  1. Violet sat in the silence. Crap, I brought the mood down once more, she scolded herself internally. Luckily, the arrival of their dinners interrupted the awkward and heavy quiet before too long. Digging in enthusiastically, Violet sighed happily, her mood improved once more. "She always makes the best steaks," Violet responded happily to Vandrin. "Back in the real world, she was also a wonderful cook. Even butchered and preserved certain parts of meats as well. Ooo and she made the best beef jerky and salami!" Violet's eyes lit up with the thought of all the food that her friend had made for them over the years.

She shook her head and brought herself back to reality, apologizing, "Haha sorry, it's just I absolutely love the food they have here. And it's so hard to find the right type of food in this world that I'm craving." She continued to chow down happily, loving the bloodiness of the steak and the saltiness of the butter in the mashed potatoes. And the gravy -- oh the gravy was to die for. It's what tied the whole meal together.

  2. Violet stopped speaking and listened closely to what Vandrin was saying, her brows furrowing in deep thought. She was quiet for a moment as she mulled over what he had said in her head. She sighed. Once before, she had tried to run away from her problems too, and it had gotten someone very close to her killed. Closing her eyes a moment, she could see the color crimson everywhere. On her clothes, in his hair, around his face... Her breathing quickened, and she had to focus for a few moments to keep from having more flashbacks. Once she was composed again, she cleared her throat. "I once tried to run away from my problems as well." She paused and took a sip of water, continuing to look at the table as she spoke. "I wanted to drop my responsibilities and run. I was frustrated. Stupid. Young." She closed her eyes and winced. "I tried to go off on my own and go solo. I had gotten in an argument with one of the other leaders, and I felt it was my time to leave. But that's the thing." She laughed dryly. "Once you're in one of these organizations, you can't just leave so easily."

"I had been chasing after another member of one of the other gangs. He was just taunting me, and I foolishly followed after him, believing that it would be another easy kill. But I was wrong." She bit her lip. "Instead, they trapped me, and I had to watch as the one person I ever truly cared about..." She caught herself, and stopped before she could finish her sentence. "People form gangs because there is a strength in numbers. Once you section yourself off from everyone, both you and those you care about become vulnerable. I should have had my team with me..."

She looked back up at Vandrin with a sad smile. "What I'm trying to say is that your past will keep chasing you until you face it. I also enjoy it here in the game. But I also miss the fresh air, the actual dangers and real pain of real life. I miss being free. Even being in a gang has more freedom than this." She gestured to the world around them.

  3. Hello everyone,

I'm currently in the process of trying to build this character (and a few of my other characters) by leveling up and taking on new missions. RPing with another person will make grinding a lot easier and more exciting. Please feel free to PM me or respond to this post if you would like to do a few quests together?

  4. Violet watched with pleasure as the orange player tried to run away. "Not so quick, my little toy. You won't be escaping your fate today." She slowly began to walk towards him as he turned to run. Her blade began to glow a deep orange as she activated her sword art. With astounding speed, she rushed forward and caught up with the orange player in a few strides. "Boo," she whispered in his ear right before she stabbed him four times in his back and chest. Leaping away, she laughed. "I told you you wouldn't be escaping today."

Cornering the player against a thick grouping of trees, she slowly approached, her companion Dahlia joining her and growling lowly. "Now, I'm curious," Violet said to the orange player. "What type of idiot attacks someone many levels above them?" She grinned and leaned in close, waiting for his answer. Dahlia growled next to the man's cheek.

You enter the shop and see a young, blonde-haired woman leaning against the counter at the front of the shop. She is playing with a dagger in her hand. As soon as she hears you approaching, she looks up and smiles. “Welcome to my shop,” she says as she opens her arms, gesturing to the array of items around her. “Feel free to buy whatever interests you.” Her grin widened. “And I also take special requests. Both items and other deadly services,” she winks and laughs. Something about the aura around her makes you cautious, but also intrigued.

Whatever other services could she offer? Feel free to ask!

  6. "Maybe, if you wanted to choose a different path in life, maybe you could even do the same."

Violet's lips formed a soft, sad smile. "I've considered that before. But this was what I was raised and trained to do." She breathed deeply, and her brows furrowed. "And I can't leave my men. I was the youngest leader in the gang, but I was considered one of the best. Sure, I might not have the nicest bunch of guys to look over..." she paused, looking at the corner of the shop as if she was looking back into the past. She sighed, and her smile deepened. "But they are my family." She looked back at Vandrin. "They're the only family I've ever known." Those words hung in the air, and she looked away from his gaze. Then she thought for a moment longer. "But you can't forget your past, Vandrin. It may change you, but it will always be a part of you. For better or for worse." Her eyes had a look of understanding in them.

Then he asked what quests she suggested. At this, she brought her menu up and brought her hand up to her cheek, tapping it with a finger as she scrolled through the quest list. Her eyes rested on a quest titled <<The Venomous Warg>>. It was based on floor 2 and in the recommended level range for Vandrin. "Ah, The Venomous Warg is a good one for us to start out on." She smiled and looked across the table at Vandrin. "What do you think? Wanna give it a go?"

  7. At exactly one hour later, Violet walked through the shop door once more. Immediately, she rushed over to the counter and looked at the items laid neatly on the counter. She studied each one carefully and then put them in her inventory. "Superb job once more," she said happily as she slapped 1280 col onto the counter. "Here is your payment. Feel free to visit my shop on the sixth floor."

She quickly waved goodbye and headed back outside and to her own shop, humming a nice tune to herself. Hopefully, this new light armor would fit her well and help her gather new items for her shop.

  8. Violet burst into the shop with three items in tow. "Hey, James! I got these for you to identify!" she shouted as she rushed up to the counter. She promptly put a dagger and two cookies down. "I got these bad boys on my last quest," she said proudly. "And guess what. I'm a merchant just like you now!" She was unusually happy and carefree at this moment due to the excitement of opening up a new shop. "Feel free to stop by if you need any identifications as well," she said as she turned to leave. "You know the drill. I'll be back in an hour to pick those items up."

  9. As soon as the blade hit Violet, she began to laugh. The blade only left a mere scratch on her arm that had been raised in defense. Twirling her blade in her hand, Violet strode forward, backing the orange player up against a tree.

Violet giggled. "Get ready for a little pain, hun," she taunted and teased as she trailed her dagger softly into his skin. "Now, I'll be kind and let you know when I'm going to cut into your skin." She trailed the knife along his chest. "On the count of three... One..." *scrape* "Two..." *Slash!* On the second count, Violet thrust her blade into his body four times, pulling him close on the last thrust. "You're pathetic. A mere excuse for a murder. Let me show you how it's truly done."

There was a red glint in her eye as she pulled her blade slowly out of the player's chest, a low laugh coming from her grinning lips.

  10. Dahlia growled and leaped forward, grabbing the leg of the tarantula so that Violet could take it out with only one more blow. Violet noticed what Dahlia was doing and smiled. "Thank you, for helping, Dahlia," she said as she did one final slash across the face of the beast. Just a final basic attack, and the enemy disappeared into tiny pixels.

Violet sighed and stretched. She felt a bit tired. Today had been a long and eventful day at least. She couldn't wait to get settled into her shop and fall asleep in the loft above her shop. A bag of loot popped up, and Violet bent down to check it. A frown ran across her face. "All that fight for nothing useful..." she sighed. Then she turned and looked at Dahlia, a smile coming to her lips. "Hey, but at least we had fun today." Dahlia meowed in agreement.

  11. The closer Violet got to the beast, the more it tried to fight her off. But every throw of a leg was met by Violet's blade, slicing the dangerous hairs clean off of some of the appendages. Twisting her blade in the wounds, she sliced open the side of the arachnid's abdomen. The woman began to laugh as the bleed enchantment on her weapon was activated once more. More, more, more! she shouted inside her head with each swipe of her blade. The feeling of dealing pain and overpowering another being excited her. It was as if she was becoming drunk off of the blood lust she felt.

Dahlia decided to leap in and help take over the fight when she noticed that Violet was becoming less aware of what she was doing. She had become nearly taken over by the need to kill. It had been too long since she had last been on a hunt.

  12. As the tarantula picked itself back up onto its 7 remaining legs, Violet strode forward, her blade beginning to glow with the fad edge sword art. A certain murderous glow shown deep in her eyes as she readied her blade, bringing it up in front of her chest. Slash! Slash! The sound of her blade digging into the flesh of the beast pleased Violet and only made her slide deeper and quicker. Overtaken by her blood lust, Violet didn't notice in time to dodge a critical attack from the tarantula.

With one sweep of it's front legs, the tarantula knocked Violet to the side, making her slide on the ground for a feet. Getting up slowly, and dusting herself off, Violet began to smile. "Ha. Finally a good hit. I was beginning to wonder if I had forgotten what pain felt like... Thank you for refreshing me." The odd glint shone brighter as she turned to fully face the tarantula.

  13. The tarantula stooped and fell to its knees. The pain from the reopening of its previous wounds seemed too much for the arachnid to handle all at once. Violet dashed forward, taking the opportunity presented to her. She jumped off of the ground and onto the tarantula's back. Then she took her blade in her right hand and stabbed deeply into the abdomen of the beast four times, causing the beast to weaken even further.

As the tarantula began to gather its strength once more, Violet leaped back and waited for the thing to get up. She wanted to fight it for just a little while longer before she killed it. She didn't want to forget what pain felt like. The stronger the pain she could handle, the less she would be affected by it in battles. And besides, she liked the pain a little bit anyways.

Dahlia waited patiently for a future signal.

  14. The tarantula let out an ear-aching screech and ran at Violet, who was still standing with her arms open, motionless. She closed her eyes and smiled as she felt the light pain of the fangs entering into her left shoulder. She allowed the spider one full breath of movement and then she attacked. But the arachnid was still strong and stood its ground, pushing the woman back with two of its front legs.

Violet smirked. "Don't think that you can just push me away. I'll cut those two front things of yours off," she giggled with glee. Taking her dagger, she twirled it around with her hand, slowly walking up closer and closer to the beast, backing it up against the trunk of a huge tree. Trapped, the tarantula hisses, the hairs on some of its legs shooting out. Only one of those razor sharp hairs pierced Violet's armor, and it didn't even penetrate through all of the leather armor.

She grinned as the bleed enchantment took over once more, reopening the wounds on the spider's legs.

She swiftly dashed forward, aiming for the player's stomach this time, but he stopped her blade at the last second. She bared her teeth, pushing against his sword, their blades interlocked. Finally, he pushed her back a few feet, freeing both of their blades.

Violet turned back to Tanoshi. "New player! Do you have any potions? Use them now!"

If he doesn't have any, he better pray that the guy misses, she thought to herself while standing guard in front of Tanoshi, acting as a shield.

Meanwhile, Dahlia had circled back behind the orange player, waiting for a chance to attack and hold him down. She crouched down, hiding in the shrubbery behind the man.

  16. "My turn," Violet muttered as she dashed towards her target, her blade charged with a sword art. Slash! She slid her blade into the flesh of one of the tarantula's legs four times, disabling the leg and slowing the spider. Violet grinned. Weakening the target bit by bit was such fun to the woman. It was like playing a prolonged game of cat and mouse.

Hidden in some this plants, Dahlia was waiting for the signal from Violet. For now, she waited patiently, not making even a peep. Violet had landed the first attack and had twice the health of her adversary, so Dahlia wasn't too worried about the fight. She rested her head on her paws, lazily watching the fight carry on.

Violet became cockier and stood in front of the spider, arms wide open, opening her defenses. "Come on. Just get one hit on me, and maybe you'll have a 1% chance of winning instead of none." The woman laughed.

  17. After buying and setting up the shop, Violet decided it was time to go find more items for the shop. "How about a little more hunting?" she suggested. Dahlia happily meowed in agreement. So the pair set off again for the jungle in search of more items in need of identification. After about an hour of gathering, the pair happened upon a giant tarantula resting on its vertical web. "Hey! Big spider! I'm going to kill you now," Violet yelled up to the beast as she moved closer. She unsheathed her blade and stepped forward, slashing at the web. The tarantula moved surprisingly quick for its size. Leaping over Violet and coming to rest on the ground a few feet behind the young woman. The force of its landing caused the ground to quiver slightly around it. Violet smiled. A challenge.

While Violet was still half-turned towards the spider's web, the tarantula skuttled forward quickly and tried to lash out with its fangs. Violet nimbly dodged and leaped backwards away from any further fang attacks.

  18. Violet turned her head swiftly towards the player. Orange cursor? That's the first one I've seen, she thought to herself before whistling the melody of a songbird. She checked the orange players stats really quick and laughed. "Level 4. Pathetic," she said, her eyes glinting with a type of lust. Now was her chance to take out someone without punishment. He was already an orange player. You could say she was doing the world a favor.

With a quick trill of a whistle, the signal was given. Dahlia jumped from the bushes where she had been hiding as soon as she heard the first whistle. The leopard's attack surprised the man enough to give Violet a window of opportunity to attack. With a large grin, she activated her sword art and rushed at the player, thrusting her blade into his upper body and chest four times before leaping back and out of the way of any attacks.

Violet giggled. "Idiot. You never should have shown yourself." She was beginning to enjoy herself.

  19. Once they reached the sixth floor, Violet began walking along the stone streets, trying to find the perfect place for her shop. She frowned, looking at the jungle that surrounded the main town. Too bad she couldn't set up shop outside of the safe zone. She always found the jungle dangerously beautiful. I wonder if I'll ever be able to visit a place like this in the real world, she thought to herself.

Well there was no more time for thinking about the future as soon as she found a corner of the town where the walls that surrounded the area were lower. There was also a perfect wooden shop that had a view of the jungle over the walls. It would be perfect, Violet decided, a proud smile across her face. She turned to Dahlia and asked, "What do you think girl." Dahlia roared happily and rubbed her cheek on Violet's leg. "I suppose that's a yes then."

  20. Dahlia could tell that Violet was frustrated as soon as the woman stepped out of the shop. The leopard looked up at Violet, her eyes asking "What's wrong?" Violet smiled down at her companion and gave her a quick pet on the head. "Well, things didn't go so well in there. I pretty much just made a uselessly enchanted weapon." She sighed and sat down on a bench. Dahlia jumped up on the bench and laid down, putting her head on Violet's lap comfortingly. Violet continued to pet the leopard, a small smile on her lips. "Though, I guess now we can set up a shop of our own." She looked up at the sky, trying to think of where to go... What would be the perfect place for her and Dahlia? Suddenly, Violet jumped up and started racing towards the teleporter.

"Come on, Dahlia! We're going to the sixth floor!" she yelled behind her. Dahlia sleaked close behind, happy that Violet's mood had improved.

  21. Once she had found Billy's shop again, Violet joined the boy in the small shop. "Alright, teach me how to do this," she ordered as she laid the items she had found down.

"Oh, these are quite wonderful indeed! In fact, you even managed to find a perfect! Congratulations," the NPC boy started. Violet tuned the formalities out up until the bit where he began to explain how to identify one of the items of her choice. Then she began to listen carefully.

She quickly yet carefully pulled the perfect dagger from her inventory and went to work at identifying it's specific enchantments. She hoped they would be something unique and advantageous.

Soon, after concentrating and figuring out the enchantments, Violet had a perfect dagger with two accuracy enchantments and one paralyze enchantment. She frowned. Absolutely useless for her type of build. She sighed and got up, thanking Billy quietly, and left the shop.

  22. After some more time spent searching, Violet found the last item dug into the bark of a thick tree. With a bit of effort, she pulled the dagger out and noticed the exquisite design on the handle of the item. Though the handle was small, the deep red sparks going through the metal handle looked like red lightning strikes. She knew which item she planned on identifying first. "Alright, Dahlia, time to head back," she said as she put the weapon back into her inventory carefully.

The two trekked the hour back to the main town of the third floor. Upon reaching the teleporter, Violet said, "Town of Beginnings," and the pair were whisked back to the town where they had started their day. As soon as Violet had materialized on the first floor, she took off in a hurry for the ram-shackle shop where the NPC Billy was waiting.

Found T1 Perfect Dagger [ID: 135633]

  23. The search continued after finding the first item. After only 15 more minutes of searching, Dahlia came upon a sharp, shiny object. She meowled to get Violet's attention. The woman quickly jogged over to where Dahlia had her nose stuck deep into some low plants. "Huh, looks like its another dagger," she said as she picked up the item and brushed the dirt off of its shiny blade. "Good condition too. Must not have spawned her too long ago." She stuck the item into her inventory and carried on looking for the last item she needed to complete the first half of the quest.

As the pair walked along, Violet hoped she would find a trinket or a consumable. Both would be useful in the future on harder quests. Hopefully something in the perfect variety especially. The amount of daggers that were turning up was quite interesting as well. Maybe it was the most common type of item to show up? Or maybe the game had changed the weapons that showed up to daggers as that was the main weapon that she used. Violet shrugged. There were some things she'd never know for sure when it came to how the game worked.

Found T1 Rare Dagger [ID: 135632]

  24. Since Violet had started on this adventure, about an hour or so had passed. Deciding that it was finally time to find the items required for her quest, Violet began to look about. Dahlia did her best to help her companion, but she didn't have the special loot ability that allowed her to increase her companion's chances of finding any loot. Instead, both just looked behind trees and along the ground in hopes that a special armor or item would appear.

Lo and behold, after a few minutes of searching, an uncommon dagger appeared on the ground behind a tree. "Huh. Well that wasn't hard at all," Violet said aloud as she slipped the item into her main inventory. "You know, you'd think they'd try hiding it better than just behind a tree or something." Though that was how it normally was with these searching types of quests. Painfully obvious at times while unreasonably hard at others.
