't know whether it would be so obvious as for them to activate as well,"Better to be safe than sorry..." He mumbled taking a longer walk around. The last thing he needed right now was a dragon made of stone attacking him. The graveyard had a rather steep incline after a little more walking, the eerie feel only grew worse as the trees began to shed their leaves, there branches becoming dead and dry spears of their own. "According to the information once I reach this hill I should be able to spot a church or so." Hydra briefly glanced at his health and energy, it wouldn't take long for his energy to regenerate, however, his health was another story. "Look's like I might need to go into the next battle with fresh wounds. For the time being, I will see if I can gather any more materials. Buy as much time as I can spare."

  21. "Keep going at him, we will eventually get him." Hydra shouted across to Damien, with the various movements of the combatants, the <<winter monstrosity>> had now placed itself between the two players. At the very least this thing was focused on him, as Damien retreated to perform another strike, Hydra made his own move. Like earlier the snow masked many boulders and stones underfoot and the spearman went tumbling forward into the snow. At the very least the fall had meant him dodging the opponent's claw attack, its hand sweeping in the thin air above him. "Dammit sorry." Hydra mumbled, not that Damien would be able to hear it. He didn't know his friends level but by the looks of things he seemed to be skilled enough to activate some powerful looking sword arts, he just needed a good opening now to strike the beast. Hopefully Hydra's tumble would have done enough to create that, in any case they had the upper hand.

  22. Hydra really had no idea what was going on, the party that was just about to be formed somehow dispersed into dust as various swarms of players made there move towards the boss. "Eh..." Today hadn't been the best, no valentine, he had lost his only unique and now a boss had spawned which he hadn't heard the briefing for. The brunette watched as various parties went at what appeared to be an angel with a flock of crows surrounding her. "My area of eff..." He watched helplessly as his targets shattered into fragments, seemingly another player taking most of the flock down. "Well," It had become a common sight now, the amount of frontliners was just to overwhelming for these event bosses. Hydra wasn't sure whether to be glad or unhappy about that, it wasn't like he was in for a chance of the final drop anyway but he was certain that other's had the potential of obtaining them.

    In any case as the damage stacked up it eventually reached to his turn, preparing his charge he rushed the closest mob which happened to be the one remaining crow. It felt a bit like a comedic act trying to stab a small bird twelve times whilst it flapped about, eventually he finalised. "I can't even take down this?" Letting out a sigh he retreated back and looked towards the next in his party, which happened to be Sey. "Good luck," The spearman mumbled in a sarcastic yet humours tone, he knew his friend wouldn't need it.

  23. (OOC: No worries :3)

    Damien went in first, only moments later to trip over something. Hydra laughed awkwardly as he moved over himself to help the player up. The covering of snow was thick so it was very easy for one to stumble as everything was masked by in a blanket of white. Once Damien was back up, Hydra refocused his attention of the monster. Its behavior was certainly bestial, it seemed to be sizing the players up whilst performing 'fake charges', the spearman couldn't quite gauge when it would actually attack. "Guess I will strike first then." He mumbled. As he always did, Hydra proceeded to enter a crouched stance and readied his charge skill. It took a moment but after a quick breath of air, he moved swiftly and silently between the snow. He wasn't sure which was more chilling, the beast itself or the fact there were no cries of pain. Just his spear ripping into its virtual flesh twelve times over accompanied by nothing except a dead silence. Finally finalizing, Hydra paced backward avoiding a monstrous hand that attempted to swipe at him.

  24. Hydra listened to Zandra's advice, Zandra seemed like a kind-hearted person which surprised the spearman a little. He always expected those fighting on the front lines to be more hard-headed and less merciful to the lower leveled players. Meeting the berserk healer today had quelled those suspicions as mere rumors. "Thank you," Hydra responded sincerely, he really appreciated the advice. Turning back he faced the spawning spot and then took a step forward. For a moment an eerie silence hung. "Perhaps someone has killed it recently?" The brunette pondered a little confused. Deciding to take another step forward he ensured he had the usual gear on, he also prepared his <charge> skill despite nothing being in sight, the two were susceptible to an ambush in this current location.

    His prediction was correct, not only that but he knew exactly where the boss was coming from. Hydra shot forward dodging a huge hairy fist which crashed into the ground from above, sending a large shockwave and rocks the size of boulders flying in all directions. Monkeys were expert climbers so it made sense for it to start with an aerial attack. Spinning back around Hydra's charge triggered and he went flying at the giant ape stabbing it over and over again in its belly. Crystals flew in all directions but it was only enough to wound it. "Hmm." He slid backward and took in a breath of air, Zandra was right, if he kept at this pace then he should come out of this unscathed.
