  1. Domarus sheathed his blade with a grunt as Arc talked about it being anti climatic.  Better believe it.  That was the most boring thing that had ever happened to him.  Barely any damage done and killed with one strike.  No danger or challenge at all.  Still, Arc seemed satisfied at his progress and he nodded with a grin.

"You didn't think I was going to sit by and watch others get strong did you?  I intend to the the most powerful damage dealer in Aincrad one day and nothing's gonna stop us."  Domarus used the word us rather than me to incline something.  Partnership.  The more he thought about it the more he liked the idea.  If Arc accepted that is.  Mercs looking out for each other, helping each other to grow stronger.  Not only would they both progress quickly but it would give Domarus more opportunity to have Arc's help as well as give him more opportunity to learn more about Arc and plan how to sway him over.  Until then they could be known as the strongest mercenaries in Aincrad.  After Domarus gained power and had Arc as a general things would be different of course but Arc would essentially have the freedom to do what he wanted.  He wasn't one to have an iron grip over others after all.

"Yeah I'd like to get that armor.  I'd hate to have to depend on others all the time.  Teaming up for strong quests is understandable but for mob grinding?  Come on."  And with that the two turned around and began walking back to the blacksmith.  As soon as he had his armor he would begin his level grinding and he would not stop until he was powerful and rich.  Never in a million years would he give up.  With his level grinding he hoped to achieve decent amount of col.  He turned to Arc.

"You have any plans besides becoming strong?"

  2. Domarus shook her hand, recalling that Adhae had given him a nickname and while he liked the original name Domarus as it was his own transformed way of saying domination, he was fine with players doing so as it made him seem even more friendly.  As usual the girl always wore a smile on her face and once again he wondered if she really was just that friendly or if she was a manipulator like himself.  As he shook her hand he heard the others name the cloaked figure.  Itzal?  So this was the scout he was told about.  Interesting.  His outfit certainly spoke that fact about him.  Within the flash of a second he sized the man up and decided that he was born for the role.  His small stature would certainly suit him well for this.  He smiled to Adhae as he shook her hand.

"I'm doing well enough.  Recently got my own weapon at last so I can deal decent damage.  Oh this is Keres.  She doesn't talk that much and she told me she wants to help me in any way she can."  There.  Now she'd have no choice but to refrain from speaking unsavory or inappropriate comments while in these four player's midst.  Not only that but he just gave an excuse to her assistance.  She had a bad habit of doing all she could to embarrass others and talk back in a sarcastic manner.  He turned to Beatbox who seemed suspicious of Domarus at first glance.  So he was one of those people eh?  Domarus wasn't worried.  He was a master of deception and would befriend this player soon enough.  He smiled widely to the player.

"The name's Domarus!  Nice to meet you!"  He didn't ask for the player's name as he would either tell Domarus himself or one of the other players would speak to him by name.  Either way he'd learn his name.  After that all he needed to do was learn more about these four and get onto their good side.  That was how manipulation started.  Draw the targets in close, learn everything about them, then slowly work towards changing their views and such, until they had no problem becoming his followers.  That's what he intended to do with Alisa but she was a more delicate matter.  She was weak and cowardice, but she also had an anger issue.  He needed to fix her before she could follow him.  He needed to help her be reborn.

  3. Domarus thought about what Arc had just said.  He figured that he'd go along with his new friend's pricing methods and set up flyers so he could start as soon as he had stronger equipment.  Once he became an Artisan he didn't need to worry about purchasing anything in that area.  All he'd need to do was get this armor, collect a few more materials, buy better armor and craft himself a suitable ring and he'd be all set.  The combination of mob grinding, quest completing, shop sales and being a mercenary should get him plenty of col.  However if even that didn't help him reach the required amount in time he would need to manipulate others to lend him enough to get the rest before it came out.  Then Arc told him that he was open to teach him with the longsword whenever he was ready and he nodded in response.

"After I grandmaster my ax skills you'll be the first to know."  He turned into the grove they had just entered and saw the Dark elf.  He stood in the middle of the grove, his back to the players with a sword at his side.  The dark elf didn't seem to have much strong armor whatsoever, rather wore robes that made him look more important than he actually was.  As they approached the elf heard them and turned around, his eyes narrowing.

"And for what reason do you peasants intrude in my grove?"  Domarus turned to Arc with a look that blatantly said 'you're kidding me?'  Domarus didn't waste words and charged the unsuspecting Dark elf.  As he charged, his black blade began to pulse with not only the dark red glow of his blade, but was now covered in a black aura as he charged his sword art.  While the npc was shocked that someone would just rush up and attempt an assassination like this, he was prepared and pulled his sword out and held it out like a spear.  Brave but foolish Domarus thought.  While his body moved into the blade, receiving minimal damage, he released the sword art, striking sideways and the twelve point of damage attack, plus the shockwave that followed, created a small explosion, the tiny crystals being thrown incredibly far.  After the attack Domarus looked around and turned to Arc all bored like.

    "Is that it?"

  4. @Kasier as promised here's the thread

Domarus walked down the darkened streets of the town of beginnings.  The moon and stars were blocked by storm clouds and with all the darkness and gloom he was the only player out and about.  Keres was asleep in the room he had weaseled his way into renting for free.  With his servant not around he believed it might be time to try the starry eyed illusion potion...  Maybe.  He still wasn't sure it was time yet and honestly he was mainly out here to train, whether it be fighting the weakest mobs or gathering materials he could use to sell items at his shop once he opened.  Of course he'd have to do the quest first but no harm in preparing.  Oh ho, far from that.  Domarus was the only one he knew of who truly set plans.  He made a goal and set multiple sets of plans for it, and plans in case those plans failed.  He had an idea for how he wanted to go about his shop but it's overall purpose was only to get his hands on as much col as he could for something...  Special...  A way for him to rise in strength and power, far higher than any other player could ever hope to reach.  His black two handed battle ax hung on his back, it's blade pulsing a dark red glow through the night.  He didn't bother looking at the many buildings or npcs.  If he spotted a player he'd smile and wave to keep up the pretense of being their knight in shining armor.  The players were beginning to think he was too.  He hadn't given them any signs as to otherwise.  As he drew closer to the city gate he wondered what fools would fall into his path tonight.

  5. Domarus approached the café with swift steps and footing.  He had heard about familiars and how they took some time to find, but he also heard that they required food if you wished to tame them.  He heard rumor of a resilient creature in the desert on floor five that others claimed impossible to tame.  He figured that he would be the one to do it.  He figured this familiar probably respected strength and persistence and from what he heard these players who had attempted to tame the beast before hand were weak not in level, but in spirit and gave up easily.  It would not be so with Domarus.  He would find this familiar and make it bow to him, whether he had to do so by force or otherwise.  First however he needed three things.  He needed an object that would amplify his searching skills, a song that he heard about that would draw the familiar to him, and of course food for the familiar to eat.  Before he stepped into the shop he switched to his 'knight in shining armor' appearance and with a broad smile walked up to the counter.

"Hey there!  I was hoping I could pick up a food item for when I go searching for a familiar.  I'll take whatever you recommend!"  He placed the fifty col on the counter, awaiting the man to give him the food so he could be on his way.

  6. Domarus listened to her explanation and nodded, accepting the fact as it was her choice.  She noticed his dark expression and tugged on his sleeve.  He realized what she saw and shook his head embarrassingly.

"Ah, sorry.  I may be able to take a lot, but perverts who use methods such as that are disgusting and revolting.  Persuading one to do something is one thing, but to trick an innocent girl into drinking a potion that forces her to...  Well it's perverted in every way."  He saw the look of caution and concern in her eyes and sighed, realizing that she would never look at him the same way again.  Was this the punishment he would endure with anyone he revealed the truth to?  Perhaps he should stick with revealing nothing and just appearing like the knight in shining armor for manipulation purposes after all.  If Esther couldn't stand the thought then who would?  Behind him Keres noticed Esther look at her and she winked with a mischievous grin.  Keres loved making other's uncomfortable and she decided to take the opportunity.

"Did you have any fun with the man?" she cooed.

"Keres!"  Domarus growled and the woman fell silent with a satisfied smirk.  Domarus sighed.  This sort of stuff didn't make him uncomfortable.  But he didn't want Esther to be more uncomfortable being around him than she already was and his servant wasn't exactly doing anything to help him.  He'd need to talk to her about this later.  Most likely Keres would have to be separated with him while with Esther.  This was getting way out of hand and he was fearful of losing Esther.  He saw her rush over to the cliff and pull something out but ended up dropping it, shattering the material.  He shrugged.

"Hey you actually found something.  Better than I could have done,"  he finished with a chuckle, attempting to lighten the situation a little.  He scanned the area and thought he saw an ore sticking out himself.  He walked over but when he tried to pull it out it budged and then stopped.  Confused he was about to try again when a large rock fell on his head.  It didn't hurt of course but it was a bit frustrating.  Still he breathed in and out before allowing a grin.

    "I've got the worst luck."

    @Esther

  7. Domarus listened as she talked about how it didn't really matter what materials he selected, which sort of contradicted to what she had explained last time about needing particular materials.  He was certain there would be supplies that were suitable to craft with and others that wouldn't be.  And yet he decided to trust her.  Then she talked about a time she gathered materials with another player named Lycan.  Interesting name he thought.  Then his face grew dark as she explained the embarrassing event that she had fallen into with her easy trust.  Pervert.  The beast manipulated her into drinking what he had without even thinking about what the effects would be.

"Remember what I said about how you seem to be easily manipulated?  That's what I mean.  At least try to exercise some level of caution please?  What if someone got a hold of Mari's not so friendly potions and tried to get you to drink them?  What if they made a worse potion?  I always suspect others of treachery in the beginning.  That's one of the reasons I've made it this high.  I'm not saying you can't trust people, but don't trust everyone right off the bat.  Let them reveal their intentions first."  He watched her pick up what seemed like an ore and give it to him.  He took the object and examined it carefully.  Hmm.  It seemed to be a precious material, like silver and gold, except it was...  Almost black.  The black material was beautiful and yet dark in it's own way and he grinned.  This would be a perfect trademark for him.  He and all his followers could have black rings made of this material.  He stored it in his inventory and thanked Esther before listening to her interests.  That's right she liked to stargaze.  From what it sounded like, she would make an excellent scout at some point.  He wasn't a master at it himself but maybe he could find Esther someone who wouldn't mind giving her some pointers some time along the way.  If she could scout out maps and such, gathering materials then she could very well gain something to do besides fighting or owning a shop.  He was certain Esther would get along alright.  They arrived at the cliff side but upon first glance it seemed to be bare.

OOC- @EstherI was told about a player named Itzal who is evidently shooting for a scout like build if you want Esther to interact with him

  8. Domarus sighed with relief as he heard Esther's response.  So it wasn't the worst happening right now.  He managed to defuse the situation and keep her as a friend a little longer.  His muscles relaxed, no longer tensed as she told him she didn't want to hear his past right now.  Good.  That was the last thing he wanted to do after this.  He almost never exposed any of his secrets, let alone multiple in one day.  This was a tiring one for both of them.  Maybe this friendship would actually last.  And with this new friend he had no intentions of harming in any way.  Rather the opposite in fact.  When she told him not now he released the tense air he had held.

"Thank you Esther.  Believe it or not this may be as hard for me as it is for you.  And yes I'd like to get my mind off of this as soon as possible...  So if what you said is true would a mountain like area be good for material gathering?"  As they began to walk to a new location, Keres walking behind them, keeping her servant like posture, Domarus turned curiously to Esther.

"Sooo...  What do you do for fun?"  For once in his life Domarus wasn't sure how to start the conversation.  The situation was uncomfortable for both of them and he was never uncomfortable.  He'd need to create a few backups in case this feeing ever arose again.  Domarus was always one to be prepared for any situation but being the arrogant man he was he forgot that this sort of thing might happen.  Thus he'd need to get started on that when he had some time to himself.  And while he knew about Esther's personality he knew nothing about her in general.  So in a sort of 'fair is fair' he decided to start asking about her and get as far away from him in the topic's as possible.

  9. With the boar's health past the halfway section the monster became very vicious and hateful at Doomarus.  The creature attempted to charge recklessly at him and Domarus saw the flaw in this tactic.  He sighed as this was growing tiring.  This pathetic creature wouldn't give up and it was growing stupider by the second.  Domarus dodged the boar effortlessly, striking it on it's rear with the butt of his weapon, aggravating it further and blinding it even more.  With each pass he amplified it's anger and rage more and more, clouding it's mind until it was as blind as he wanted it to be.  When that happened it's charge was completely pointless.  As it ran it's legs were unbalanced and the monster teetered this way and that, zig zagging and tilting to the sides, trying to gain more speed than it was physically capable of.  Domarus knew that when someone or something was too anger to focus they could assume they were capable of too much.  Domarus adjusted his ax and when the monster made it's next charge he simply swung it at the monster's feet, cutting them and forcing the monster to trip.  Everything fell into place precisely as he planned.  The monster tripped and rolled directly into a large oak tree, where after colliding into it with all the built up force and power it was prepping to that point, a branch broke off and fell on the now dazed boar.  Domarus tsked and began to walk over to it, his weapon dragging behind him to show just how boring this was becoming.

OOC- is there a way to naturally regain energy in combat?

  10. Domarus watched as Alisa jumped back in, seemingly less clouded and more focused on the fight which was a good sign.  She resumed her fence like strikes but once again the boar evaded her and it's attention returned to Domarus.  When Alisa joined his side and tried to give an excuse to her missing, he shook his head.

"Just shut up and pay attention.  Talking does nothing to help in combat."  While he had spoken to her before he had only done so when the boar was knocked away or dazed, and only because she was losing it.  Now that she had regained her senses he needed her to fully focus on the fight.  The boar began to charge and Domarus replied with such.  The two continued their game of chicken but this time the monster didn't turn and run, nor did it allow Domarus to strike it.  When he swung his ax the monster used it's tusks to deflect the attack.  Domarus lost balance and had to use his ax to keep himself from falling.  While he did the monster ran in a circle and managed to graze his back with it's tusks.  Feeling nothing of course all he saw was the health go down and he growled.  He turned around with his ax by his side.  The boar was a good ways away and although it was pleased it had managed to hit the player, it knew that he would not allow it to make that same move again.

"Come back here you rotten pile of pork chops!"  Ok, maybe throwing taunts around was an exception to his rule.  He'd have to talk to Alisa afterwards to make sure there wasn't any miscommunication.  Domarus growled and turned to Alisa, nodding for her to make her move.

  11. Domarus listened to Arc speak and was curious to hear that his skills would be directed more towards fighting multiple foes at once.  Perhaps he could pick up a second skill so he could switch between single target and multiple targets.  That way he could have the best of both.  Of course it would mean giving up another skill but he had twelve slots and he wanted to be completely battle orientated.  And as of right now having a skill to take down multiple foes might be a good start.  He was too weak a level to solo anything anyways so he could deal the overall damage to all monsters.  He grinned at the thought.

"Interesting, interesting.  Perhaps I might pick up a great sword skill after grand mastering the two handed ax.  That way I could use whatever is required for fights.  After all, single target attacks would be better suited for player duels would they not?  Either that or focusing on the boss."  He listened now as Arc complimented on his weapon and he grinned.

"I think I earned half the col for this while another player had given me a good amount to start off.  Honestly from what you've been saying I think I might try selling the armor from this quest and ordering a suit of armor with more enhancements.  Macrodon's discount is a very useful way to gain customers.  Maybe I'll try that.  I don't like the thought of cutting my prices though.  How much does a mercenary get on a daily basis?  I may go that route for a little bit until I have enough col for my own personal goal."  Domarus heard how players would save up col for buying houses, or use it to purchase gear.  However he heard another use of it and was saving up for that purpose alone.  However in order to achieve it he needed to gather hoards of col extremely quickly so that he could reach his target before anyone else.  Any way he could get col.  Fighting monsters, manipulating it out of other's pockets, his shop.  Any way to get col he would need to do so.  It was a necessity and he would reach his goal one way or another.

"Right now of course I'm just trying to train with other player until I get strong enough to solo these mobs like yourself.  Soon as I do though I'll be mob grinding, selling items, and if it's worth it, play mercenary for a bit until I meet the deadline."

  12. As Domarus feared, she had lost total trust in him.  However this was something that couldn't be helped.  She would have found out sooner or later and better to have him openly share this secret than her wandering in and discovering it that way.  He stood there in silence as she spoke to him, looking her in the eyes this time.  He nodded to her as she told him not to do it in public.  Then she showed her obvious distaste and upsetness at him showing her.

"I only showed you for two reasons.  The first being that you told me not to hide anything.  I have been very open to you thus far and as everyone has a weakness, or trait that isn't good, you have seen mine.  I have to vent on something or someone otherwise I can turn ugly.  I used to vent on inanimate objects until she started begging me and while it's a bit uncomfortable it works.  I've never done this in public before and the second reason I showed you is that you would have found out sooner or later.  I would rather show and explain it to you then to have you walk in and judge the situation with your eyes and ears rather than listening to me.  Surely you can understand how the result would be entirely different between those two scenarios?  I promise that this will never be shown again.  But know this Esther.  Nobody can hold emotions in.  Everyone needs a way out.  It's just unfortunate that I'm wired to release it in a more violent manner.  I've tried other ways but nothing seems to work.  If you really want the details on where this trait came from then I'll tell you but only if you really want to know.  It's not something I just tell people.  In fact other than whatever secret this starry eyed potion will reveal to me, that's probably the last secret I have to share with you."  Well Domarus had done it.  He had shared his darkest secret with this innocent girl and had given all his reasons.  If anyone could forgive him for these actions it was Esther.  And if she didn't accept it and was still angry at him then he would know for certain that he was a twisted man and he had to live with it.  He already believed that of course but little Esther had placed her own little seeds of doubts in Domarus' mind.  He didn't realize it just yet but she was influencing him without his knowing, much like how he does so with others when he manipulates them.  However she was doing so in a totally different direction.  Keres bit her lower lip as she had never seen Domarus reveal so much, or speak in such a way to anyone but her.  She was fine with it of course, he needed others, but it was abnormal.

  13. Domarus was afraid of this.  She would never understand.  Understand the frustration, the anger, the..  Pain that built up inside him.  Originally he released all this built up dangerous emotions on inanimate objects but it wasn't enough.  When Raven came to him and told him that she knew who he was and that she wanted to be beaten, even he was hesitant at first.  However the more he did it the more she begged for more, and over time it became a normal thing for him.  She asked for pain and he was able to release his frustrations.  He saw Esther's hurt look and Domarus didn't know how to respond.  However, to his ultimate and complete surprise which he was unable to hide, Keres stepped forward and smiled gently to Esther.

"A few things mistress.  I want this sort of treatment, in fact I begged for it when we met for the first time.  He wasn't willing to until I provoked him.  It's good for him too as he has a lot of things on his mind.  Things happening around him, and more...  Personal feelings and thoughts.  Particularly related to his-"

"Keres," he muttered, not wanting her to go too far.  Esther might go either way now and in case she decided to go against him he didn't want her possessing his own personal history.  Keres bowed slightly to him and turned back to Esther with a gentle smile.

"The point is that much like how your mistress Mari was a bit uncomfortable using your collar, so was Domarus when he first beat me.  However when he saw that I gained pleasure from it, and as he was able to leech out the pain he holds in, it became normal after our years of doing it.  Please don't fear him Esther, he only does this to me because I want too.  At least, me and those who prey and torture on the weak.  He protects us Esther.  He doesn't mean any harm."  Domarus said nothing and didn't look Esther in the eyes.  He was frustrated that Keres had spilled all of these secrets to Esther, but he figured he had no choice.  If she was willing to listen he might even share his real history.  So far Keres was the only one to know.  If not well...  He'd have a long night ahead of him.  If she accepted this he would promise never to do so again in her presence.

  14. Domarus watched now as Alisa ignored his advice and struck at the wolf but missed as she was blinded by now.  Domarus sighed.  At this point they might as well escape while they had the chance.  He needed col yes, but he was depending on her for now as this was a strong mob and he couldn't if she was in this state.  As she neared him he grabbed her and shook her until her focus was on him and he locked eyes with her.

"If you can't focus you can't fight, so either get over it or we run understand?"  He let go and flourished the ax.  The monster was focused on him now so he needed to focus on avoiding getting hit.  The boar scrapped the ground again.  Now that it didn't need to worry about both players it was able to focus on Domarus.  With that knowledge it calmed down and was able to keep it's head.  It saw Domarus charge and did the same.  When he swung his glowing blade at it the monster dodged the attack but was too far away to hit him.  As the monster made another charge Domarus swung his ax at it again, keeping the distance between them big enough to prevent it from striking him again.  Around and around it went and Domarus kept his feet moving so that they did not stiffen from turning in the same spot consistently.  To a more skilled player it might look like they were dancing.  Whenever it grew too close he would spin the blade closer to him and knock it away with the butt of his weapon.  This monster wouldn't get the better of him, and hopefully Alisa would watch how he was able to contain and direct his anger rather than letting it consume him.

  15. Domarus growled and cursed after the eruption from the plant and went so far as to draw his weapon and smash it down on the plant, destroying it and it's other species into shattered crystals.  He sheathed his blade and nodded to Esther.

"Yes lets...  Though if we're going I'll need to call my servant so I guess you'll be meeting her today."  Domarus wasn't sure how this would turn out.  Keres was a loyal servant but she could also be sarcastic, mischievous, rude and was good at making other's uncomfortable with inappropriate comments.  He was sure he told Esther that she enjoyed being punished by him and he tried to tell her that he could be cruel in doing so, but he still wasn't sure if she would be fine with it.

"Don't be afraid of anything I do to Keres Esther.  Remember that she enjoys it and...  She's my only way to vent out my frustrations.  KERES!  GET OVER HERE!"  Domarus waited for his servant to emerge and she did so.  She moved as a servant would but when she saw the girl by his side she grinned mischievously.

"Have you seduced another woman to serve you my Lo-"  Domarus smacked her hard across the face and she collapsed on the ground, her face hidden for a moment but when she turned to look at him Esther could see a smile that revealed her pleasure.  "Talk like that again and it will be far worse."

"I was only complimenting your skills with wo-"  Domarus struck her again with a branch he now carried for such a purpose.  Until he could purchase something better equipped for this he had nothing else.  He struck her until she apologized and she rose to her feet.  Now satisfied with the pleasure she had been granted she resumed her servant like role.  Domarus prayed that Esther would accept this odd relationship and move on.  He turned to her with an apology on his face tell ing her that he was sorry she had to see this.  However she had asked for him to hide nothing and he had promised he would.

  16. OOC- His sword art aura is black, the red glow pulses from the blade itself, as that's how it was crafted

As Domarus walked over the boar sized him up.  Realizing that he wasn't as dangerous as it first thought as he was a low level.  If Domarus had been wearing armor then it might have been worried but if it managed to hit him enough times then it wouldn't matter what Domarus did.  The boar would win in the end.  Knowing this it decided to use a new tactic entirely.  The boar charged Domarus and his brow furrowed as he saw this new approach.  His leisurely walk became more cautious and tense, but his ax rested in his fingers rather loosely so that he could make quick movement in an instant.  As the ground closed Domarus began to run at the mob but it showed no fear and he figured out it's intention at the last minute.  However he wasn't worried.  He had enough health to make one risk in this fight.  The monster leaped at him and slashed it's tusks at his torso and he watched his health go down, two extra points due to a critical hit, and slashed his weapon with a black aura mixed with his blade's red one, using the last of his energy to bring it's health down a good amount.  Without the next set of gear he doubted he'd be able to take on any monster by himself.  And thus he was forced to rely on other players...  For now that is.

  17. Domarus watched Alisa seek for a weak point but was unable to land more than a scratch on it.  He saw that her frustration was building and knew that she definitely had untapped potential.  However as she landed at his side he could feel that it was untamed, wild power that could be potentially dangerous.  If not taught how to channel it like he did, she could harm herself and those she did not mean to harm, or Domarus in this situation.  While the boar was recovering he said to her,

"I love the anger you have in you.  It can give you much power and strength if handled properly.  However, if for the moment, try to keep it to a minimum so we can both survive this k?  I'll show you how anger is meant to be used."  Domarus flexed his shoulders and gripped his ax, waiting for the boar to strike out at her.  However he saw it's hesitation as it looked at the both of them and decided to start the charge this round.  The boar saw him coming and recalled how a game of chicken would not work.  This time it intended to follow him so as not to miss.  Domarus charged with his two handed ax by his side, his red eyes burning into the boar's own as he shook the ground with the force of his thrusts. The boar had no such effect as it was the weakest of all monsters and it's courage dwindled as well as it's focus.  Finally when it reached the deciding moment, Domarus launched the butt of his weapon into the ground, forcing him into the air, and allowed the ax to spin in his hands, striking the boar's backside once again and retrieving another squeal.  The monster turned around and stomped it's feet in frustration and anger.  This weakling was playing with it and winning.  It would not stand for this torment and humiliation it thought.  Domarus simply landed and with a flourish of his ax, buried it in the ground and smirked at the creature.

  18. Domarus listened to Esther ask for a discount and felt like that was going to come up sooner or later.  He was about to agree to her terms for a ten or twenty percent discount when she told him not to worry about it that she would pay it normally.  He was going to insist that he accept her request but decided not to.  Not only did he need the col but it could become a little project or goal for her to work toward.  A reason for her to collect col.  Then again he could make a deal with her.  He grinned at Esther.

"I'll give you a twenty percent discount if you'll promise that I'll be your personal Artisan ok?"  He wondered how everything would work out.  He wanted to get the best business so he figured that would be somewhere in the first floor, maybe at a crossroad or something, between the gate and the warping station.  That way it would be in view to everyone either living in the town or others visiting, or even players visiting the town to help lowlies, grind mobs or help out with a quest.  The first floor seemed to be the most popular floor so it only made sense.  Once he did that he'd need to come up with a decent name for his shop, as well as a decent look.  He'd have a room filled with beds so he could bed players without a home or shop of their own, thus bringing his reputation up greatly.  He'd have a separate room for either crafting or placing tattoos on players, a chest to store his stacked inventory, and of course the hidden room underground to hold meetings with his future followers.  With the shop he'd save up col and.  Well, become more powerful hopefully but it was actually a gamble.  He watched as Esther failed to collect a flower and tried looking for anything he could use.  He thought he spotted a decent flower but when he bent down to see it he noticed it hadn't fully bloomed yet.  He wondered if that made it an item that couldn't be taken.  He touched it gently and the pedals opened up suddenly and sprayed a disgusting cloud like smell at him, causing him to cough and wave the smell away.

  19. Domarus listened to Esther as she replied and gave a soft laugh as she showed how stubborn she was.  Good good.  She wasn't one to back down.  He was less fearful than he was before.  At least her own personal beliefs could not be shaken.  That was always a good sign.  Even if he wanted to manipulate her it was good.  He was a master and could eventually, over time, change her mind and once he had done so she would stick with it no matter what.  However he had no intention of changing the girl.  Then she moved his arm off of her and was wondering if she didn't enjoy that sort of thing after all when she held onto his hand with a soft squeeze.  She thanked him for understanding and that she wouldn't mind taking it off though it seemed tiresome for her to do it.

"If you enjoy it you don't have to take it off.  Although if you ever did you realize you could simply pull up the menu and make it vanish rather than take it off physically right?  And thank you Esther."  She seemed to get excited when he said he was becoming an artisan and she pulled out a canvas.  He examined the painting and admitted that it was very well done.  She told him that it helped her find things and nodded as he understood it was a buff item.  He turned to her as he handed it back and listened as she said she wanted a tattoo but was unsure of what.  Then she made him promise that he would help her decide and give it to her and he chuckled.

"Very well, but you'll need to pay col.  I can't give away anything for free unfortunately.  I need it that badly.  Let's get searching."  He rose to his feet and wondered how far his servant had wandered.  Probably not very far but that was yet to be seen.  Domarus walked along the fields and scanned for suitable flowers but when he reached for one it turned to ash as he approached.

"The very flowers hate me.  Not that I didn't expect that," he chuckled.

  20. Domarus listened as Arc seemed satisfied with his choice and complimented him on being serious with his armor.  He then reminded Domarus that this armor would be starter armor and Domarus nodded, already knowing this.  It wasn't going to be maxed out armor but if the monsters on this floor only dealt ten damage than he wouldn't have a problem so long as he remained on this floor.  Except maybe the mini bosses of course.  That would always be a problem.  He heard Arc mention that he only had to worry about AoE attacks if he wasn't going tank.  AoE huh?  That was widespread damage, done to multiple targets.  He noticed that his sword arts were either single strike or AoE strikes.  His strongest sword art seemed to be an AoE attack so he'd need to take that into account.

"Got it.  Thanks.  Is a two handed battle ax the greatest damage dealing weapon in this game or is it second best?  I assumed it would be the strongest and I still hope it is."  Arc told him that they were getting pretty close and that he would be in front.  Domarus nodded as it only made sense.  Arc would tank and he would strike.  Domarus pulled out Vindicem, his black two handed battle ax that pulsed a dark red glow from the blade, cruelly shaped and seeming to be eager to destroy all in it's path.  The ax held a sort of power to it, as if just holding it filled him up with a supreme and supernatural strength that no other weapon could.  He was eager to purchase a set of armor that matched it's cruelty and intimidation.  A black set that pulsed dark red of it's own accord too.  After that he would most likely be an Artisan and be able to make his own equipment with boosts.  Most likely accuracy boosts as he didn't really have need of anything else.  Not only that but he could create thousands of pieces as well as give others tattoos in order to rack up col which he needed desperately.  Perhaps he should act as a mercenary for a temporary time just for the sake of gathering col.  He wasn't sure if it was the best move for his reputation but it might work.  At last resort he might have to ask a powerful player if he could borrow some col.  He didn't want to stoop so low but if he had no other choice he would do so.

  21. Domarus listened as Esther told him that everyone manipulates others to their will in some manner or another.  What an odd girl this was.  He supposed she was right to a point, but not to the extent he went to.  Still there seemed to be nothing to change that.  He never looked at it her way and it would be an interesting new perspective to try observing.  He nodded to her point.  Then he saw her struggle to explain the collar.  She really wanted to defend it didn't she?  Then she asked if he would be telling her this if it was his collar on her with a pout like face.  He sighed and was silent for a moment.

"Esther first of all, I wouldn't suggest the collar in the first place, not even to get you to leave like that Mari.  I don't actually try to push anyone away as it messes up my plans.  If you truly enjoy the collar that's perfectly fine I suppose.  It just...  Believe it or not I actually know what it's like to be without power.  It's a cold world.  Cruel and twisted, having to depend on others at every turn.  But when I rose in power I didn't need anyone.  While you aren't exactly like that Esther, as you have a profession and a place to live, skills that allow you to get by, and while I respect your decisions, that collar brings back the memories of slavery to me.  The slavery of dependency..  However I can see what you mean to some extent.  I suppose I could overlook the downfall if you say there is none.  I have heard of people wearing collars in the real world as a fashion statement though I find it ridiculous."  He made another sigh as he allowed his tensed muscles from the conversation relax.  This might be as hard for him as it was for her, except that he wasn't embarrassed.  Still he had just promised her that he would overlook his view on collars for her so that was what he would do.  From here on out he would not point it, or it's representation out unless she desired him to.  It was her decision and if she enjoyed it that was her choice not his.  People were entitled to their own opinions.  Come to think of it actually, this wasn't nearly as strange as Keres' wishes.  He decided to trail onto a more comfortable topic for Esther.

"And yes I want to become an Artisan.  I can make lots of things that others will buy for col as I need it desperately.  I intend on giving other players tattoos as well.  Figured it would be a good thing in this world."

  22. OOC- luck isn't on my side tonight

Domarus could practically feel the boar as it tried to hit him head on.  He opened his eyes and swung the blade at the boar but it was noticing a pattern and had jumped over the ax blade.  The boar managed to see a split second of shock, glee filling it's face, before it found itself in Domarus' hand.  Seeing the action he reacted swiftly by letting his left hand go of the ax, which buried into the soft grass, and held it out to grab the boar's face as it flew through the air, bending his arm a bit so as to cushion the effect.  There was a moment of stillness and quiet and the boar looked around for a moment, helplessness filling it's being.  It seemed to whimper and look at Domarus asking, pleading for mercy.  Domarus simply grinned wickedly as his eyes showed the boar that it would receive no such thing.  With one strong movement he shoved the boar halfway across the battlefield, drawing attention of other boar.  They didn't enter the fight, but rather wanted to see this new player in action.  Domarus pulled the black ax from it's stand and walked over leisurely, the black blade pulsing with a dark red aura that it had been crafted with.  He would not be made a fool.  Especially in front of other players.  He would not back down, not now not ever.  He would conquer.  He would destroy.  And he would rise to the top with such power that only an idiot would oppose him.  And he was about to show this boar and it's friends exactly what that meant for them.

  23. Domarus turned to her as she told him she was actually very lucky and that she was very lucky to have met him.  Now that was something he'd never believed to hear in his lifetime.  Nobody would ever think themselves lucky to run into him.  Well, anyone besides Keres of course, but she was a strange woman.  Why oh why could Esther not get the picture that he manipulated others for his own uses and purpose for a living?  Why could she not see that?  Well she'd see it one way or another.  Perhaps he would have her watch the effects of his breaking Alisa and show her how he repaired the damage in order to make her strong.  She would probably think that he never meant to do her any harm in the end but it was important if she wanted to be with him to know what he was capable of.  However he also wanted her to stay the way she was and he was afraid the event would change her.

"Well I.  I'm not sure how to respond to that one.  You realize that I manipulate others to get what I want correct?"  He listened as she described why she enjoyed wearing the collar and it was his turn for his brow to furrow.  Comfort?  Protection?  Closeness?  She didn't need a collar for any of these.  Especially now that Domarus was her friend.  He could easily replace all three of those.  He would soon become powerful enough to protect her with ease.  He had already comforted her in her distress.  And he was willing to provide closeness if she wished.  And he wouldn't have the same drawbacks as the collar.

"You know you don't need that collar to have those things right?  And a collar is a symbol of enslavement.  I shudder at the thought of having no power and while you say you do, that collar continues to scream at me otherwise.  If you truly enjoy it I'll leave the matter be."  He placed his arm around her.

"But a collar cannot feel.  Remember that."

  24. Domarus listened as Esther seemed extremely surprised that he wanted her for her company rather than her use.  To be honest he was surprised as well.  Never before had he requested company from anyone.  Even though Keres was his only friend even she had uses that he required of her.  It was his own special trait.  To find other's usefulness and turn it to his will and purpose.  And yet...  This girl had somehow gave him a craving.  The desire to be with someone who actually cared for his purposes not because she was dark, not because he manipulated her, not because she enjoyed pain or being in a submissive position, but because she genuinely cared about him and was willing to hear him out.  Somehow he couldn't let that go.  Then he heard her talk about Arc and his eyebrows shot up in surprise.

"Oh so you've met Arc as well?  I wouldn't worry about it too much.  He seemed to only like me because of my style of fighting.  If I hadn't seemed so vicious in battle he probably wouldn't have any interest in me.  It won't stop me from turning him into my own personal general in the end of course, but that will take time.  It seems you've had worse luck than I've had.  But don't worry, you've got me now.  I'll never let this go."  He listened as she talked about how she was growing better with healing potions and he knew she'd be the exact opposite of Mari.  However if he requested it he was certain that she would make anything for him.  Perhaps in the future she could make potions that manipulated the mind as well.  Just not so dark of course.  His mind went back to the murderous intent potion and listened as she talked about how Mari was cold to Esther after that night.  He sighed.  Of course she was.

"It isn't your fault Esther.  She thinks I'm manipulating you into something horrifying and that fear drives her to hate me.  She thinks your too naive and stupid to really look out for yourself and while I think you could us a lesson or two on how to avoid being manipulated by others, it's not my place.  And I have no grudge against you in any way.  It was the potion Esther, not you.  Unlike the starry eyed illusion it did not take any intention from you, but rather forced you to feel the desire.  Worst thing Mari could make."  The last few words directed at Mari were spit out like poison.  He respected Mari as well as her strength and cruelty, but this was beyond words.  She lost most of his respect for it.  He listened as Esther talked to him about how she had no idea where to go with Mari.  To this he sighed.

"All I'm good at is manipulation Esther.  I need more information on her and her deeds before I can help you with anything.  That's how this game of ours works.  You can't help someone if you know nothing about them.  Once you have details, if you want them changed, you form a plan, and plans to back those up.  All of this to change them into what you think would benefit them, or vice versa."
