  1. Domarus, Keres and Aereth were chatting as the two hooded players finally started to wake up again. The sun was rising and the two figures seemed not to like the fact that the sun shone directly into their eyes. As the bartender then finally began to draw his sword, the two figures seemed to realize what was going on. Then seemingly everything happened at the same time. The bartender slashed at the two figures, Keres began to scream like crazy shortly followed by the sound of bursting polygons. Before Aereth and Domarus could do anything the bartender slashed at Domarus who then stumbled into Aereth, which resulted in both of them hitting the ground. "Wha-... Such a motherf*cker! Are you ok Domarus?" He yelled as he got up and fetched a healing potion out of his inventory. "Take this. I'll go after him to catch him, since I'm faster than you. Take care of Keres and then come after me." He then turned around and dashed into the forest to chase him.

After a few minutes of searching at least Domarus was able to catch up to him. Aereth was standing on a big tree branch as he noticed Domarus. "Sorry my friend. I 'lost' him. How do you want to continue now?" Domarus gave Aereth a look that said 'Can we speak freely here?' and Aereth nodded. While Domarus was catching up to him, he had already scouted ahead to make sure nobody was in this part of the forest.

  2. As Jonathan talked about how Kayaba overdid it with the blocking capabilities of these f*cking skeleton, Aereth had to chuckle. "You are god damned right my friend. But at least one of them is dead, and the second is under half health, so this one will also soon be dead. And after that, I'll invite you for a drink in the town."

Then he focused back on the battlefield. The warrior was again charging at Jonathan. "Leave it to me." he said and dashed forward to intercept the skeleton. He blocked one swing of the skeleton warrior wit his sword, and tackled it away from his friend. As it was stumbling back, Aereth jumped, and with a spinning kick once agian severed the head from the shoulders of the skeleton. Now that the skeleton wasn't able to see Aereth, he attacked with a diagonal slash, and retreated back to his blonde fellow.

  3. As the wolves burst into tiny little polygons Aereth heard more wolves around him. "It's always the same. Kill the first wave, and then a second one spawns and is pissed..." He sighed and readied himself for the incoming attacks. This time however the wolves did not attack immediately. For some moments there was total silence in the forest. Even the background music seemed to reduce its volume. Then they attacked simultaneously out of four different directions. Aereth jumped and the wolves crashed into each other. While he was still in the air he charged his area of effect sword art and released it as he came crashing down on them. Again the wolves stood no chance against him, and disappeared into tiny little polygons.

After that everything seemed to be normal again. The background music turned up again and the forest seemed to get livelier again. "Thank goddess" he thought.

  4. Aereth was slowly but steady building up hate from the skeleton warrior. He first noticed it when he punched the warrior to create space between them, and the warrior just started to chase him again. Just as the skeleton got into damage range Jonathan saved Aereth's a** with a howl. "Thanks buddy. This attack wouldn't have ended well for me." he told his friend.

Now Jonathan had the full attention of the skeleton warrior again. It charged and swiped at him, but Jonathan had no problems in dodging the incoming hit. As the NPC started to stumble again, Aereth dashed towards it, with the intent of hitting it, but unfortunately the skeleton warrior was able to regain his balance and blocked the swipe with its own sword. Cursing Aereth quickly retreated back to Jonathan's side. "Yes, we won't loose to this skeleton." "He must also be running out of energy after some hits, hopefully we are able to defeat it before this happens..."

  5. Aereth was lost in thoughts about his shop as he crossed the bridge that led to the barn yard, and didn't think much about, where he would be going. He would have to build it a little bit outside of the main settlement, so that the shop wouldn't be too easy to find. It would be a small cottage somewhere in the middle of nothing. But also not too much in the 'nothing' since he also needed to make money somehow.

After a few minutes of walking he noticed that he had gotten the attention of a couple of wolves, that were spawning in the area. He sighed yet again and unsheathed his sword from his back. Right now he wasn't able to see the wolves, but he would be ready when they chose to attack.

One second later thy stormed at him but had no chance against his speed and area of effect sword art.

  6. After he finished his sandwich some minutes ago, he decided to continue his search for materials. You never had enough from these after all. He his way down the tree and wanted to leave the barn for now. There weren't any NPC animals or materials left for now, so he went out of the gate, deeper into the forest.

Even though he had spent so much time at floor one, he still didn't know every part of the forest. It was just a so f*cking huge floor. He sighed and started to thing about his future store again. He liked the thought of having a store on floor four more with each second, so he decided that he would open his store in the winter wonderland. He also would need to get enough crafts and experience since one of his guildmates stated that he would like to buy some stuff from him when he would open the store.

  7. If this guild really did harm weaker players, then also Aereth would have to take action on them in some time. On the day he lost Adrian he swore to become stronger and that he would never ever again let a weaker player die or suffer by the hands of a stronger one if he could somehow avoid it. He clenched his teeth. Maybe they were even working together with the Laughing Coffin, which would make things even more difficult than they were right now. Oh how he hated these f*cking PKers.

He took some deep breaths, in order to calm himself down again. Sometimes his stored hate seemed to get the better of him. Aereth was very proud that he was able to gain control over his hate, so he hated it when the hate started to emerge without his own will. With one last bite, he finished his sandwich and looked around if he could spot any materials. Unfortunately he couldn't find anything.

  8. Sitting on his tree, Aereth could see everything that was happening around the yard with no problems. He had decimated the animals down there quite a bit on his hunt for materials. He took a bite off from his sandwich and was wondering how the bartender from back in the day was doing right now. Domarus and Aereth had told him to stay low if he wanted to survive as a red player, so they hadn't heard anything from or about him in quite some time. If worse came to worse, Aereth would have to start to search for him at some point of time. But for now they didn't need anything from him, so he could stay in the underground for now. They also didn't take action on the possible hideout of the shady guild the three of them were. Right now they also needed to stay low and gather more information about everything. With a sigh he took another bite.

  9. Jonathand also was finally able to get a decent hit on the skeleton warrior again. But that hit came with a price. As Jonathan retreated to Aereth's side, the skeleton's sword was sticking in Jonathan's chest, and the damage markers shone in a bright red all over his chest. He then pulled it out and told Aereth to continue distracting it. "Yeah, I'll do my best to keep it occupied with me. When you see an opening just go for it." he told his friend in golden armor.

Then Arereth charged again at the skeleton warrior and engaged it in close combat. Aereth managed to block, parry and dodge every hit with his sword and superior speed, but again wasn't able to get a hit on it. He sighed and used his free hand to punch the skeleton warrior into his face to generate some distance between him and the enemy NPC

  10. This time he made sure there were no enemies left before he sheathed his sword again. He opened his inventory to check out how much materials he was able to gather in this short amount time. It was about lunch time and Aereth had already gathered 20 f*cking materials. "Hell yes. Today is a good day." He thought and made his way to the highest tree in the barn yard.

Swiftly climbing the tree, by jumping from one branch to the other, he unequipped his sword and rested himself at the highest branch. "Time to eat. Let me see what I have in stock today." He thought and chuckled, because he already knew what he would be eating today. Sandwich. But today it was a special chicken sandwich from the cook Itzal told him about. Aereth fetched it out of his inventory and started to eat. "Mmmmhm that tastes awesome." he exclaimed happily.

  11. As Aereth was about to sheath his sword again, he heard loud noises from the back of the farm. As he turned around he found another four pigs charging at him. "It seems like I slayed their friends.." he thought, and got into his battle stance. This time however he didn't want to destroy them right away. Now he wanted to test his dodging skill and his speed. He could see the where the pigs were coming from and calculated the best possible way out of this tricky situation. First pig, right step, second pig rolling back, third pig, a step forward, and last pig jump. The plan was set up, so he just had to realize it. He dodged the pigs with no problems at all and charged his <<Vertical Square>> sword art. In the blink of an eye all pigs were gone, and their loot got transferred to Aereth's inventory.

  12. Jonathan again tried his best to hit the warrior. He charged forward and engaged the skeleton warrior into close combat. They traded blow after blow but the warrior somehow was able to block every hit from Jonathan.

As he backed away from the skeleton he told Aereth to do something to knock him off balance. Giving a firm nod, Aereth charged towards the skeleton warrior once again. The NPC didn't have enough time to react as Aereth reached it and cut his right leg off. "This should give Jonathan a decent opening." He thought and kicked the skeleton in the back so that it fell to the ground.  "Now Jonathan." He yelled at the top of his lungs. "Stay strong. We will win! It is just a matter of time. We've cut down already one of those bastar*s, so this will also go down in some time."

  13. Said, done. He made his way to the tree that was standing nearest to the yard and jumped on the branch that was the nearest to him. He continued this procedure until he reached a level where he could easily jump over to the roof the the barn. As he reached the top of the building he looked over the complete area of the yard and noticed four small pigs, but no obvious material hiding spots. With a sigh he made his way down to the ground again and started to walk towards the small group of pigs.

A few moments, and a used sword art later, all four pigs busted into tiny little polygons and dropped another four materials into Aereth's inventory. Aereth was really glad that even the low leveled pigs dropped materials. If Aereth wanted to grind for col or other items, he would have to fight much stronger mobs.

  14. Aereth had ran out of energy some time ago, but he still was trying his best to help Jonathan. This was the reason he was training every day in the morning with his sword. Even though his energy reserves were too low to cast higher level sword arts he was still able to hold his ground against the last enemy.

As Jonathan blocked a swipe form the skeleton with his shield, Aereth dashed again in the direction of the Skeleton warrior and pushed it away from Jonathan with a body-check. This resulted in the loss of balance of the skeleton. Now the skeleton was open for a good attack at its torso. Aereth saw that thrusting attack didn't work well on the skeleton, since they were so skinny that the blades sometimes just passed through them without doing any damage. Aereth started spinning and positioned his blade, so that it would hit the torso of the skeleton multiple times. And there it was. With the combined factors of the stumbling of the skeleton and the force of his attack he was able to land a critical hit on the warrior.

  15. Sighing, Aereth sheathed his blade again, as the bartender explained that this was 'only' his second operation, and that he didn't know anything else. "People like you disgust me. Harming the ones who can't protect themselves. You don't even showed determination. Even as we just entered your tavern you were nervous and almost shaking in fear. Now let's get moving." With that Aereth lifted one of the hooded players over his shoulder, and moved in the direction of the door. Domarus told him to act a little bit tipsy, to deceive the other players on the streets. Aereth nodded and walked out.

They had no problems in getting out of the safe zone, and the few people that were on the streets believed their story. As they reached the gate Domarus sighed and put out some water out of his inventory and fed the player the water, while the bartender was taking the rage potion right now.

"I know what you mean. I drank too much to properly carry him and too less to don't care about the physical strain." Aereth made one last time eye contact with Domaus and waited for the show to begin.

    @Domarus

  16. "Yeah, this would be a good idea. because you will just demolish me when we would fight right now." he chuckled. Aereth also knew that he needed to push his damage very hard to be able to do something against Domarus when they would be sparring together, but the spars weren't just to determine a winner and a looser, the sparring would help Aereth to tune his combat style. Now he had no experience how the sword arts would work on a actual player, how they would hit and how the other player would react to an attack.

Domarus asked from where the name Midgard came from, so Aereth decided to help him in this regard. "What you are referring to is the old Germanic word for earth. I was referring to the Jörmungandr, also know as the Midgard serpent from the Norse mythology."

When Keres changed the name Domarus suggested a little bit, the snake and the dragon seemed to like the name. Aereth chuckled an said. "Seems like your familiar and Rhozarth like the name you choose."

  17. Aereth made his way to the back of the barn and entered it through the backdoor. As he went inside he saw some chickens and pigs, as well as an odd looking pile of wood in one corner. He made his way over to the pile and searched it for materials. And he indeed was able to find something. It looked like a some leather material which he could possibly use for his tailor shop. He stored it happily into his inventory and mad his way out of the barn.

As he reached the yard of the barn, he decided to climb the roof once more to get a better overview. Maybe he would be able to find some more materials if he stayed a little bit longer. And if he wouldn't he could just move along and search materials elsewhere. One thing Itzal taught him was that materials are everywhere. You just have to look for them.

  18. After some minutes he reached the barn. Even the treasure hunt quest was still there where Birdie and Aereth saw them last. He chuckled as he saw the chickens. "Seems they re spawned since I was here the last time." He unsheathed his sword and charged his area of effect sword art <<Vertical square>>. Then he slowly walked towards the chicken. With each step the chickens seemed to get more and more nervous. When he finally reached the hate range of the NPC's he released the sword art and split all the chickens into half. The chickens busted into little polygons and the materials they dropped got transferred into Aereths inventory.

"This is an awesome grinding spot." he thought as he rested his blade once again with the flat side of the blade on his shoulder and started to look around the barn for anything new since his last visit.

  19. Aereth was again training as he got the message from Birdie that she needed to meet their group, so that they could get the order for the ship they wanted done. He equipped his normal attire, and made his way to the teleport gate. As soon as he reached it he said. "Floor 18!" and got engulfed in light.

As he regained his vision, he has reached floor eighteen. He stepped onto the docks and started to search his blue haired scouting partner. But before he did that, he decided to check his inventory for the quest items again. "20 normal fat, and five noble wood." Thankfully he had everything he needed with him, so that Birdie could get the order done.

After some minutes of searching he found be blue haired girl and waved. "Hey Birdie. How have you been?" he greeted her with a smile. "I'll transfer the items over to you quickly." And a few clicks later a trade window popped up in front of Birdie.

  20. Also he thought that his wolf familiar would enjoy the winter atmosphere of the fourth floor. Even back in the real world Aereth liked the winter far more than the summer. And even though he was a dancer, he also loved to skiing very much. Back in the time, he was almost every free day on the mountains to go skiing. The thought of that brought a small smile on the face of the dark brown haired player.

He followed the river for some time and then reached a familiar bridge. To be exact, this bridge was the bridge Birdie and he crossed after they went out to gather quest items together. They even found some farm with a quest line tied to the place. Aereth chuckled and crossed the bride to make his way over to the barn. He was still looking for materials but again, couldn't find any.

He hadn't been on much floors but he could definitely say that he didn't want to have the shop on floor nine. He had spent some time with Domarus there when he was getting his familiar, and he really didn't like the whole lava and flame theme of the floor. He was more the cool guy. Even though he was just one time on floor four, he really enjoyed he stay there. So most probably he would be opening his shop on floor four. Today he hadn't done any workout in the morning, because he wanted to get the profession quest done as soon as possible. He was really glad that his mentor Itzal took him in for the time being, and he really enjoyed the company of his teacher, but he needed to get his own shop as soon as possible, so that he could finally start to work on his stealth armor, and to get a steady income.

Then he looked around to see if there were any materials laying around, but unfortunately couldn't find anything. Sighing he took the first bite of his sandwich and enjoyed the quietness of the forest.

Then Aereth thought about the two players. Domarus wanted to get his friend or follower back and Keres was helping him where she could. He really liked the company of those two, especially since they both now knew about his plans and backstory. But he still had the feeling that Domarus was hiding something from him, and until Domarus decided to talk with Aereth about this one thing he just couldn't get behind, he just couldn't fully trust them. Then his thoughts got interrupted by Domarus who was asking him about his plans for the rest of the day. "Nah. Not really. It depends heavily on the time we get home. If it's not to late, I'll probably be going to workout a little on floor three, but outside of that nothing special. Eating, showering and sleeping. And I'd really enjoy to spar with you." At first he was surprised by Domarus offer, but then thought that it might be a very good idea. This way he could learn how the combat with other players was. And he definitely needed some PvP experience for the future.

Aereth thought a little bit over Keres question and had to chuckle at his new nickname. "I don't really know... I'd probably call it Midgard or something like this..." Back in the real world he really was into Norse mythology, so he at least knew how he would call his wolf if he ever got one.

  24. After a short walk into the wood, Aereth spotted again a small group of wolves this time. It seemed that he was lucky today. So he charged his area of effect sword art <<Vertical Square>> once again and slayed one wolf after the other, which rewarded him with another four materials. "This is material gathering to my taste." he thought and watched his energy bar as it dropped to the point where he would get just one more of his <<Vertical Square>> skills to work. Sighing he rested the blade with its flat side on his shoulder and continued his material gathering trip.

He then started to think about his possible familiar. After he encountered the wolves from before he was sure that he would get one as a partner in the near future. Even back in the real world he liked dogs very much. But unfortunately never had one.I

He charged a normal slash and sped towards the grounded skeleton warrior. As soon as he was in range, he jumped and with a somersault slashed the warrior. After that he retreated back to Jonathan's side, and took a defensive stance. "I'm out of energy for now, but we will tackle this one down in no time. I'll do my best."
