  1. As Hydra went in for his first strike the General grabbed him lifting him up and practically crushing his body with his, hooves? Hydra winced at the surge of pain but glared right back in his eye. "I couldn't care less if you feared us or not, all I care about is getting my steak sandwich for lunch." The spearman had never tried taunting a cow before, in fact he wasn't the type to provoke others. In this situation however he couldn't resist the opportunity, it was only an NPC after all. The second strike came not soon after, players from his group rushing forward one by one. It appeared that one of the group had tried calming the others down, the brunette didn't know if it had worked or not but in any case he managed to free himself from the iron grip of the general. Skidding backwards until he came to a halt he then sprung forward once again activating merciless flurry. The effect of charge would no longer apply however he was already within a striking distance of the general.

  2. A slight fog lingered over the front courtyard. "Hmm, straight from a horror movie." Hydra mumbled, there were signs of nothing moving so he made his way out. There was only one direction to move which was forward, as Hydra made his way his footsteps were now louder than ever, seemingly producing the rhythm similar to that of a heartbeat which echoed all around him. After a little while of walking an object in the distance and obscured by the mist began to appear. "Could it be?" The spearman whispered to himself. Pausing for a moment he took a deep breath of air in. The effects of the boozy brownies were still in play so his head wasn't as clear as it could be. With a few steps he began to edge his way forward slowly. The fog began to thin until he was met with a large statue of an angel that stood before him. It was about three times his height, two large stone wings protruded from its back and its faced masked by some sort of hood. "Reminds me of Tyrael..." The spearman mumbled thinking back to diablo. After a few seconds his orange cursor was registered and the statue suddenly shifted. Readying his charge skill all he needed to do now was kill it in a single shot.

  5. Hydra felt his heart nearly exploding at the sight of 40'000 col, he felt as though he had ripped Zandra off after coming all the way out here to help him. Still he supposed she seemed fine with it, "Are all frontliners this rich?" He thought to himself, the most he had ever reached was 25'000, this was practically doubled. Once the trade had been completed Hydra bowed his head and thanked Zandra once more for attending his attack against the Monkey King as well as for the large amount of col, "This is more than enough, thank you." He said sincerely. The Monkey King was another Boss of his check list, yet he understood it would be a long while before he could reach the frontlines. "I need to train a lot more." He mumbled to himself glancing down at the palm of his hand. There were a few quests that were probably past his level, to start with them and get them done was perhaps the smartest idea. Then he could really focus on the bigger enemies.

  8. "Haha and thanks, and a snowflake? Oh, you mean this." Hydra scrolled through his inventory withdrawing the item from the Christmas event. Originally he had planned to use it on Lyrica's fang but he had no need of it now, although the prices for these things were going high on the black market Zandra was more than deserving of this item. "Here, it's all yours." Hydra smiled opening up a trade menu and putting the snowflake up for an offer. It would be a while before he would get another unique, in fact, he might never get one. A frontliner could make more use of this than he could. "Col? Oh, I suppose I could use some but only if you're certain." Hydra had about 20'000 right now, most of it which he was planning to donate to the guild. Even a little would help although he felt a little guilty making Zandra pay for it. This snowflake supposedly had a value of in the 10'000's though, whatever Zandra offered he would take more than willingly.

  10. The boss shattered not moments after and once more everything returned to quiet. The sound of the iron doors creaking open could be heard from behind them, "Mmm, nice." Hydra said humming a pleasant tune to himself at their sixth victory. That made the Banshee, the Water Serpent, the Elvish King, the Hell Hound 'Cerberus', the Flaming Tiger and finally the Sandile or whatever it was called. "Are we missing any?" Hydra mulled to himself. Passed the gates Mist seemed to be waiting for them a curious look on her face. Turning back to Sey Hydra bowed his head slightly, "Thanks for blocking that final blow... now we can finally relax and get out of this place." The spearman chuckled, even if the enemies axe had landed he doubted it would have done much, yet Sey was still kind enough to block the blow for him. It was those acts which Hydra respected the most and those he wished to learn from in the future. Hoisting the 'Water Serpent's Fang' over his back the duo could finally head out. "Oh?" Hydra turned his head he forgotten this was a quest and it had been a while since he had levelled up. "Am I glad I bumped into Sey." He laughed to himself heading out the arena.

  11. Once Sey had done his part Hydra followed swiftly after. Triggering his charge ability alongside the passive effect of ferocity he was able to bring the Sand Setsu into a killing range. Enraged the beast's fury caused it to increase in size, the spearman could sense its blood lust even from here. However... Hydra knew the battle was already over, neither him or Sey had sustained any damage, all that was needed now was Coup' de Grace to finish this thing off. All they needed to do now was prepare for a final blow off this sand crocodile. Hydra readied himself to evade its mighty axe, alternatively he could try use his spear to block it. In any case he doubted its damage would be anything significant considering its already low portion of health. "I think we need to face something more dangerous." Hydra thought to himself, there strongest opponent yet had been the Water Serpent which had very nearly killed him.

  12. As the group drew closer the arena grew more disturbing in look. What Hydra originally saw as a colosseum turned out to be a sphere of jagged spears. "Maybe I can find a new weapon here." He laughed sarcastically trying to ease the building tension. In the center of the arena lay a hollowed out area which could only be assumed to be the fighting arena. Looking towards Mist, Hydra gave a slight nod. If she came in with them he couldn't guarantee her safety. Mainly due to the fact he had no actual idea what this thing was. "Don't worry I will try not to die." The adventurer continued smiling at her, as Sey headed on in. Finally bowing his head and turning back around he followed in after his snow-haired friend. The quest seemed to require they both entered because soon after a set of jagged gates to the arena slammed shut. "Hmm, looks like we are trapped after all." A dead silence hung for a moment, only the whistling of the wind could be heard... Then like a crack of thunder, the whole arena seemed to explode into life and with a roar there foe revealed himself. A large bipedal crocodile-clad in armor and wielding a mighty ax dropped in. The challengers, Hydra and Sey. "After you." Hydra told Sey whilst laughing lightly to himself.

  13. "Arena?" Hydra glanced towards the building in the distance, it was true, a large colosseum masked by sand clouds stood, the whole thing looked eerie. "So that's where the quest will take us then." Hydra had heard rumors about this quest, not good ones to say the least. Countless of lower leveled players had supposedly taken it, they believed because it was only on floor five it would be simple enough if they could overswarm the boss. Yet once one were to enter the colosseum arena it was a death trap with no escape exit and to make matters worse the creature could twirl around with its blades and cleave anything it touched in half... Of course, these were just rumors. "Well, I am ready when you are. Mist will have to watch from the sidelines, though." He said laughing slightly as Sey tried to teach her how to say his name properly. The spearman proceeded to scroll through his inventory, he had a few potions here and there but nothing which could come into to much use. Eventually, he settled with his standard set. "Whatever this thing is me and Sey should be able to take it."

  14. As the generals began to show there faces the battle started as something rather comedic, Hydra couldn't help but laugh at the various mooing that was going about between the generals. After mere moments his laughter quickly faded, the first group to attack was none other than one containing most of his new guild mates. The spearman hadn't even met half of them yet but he watched helplessly as one of the members got crushed in a single blow, shattering into many crystals. Another player known as Raina, one he had given an item to also looked to be in a critical condition as well.

    "I can't make it in time." Hydra thought to himself as the bull prepared another attack. Seemingly what happened next was the whole vanguard exploded in anger at the death of the player some aiming straight for Nato others attacking Asterios and a few Baran. Hydra noticed one of the frontliners taking a large amount of damage, two of them looking as though they had been paralysed. 

    Taking in a deep breath and dispelling the panic he looked back for his group and target. Hydra trusted Atzo would be able to protect the guild and Raina, for now Hydra would help eliminate Baran. Once his eyes had settled on the general he rushed forward following Sey and two other players in the same group as him. With the combined effects of ferocity and charge Hydra struck the 'Water Serpent's Fang' into Baran as many times as he could muster before retreating and preparing for the counter-attack there group was likely to receive.

  15. I like the idea of this. Another suggestion which people may or may not like is putting a level cap on the floor bosses themselves.

    At first, I wasn't so sure about this but thinking about it, in a way using this method offers a few advantages. Firstly it would provide a means for other lower leveled players to obtain some of the more powerful items. Secondly, it stops the people further ahead from getting too much further ahead and closing the gap. It also allows the boss designers to tailor the bosses down to a better-suited level. Of course, this raises the question of 'Is it fair?' and to be honest not really, considering the frontliners have put more effort to get where they are than anyone else. Another alternative could potentially be a 'Stat cap' in that case. 

  16. Hydra heard a "Nya!" Followed by a Mist tumbling down a sand dune at incredible speed. Hydra watched for a moment before rubbing his eye and letting out a sigh. Then as fast as he could run made his way after Mist. It took him a while to catch up to his runaway partner, finally once the sand had settled he made her out as well as another familiar face. "Sey?" He thought, recalling the snow-white hair he had previously sighted earlier. That didn't change the fact Hydra was still surprised, I mean after all they did happen to be in the middle of a desert on the 5th floor. As he approached he noticed two other players who seemed to mysteriously getting further away. "The heat in this deserts can create some weird illusions?" Turning back to the others he rushed over and lightly tapped his hand against Mist's forehead "What were you thinking." He smiled lightly at the girl with a hint of relief in his voice. Once he had made sure she was okay he turned back to Sey. "Sorry about all this, still it was lucky catching you here." Hydra laughed. "Were they your friends and of course I could never pass on a quest." Hydra glanced at Mist "You might need to sit this one out though."

    A barren whistle surrounded Hydra as he took a step out onto the desert wasteland that compromised the fifth floor. "How I missed this place." He muttered sarcastically although a smile on his face, upon recalling the old memories of this floor. These included his travels to obtain the survival skill as well as the dungeons he had tried to find with Allania, fortunately to no avail. The dagger user had been the only girl he had gotten to know on a friendly level, well at least that was until recently when the player known as Mist had found him and since had begun chasing him around for whatever reason. "Speaking of Mist I wonder where she is?" He threw glances left and right. "It'd be pretty obvious if she was here," Hydra continued, either she had gone off ahead and was probably lost in the desert or was late as per usual.

    Letting out a sigh Hydra equipped his gear and slowly began to stumble towards the NPC villages that scattered this floor. The reason he was here in the first place was only because she had asked him to come, Mist was still a beginner level after all so it was too dangerous to come up alone. "Now where could she ha... Huh?" The brunette paused mid-sentence, it was hard to make out in the sweltering heat but for a moment Hydra could have sworn that he caught a glimpse of snow-white hair. Failing to recognize the shadow of something approaching from behind him, something with a fox headband on its head and a weapon double its size.

  19. As Hydra finished up crafting Dominions items a new customer but an old friend walked into Hydra's store. "Hey!" Hydra said smiling at Sey. The brunette had already received his friends order so got to work on it as soon as possible. "Let's see." It was interesting to see all the customers different tastes. Some prefered simpler designs, others prefered items that appeared to be enchanted or otherwise under some weird effect. Hydra supposed his own work was related more to that, however he didn't mind receiving any type of order. Sey was after a pocket watch. "Interesting." The artisan thought to himself as he began his work. At the start it looked as though his luck had run out, ruining the first few attempts he made. "I got to try harder." He mumbled under his breath. After a few more attempts of crafting Hydra had finally managed to pull it off and craft the pocket watch. "All done." He said gleefully quickly returning to his snow-haired friend.

  20. With his friends Atzo's perfect crafted he could finally work on Dominions. Unfortunately he had forgotten about the monks lending him a stack of materials and only now he recalled them. "Oh crap I should really begin on these." Hydra spent the next half the day crafting items from just two materials. The requests themselves were interesting but Hydra was able to pull through in the end turning both the items into that requested by the customer. Truth be told he felt a little bad, the other members of the guild had both received free items and Dominion had had to lend him some materials just so he would be able to craft them. Once the items were ready he set each one to one side sent a quick message to Dominion and decided to relax. The 18 materials and the col would both be returned back to the original owner.
