Allania

Allania felt a hand on her face, warm and soft, the hand gently moved her head, raising it to once again look up at Rae. Allania looked at Rae's face, taking once again its little details and quirks. Rae then leaned forward, Allania was just thinking she was going to whisper in her ear again, or get a closer look. That was not what happened though, certainly not. Rae's face continued to get closer, nearer and nearer until she began to kiss Allania. Allania's once again froze, her eyes white globes in her head as she was shocked, but the kiss did not break off so quickly. After a few stunned seconds Allania came back to her sense and returned the kiss, her eyes becoming almost closed as she kissed Rae in return. 

Rae finally broke off the kiss, leaning back and looking at Allania. Allania was breathing heavily though, the kiss having taken her breath away. Once she had recovered enough to speak she raised a finger to her lips, touching where Rae's lips had been but moments before, "that was my first kiss", she said, looking up at Rae, "it was nice" she said quietly, a bright smile then illuminating her face.

Allania watched as Macradon charged forward, moving faster than any player she had seen so far. He reached the fins before they were ready, unprepared they leaped out from the sands only to be cut down by the charging tank. The fight was over in an instant, the pixelated fragments hanging in the air as he walked back over to Allania. Wit the enemies defeated Allania lowered her dagger, placing it back in the sheath at her hip, "I only caught a glimpse of them, but they did seem somewhat ferocious, a lot more deadly than anything I have come to face yet," Allania admitted, still gazing at the remnants of the Barracudas slowly beginning to fade, "Well done!" she then said, snapping out of her trance and turning to Macradon with a smile. Finishing what she said Allania followed after him towards their goal.

Allania continued to roll about on the ground, her movements becoming ever more predictable to the attacking scorpions who were soon able to land blow upon blow onto her slight frame. The blows however were glancing, deflecting off her armour to do minimal damage, once again scraping their tails with the thorns upon her chest piece. With their assault faltering from the damage Allania spun up to her feet, dagger raised and launched herself at them, her dagger whistling through the air as she sliced into their chitin carapace, shattering each one into millions of fragments. With them defeated Allania picked up the dropped materials and moved on.

Allania remained there, sat with a girl upon her lap, stunned. To some the compliment may not have meant much but to her, a person who was new to such things got hit hard by it, hence her inability to respond. Her mouth slightly ajar, moving marginally up and down as she tried to consider how to respond but nothing was able to come to mind, so she just looked at Rae's face taking it in once again. Hmmm, her cheeks just blushed up again, I wonder what she's thinking, Allania thought.

Allania broke out of her trance ever so slightly, Rae's words acting as a catalyst to help her recover. do something? Allania thought, somewhat worried at the consequences, it couldn't be anything damaging, we're in a safe zone after all. Allania shook her head side to side, a barely perceptible movement but one to help clear her head, then put on a smile towards Rae "I'm looking forward to it" she said quietly, looking down, not meeting Rae's eyes.

While they were on their back foot Allania attacked once again, leaping forward only to have sand quickly meet her face. She had tripped, the sand underneath her foot giving way as she kicked forward, the culprit of the incident. With her face down on the ground Allania could only hear the scorpions closing in before she looked up to see they were closing in. Even though she was on the floor she would not let herself be hit, and so began to roll about on the sand, dodging the barbed tail of the scorpions by centimeters.

The scorpioned backed off, having taken such damage from attacking, yet dealing so little damage themselves. They seemed unsure of the fight, thinking that they would have been fine with the advantage of numbers, however it was already clear that the favour was tipped against them. Lady luck was not on their sides. Not wanting to let them get away Allania attacked, cutting their train of thought short, unlike how she cut into their carapace, as she pitifully missed, the scorpions having staggered back as she charged. While they staggered back they sent their tails darting forwards trying to pierce her heart, but as flustered as they were, they were unable to hit home.

Allania walked along besides Macradon, they walked in silence for the most part. Not an awkward silence though, just the silence of two people aiming for their goal. Well, that may have been true for Macradon, but Allania quickly became distracted, looking around everywhere, taking in all the sights. Although it was a barren desert there was a lot to see if only one gave the world the time to show itself. Within the desert there was no pattern, the dunes dancing around one another, interlocking, crests of varying heights, cacti and shrubs scattering the horizon.

However Allania did not notice the collection of mobs swimming through the sand, only being alerted to their presence by the words of Macradon. Sand Barracudas? I wonder what they'll be like, Allania thought, never having seen a Barracuda before or what one was. Allania quickly concluded they were some form of fish, evident by their fin slicing through the sand, heading towards them. In repsonse Allania took out her dagger, holding it up in front of her face, ready to try and avoid any attacks from the feral fish fiends, nodding in repsonse to Macradon's last statement "over to you".

Allania was sat there, hoping top have successfully changed the topic. That illusion though was quickly shattered, broken apart as Rae spoke and leaned forward Rae's face right next to her own and whispered ' I really, truly, am enjoying this. '. The words sent a tingle down her spine, the voice so close to her ear, it felt intimate. Rae then shifted on her lap,  moving her head to be inches away from Allania's, much like how Allania's had been before. This time though Rae was observing, studying Allania's face, it made Allania feel vulnerable, so open to this girl upon her lap. It was only then that Rae began to answer Allania's questions, questions that she had disregarded until now. Allania was not paying attention though, still enraptured by the girls face, feeling so exposed.

Allania was not ready for what came next though, Rae let out a few little words before leaning back and hitting Allania with the next ones, ' You are very very VERY pretty. ' she had said. Allania did not know how to respond, her eyes wide and her face once again lighting up to be scarlet. Her mind had gone blank, her words left her as she sat there, dumbfounded with a girl on her lap giving an overt compliment, one that Allania knew she reciprocate but could not say, the words could not escape her mouth. Stunned Allania sat there, her mouth hung slightly open.

Not relenting while she had the attacking moment Allania began to attack again, activating the same sword art. Her dagger glowing with a faint blue hue it spun around, once again slicing into the carapace of the scorpions, leaving faint red pixelated lines where she cut, indicating a wound. When her sword art had been completed Allania did not have the time to get back into a defensive stance before the scorpions launched their assault. Their pincers moving rapidly forward, cutting at her. Cut though they might Allania's armour offered her great protection and the thorns upon her chest piece raked across the pincers, leaving gaping wounds on the pincers, pixelated, red and garish.

With her pace what it was Allania quickly reached the scorpions. They had moved a little further away but when she had crested a nearby dunes she was easily able to see where they had wandered off to. Now just 50 meters from the scorpions Allania began to run at them, her dagger raised up in front of her face to protect herself. As she got within range, her presence being known by the scorpions from the sound of her running, they attacks, their tails launching towards her which she deftly deflected with her dagger before attacking kind. Her dagger spun out around her, following the familiar path of her only AoE sword art, slicing into each scorpions carapace.

Allania looked out towards the horizon of the rising sun, as it was only in that direction that she could see anything, the opposite pole being shrouded in darkness. Searching the horizon Allania quickly spotted a group of enemies, a set of scorpions that would become her next target. She looked back at the cave entrance, just in time to see Blaze groggily trot out, "come on Blaze, we have work to do" she said with enthusiasm, motioning in the direction of the Scorpions that were about a mile away.

Now ready Allania set off for the Scorpions, walking at a brisk pace to reach them. It would not be 15 minutes before she reached them, so while she was walking she inspected her armour and weapons. First the pauldron, shining in the dull light, its orange trim shining, then the rose chest piece, the thorns adorning it vicious ripping tools and finally her dagger, it was a simple design but its edge was sharpened to a razor, causing extra damage when used. Satisfied that all was in check Allania with dagger in hand continued her walk.

Allania woke up in the cave. The air was cold and there was little light permeating from the entrance. During the night she seemed to have rolled over and was facing the entrance. Yawning wide Allania crawled forward to check what the situation was like outside. It was still dark, but you could see the hints of the sun on the horizon, an orange glow lighting up the horizon. It would not be long until the sun was fully risen and the blazing heats once again scorched the desert.

Nudging Blaze awake Allania said "come on buddy, time to get up" before letting out yet another yawn and getting to her feet slowly. She almost forgot that the cave was too small for her to stand up in though she luckily remembered,saving her cranium from a hefty hit. Still hunched over Allania brushed the sand from her body and then walked outside the cave. Once outside Allania put her arms over her head and stretched out her back. Time to try and find another dungeon.

When the spear was turned on her Allania stopped for a moment, unsure how to respond to the tip in her face. When Hydra apologised Allania flashed an understanding smile then went to her position at his back. "Trapped?" Allania repeated, she knew that this place had been deemed a labyrinth by the players of the world but she had not realised it would be so subtle. Seeing his signal to move Allania followed his direction, whispering to him "take the lead, I'll keep our back guarded", still looking around for any and all enemies that could be approaching her. It was an eerie place this forest, especially at night time. This is why I wanted to come here during the day, she thought.

Her mind made up to sleep here she began to lower her aching body to the ground. Finally lying down she let out a sigh of relief, the tension in her back releasing in a dull ache that subsided quickly, the tension disappearing as it no longer needed to support the weight of her body. Allania rolled on to one side, facing away from the cave entrance so as to protect herself more from the harsh winds that would come with the night. Blaze curled up within her limbs, acting like a hot water bottle through the night. Providing her warmth much like the object of its name, keeping her warm through the chilling night.

With a deep breath Allania slowed made herself stand up. It was getting close to night time so she needed to find somewhere to sleep. She would not have the time to get to a safe zone so would have to camp it out in the desert once again. Hobbling her way through the dunes Allania quickly came across a small cave, ducking her head to get inside Allania had to crouch down while inside. Seeing nothing of danger within Allania decided she'd camp here for the night. It was a good spot, most of the mobs here were giant and thus would be unable to enter the cave.

Allania walked up the dune to Blaze, opening her menu and putting back on her dress. It was comforting with the dress on, reminding her of where she had come from. It was her first craft in this world, her first item made by her own hand. With the luck instilled in her Allania sat down beside Blaze and idly stroked at his head. It was a soft stroke, her fingers gently playing behind his ears, "That was a long fight" she said with a sigh, looking off towards the horizon, the sun getting low in the sky.

Tick. Finally enough energy, Allania thought, her body tired. Stepping forward Allania activated her only AoE sword art, her dagger circling round her and slicing deep into the crabs. As she sliced their returned her attack by snapping at her with their pincers. She was caugh, barely able to move, but that would not prevent her dagger from its slice, finishing off the crabs. A combination of the thorns and her dagger slicing into the creatures. They exploded, the pixel fragments hanging in the air. Allania collected the materials dropped and moved on.

They continued to squeeze down upon her, slowly crushing her. The thorns on her armour activated though, boring deep holes into the shells of the crab. With such deep wounds pierced into their shells the crabs recoiled backwards. As they backed away slightly, pulling Allania along with her their grip on her loosened, it became loose enough for her to just slip through, escaping their grasp. Now free from their claws Allania sent her energy gauge a quick look, noting that she should be able to attack soon.

The path that was seemingly random before quickly came predictable to the Crabs, they had observed her for just a short while before going on the assault again. With her movement sluggish Allania was easily hit by the Crabs, their pincers attempting to slice into her. As they slowly crushed her she let out a little gasp of pain, her health slowly lowering yet her energy too low to attack still.

Depleted, once again. No energy so no attack. Even though she could not attack Allania would not remain still for them to attack her, running about in a haphazard path, unpredictable to the crabs attacking her. Due to the path she took the crabs were unable to land a blow, their pincers clamping shut metres away from her, all that she felt from them were the gusts of air they sent out, the currents wafting a cool breeze upon her face.

This time Blaze did not even have the chance to be called over, before she was attacked again. Blaze had retreated back up the hill, watching in worry as Allania was thrown about, hopping about himself in frustration. When they were finally defeated he started to rush back down the dune only to be stopped as another horde of Crabs rose from the sand.

Not a moments respite, Allania thought as the new set of crabs rose up. With a tired smile upon her face she charged, her dagger sluggishly spinning around her, cutting into the critters as they continued to rise from the sand. While she cut them they retaliated in kind, cutting at her with their larger pincers, nipping as her body as they tried to injure her through her armour only to be raked by the thorns of her armour.

As she was being tossed about, her limbs still limp, flopping about with her ever changing momentum, the thorns upon her armour finally took effect, digging in deep to each crab as they tossed her about, deep puncture wounds appearing from where they had caught her. Once by one they finally exploded into millions of fragments the thorns having depleted their health bars. With no one left to catch her Allania landed in the sand, face first. Her body still limp she slowly raised herself to her feet.

 Allania was still not ready to attack, her energy gauge was still at below half what she needed. Tick, Make that half, she thought, I just need to weather these attacks a bit longer. She was not only not ready to attack, she was still not ready to defend, her limbs were still leaden, hanging from her sides, seemingly useless unless she fought the fight on will alone. Unable to defend herself properly the Crabs attacked her in delight, tossing her from pincer to pincer, from crab to crab, her body like a ragdoll as it flew through the air, slowly taking more damage.

She was not able to fend them off for much longer, her movements getting slowly more and more sluggish. Each blow reducing it by a half. Quickly one of them passed her defence, her dagger scraping along the length of the pincer before being sent up into the air, her hand still grasping to it tightly. With her dagger held above her head Allania's main way of avoiding blows was gone, and thus was hit repeatedly by the crabs. Even though she was hit it helped her, snapping her out of her rage fully and back to her senses, with which she knew the best course of action would be to wait until her energy regenerated.

Allania slowed her pace as she noticed Hydra was beginning to flag behind her, unsure what was up she slowed to a halt. Something was clearly wrong, Hydra had a crazed look in his eyes, one that she had not seen before. His hand was upon his spear, his head darting from side to side, as if looking for something. Walking towards him, Allania drew her dagger and held it up in a defensive position, her back to his so thy could see from all angles, her eyes scouring the woods for something amiss. Over her shoulder she whispered to Hydra "What's the matter?".
