  1. Zanne saw in the corner of her eye the player next to her accessing something in his inventory or hud and then surprised her when he looked at her and asked if her name was Zanne. Turned and looking back towards him, and tried to work out if she had perhaps met this player before and that is how he knew her name. No she was sure that was not the case and took a guess as to who he might be. "Why yes, my name is Zanne, you seem to have me at a disadvantage friend, as you know my name but I do not know yours." She had a feeling that this person might be Itzal from the notification on the notice board, it was too much of a coincidence to be otherwise. Zanne wanted to give him the chance to introduce himself however in case she was wrong.

    @Itzal OOC: Sorry for taking so long to reply! I was so tired the other night and then I have had work the last few days

  2. Zanne both paled and blushed at the same time, she had acted on instinct and had not thought as the monsters attacked and could now see how foolish a move it was, Stryder had every right to have yelled at her. Zanne kited the edge of the battlefield as she saw Stryder knock the spider out of the tree and land a devastating attack on the both of them. The spider tumbled across the ground and Zanne then saw an opening. Lining up an attack and activating her Round Accel Sword Art she dashed forwards in a blurry of wind and then at the last moment saw the spider jump at her so she dropped to her side and slid across the ground, dagger slashing upwards in two swift motions. The spider exploded into shards of light above her as she skidded to a stop on the other side and leaped to her feet.

  3. It felt like Zanne had asked every single person in Snowfrost to no avail and everyone seemed to have one reason or another to not want to help her out. It was only a small town but still she thought she would me able to find at least one person willing to go on a small adventure with her. She began walking up to the teleport pad ready to make her was back to the first floor when someone had appeared in front of her arriving on the 4th floor. Zanne paused when she saw the man, well when she saw what was accompanying him, a tiny ourple dragon was darting around in an energetic way and then flew off into one of the buildings nearby. Zanne just stood and watched, interested in what was going on and besides this newcomer might be willing to take her outside of the safe zone. Deciding to watch what played out next Zanne took a seat on the stairs leading up to the teleport pad and checked her messages. She had a few from some of the Emerald Harbingers but none seemed urgent, still she would need to check in when she was done with her winter explorations.

    Zanne watched as the player walked down the steps and through the small square. The player then stopped by and looked at something she had completely missed, a noticeboard! She felt a bit silly that she had missed it, she supposed that she was too focused on speaking with players to notice it. Hopping up and making her way across the square to the board she went and inspected it. The other player was still standing beside it appearing to be lost in thought. Examining the noticeboard a message caught her eye, it promised the exact thing that she was looking for! Quickly opening up a chat window she sent of a message to the player named Itzal hoping that he was still interested in doing some exploring on the 4th floor and was not too far away.

    Hello Itzal! I just saw your notification on the notice board in Snowfrost and was wondering if you wanted to help me explore! Looking forward to your reply, Regards Zanne

A small party reported having struck the skull with a nearby bone, waking a huge beast in a nearby cave. Zanne had spent the last few days up on the fourth floor. She had spent all of that time relaxing and exploring the Starglades and Snowfrost, never venturing out into the forests as they were far too dangerous for her. She was not able to take on any quests on this floor yet nor hunt the monsters here as they were way too high a level, and in fact she should not even be up here as it was too dangerous for her, she should be spending her time trying to get stronger on the first 2 floors but it was the snow. Zanne loved snow, and felt like she needed a break from the fighting and the questing down below and what better way to spend some time then in a winter wonderland.

    The time was upon her though when she should be getting back to her duties to the guild she had just joined and continue to get stronger so that she could help out a little more. Deciding that this would be the last day she spent up here she went to the small town square of Snowfrost and decided to ask around to find someone who would be willing to take her beyond the safe zone to explore a little more of this floor that she had now fallen in love with. Walking around the small town she was not sure where to start, she could see several players walking around on their own business, some looking more hurried then others. She approached a few different players asking if any were willing to escort her outside the safe zone and the replies she received were either that they were too busy and it was too dangerous, or that the players weren't interested in babysitting. Feeling a bit deflated she decided she would try a little more then just decide to head back early if no one was willing to help.

    @Itzal

  5. Zanne had been told roughly about the ranking system and the different sections of the guild but she was still so new to it that all she really knew was that she would fit in to the Scout category because she was intending to level up her searching skills. "Well he explained the sections a bit and told me about the scout division, that is where I would fit in best I believe! Although I must admit that until I can level up a bit and get stronger I wont be of much use to the guild." She said, the last part a bit more sullen then the first, Still though Zanne had her ever present smile that she always wore regardless of what kind of situation she was in. Zanne was still shocked that she had stumbled across Atzo so simply when Stryder had been trying to find him for so long. "Oh thats right! I should message Stryder and tell him I found you!" Zanne then realized that maybe there had been a reason for Atzo's absence and felt like she should first ask him if that would be alright. "Ummm if that's ok with you of course Atzo, I suppose sending a private message whislt in company in this world is the same as sending a text while in company in the real world! Weird to think of it that way huh.." Zanne had not thought about the real world in quite a while and the fact that she just related something here with it surprised her, wondering where that had come from.

  6. Zanne waited for the pop up to appear and then happily accepted it, her and Gryas were now part of a guild! It was exciting and as well a relief to know that she belonged in a guild now, she now had people that she could look out for and as well have a group of people that care about and look after her. "Hey Stryder do we have a guild hall? That would be so cool!" Zanne said as she then agreed with Gryas that they should begin heading back to town and started leading the way through the forest as they talked. While they walked through the forest Zanne kept her eyes open for anything useful along the way, unfortunately she was not able to find anything but that did not dampen her mood. It didn't take too long before they were back in the small village and in front of the two story house where they had received the quest.

    @Stryder @Gryas Hey guys sorry it took so long! Been in a odd mood lately. Want to wrap it up now?

    Giant Spider - 74/140 HP 42

    Zanne leaped back as the monsters came out of nowhere and attacked Stryder, he reacted frighteningly fast kicking them back in a 360 attack. Zanne had barely landed on both feet from her jump before she was in motion, activating her Round Accel Sword Art Zanne rushed towards the giant spider in a torrent of wind as her dagger appeared in her hand then point first drove towards the spider. It had hit a tree when knocked back from Stryder's kick and used the tree to scamper up and out of the way just as she reached it and then flew right past to no effect. Landing after her jump she lowered her center of gravity and spun as she skidded across the forest floor, dagger out and ready for another attack. She had heard Stryder tell her to stay back, and she felt a little guilty for acting through reaction rather then heeding his words as well as doing as she had promised earlier and not putting herself in danger. She would have to apologize to him after this was all done.

    @Stryder  OMG I thought that at the end of your combat section the 9+1 was their damage... It was not until after I rolled that I realized that was just their roll. They would have one hit me on your turn if I crit.... O.O

  8. Zanne gave Aereth an incredulous look with a slight smirk at the comment, as smoothly as this was all going so far she still did not entirely trust this man. With a smile she replied "Wow that was fast, you made short work of them!" Zanne then moved past him letting his hand fall on empty air and when she noticed the small child cowering in the dark she rushed up to her and tried to comfort her. A part of Zanne realized that this small person in front of her was just a series of code but still seeing this small child like this made her forget about that. "You poor thing are you OK? Here let me carry you out of this horrible place!"

    Zanne turned and looked towards Aereth and was genuinely grateful that he had helped her get this far. "Thank you Aereth, I couldn't have done this without you."

    @Aereth

  9. Atzo... The Forgotten King... Emerald Harbingers..  Zanne's eyes then bulged wide open and her mouth dropped as she realized that this was the person her friend had been searching for all this time. "You are Atzo? Truely?" Zanne jumped up to her feet and did her best at a curtsy. "It is a pleasure to meet you Atzo, my name is Zanne and on behalf of a friend I have been looking for you! His name is Stryder and he has been searching everywhere for you. He had also invited me in to be a proud member of the Emerald Harbingers and as our guild leader Atzo, I am at your service." Zanne was incredibly excited at this discovery as she not only knew how desperately Stryder had wanted to find this man but she had also really wanted to meet the head of the guild she had just joined to truly feel like she was a part of the guild.

    Then feeling a little foolish for her outburst and she imagined she seemed out of place standing up so formally like she was yet full of energy she realized that he had his hand out which she shook with a smile before gracefully sitting back on the bench.

  10. Zanne had just finished up some exploration of the second floor with another player named Stryder that she had only met recently, but whom had already proved himself a good friend. Now that they were done though she figured she would take some time to look around the town here and explore her new surroundings. This was her first venture out of the first floor and it had been an exciting time so far, this floor had similarities to the first but this town was far simpler and in Zanne's opinion far more appealing. As she was strolling through the square taking in the sights one in particular had caught her attention. Sitting on his own was a solitary player that seemed to have a think black cloud hanging over his head. Well that was the impression that he gave off anyway, he was clearly in a depressed mood and it twinged a nerve inside Zanne, reminding her of that player she had met on the very first day inside this game that had a similar disposition. Deciding to try and help make a difference to this stranger she approached the bench he was sitting on and as she got closer she could hear him saying something about skies and dreams, it seemed like the player might be remembering better times.

    Zanne approached the bench from behind it and hopped up and over, agilely landing on the other side of the bench beside the player. "One hundred floors of endless possibilities... Do you suppose that there is a floor somewhere above us made of gold with azure skies? Now that would be a thing to see." Zanne trailed off while staring of in the distance in front of her. Turning towards the lone player she tilted her head and smiled. "Is this seat taken?" She asked. A bit of a silly question considering the seat was now taken regardless the answer as she was already sitting in it.

  11. The bats darted into the air as Aereth charged forward and they managed to get out of his reach in time and clung to the ceiling. They looked ready to lunge down and attack and that made Zanne a bit nervous to move forward. She did not want to die in a cave like this one on the second floor and if these bats got a lucky hit on her it would all be over. Staying a safe distance away Zanne watch the battle in front of her. She needed to get stronger, she didn't want to have to rely on other people so much as she had lately but if she could just get a few levels under her belt she would be able to not only take care of her self but help other people as well. She still was not sure what to make of Aereth, he seemed willing to help and Zanne did not think that he meant her any harm because if he did she would already be in that danger. Even though he had told her that he hunts down the kind of people she had originally taken him to be, she still had to wonder what kind of person would be able to do something like that. Zanne did not think that she would be able to take the life of another player but I guess in certain situations you didn't know how you would react. And she hoped she would never find herself in that situation.

  12. Zanne was glad that Gryas was interested in joining the Guild, she wanted to but was not sure if she would have wanted to go through with it if he hadn't. She smiled at his little jab about keeping her out of danger and teased him back. "Well if you want to join I will have to tag along so that way you don't have to wait for your enemies to die of old age!" Turning to Stryder she was curious about the same question he had asked, would there be some kind of induction or do they just click accept on a pop up like a party invite? "So what would we have to do to join the Emerald Harbingers Stryder? Would I be joining the scout division with you? Oh and do we get to wear matching uniforms?" Zanne hopped that she could get strong enough to be able to help out around the guild, she figured she was probably going to be one of their lowest level members if she joined up and wanted to prove herself as being capable.

    @Stryder

  13. Zanne:  HP: 60/60,   EN: 6/6,   Base Dam:  3, +1 Accuracy,  Mit: 0

    Zanne looked at the two large bats she could see through the darkness and she hesitated. They seemed quite dangerous and she was not sure she would be able to take them head on. "Ummm I think I might let you engage them first if you are OK with that Aereth? They look a bit too strong for me" Zanne said as she held out her dagger, ready to follow him into combat. She then thought about Aereth's other question about being a Tailor. Zanne felt a bit guilty that she would have to turn those services down, at least for now. She had already promised her friend that she would go to his store to get her first light armor. "OH and sorry Aereth, I kinda already have a friend that was going to make some armor for me, I appreciate the offer though! Maybe when I can afford some higher tier gear I can swing by." Zanne replied smiling once again.

    @Aereth

  14. Zanne was surprised by what Stryder had just asked. Not in a bad way though, she just didn't think that someone week like she was would be welcome in a guild but she could tell that Stryder was not joking around, he had meant what he said. She did not have to think about it much, she did want to be a part of a guild, a close group of friends with a similar goal, a similar purpose. People that she could rely on and they to her, somewhere that she would feel safe. She really hoped that Gryas was considering the offer because Zanne knew what her answer was. She began to reply but the words got caught up a bit in her throat, even though Stryder had offered and it seemed clear that he would like them to join she was feeling a bit nervous about accepting. "I think I would quite like that" Zanne said a bit sheepishly. "If you mean it and would accept us into your guild then I will do my best to do it proud! And to help find Atzo with you!"

  15. (Its OK! I have not been on much this last week, been super busy! And yeah lets do some combat!)

    Walking out into the fields outside of the town Zanne went over her items one last time, just to make sure that she had some health potions at the ready just in case things got dire. She was ready, she put her dagger back in its sheath and continued to follow Stryder as they made their way to the hinting ground that he was taking her to. This all seemed a lot of effort to get her profession up and running, but once they were done she would be able to set up her own little shop somewhere and sell her goods. The thought of it was exciting, she had not seen enough of the other floors yet that she was not sure where she would want it to be. "Hey Stryder, do you have a store set up somewhere for all your tailoring? I guess once we are done here I will probably want to find somewhere to set up shop. This floor is quite pretty but I think I might want t oset up somewhere that snows!"

  16. Aereth had asked her what her build was going to be, she had not put too much though into it, she just figured that being her small size and wanting to mostly stay out of the spotlight the dagger seemed like the way to go. She played a bunch of different role playing games before and having a thief-like character seemed like it would be a fun way to play. Plus she liked treasure so it just made sense. "Well I was planning on going for a kinda roguish build and getting the search and lock pick skill. light armour as well I guess! I will work it out as I go!" She replied. Aereth then started fiddling with his equipment which made Zanne tense up a little as she couldn't see what he was doing, but relaxed once the cave was suddenly filled with the dim light coming of from the fire his armour was producing. "Oh that's much better! Its like your a giant walking bonfire!" Zanne said with a smille. The light was nice to have and set her a bit more at ease. With the light in the cavern now it made it a lot easier to find things as they walked, she noticed what looked like a chink of ore mixed in with some rubble to the side and excitedly picked it up receiving a notification pop up saying she had found a  Tier 1 Crafting Material.

    ID# 85448 results:   Loot: 16 (Found T1 Material)

  17. Zanne scrunched up her face and gave out a little whine. "Buuuugs? You said we were here to fight wolves not bugs!" She pouted, it was nice to see him relax a bit more and make jokes so she let it get to her. In truth though she actually liked bugs. Well some bugs anyway, the cute ones of course. She was also to many peoples surprise fine with spiders too, the only spiders that gave her the chills were the really small ones because they could be on you or hidden away and you wouldn't even know it! Zanne shivered then thinking about the idea of being covered in hundred of little spiders... Zanne took out her dagger, flipped it in the air and caught it gracefully. "If there are any bugs I will make short work of them!" She said confidently. So long as they were big ones that is, she would let Stryder take care of any small ones they come across.

  18. Zanne took his hand and pulled herself back up to her feet. "Phew that was a work out! Thanks for keeping me safe! Both of you." She said as she looked at the two of them with a huge grin. She felt like she was beginning to get the hang of this, using the Sword Arts seemed fairly simple and she was looking forward to ranking up again to get some more to use.

    Stryder approached them and told her to keep the Col that he had given her, and the reason why she had laughed so hard just a moment ago was because she had received the exact same amount of Col from killing the mob that he had lent her. He then asked her about guild. Zanne had not given that much thought so far in the game. She was happy just adventuring around and picking up quests she should do with her friends. Guilds seemed to be more of a higher level kinda thing that she was not strong enough yet to even consider. "I haven't given it much thought Stryder! Why do you ask?"

  19. Zanne made a not of how she should send out open messages in the future. True it could be an easy way to lean oneself into danger! Following Aereth into the cave she pulled up her inventory and looked at the guide book within. Luckily the inventory screen and the guide book them self let off enough light to read what they contained. "The quest says that the little girl is trapped in the cave guarded by some bats. I don't think that one you just killed was one of them though, they seem to be a lot deeper in the cave!" Zanne replied @Aereth as she closed her inventory and squinted out into the darkness. Luckily it was not pitch black in here, you could just see what was around you but anything further then a few feet and it descended into complete darkness.

    Zanne looked around for any ores or anything else of use from the floor as they walked deeper into the cave, unfortunately nothing caught her eye, maybe it was just too dark after all?

    Requirements:

    -Rp must be at least 1 full page long (21 or more posts)
    -Due to the cave's darkness and there being no light, any players that chose to enter the cave receive a -1 debuff on all dice rolls unless they have <<Night Vision>>.
    -
    You must fight two <<Giant Bats>>
    -You must find the lost child

    Giant Bat Information:

    <Giant Bat> is a Field mob and has the following statistics:
    Giant Bat: 50 HP
    Damage per Attack: 20

  20. Zanne was thrown to the side faster then she could react, she mannaged to tuck and roll back up into a crouch as she skidded to the side and watched as the largest bat Zanne had ever seen exploded on the end of Aereth's fist as it flew through the air. Zanne paused a moment, her mind racing. If what he said just before the bat showed up was true then maybe she had nothing to worry about.

    Aereth then opened his inventory and before she knew it he was fully kitted out in battle gear and was walking towards her once again. Along with some very simple advise that she felt foolish for not naturally following he also held something in his hand. A teleport crystal? She knew what they did but never held one before. "Ummmm, OK, thanks Aereth.." She said a little cautiously, she did however place her dagger back into her belt and stand up straight. "We can work on this quest together, but I hope you don't feel offended if I keep an eye on you so don't try anything funny OK?" Zanne said, accepting the crystal and placing it in her belt pouch.

  21. As Zanne emerged from the caves entrance a figure fell from a nearby tree and approached her. Zannes heart panicked. she saw a orange marker above his head and she knew that it meant a very bad thing. Her dagger was in her hand and she was backing away into the caves entrance when he spoke identifying himself as Aereth, the person that said they would meet out here. Zanne was nervous that this whole meeting was a trap to lure her out here, she reached the caves mouth again and replied to Aereth. "How can I trust you? You have an orange marker above you, you have hurt people." Zanne was almost ready to turn an run but decided to hear this player out. If she didnt like what she heard she would try and lose him in the cave where its dark enough that she might get away, monsters be dammed.

  22. Zanne took the pear from Stryder happily and bit into it. It wasn't like eating the real thing, it tasted pretty much the same but Zanne missed the juiciness of fruit and how it dribbled everywhere when you bit into it. She nodded towards the apple with a smile. "That one is yours Stryder, dig in!" Zanne finished her pear in several big bites and the pit of the pear exploded in a shower of light when she finished. Zanne loved fruit, she planned to hold a bunch of it in stock once she became a merchant, If people bought them then she could share her love of fruit with everyone and if no one did well then she could just eat them all! Wiping her mouth out of habit even though it was not dirty she looked at Stryder. "So are we heading out of town now? What can we expect once we are out of the safe zone?"

    Nepent Information:

    HP: 0/30
    Mitigation: 0
    Damage: 9

    Zanne saw an opening and charged at the Nepent, she didn't have enough energy to do an impressive Sword Art like before, only had enough to do a basic Armor Pierce. She smashed into the back of the Nepent with her dagger in a point in front of her and as the blade pierced the skin she drove it home and the Nepent exploded in front of her in a shower of glittering glass shards. With momentum from the attack she flew through the spot that the Nepent once stood with the fracturing light shining all around her. She was momentarily stunned by how beautiful it was that she didnt realize that Gryas was standing right on the other side of the Nepent until it was almost too late, she turned mid air and just managed to avoid crashing in to Gryas but instead stumbled and fell in a heap just to the side.

    Rolling over onto her back she looked up and there in front of her was a little pop up notification.

    Congratulations! You have receivedthe following loot!

     60 Col

    Looking at it Zanne just broke out into a laugh. Even though the reward was just a small amount of Col it was one of the most exciting things she had experienced so far in SAO. "Hey Stryder, I can pay you back now if you like!" She said while on the ground with a smile.

  24. Zanne continued to make her way through the town and was surprised when she had received a reply so quickly after sending out the message. A player named Aereth said they were willing to come along and help with the quest. Feeling glad that she sent out the message she made her way to the cave, only stopping occasionally as she passed through the town to quickly browse the goods at one of the stores. She was out of the town and heading through the outlying areas and decided to have a look around for something useful as she walked. Unfortunately there wasnt much to be found and she decided to press on a little quicker until she finally stumbled across the entrance of the cave. Looking around she figured she must have beaten Aereth to the cave so she decided to take a quick peek inside as she waited. She entered the mouth of the cave and decided it was best not to go too far lest she get lost, it was pitch black inside and she could hear noises made by monsters that were a bit unnerving so she headed back out to wait for Aereth.
