  1. "Caught me off guard, I'll admit. But clearly you don't know how to fluster me,"

"Gah, you're no fun if I can't scare you," she whined, walking a few steps ahead of him still. She needed to think of some way to fluster him. She sighed and tapped her lip with her right index finger. Hm, a way to fluster a man... She had an idea, but it wasn't appropriate. As she glanced back to check on him and make sure he was behaving, she noticed something up on a tree branch above his head. "Stay," she commanded as she walked over and practically climbed up him. Once she was sat on his shoulders with her legs loosely wrapped around his neck, she reached up and tried to grab an apple from the tree. Her fingers barely graced it, so she reached up with her dagger, giving her the extra few inches to cut it down. Along with it came a piece of bark that could be used as a material for crafting.

She bit into the apple happily. "Mmm, nice and fweshh," she said while munching on it. She paused her eating to say, "Alright, you may continue walking," still perched on his shoulders.

  2.  "Besides, it's a chance for you to play your games on the way, right?"

Violet cheered up at this comment. "Ah! You're right!" She grinned and led the way back to town, still playing with her dagger out of boredom. Along the way, she stopped and looked up in a tree at a family of birds. Hm, I guess there are regular animals and a type of ecosystem in this game. Quite intriguingAfter watching the birds for a few moments, she continued on, humming quietly to herself. Then, without any hint of what was about to happen, she threw her dagger into the trunk of a tree right next to Yukiro's head. She turned around grinning. "How was that for a little bit of fun?" she asked, running over to her dagger. She had to jump to pull the blade out due to the fact that it was lodged at the same height of Yukiro's head (a much taller height than her). She looked up at him, gauging his reaction.

  3. Violet watched Yukiro closely as he slashed the tree. To her surprise, nectar began to flow from the cut in the tree. Oh, so there is unique interaction like this with solid fixtures, she thought.

It was her turn now. She walked up to another tree and slashed its bark away with her dagger, cutting deep into the meat of the tree. It was nothing like cutting living flesh, but it did offer her some satisfaction. She took out a jar from her inventory and collected the sap. "Ah, it seems I'm all finished with gathering my materials. Collect your final one and we'll head back to that old man. I'm ready to be done with this quest." She stretched and yawned once more.

She was a little aggravated that gathering was quicker than fighting in this game. Usually it was well balanced in other RPGs that she had played, but the results could have also been thrown off by her pure luck with her looting. She rubbed her temples, getting a headache from trying to absorb all of this information.

  4. Though I'd rather you didn't kill me."

Violet couldn't help but laugh. "Ah, no. The death won't be quick. I like to play with my prey a little bit first," she said while glancing back at him, a sly grin across her lips. She was glad that he enjoyed the mock attempt of killing him. "Ah, it appears as thought the toy enjoys my bit of fun! How quaint," she said while bending down to gather materials. She knew she could turn her back to him now as he wouldn't be able to kill her. He wasn't that type of person -- which only made it more fun to play with him before she got stronger.

"Ah, look what I found!" she exclaimed as she picked up a white flower. "So pretty." She turned it in the air, looking at the sun shining through its petals before putting it away into her inventory. "That makes me one more ahead of you. Better catch up."

  5. "Though you're welcome to try and take it."

Violet sighed at what he said. "Don't be an idiot. I know I don't have enough power to take it from you." Her voice had a depressed tone to it as she twirled the blade she had in her hand. "This is quite infuriating. In the real world, I could have taken you down with one blow." She stopped walking and looked at the stats above his head. "Now it would take me 50." She began walking once more. "Give or take a few." Sighing once more, she continued on, "Such a dull world. No realism to it at all."

As she was walking, her boot happened to kick something with a little bit of weight to it. She looked down and picked whatever it was up. "Oh, it appears to be that rock you mentioned," she said as she put the item into her inventory. "Two left to go."

"I'll leave what to do next up to you."

To that, Violet responded with, "Well, next we'll continue to gather materials so that I can get the stupid rewards for this quest and level up. Next, you'll accompany me with the rest of the beginner quests as I find you acceptable and fun to play with." By "play with", her tone implied that she meant as if playing with a toy.

  6. "It's just a knife, and you're just starting out. I was irritated by the lack of realism myself. I'd try to simply remove their legs and I'd just do a little damage. Still..."

"It's still annoying," she sighed while tossing the weapon about. A mischievous grin came to her face as he mentioned not dying if your throat was cut. "But where's the fun in that," she commented. Then she watched as he attacked the second boar, curious at the effects his weapon had. "I want a weapon like that. Where'd you get it?"

"There you go. Now you won't targeted for another attack."

"You didn't have to do that," she grumbled. She didn't like being protected or feeling like she was in debt to another person.

After she had finished pouting, she charged the first boar again and stabbed deep into its side. As she drew the blade out, she looked up and saw the enemy's health bar decrease by only 2 points. This is super frustrating. The boar then began to charge for Yukiro. "Watch out," she said casually, glancing over his way.

  7. Violet laughed as the man missed. "Ah, so it's the game affecting us then?" She grinned. "Well, let's see if the game tries to hold me back again." She paced around the boars, stalking them. Then in one swift movement, she dashed towards the second boar and struck it down before it could move again. She slashed across its back, creating a gash in the creature. However, she didn't expect for the animal to attack back. "Agh!" She let out a yell -- more out of surprise than from pain -- as the boar rammed into her chest with its tusks. She fell backwards and managed to roll out of the way of another attack. She nimbly jumped back up and jogged back over to Yukiro. "Your turn again," she said while staring at her dagger. She seemed distracted by the object in her hand. It did so little damage that it was beginning to annoy her.

  8. Violet frowned and glared at Yukiro when he disobeyed her command, but then she started to laugh. "So I guess you aren't a sheep after all. Good. Sheep are boring to play with." She smiled genuinely up at him. "Now it's my turn."

She raced forward, her dagger held out in front of her. As she approached the second boar, it began to run away. She attempted to lash out and get one of its back legs but it was too slow. That smile quickly turned into a frown. "Darn it," she cursed as she stared down the boar. "You got lucky you over-sized piece of bacon." She turned back to Yukiro, her face serious. "Show me what else you can do."

She was upset and slightly embarrassed that her first move hadn't hit the target, but he would never let him see those emotions. She would take out all her rage in her next attack instead.

  9. "... I'm glad you're enjoying this. Let me know if I can make it better for you."

"I mean, you could let me hunt you for fun," she replied, giggling again. "Though..." She looked up at him, having to recline her neck so far. "I don't think I can reach your neck from here." She frowned. He might have been one of the tallest people that she had met.

She watched him pick up the item and took mental note of it. She spent a moment or two bent down, trying to find any similar rocks, but found nothing. "Ugh, this searching is so boring, but don't worry, we're nearly where I plan to hunt."

After a few more minutes of walking through the grassy forest, they had come upon a small field surrounded by trees. She crouched and held out her arm, blocking Yukiro from continuing. "Stay," she commanded him as she took out her dagger. In front of them were two boars grazing. She was grinning madly, ready to dash out and take one of them out.

  10. Violet frowned. He hadn't reacted like she had hoped. She sighed and jumped up nimbly, stretching after sitting for a bit. "You're no fun," she groaned as she bent back, nearly in half. She spotted a flower and attempted to pick it, but it disintegrated in her hand. "Ugh, so annoying," she said as she straightened back up.

"If you want to fight something there are plenty of boars. Why don't we take a break and go kill one?"

A grin crossed her lips as an idea formed in her mind. "Alright, let's go find some," she said as she walked towards the forest area that surrounded the Town of Beginnings. She motioned and waved for Yukiro to follow her. "You might as well follow along. If I use most of my energy killing boars, then I'll have less to use on killing you~" she teased, laughing at her own comment. She was half joking and half serious at this point.

  11. Violet's ears perked when he said fighting. "Oh, did you get to kill anyone?" she asked gleefully. Though from the way this man looked, she highly doubted that he had seen the life drain from anyone's eyes due to his own hand. He kind of looked like he would be scared of a cockroach if it came running towards him.

"Is there anything you want to do while we're out here?"

Violet leaned back and stared up at the sky. "Hm, well I do want to kill a few things. I don't want my skills to get rusty." She laughed as she pulled out her dagger and began to throw it around, catching it as it fell. At one point she caught it and lunged at Yukiro, stopping mere inches away from his face. "What about you?" she asked, still poised in that position. She had a wide grin on her face, enjoying this.

  12. Violet tilted her head at the explanation. What an odd way for this all to work, she thought to herself as she attempted to pick one of the flowers. Instead of shattering in her hand like Yukiro's had, it stayed whole. "Ha, got one," she said as she put the flower into her inventory.

She saw Yukiro kneel down. She squinted at him, weary of his motives, but decided to slowly sit down next to him. "Just don't try anything," she said once she had sat down on the grass beside him. If she let her guard down, she knew he could easily take her out with a move or two.

Then he asked her what she liked to do. "Well, when I wasn't robbing people blind or helping run a gang, I liked to play video games and spar." She didn't want to reveal too much too quickly to this stranger. She turned her head and looked at him. "What about you?"

  13. Violet begrudgingly followed the man. "Thank you," she managed to mumble out. She hated saying the words to someone she just met and who she felt didn't deserve it, but it was the one thing drilled into her head from life in the orphanage. Her knuckles had a phantom stinging pain whenever she thought about the memories. The nuns would lash out with those darn wooden rulers if you didn't say please or thank you or didn't pray, etc. Violet shook her head free of the thoughts.

She took mental note of his name, then stated hers. "Violet Delta Smith. You'd do well to remember it."

She kept a keen eye on the man as they walked, making sure he made no sudden movements. She never trusted anybody right off the bat. Trust was a weakness that could get you killed. While they were walking, she attempted to search for any materials, but found nothing of use.

  14. Violet turned as she heard a voice, her hands up in a defensive reaction. Oh. It's just another player. She checked his level and frowned. Too high to kill for nowshe noted. Then he mentioned that she looked lost. Her frown deepened. "I'm not lost... I'm just taking my time deciding on where to go. I need to get materials for this stupid quest." She slapped the list in her one hand with the other for added emphasis.

He offered his assistance. She was wary. What if he tricked her...? She took a moment to think about it. Well, if he tried to attack her she could run if needed. She hated running, but she wasn't about to fight to the death in a losing battle. "Fine, I'll let you accompany me," she finally said with a cautious tone. "Now, show me where to find these materials." She held the list up for him to see. Ugh, why does he have to be so dang tall... She grimaced.

    @Yukiro

  15. When Violet spawned into this world, she was unsure of what to do, where to go. But now that she had gotten used to it over the years, she had a plan. First thing was to complete the beginner quests so that she could level up and become stronger. That way, she would be able to rise up in the ranks in this world quickly and turn this world and its players into her play thing. She checked the first quest that appeared on her display. "The First Few Lessons Are Free," she read aloud. She laughed. "Nothing is free in this world." She walked over to a sharp with the quest marker over it. "Huh, quaint little place. Wonder how much he has to steal." She smiled mischievously and headed inside.

"Hey, old man. I'm here for that quest or whatever it is you wanted," she said rather rudely.

Zachariah, the old alchemist, greeted her warmly (as was in his programming). "Why hello there, young woman! I am in need of a few materials. Would you be so kind as to go out and fetch them?" He held out a list of materials that he needed.

Violet sighed and snatched the list out of the old NPCs hands. "Alright. But you better pay me." She walked out of the door without another world. Once she was outside, she paused and tried to decide where to go next.

    Profile:

    Username: Violet Smith
    Real Name: Violet Delta Smith

Age: 20 when the game started. Now 22.

    Height: 5’ 3”

    Build: Thin and toned

*Note for the reader: Violet did not kill anyone during robberies or other crimes not intended to kill people. She only killed people when being paid to do hits.

    Backstory:

Violet was originally born Persimmon Gray, but her parents abandoned her shortly after she was born. The orphanage that took her in renamed her Violet Smith. Smith was the generic name given to every child that had no parents that wanted to call them their own.

Life in the orphanage was hard, but Violet learned how to fight dirty at a young age. Other kids would beat her up a few times, but after she wisened up and learned a few tricks from an older kid, she quickly climbed to the top of the pack.

She soon developed a knack for stealing and petty theft. After she turned 18 and left the orphanage, she joined up with a few older associates who she grew up with. She became part of a gang and began to work her way up the ranks once more. Eventually, she began to participate in armed robberies, hits, and other despicable deeds. She loved the danger. She loved the excitement. And she loved every bit of pain that she caused others. After just a short time of being initiated into the gang, everyone knew not to get on Violet’s bad side, or they could be lying in a ditch the next day.

To destress, Violet liked to play violent video games. One day after a good theft, she called dibs on a weird headset that the gang had recovered. She put the headset on and became trapped every since. Many would have wanted to kill her in this state, but Violet had a few allies higher up in the gang, so she was transported quickly to a hospital. They dropped her off outside where nurses found her and managed to hook her up before she died.

At first, when she realized she was trapped in the game, Violet panicked. But then she realized that she could kill without the chance of being found out in the real world. She could take so many lives and cause so much pain with little consequence dealt by the cops. Now it was time to start an even deadlier life of crime.

    Virtues:

    1. Honorable: Now, honor and criminals may not sound like two things that go together, but there is actually a subtle honor code amongst those in gangs and those involved in illegal acts. If you save someone’s life, they owe you there’s in return. If you run a burglary, you get first dibs on the best stuff. If you are merciless, then you gain the respect, fear, and loyalty of those around you.

    2. Animal-Lover: Though it is quite uncommon for sociopaths and psychopaths to like animals, Violet seems to be that one exception. If anyone hurts an animal, she’ll make sure that they suffer the same fate — if not a worse one. Her favorite animal is the cat. She likes how quiet and independent it can be. It also reminds her of herself: lithe and sneaky.

    3. Knack For Thievery: To say that Violet was good at stealing and crime would be an understatement. She had an absolute knack for picking locks and scoping out locations with little to no surveillance. Lady luck seemed to follow her around as she had never been caught in a crime. She knew when to break it off and what to take.

    Flaws

    1. Sociopath: As you can probably tell by reading this far, Violet has little to no regard for most other humans’ lives. She has been called to do hits before on a few occasions, and she does them efficiently and quickly. She’s also dealt in more heinous crimes and derived pleasure from them. When she was born, there was something twisted inside of her, and it never fixed itself.

    2. Disrespectful/Rude: Violet will not respect you right off the bat. You have to either be her superior or gain her respect somehow. Now how to gain her respect is a tricky thing. You can’t try to kiss up to her, or she’ll never respect to you. You could try to be honorable to her, or you could try to show as much lack of regard for human life as she does. Either way, it’s a tricky thing to go about earning even a hint of her respect. As long as you do not earn it, she will treat you like garbage.

    3. Love to Harm: This would be considered a flaw to most people, but it brings great pleasure to Violet. She loves ruining people’s days or lives (depending on her mood). You better stay out of her radar if you want to live anything close to a peaceful life.
