  1. With that, it was time to accept the party invite, and begin the trip. Astralin pulled out her Skillbook, and began looking through it to pick out a few methods for activating her sword arts, as well as some ways to activate her support skills, too. "Hmm...this one will do, maybe this one too...ah, yes, I can't forget about this one..." She thought aloud to herself. She soon closed the Skillbook and looked back to her party with a smile. "Well, my defenses might not be much, but I can lend mild support and strike with my innate power! I've been getting much better lately, you'll see!" She
  2. Apparently Krysta and the other player had only just met. The other player proceeded to introduce herself as Yona, and ask Astralin for her own introduction. "Well, nice to meet you, Yona, I'm Astralin." She said as she offered her hand to shake. Krysta received a message from someone, and began to speak of the situation. Oh, so Yona was being carried...in a dangerous situation such as Monster Overpopulation...well, at least she applied crucial MMO knowledge to the strategy before it was even formed! "Right, um, s-sure, then!" Astralin uttered out, failing to hide her doubts. Yona then as
  3. Astralin still had yet to see anything just yet, but that wasn't stopping her, for she'd only just begun. She heard the teleport gate activate, and she turned around to see Krysta and one other player come out of it. They seemed to be in conversation, but there was always strength in numbers, so no time like the present to act reckless. "Heeeeeeey, Krysta!!!" She called out as she waved at the two players, before walking over to them. "Are you here to investigate the phenomenon, too? I got here only a few minutes ago, so of course I haven't found anything yet." She explained. "So, anyway, who'
  4. Astralin had a lot to adjust to. First, the strange book disappeared and she had to find it again...but now that she had it again, she noticed that the book now seemed...complete? There were many empty spaces in it before, and everything looked a bit different...save for the writing that she couldn't read, of course. Hearing about the festive phenomenon going around all the floors seemed like a potential mystery to solve, so it was time she got moving. "Equipment: Check. Odd Book: Check. Alchemical Research Book: Check. Spellbook: Check. Well, that's everything, now it's off to Floor 10 f

  9. Unique Enchantme- er, Enhancements? Available? It was more likely that Astralin thought. Regardless, this was a chance for Astralin to see if there was anything really worth it. She entered the shop, and began to take a look around. She would soon find something kind of strange. It was an axe, something Astralin wouldn't use...but to not take a look might be something to regret later on. When she looked at its stats, everything she saw in it changed. Going... Her mouth opened, her eyes lit up, she couldn't believe the word right before her... "Burn". Going... "Ooo
  10. Astralin didn't see like, most of what just happened coming. At all. Dazia really wasn't in a good mood. It also seemed that Krysta had tipped off some people who started chasing her down. "Wonderful," She muttered sarcastically. "They haven't learned their lesson since that encounter on the fourth floor..." Dazia's head was patted by the man who donated the materials, and she didn't seem to like that, for whatever reason...Astralin then remembered that in certain kinds of fiction, there was always that one person who hated being short...if there were actually such people, would that
  11. Astralin received her drink, and took a sip. She was actually surprised when she remembered how much she missed some of the simple things from the real world, and she was surprised how this game was able to properly replicate this. It actually reminded her of some good times she had with her real world friends. Sure, most of these were during her teenage years, but she did have some of these good times in the beginning of her adulthood. Lishuu commented on the fact that Astralin wrote notes on her research in the books she had. She then asked if it helped her in crafting. "Well, that's th
  12. The players began placing their orders when the server arrived. Lishuu was able to order a root beer without getting declined, so it looks like they carried this after all. When the server came over to Astralin, she was ready to place her order. "I'll have a root beer as well." With that, the server was ready to attend to another matter. Lishuu asked Astralin what profession she was seeking, and her eyes lit up. "I pursue a lot of things, and Alchemy is one of them." She said as she pulled out one of her two Alchemical research books. "This is just the smaller one, I'm saving the larger o
  13. Lishuu repeated the names introduced to her, then said that she hoped that the players would see more of each other. "I hope so, too." Astralin added with a smile. Koga led the players to the place he spoke of, the Small Beginnings. It was a nice little place, and it might have been free of the usual scuffles in most taverns, everyone seemed to be positive here, rather than overly boisterous or irritated. This may have only been the surface, but Astralin decided to be positive about this. Lishuu complimented on the place and its homely atmosphere, and Astralin had to agree. Sketch wo
  14. Koga said that he knew of a good place, and it would seem they had root beer there, too. Lish seemed to love the idea, and Astralin had to agree. "Root beer is the best beer, I'm in." She decided. Lish seemed happy that Astralin wanted to make friends, and she explained a bit about her past... "I know that feel right there. I might not have seen everything that this settlement has to offer, but it doesn't change the fact that us late bloomers know more about this town than those who left before us when starting out. Honestly, finances are a nightmare when you can hardly earn anything..."
  15. Koga claimed there was nothing hurt, aside from a few bruised egos. A blue haired young woman remarked about Astralin's kindness between words said to Koga. The woman then stood up while helping another player back up, then told the heavy-armor clad player, who she referred to as Chad, to apologize. "He sure looks like a Chad to me...ugh, it's like that name bears a curse that makes people into rude jerks at least some point of their lives." Astralin thought. The blue haired woman then began trying to help the other one further, and she addressed him as Virgil. She told Chad to apologize, but
  16. Despite that Astralin was starting to rise in level and opportunities, she still found herself roaming the Town of Beginnings from time to time, which wasn't a bad thing, of course. Soon she heard shouting, and saw a crowd, even. She quickly pulled out her Skillbook, and looked up her entries on healing. By the time she'd stowed away the Skillbook, tension seemed to be rising over something that might have ended, based on some of the things being said. Astralin would rush over and make her way through the crowd, with some difficulty, obviously. "Ah, excuse me, coming though!" She said as she w
  17. Astralin would soon realize it would be more difficult to find a merchant shop than she first expected. Whatever the case, it wasn't stopping her, and she was going to get herself some essential preparations, on the off chance that things would ever go from bad to worse. Floor after floor, she looked around the safe zones, seeking out a place that could potentially have one. Eventually, she stumbled upon a place with a bit of an unusual setup. She would look around the area, and figure out that this was indeed a merchant shop that was open, despite the appearance suggesting otherwise at first
  18. At first the girl seemed to be calm, but perhaps a bit uncomfortable? Was it Astralin's question? Could it have been how she simply walked up and- "Done. One second." ??? Wait, so she was the shopkeeper all along? How surprising! Of course, she suddenly bolted for the back, not so calmly however, as one could observe. Something was off, but Astralin couldn't tell what exactly. Astralin would find herself waiting for a short while, but that may have been because crafting sometimes takes a longer process, often depending on the crafter and the profession itself. It was awfully qui
  19. Astralin wandered throughout the Town of Beginnings, hoping to find a place where she could get some enchanted- er, enhanced jewelry that could help out on her travels. If there was one thing she would need, it was Accuracy. She had been involved in a few fights, and she would throw her punches, and she missed. She was ready to strike, and she missed again. This had gone on for several fights, and she couldn't put up with it any longer. She decided to make her way to that place again...it was an awful joint of town, but it had its perks...specifically being the chain of shops it has. She would
  20. After a short amount of time, the shopkeeper returned with two items. He was apparently offering another item...free of charge. "R-really?? That's very thoughtful of you, thanks!" was her response to it. The shopkeeper said she could try on the light armor and let him know if the fit was right. She placed the col that she needed to pay onto the counter, and took the items. Sure, she would indeed try on the new light armor...but she would need to be clever about it. "Sure, I'll try it on. If you'll excuse me for a second, just in case." She would walk over to one of the displays, place herself
  21. Astralin had heard of a rising tailor shop ran by a player, but the shop was also in one of the absolute worst places in town! She didn't know whether or not going would be a good or a bad idea, until she heard as much as she could about safe zones. Once she had that information, she gained the courage to step into the town's slums, searching for the tailor shop. The Vagrants were almost unexpected, and she would offer them advice, and give them small amounts of col that should help them live on for a bit of a while. The criminals? She was ready to face each one that came her way, but there we
