Raina

 A warm breeze blew through the town of Flora sending waves of content and colorful strands of hair dancing along with it. A beautiful girl stood in the middle of the cobblestone paveway, oblivious to the world or even her own beauty. Her hand held against her breast as she remembered when this death game first started. The people she met, the friends she had, the potential loves, one definitely came to mind. Crimson red hair danced through the waves of her memories. Raina pulled out her lute, a handy little instrument she picked up while she was back working at the town of Beginnings, and started to play. As she played, she started to sing, a almost sorrowing song, one to put the Sirens themselves to shame. Her graceful movements stole the attention of many players who happened to be near her. Her body danced around as if trying to fight the sheer force of gravity while her hair fluttered along with the warm breeze. 

 She smiled as she opened her eyes to scan the crowd around her. She had always hoped that one day, even for just a second, she will catch wind of her old friends and she could see their were safe. Her friend list was emptied shortly after the falling out and along with it, her heart was emptied as well. She continued her stroll through the street as she played, hoping she would be of luck today, passing many an unfamiliar face, until she saw it. The streak of crimson hair. She stopped directly in front of the familiar man and stopped playing and singing, upsetting the players entranced by her song. Her heart beat fast and heavy in her chest as she struggled to form the words she so desperately wanted to speak. "At....zo. It... can't possible be." She dropped her lute on the ground before she, herself collapsed on the cobblestone below. Her brilliant pink hair sprayed out like spilled paint. Her vision faded as she collapsed, the last thing she saw before total blackness being the striking crimson of his hair.

  The wind blew a cold chilled whisper of despair and death. She looked around and saw all the damaged equipment and scattered pixels and almost wept. She felt the cold metal and glass of the health potion in her hand and opened it, allowing the sickly sweet taste to flood down her throat, drop by drop. The crimson liquid flooded through her small frame like a searing flame, restoring the very essence of her life. She felt her body strengthen as her health points rejuvenated back to max.

 She continued to further her distance between her self and the remaining boss, trying her best to make it back to a safe spot, she really did not want to feel the steel of the monster's blade again. She wiped the tears from her face as she looked around the scorched battlefield. This was her new life now and she really did not like the thought of it.

 Raina saw the man break into shards of blue pixels and could not decide on how she felt. This whole time she wanted the fighting to stop but yet she was relieved Beatbox and herself survived. She looked towards Beatbox but before she could spoke he opened up his inventory and pulled out a gorgeous looking rapier. Pure white with golden details except for the tip which was an almost gloomy looking lilac.

 She held out her hands and grabbed the blade and opened the item details. "Rêve Angélique," She said with a smile. "Angelic Dream, huh. This sword has such a strange energy. Are you sure you do not need it?" She said as she looked up towards Beatbox. "Thank you, I appreciate this so much." She saw the specks of the left over pixels of the player killer and said with a slight amount of hate in her voice, "He did not have to die, but yet all he do was stop attacking but yet he was the type of person that would not." 

 Raina quickly wiped her eyes and turned around causing her hair to flair out like a wave of rose petals. "Thank you, but I think I should head back to town. I promised I would cook for the younger players that stay there. Maybe we will meet up at some point. I wish you well." She said with a bright smile and a small wave before turning and taking the first step away from him. She did not mean to be so rude to him, it was not his fault. She missed every attack she threw at the boars today. This did not bode well for her at all. She placed a hand over her heart and sighed as she continued towards the town. She prayed with all her might that one day she could show this player how strong she could be. That she was deserving of his kindness. 

 Darkness... an endless sea of blackness. Was this death? The underworld? It felt like she was floating into an endless nothingness. She remembered the boss's area of effect attack hitting her, hard. She felt her body sent flying and slam her into the ground and that was that. Did she perish? No, the Nerve Gear would of fried her entire consciousness if she did. She would not be able to float here, in this sea of nothingness, alone. Wake up! She heard a voice say to her. She suddenly just stopped everything. No longer was she floating, she was just still as a statue. A bright light shattered the black nothingness as she opened her eyes. She felt a presence near her and saw Mack over top of her as he used some kind of potion on her. She smiled weakly at him as she stood up and brushed her self off., 

 Her body ached from the pain, even in this virtual world, the pain was almost unbearable.  She cringed a little as she watched the battle near her and knew she needed to make sure she was out of the AOE range. She called out to her group. " I am alright! Sorry I am so terrible! I am going to get out of his range until I can recover some health points!" She said as she back flipped gracefully out of the range of the boss.

 She sheathed her sword and gave an annoyed look to the other player. She crossed her arms causing her "assets" to bounce a little as she pushed her hip out in a very diva like stance. "I would have gotten it eventually. No one said you had to stay here." She said slightly annoyed as the wind picked up blowing her hair behind her. She turned her back to the man and sighed. She did not like feeling so useless. She was here trying her best and blatantly failing at every little thing she attempts. At least her skills as a gymnast seem in par with what she was used to back in the real world. She looked over her shoulder and said, "Sorry, that came off a little cross. Forgive me." She finished before a slight tear formed in her eye and she once again turned away from the player.

 Raina slide down the side of the tree till she landed on the ground and sat there, with her knees to her chest. It was not the best position in terms of comfort but it would do for now. She looked down as she wrapped her arms around her knees and let her hair fall in front covering most of her face. "Maybe.. maybe I should just go back to the inn and just take care of the young players." She murmured barely coherently. She sighed heavily as she thought about the fate of the players stuck in this death game. Her fate scared her the most, would she even survive the end of this place? The chances seemed very slim to her. "Was it stupid of me to even try? I really should not have done this. I give up." She picked herself off of the ground and brushed her hair away, wiping the tears with it.

 Raina was amazed by the player's house he acquired. It was much better than the little room she stayed in at the in back on floor 1. She smiled as she twirled a little in the room before gracefully sitting on a nearby chair. A ray of sunlight shot across a window and fell upon her form, sparkling against her sun kissed skin.She let her hair fall to one side as she looked back to the man. The warmth of the roaring fire illuminated the room and she sighed contently. Her body felt tingly as the remnants of cold dried away. She looked up and said angelically, "You home is very nice, and thank you for the fire. Do not worry about speaking much, I understand. I did just kind of randomly show up here. It is a lot to take in, I guess."  She said with a slight giggle.     

 She winced as she felt the tusk hit her but instantly felt better as her shield's regeneration ability activated. She flipped her hair and gripped her blade tightly. She unleashed a quick slash that was easily dodged by the boar. "Damn you Pig of Doom!" She called out sarcastically as she prepared to fight back. "I am okay. I do not think this pig can hurt me more than I can heal so i should be fine right?" She asked with a wink and a smile. She looked down at the her shield, the Order of the Rose. The trim sparkled in the light as she smiled, remembering the luck she had when she was given this shield. The pig charged at her trying to hit her again but she was ready for it. She leaped over the pig and twirled as she was in the air. The sun sparkled against her radiant skin and shimmered across her rose tinted hair. She landed with a graceful thud on the heels of her boots. "Guess gymnastics really will save my life, thanks Mom." She said with a giggle.

 She felt her body forcefully move against the wall. She could feel the cavern's rocky interior against her back. It ached from the roughness but she knew it was for her safety. She heard a screech as the crimson eyes peered from the darkness and spawned two large bats who charged straight at them. "Lady Vale! Be careful!" She called out as she watched the cat girl punch both of the bats in their face but took a mean swipe to her body. She reached for her blade tightly as she breathed, knowing that Vale was not going to lose to these scrub bats. She walked against the wall and sneaked around the bats. "Lady Vale! I can hear the girl! You got this, right?" She called out to her feline like friend as she entered the dark cave. She heard cries of the girl, clearly afraid of what will happen to her. Even for a NPC, Raina could not help but feel the need to save this girl. She tried to peer through the darkness but was clearly having a bad time doing it. "Hello? Is anyone here?" She called out hoping the little girl can hear her. 

 Raina listened to the tragic tale this player spun. His brother was trapped with him and he had no idea where he was. Her heart ached at the words the man spoke. He had lost track of his brother and list so friend, all to this death game. The man finished his coffee, stood up and turned to leave. Raina stood up quickly and grabbed the man's wrist and spoke, "Wait." She said as she brought him into a hug. As she hugged him she opened her HUD menu and sent him a friend request that way he could always keep track of her. 

 She slowly released the man and continued. "You will find your brother, I can feel it." She said in her angelic voice. She waved the man goodbye and walked across the wooden floor towards the door. She turned back and gave a bright smile before heading outside to the warp crystal. 

 She drew the rapier from it's and swiped at the boar barely missing. She flipped her hair from her face and sighed. "This thing needs to die already, Jesus Christ." She said as jumped back a bit dodging the boar's tusk. She sighed as she looked sadly at the other player, she clearly wanted to kill this monster already. "Someone needs to tell Bacon over here, that it is better fried and dead." She said sarcastically as she pointed towards the boar. "Sorry you have to wait here for me, apparently this might take a while." she said as she sighed before turning her focus back on the boar. A breeze blew her hair in the wind, dancing with the rose tinted strands, sparkling with the light. 

 She really wished she was a better swords woman. Apparently it was going to take a while. She could feel her heart in her chest as the adrenaline in her system ran throughout her body.  

 Raina sipped the hot chocolate and sighed contently as she listen to Hikoru's words. She did not hesitate when he asked to talk about herself, surely someone should know her in case she perishes, right? "My real name is Raina, Raina Lynna Vanille Scylar. I come from a very strict family, one that is probably pissed at me for getting trapped in this game. I am eighteen and a gymnast and dancer. At least I was, " She said as she sighed before continuing, " Now, I guess you can say I am a level 1 Fencer, since I choose to wield a Rapier." She said as she gripped her blade. "I want to beat this game for the young kids who got trapped here with us, they are basically orphans and so many of them have died already. They are my whole reason for fighting, I want them to survive this world, so I need to survive to help them." 

 Raina stood up and wiped the tears out of her eyes as the NPC spoke to her. She saw Vale strutting to the cave and she stumbled a little but quickly followed. The words Vale spoke to her rang in her mind as she followed. She ran her hands through her hair as she walked to the cave entrance. "So.. um.. what should we do? Does the quest say where we should go, or what we need to do?" She asked Vale almost too quietly. She stopped messing with her hair and crossed her arms against her chest pushing her chest up a little.

 She was a bit nervous about this quest, whether it was a good idea for her to accompany another player on it. She did not want to be dead weight. She gripped the blade of her rapier and steadied her breathing as she waited for the quest to start.     

 She picked herself off the ground and winced a bit. "Son of a bitch." She said with a huge amount of snark in her voice. "That damn uncooked bacon hurts." She said with a cringe. She stood herself up and stumbled a little as her whole body ached. "That was too close. Way to close for comfort." She said as she cried out in pain. She sat with her back against a nearby tree and just let her body recover from the attack. She hung her head down causing her hair to fall in front of her face. Tears swelled up in her eyes and she clenched her fists. "I... I cannot even fight a stupid pig." She said through her tears. She wiped her eyes and tried to regain her composure. She sighed a little as she brushed the hair out of her face. Would she ever be useful in a fight?    

 She drudged through the snow after Hikoru and smiled. He honestly just wanted to help her, and that made her day. She did her best to maneuver through the frozen sludge as she saw the village in front of her. She could already taste the hot chocolate and became giddy as she imagined the warmth and sweetness of the chocolate. She walked through the town and smiled as they entered the tavern. "I am so ready for this hot chocolate." She said with a blush. She walked to the counter and sat on a bar stool. She looked at the barkeep and asked sweetly. "May I have a glass of hot chocolate please?" She opened up her HUD and took the essence of steel out of her inventory and looked it over. It was beautiful, glimmered in the light, this was the item she needed to improve her armor? The barkeep placed the hot chocolate down and she took a sip. "Mhmm, so good." She said with a sigh.     

 Raina smiled at the other's words and got a little excited. She gracefully moved around the room, dancing and twirling as she got herself psyched up. "I agree, and my blade is ready." She said with a sweet laugh. "Ya, no, I am so not like that. Blood thirsty is not me at all. I am just messing with you. So.. where are we heading?" She finished as she gave a puzzling look to the group. She placed her hands on her hips and posed her frame in a sassy manner as her hair fell slightly over her face. Her soul was smiling, she could feel in inside of her. She finally had a group of people she could stay with. Strength in numbers, a group of single liked minds. Atzo even revealed his desires and feelings for her and that just made everything even better. She looked at the crimson haired man and smiled before saying to him, "I promise, I will do my best, let us work together okay?" She tilted her head slightly and smiled big, so big that she had to close her eyes, 
 

   Strong arms embraced her as she fell, preparing for an impact with the ground, but yet it did not happen. Her long flowing rose tinted hair flowed in the breeze with every step. "Thank you, Sir Atzo." She said with a cute smile and a wink. She looked up at the man and she steadied her footing and started to follow his movements. She stepped through the trail, smiling at the man who invited her in.Her steps caused her hips to sway and move back and forth. The sound of her heels crunching upon twigs and the stone path echoed through out the path. "It must of taken a lot of col to earn this cabin all the way out here." She said with a laugh. "Gotta say, I am already a little jealous. Only a little." She continued with an angelic like giggle. Her long white dressed danced with her flowing hair in a berserk style waltz.

 She thought about the start the game, her feelings and insecurities. She was not completely over them but with every day out here she gets more accepting of the condition she was in. This was her new life, her new fate. She could only hope she will survive.        

 Raina grabbed Atzo's hand as he led her into the lounge. She smiled as the other guild mates till she realized with what she was wearing, more in likely, they thought she was the help. She whispered to Atzo, "I heard everything by the way, but I feel the same way. And I think I should change, don't you agree?" She said with a smile as she open up her HUD, accessed her inventory and equipped her Angel Maiden's Mantle. She twirled as the maid outfit disappeared off of her voluptuous form and the bride like armor appeared, flowing in the wind of her twirls. She smiled as everyone else in the room, completely unaware of what they could see while she changed. She grabbed the edges of her dress and curtsied. "Greetings fellow warriors! I am Raina Lynna Vanille Scylar, newest member of the Emerald Harbingers. I promise to do my best." She said with a bright smile and a wink.

 Did she really just hear that right? Her heart was crashing in her chest trying not to burst out and her face was inflamed with an incredible heat and blush. She placed her hand against her chest and looked down at her dress. 

 She had worn a maid's dress out of a joke, and she figured Atzo's place could use a good cleaning. It was a real surprise when she saw how big it was now. She had gotten here hours before the guild was supposed to meet. She wanted to surprise Atzo with a clean house and just wanted to get to know him more. She had found a window on the third story that was open and took a deep breathe before running full speed toward the wall, running up and leaping till she managed to grab on to the window sill and pulled herself in. It was a tight squeeze, she did not realize how much her breasts got in the way. "Jesus [censored] christ," She cried out as she tried to pull, only to fall inside and land on her chest, " How the hell did I not realize how big these are?" she continued as she touch her chest a little before blushing. She stood up and tidied up as much of the place before she realized she needed to get downstairs. Opening her inventory she brought out a basket of desserts she managed to trade for. She walked down stairs and was about to say hi when she heard it.

 "He.. he wants to see me?" She said to herself. As she continued to blush she put the basket down quietly and walked behind Atzo and just hugged him from behind. "Hi." She said sweetly as she smiled brightly. 

 Raina cutesy cried out a bit when Hydra appeared behind her. She jumped a little and almost hit the floor. She grabbed onto the case and stealing herself before turning around. She smiled at the man shyly trying to seem confident but obviously failing. The man offered her an item for free, almost to toast their new guildmanship. She blushed a little and quietly said thank you before grabbing the red dragon trinket and accepting ownership. "I am having trouble hitting targets, I think I will take this ancient red dragon's trinket if that is all right. Maybe this is just what I need to be better, to actually be useful." She said as she opened her hub and went into her inventory and equipped the Ancient Red Dragon's trinket. A stunning crimson bracelet appeared on her right arm in the shape of a flame and it glimmered in the might. "Pretty." She said as she held her hand up.

 Raina walked into the door of guild mate's shop, or someone she was told was her guild mate. She just joined this guild so she did not know anyone really but she was on a mission. She looked through the shop and saw so many fabulous trinkets and items. She bent over and looked at some dragon themed trinkets and brushed her hair out of her face and behind her ear.  Her maiden's mantle fluttering its white silk in the breeze of the air in side the shop, cascaded around her body. " This is awfully pretty and sparkly." She said as she studied the stats of the item as well. "Hmm, an accuracy trinket. This could be of major use to me." she said with a smile. "Excuse me, Hydra are you here?" She called out as she brushed her armored wedding dress down a little knock off dust. She smirked at the dress, a funny thing to wear to battle but she just loved it so much. "Hydra? It's... It is me, Raina from the Emerald Harbingers? I was told to come down here."

 She listened to Vargas and regained some composure. "Okay, I.. I will try again!" She flipped her hair before charging back at the last remaining boar. She swung her sword as she charged her sword art and called out, "Linear!" She called out as her speed increased and she almost flew at the boar. Again the boar dodged quickly and Raina's face pouted a little. "This is some garbage." She called out. "I need to do better, I cannot keep missing." She said quietly. 

 She looked at Vargas and said, "Please, do not hold it against me, I am trying so hard." She sighed as she sheathed her blade again in case she needed to dodge again. She then performed a graceful back flip and landed a little farther back from the boar. "I will get them next time, I promise!" she said with a big smile. She sighed as she readied herself for the boar's attack.  

 Her body ached and screamed in agony. It is like her whole body was failing her. Was this what it felt like to die? No, she refused to let some uncooked bacon kill her. She stretched her body and readied her blade and took off. She screamed out as she attacked, " Rip Ravine!" She screamed as she cast her sword art. The boar squealed in fear and dodged quickly. Raina stopped herself and sighed. "This is not going the way I hoped." She called out. She sheathed her blade and saw the pig charge at her again but Raina was ready. She leaped to the side and pushed off the ground with one hand, flipping herself over until she landed on her feet. Gymnastics was never a hard thing for her to learn. All the flips and rolls and dives just came naturally to her, but fighting, this was a whole new challenge.  The boar came out of no where and tore into her body with a savage body blow. She screamed out in pain as she fell to the ground wincing.
