After the sad mopey session at the stepping stones, the only thing left of interest was the obstacle course. Making her way to it, it reminded her of a small ninja warrior course. She could never do one of these in real life, but she wanted to give it a try in the virtual one. Perhaps if she was able to conquer it then maybe her confidence would be boosted. After her mind was betraying her like this, she needed it. First up were some stepping planks. She looked down and saw that there was a small pool of safe water. It looked not gross, but cold. She wanted to avoid at all cost as she didn't want to spend most of the day here with soggy stockings. Easy enough, they were like the stepping stones from before. She hopped onto one and immediately began to slide. She quickly lept onto another, then another, and then the last one and found herself at the end of the first hurdle.

Moving away from the statues, Minako made her way to several stepping stones scattered about in a field of flowers. She repeated her walk up to the garden and began to hop from one stepping stone to the other on one foot. And if the stone was too far away, she'd use two feet and try her best as to not trample any of the flowers there. She caught a sudden glimpse of a pair of players picking a flower or two and talking to one another. Probably a couple, madly in love and with nothing better to do then enjoy each other's company. She sighed as she slid down into a sitting position and began to pick a few flowers. How long had it been since she had last heard from Baldur? Or Hikoru for that reason? Since Christmas at least. Neither of them wished her a happy new year or invited her for Valentine's day. She had even baked chocolates for the occasion but only ended up eating hers alone.

Next up on her list were the large statues made of the hedge. Lions, tigers, bears, mythical creatures, and other animals were scattered all around the garden, mixed in with other decorations. Minako spent a few moments appreciating the amount of work that went into something so wonderful. She gazed around and let out a small sigh. She was starting to get lonely and only a few hours had passed. She wondered if Jevi would enjoy this place, or if it was too girly for a girl like Jevi. After all, Jevi seemed like the type who would be the one spending time in a gym rather than a garden. Minako began chuckling as she then pictured Jevi as a date option in some sort of sim dating game. The lovable meat-head who drank protein shakes and exhibited nothing but the true form of the human body. But, the meat-head always was a softie in the end. Perhaps Jevi would like this kind of place after all.

Next up for her was the hedge maze. She had played a lot of puzzle games beforehand so she knew some tricks when it came to solving puzzles, like mazes and the like. She entered the maze confident in her ability to get through it. She began to follow the left wall, knowing that it would show her the correct way to go. Eventually. About, forty minutes passed and Minako was still inside the maze. Just how large was this maze supposed to be? Another half-hour went, and about three people lost in the hedge maze later Minako finally found her way out of the maze. She looked back at the maze and did a small jump of excitement, ecstatic that she was able to complete such a large maze. She waited outside of the maze to also congratulate the people she had run into on completing the maze as well.

Well now that she was here, Minako wondered at where she should start first. Since it was early morning, it was only her and a few other players running around gathering materials to use for crafting. She had full run of the place. At least, until it got busier later in the day. She figured she would start with the fountain, thinking that maybe a lot of materials were hidden in its waters. She pulled her self up onto the edge of the fountain and sticking her arms out to her side, began to walk around its edge. The cold water splashed against itself, cold droplets splashing against the bare part of her leg. The tingle of it caused her to giggle, and soon enough she was beginning one of her laughing fits. She slid off of the fountain and began to attempt to dry off her ankles from the cold water before moving on.

The gate opened and a lot of the land at her disposal, Minako set diligently making her way to the garden in the back. Stepping on some stepping stones and making a small game of it, Minako found herself the be the center of a few side glances from a number of the guards in the area around her. Her face flushing again, she resumed walking normally. The back garden is called just a garden was a severe understatement. Minako's jaw dropped at the size of it, commonplace around here it would seem. A bubbling fountain, a hedge maze, bush statues, stepping stones, hell even a small obstacle course. All of it in view of a large pane of glass attached to the back of the mansion. She couldn't make out faces, but she could see shapes moving behind the glass. Despite all the goodwill, and word of people saying that the owners were nice it was still unsettling that she was being watched like that. Not from a monitor via the internet, but from a window just a few meters away.

After around an hour and thirty minutes had passed, Minako found herself at the front gates of a very impressive mansion. Very grandiose with white marble pillars, a large front walkway that snaked through the lush and well-trimmed green grass that was about a full two acres of the land itself. Minako let out a soft whistle in the wonder of the sheer size of the building. If the front lawn was this big, then how big was the actual garden? She stepped up the wrought iron gate which stood an NPC guard.
"Halt. Who goes?" The guard asked. Minako stuttered with her words for a moment as she stumbled for an answer. "Uhm. I'm Minako!" She said, almost at a shout causing her face to blush a bright hue. "I'm here to use the garden in the back?" She said, the color still filling her cheeks. The guard chuckled a bit. "It's alright Miss. Garden's in the back." The guard said, opening the gate for her.

After getting the location, Minako skipped off to it. She was told that it was a special kind of garden of sorts. A garden in front of a large building that hosted fancy parties and the like. She was told that these people spent time and enjoyed that spent time, watching players come in and pick materials day in and day out. Something about the betterment of friendship and that every event brought people closer together, yadda-yadda. She didn't care about any of that, but she still listened to the people that spoke to her in fully out of politeness. She didn't want to be rude to them, especially since they took time out of their day to help answer her question. The garden was such a long way away, however, and would take the better part of a few hours to arrive there in a decent time to start gathering.

»[Battle Ready] (5) Healing Potions [Post Action to use; Heals 50HP on use]Another day, another doll hair! Or at least, that's what Minako thought the western saying went. Her western culture guide didn't get sucked into the game with her so she was starting to get a bit rusty on western customs and sayings. Minako rubbed her eyes as she stepped out into the morning sun. She wanted to get a few materials today as she wanted to buy some new gear. If her last quest was any indication of what was going to happen, she needed better gear to survive this world. A stronger weapon, better clothing or armor at that least, and maybe some trinkets or something. First, though, she wanted to get the weapon and possible armor out of the way and had swung around to a blacksmithy shop to check prices. After realizing that her initial funds were going to be nowhere near enough to what she'd need, she took a few notes in her mind and left. Players had made mention that there was a special kind of area that spawned a ton of materials, more so than normal. So, by asking around a few more NPC's and some friendly player characters she finally got a finalized location.

Minako nodded as she steeled herself to go toe to toe with yet another boar youngling. Minako walked up to the aggro range of the tiny boar and moved in to attack. Still new to her weapon she swung to high, and caught herself off balance. As the boar leapt at her, Minako squealed loudly and fell over causing the boar to miss her entirely, and crashing into the ground beside her. Both the boar and the clumsy girl lay face first in the grass. Both laid there for a few seconds, each one seeing stars and their respective rumps in the air. Minako was the first to her feet as she rubbed her knees clear of grass, and dirt. The boar got back to its own legs, and its head swivelled back and forth trying to find its prey. It lept about an inch into the air, spinning around to face Minako. It let out a mighty, high pitched squeal, and lowered its head, scratching the ground. "Darn it." Minako said. "I'm no good at this." She said, discouraged with her combat abilities.

Minako looked up at Jevi quizzically as she forgoed a portion of the reward. "You're sure?" She asked, not wanting to be greedy or perceived as stingy. She was happy to take the money however, she did need it. She kept the money, and readied her naginata again. "Alright, so that's what now. Only one tusk?" She opened her menu as quick as she could, fumbling through dropdown menu after dropdown menu. "And we need three. Cool." She said, disheartened.
She peered up from her menu to see a boar peeking from the tall grass. "Oh Jevi look out!" She said as she watched the boar leap from its position and slamming into Jevi's back. The boar exploded into pixels, dropping another tusk in the progress. Minako just stared at the toned form of Jevi. Everything Minako wanted to be, standing before her. Smart, brave, strong, tan, beautiful. How was it that Jevi didn't have a boyfriend again? She shook her head. "A boar leapt from the grass and slapped into your butt and died." She said, a bit giggly.

Minako gathered the small amount of courage she needed to return from her bow. How long was she bent in half? Longer than she needed to be. She straightened her spine, only to catch a glimpse of Lessa's gaze to Baldur. Her worst thoughts were confirmed. They were a couple, or an ex-couple. Minako's cheeks flushed red as she took a step back. "Well, I'll just let you two catch up. Wonderful meeting you Baldur-san, and you as well Lessa-san." She said, trying to eject herself from the increasingly uncomfortable conversation. As she took a few steps back a large object landed beside her, narrowly missing her.
Snow lifted into the air, and with an ear piercing shriek, Minako leapt into the air backwards her eyes closed. She opened her eyes, finding that it was a orange cursored player who had infiltrated the event and was apprehended by other good samaritan players. As the orange player was ushered off, Minako was able to get what looked like a birds eye view of it all. She was wondering why she was feeling warmer, and why she was higher up than her normal height. Looking around she could see that she was now being bridal carried by Baldur. She must of leapt in fear and Bladur caught her as she flew into him.
Her face turned a red that began to match her outfit. A whimpering voice came out of her lips. "B-Baldur. C-Could you p-please p-put me down?" She asked, sheepishly barely under an audible whisper. She was too embarrassed to move, and unable to move on her own for fear of making things worse.
-
Minako slowly turned as she heard a woman's voice. Fear wracked her mind. Was it his girlfriend? Was it his ex? How would she react to seeing a girl holding hands with him? "Oh god," she thought. "I'm holding hands with a man." She looked back at the clasped hand around her own. Giant and strong. The man began to sputter his words out, akin to what Minako had been doing. "Ohmygod, coming here was a mistake. I'm not ready for this." Minako's eyes desperately looked around for an out, trying to find an out. Was there anyone she knew here at the event? No. Was there a message coming saying anything so she could excuse herself? No. There was no hope for her now, this was her life. A panic filled sweaty mess who was currently still holding hands with a man roughly an entire foot taller than her.
He then introduced the two woman to each other, and as he did Minako tried squeezing her hand out from his. If it were possible her face glew even redder as Baldur introduced her with sama. "Why'd he do that?" Her mind went. There was no reason. She was just another girl stuck in this game. A socially awkward, and now nervously sweaty, girl who made a living by trying on silly outfits and playing games. Minako shook her head and gave the woman a polite bow. "Konichiwa. It's nice to meet you." She said, her voice just above an audible whisper. Minako never returned from her bowing position, instead she insisted that this was her life now. Face down looking at the ground hoping no one would see her.
-
Minako pouted to herself as the guy she was talking to was swiftly taken away. He must of been popular if he was being whisked away so soon. But then he appeared from seemingly nowhere. Tall, lean, and handsome. Minako's face stays flushed as he towered over her, seemingly staring intently on her face. Then his expression went from curious, to surprised. And from surprised, to excited. Oh no. Minako immediately put up her hands in self defence as she expected the slough of hate. But, instead he began to ramble about her videos. He face grew even redder with embarrassment as he brought up her cosplaying videos. A silly trend she did that she never expected to take off.
Nearly her entire arm moved as the man shook her hand. "It, it's nice to meet you too." She said, nervously. "I'm glad you e-enjoyed my videos." She said, giving a head nod to the man as he voice softened and trailed off. Why was she so nervous? It wasn't like he hated her, or else he wouldn't have shook her hand or greeted himself so politely. "Oh! You missed me at Comeiket?" She said, nervously. She had to think back to that specific convention. She remembered that she had the autograph session, and then she had a panel after that, and immediately after that she was hosting for the cosplay contest. "Y-yeah. It was Ki-kinda hectic." She said, still stuttering, unable to comprehend her own thoughts and how to approach the man in front of her as her hands fell to her lap. @Baldur

As the boy blushed and turned away so did Minako. The tips of her fingers touched each other again and again in nervousness. She took in a deep chilled breath through her nose as she tried to recollect her thoughts. He had only managed half a sentence, only a word or two. Progress. That's twice as many words as she normally got. Yeah, she had this. She could nail this. She turned again to face his shoulder. "S-Sorry!" She nearly exclaimed. "I'm just, new at this whole social interaction in person sort of thing." She said, trying to explain herself.
She was always a shut in, her parents fighting all the time and herself never really going outside too often. She always locked herself away in her room, her studio as she called it. But talking to usernames is one thing, talking to people? That was another thing. Perhaps that's what was making her so nervous. She let out a small cough. "I'm Minako." She said, introducing herself to the boy. "And you are? I mean, besides handsome." She said quickly. @Hikoru

Another day, another event it seemed like. How long had it been since the valentines dance, ball, thing? Who cared, it was a party here after all. And Minako was going to break out all the stops. Operation Get A Man was undergo, in a brand new christmas edition. A new santa outfit commissioned precisely for this event could lead only to success. Red base, with the white fur time lined her clothing. A garment that hugged her body tightly, that stretched down into a skirt that hung just above her knees. Below that were her leggings, just low enough to expose the right amount of thigh. Red gloves, with the white trim to match the ensemble, and a large hood that covered her shoulders complete with the fur ball at the end of it. Her outfit was, for a lack of better words, perfect.
Arriving at the event she could already see that it was in full swing. So many people in cute outfits, some not in cute outfits, but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The snow stuck to the roofs of buildings and stalls and everything was beautiful. Minako's mouth dropped in wonder and happiness as the scene reminded her of home. She quickly made her way from stall to stall looking at items, special themes gear, but most importantly the food.
After grabbing a few of the croquettes of grilled meat, Minako wandered around the place her keen eyes trying to train on any guy who was by himself. Hopefully, they wouldn't recognize her from the real world as a ViewTuber. Then, she spied a target. He wore a dark red cloak, and from her angle she could catch the glimpse of goggles. It was part festive, part inconspicuous. It was like he was practically begging for attention. The snow crunched beneath her feet as she gathered the courage to approach the man.
When she did manage to make her way to him, her cheeks were a bright red, partial from the cold the other part being flustered and embarrassed. She spoke to herself, "You got this Mini. You got him. You're cool. You're awesome. You're cute. You can do this." She said, quietly trying to bolster her own confidence. With wide strides she finally placed herself next to the man. "H-Hi!" She quickly sputtered out as she wore a nervous smile. "What's a cutie like you doing all alone here?" She said, trying her best to flirt with the man. @Hikoru

The boar turned to Jevi as she taunted it by calling it a name. Instead of standing upright, and attacking normally, Minako rolled forward leaning in with her Naginata and stabbing at the distracted boarling. The blade hit, and the baby boar shattered into pieces of light that dance softly in the air. Minako's face of frustration turned into that of pure happiness, as an innocent smile appeared on her face. her giggling fit reached an all-new high as she cheered out. "YES! I finally MURDERED one!" She said, laughing out right now. Minako looked at the screen that appeared in front of her, awarding her a small lump sum of Col. She frowned a small bit, but closed the window. "Jevi, I only got a little bit of Col from that one, but I'll still share it with you." She said, happily.

The super boar dodged another one of the flawless Minako's attacks. At least in her mind. The boar took a small sidestep and Minako clumsily whacked at the ground with her weapon. Why was this entire thing about fighting a tiny boar so damned troubling? Minako stood up, only to get slapped back down by the baby boar youngling and its tusks. Her knees in the air, Minako planted her rear onto the ground starting to get fed up with the interaction entirely. "This is getting to be some bullshit," Minako said, rubbing her rear as she stood up. "I swear to, UGH, I'm gonna go feckin mental on this thing!" She screeched, ready to do more attacks against it. She started to have second thoughts on the whole, skipping the tutorial part of the game, just so she could get to the game portion of the game faster.

Minako clapped her hands as they entered the desert. Today was going off to a good start. Someone recognized her from her real-life job, and she didn't have a panic attack from it all. Today was a good day. Minako raised her eyebrows at the two women. "Like boys, and girls?" She asked, somewhat confused. "Like, like-like girls?" She asked, scratching her head, unable to grasp the thought of it. Boys and video games were her two favorite subjects. If they started talking about girls, or something she wouldn't have a clue on how to respond. "How does that, work?" Minako asked, wanting to know more about how a girl would interact with a girl, in the same way, that she liked boys. Then Kimi said the magic word. "Spencer huh?" She said, repeating the name over and committing the name to memory. "So, he's tall? Like, how tall is he?" She asked, concerned about her own height.

Minako let out a cheerful laugh as jevi eaisilly brought down the boar youngling. "Amazing Jevi! You're super strong!" She said, as she finally managed to pry her own weapon from the ground. "I'm gonna try and kill one now." Ahe said, skipping up to another boar youngling. Minako raised her naginata again. "Now, just hold still little bacon." She said, holding up the blade high above her head, hoping to bring it down on top of the boar youngling. The boar squeaked, before rushing at Minako, not taking any of her threat seriously. Minako yipped backward, her naginata throwing her off balance as the youngling boar ran up and gored her shins with its tusks. "Why you!" Minako grunted, picking herself up.

Minako stretched her arms above her head as she sat up in bed her lips smacking as she finished a loud yawn. Swinging her legs out of the bed, she was woken up completely by the cold floorboards of the inn she was staying at. She peered outside her window, not caring if the people below on the streets could see her in her jammies. But as she peered out she noticed the slight fog that hugged the ground, she looked over and saw a large tent in the distance. Her menu couldn't react fast enough for her as she changed into her normal school uniform and rushed downstairs.
Sprinting to the fairgrounds Minako took her sweet time looking at all of the decorations, barely able to keep her excitement in check. "Awww, it's all just so spooky. I love this time of the year!" She said giving a small twirl. She spotted what seemed to be a fairly large line, and stepped into it. Ahead of a few people she noticed Jevi, but before Minako could say anything her friend disappeared into the tent. Pouting she waited in line. Arriving at the front of the line, she quickly paid the 500 Col not batting an eye at the price.
Making her way inside she was amazed at just how big the tent was. Her eyes sparkling with delight she quickly found her friend and slid next to her on the seat. "Hey there friend-o!" Minako said happily. "You think they have popcorn in this place, or you think we should've smuggled some snacks in here?" Minako took a quick peek around the stands. "Speaking of snacks, look at the cutie over there." She said, motioning over to a man who was awfully tall. "His shoulder's look so wide." She said, almost sighing. "What I wouldn't give to be swept away in those arms like a princess." She said, crossing her arms around her chest and giving herself a little hug.
"But what about you Jevi-sensei?" Minako asked, letting the moniker slip for the first time. "You been up to anything much?" Minako asked, not wanting to hog the entire conversation. "I went to a mansion the other day. They let me pick materials in their garden." Minako said, her short legs swinging off of the bench.
