  1. (OOC: Works for me. We can probably have this closed and benchmarked by a GM.)

Miaki nodded thinking about the battle ahead. "Sounds like a plan. Meet me just outside of <> on the second floor. Around 4pm? Most raiding parties tend to deploy an hour prior so there won't be a massive crowd."

  2. (He told PM'd me last night as well.)

While they were eating their meal, Kane talked about what he knew about the field boss and how most people avoided it. Not much later, the three men finished there food and decided to part ways. Kirito mentioned having to return to the front lines and wished the two good luck on their new found goal. Miaki and Kane started to leave the restaurant and walk through the city. "You seem to know a bit more about the boss, any idea how it behaves? It would be helpful to have some understanding in order to best fight it off."

  3. This newfound spirit started to rise up in Miaki, the darkness in the beyond tried to snuff it out but the new drive was too sudden and too strong. He sat up with a whole new vigor, a skip in his step nearly. He wanted to jump in the air and shout, not in anger or rage, but with strength and determination. A fiery look entered his eyes. He felt full of life and energy. Ready to run out into this new world he was in and fight through legions of monsters. He drew his sword and aimed it toward the sky. He didn't care if anyone saw him standing in a plaza making a spectacle; in fact he hoped they saw him then maybe they too would feel this kind of drive. "Alright Kayaba! I'm ready for you! You want me to win this game? FINE! I'll beat every floor you have ahead of us!" He shouted out at the sky and shook his sword aimed to the floors far above them.

  4. Miaki thought more about the curse that Eryn mentioned and almost talked more about it but decided not to pry further. The mystery of this young, playful girl would remain just that for now. A mystery.

"Anyway I'm sure anyone could really live out here if they wanted... It's just something FUN to do "

"I couldn't agree more." He said with a smile. "But sadly most people don't think like that." The sun had finally set and the land was covered in darkness. A very feint light glow off in the distance where a town likely stood. One nice thing about SAO was that the stars lit so brightly in the sky only when you were close to one of the cities did they appear dim. Miaki was in awe of the massive constellations and the swirling lights overhead. A gentle breeze caused the rim of his hat and bits of his jacket to flutter. As if to top off the summer themed night, fireflies start to appear in the valley in front of them.

  5. The humid climate of the 6th floor made Miaki sweat often. He changed his usual old western inspired attire for something more fitting to the climate and conditions of the sixth floor.

He wore a light brown fedora that kept his strawberry blonde hair out of his face, a thin khaki long-sleeve, sandy colored cargo, and thick brown leather boots. For a game that generally kept itself in a medieval style theme, Sword Art Online had a stunningly infinite variety in fashion. He was armed with a <> which he bought from a weapons vendor in the main city hub on this floor.

Unlike most of the information Miaki learned which was through hanging out in a tavern listening to and interacting with NPCs and players; the information for the quest he was about to start came from an information broker. The broker told him about a mysterious waterfall located deep in the jungles of the 6th floor. He didn't know much about it aside from when one would sit near it in a meditative state they would face their demons and inner most fears. This intrigued Miaki had long since left civilization behind him and broken off the main road and began working his way up a small dirtied footpath that led into the heart of the jungle.

  6. Maybe Im just blind but Im having the hardest time finding any details on the types of features that each floor has. I suggest a page like the first floor which offers basic information of the types of various terrains and geographical features.

The information should be divided up by:

    - Terrain: Include basic information of what types of features the level contains (mountainous, jungle, desert, plains, etc.).

    - Monsters: What types of monsters are common on this floor

    - Cities/Towns: The name (and maybe a simple description) of the main city and villiages (maybe include basic size and type of architecture).

    - Basic geographical orientation: I think it is safe to assume that most of the time (unless stated otherwise) most main cities (like <> where the player first enters the floor are in a central location. So the general direction of certain regions should be listed.

Thats all I can think of I welcome any input or complaints that may exist with this idea. Im suggesting this to give players a little guidance in names. I realize that since some players are mapping the other floors that this changes things so maybe for those levels the information is vague and restricted to maybe just the terrain and the floor description information should be added to when such this are "mapped". None of this should be restricting but merely to give players a little bit to work with.

  7. Miaki had spent quite sometime on the second floor of Aincrad. The mountainous and forested terrain of the floor brought many adventures to the young swordsman. But after sometime he felt it was one again time to move forward. To make his way into the main dungeon of the second floor, one that was blocked by a large and mysterious boulder.

Miaki heard that a quest was involved with this boulder and that players had to find a way to break it without using weapons. Apparently the stone was an <> as he had heard from players in the tavern on that floor. Only those who found a way to break it by other means would be able to gain entrance to the dungeon within. Players would even obtain a new skill <>. This was an opportunity Miaki would not pass up.

  8. Okay we all can agree that for the most part subs are better than dubs when it comes to anime. Whether this is because we like the way the Japanese language sounds (that would be an interesting study...... #LinguisticStudent) or we are so used to hearing a show in Japanese when it finally comes to English it never seems right. So what I want to know is, which do you like better and why. Also mention what you like about both of them if you can.

I personally have yet to get around to watching the entire series in English and have only gotten as far as episode 3 or so. So I can't say which is best but I definitely like who they chose to voice act Klein. From day 1 I knew they nailed him. He captures the role of being a gamer and how we act and talk.

    What are your thoughts?

  9. Miaki shook hands with Atlus. "I pronounce it Miaki." (OOC: Mia-key) "But I'll respond to both." Being called Mike reminded him of the real world where he was often called by that name. Stepping back from Atlus Miaki address everyone present. "Have any of you been to the floor before?" He asked looking around the small group they had formed.

  11. I studied Tae Kwon Do for about 9 years before reaching Black Belt. I stopped after that but keep my skills up by practicing and working out. I unofficially teach Tae Kwon Do (with a mixture of other tricks I've learned over the years) to the three sons of my housing director. I try to keep it on the down low for the most part though. Once people learn how much you know things can get a little...... complicated. Perhaps others know what I mean.
