Heels clopped against the few cool stones of Coral's teleportation gate. It had been so insanely long that the Pink Paladin couldn't even begin to put her finger on a date. Being trapped within a dungeon for so long with nothing but the thorns on your back did quite the number on one's sanity. Yuki would only be left with her own thoughts while monsters would take countless ages to die to transcendent aura. With a heavy sigh and a quick re-evaluation of her outfit and new look, the pink haired girl would look in the direction of her beautiful home. How she missed the place, and the one who resided in it: Crozeph.
Based on her friends list, Crozeph was still alive and currently inside her house. The poor thing... He must be worried sick about her. That's feeling of losing contacts in dungeons was hitting even harder the more she approached her humble, Japanese themed home. Upon approaching the outside gate, the girl would open the door and step inside quietly as she could. She didn't want to alert Crozeph to her grand reappearance too early. She had spent some time out of the dungeon to get a little change done. A new outfit, a new hair style, the entire works. Despite her current feelings, she needed to see Cro with a smile on her face, not a drudging painful look.
As she approached the door, her body shook uncontrollably. An overwhelming amount of joy, excitement, anxiety and sadness welled up on her all at once. Somehow, despite wearing heels, she managed her balance and approached the door. Cro might hear the approach as the heels of her shoes clicked on the wood. Three soft knocks would surely get his attention, in any case. "Cr-Crozeph? O-Open... the door. Please." Unable to hold herself this time, the girl would fall to her knees in front of the door, smile on her face, tears on her cheeks as she awaited his appearance in the door frame.

The Pink Paladin gazed quietly on the column in the distance. A step on the stairway to heaven, so to speak. Soon the frontliners would be converging to clear the path to the next floor. Then they could repeat the cycle there. What felt like an endless cycle of despair and a fruitless endeavor. She would be rejoining them sooner rather than later. After all, how could she ignore the call to arms when she had the power to protect so many others so long as they stood behind her. With a sigh, the paladin stood from her seat in town and made her way back to the teleporter terminal to go back home.
Little did she know just who she would run into there. A certain feisty, blue haired tank and her guild leader of all the possible people to run into. They were standing by the teleporter, so it was practically impossible for them to miss her. As she approached, she would wave her hand. "Yo.." She said somewhat quietly. "Are you guys scouting out the floor now?"

Darkness. Just like what had enveloped everyone in that boss fight, the shadows surrounded the paladin. Once a burning star of passion and light, was now dimmed to nothing but a dying flame. Night had fallen under this warrior's beautiful day.
In the mind of others, there was nothing to be other than celebration. They had defeated yet another floor boss and had made progress in reaching the end of this hellish nightmare that was forced upon them. In Yuki's eyes, she could only fear the things to come after The Shadow's fight. Things became dangerous and she had dropped so close to her own death. Even after weeks of taking a long deserved break, Yuki couldn't help but feel unease when she looked at her armor. Would it really be enough to protect her against the upcoming bosses? Or, would she meet her end here in a world where she hasn't seen her family in nearly a decade.
Tears streamed down her face as she recalled those waiting for her. She was scared, nay terrified, of never getting to see their smiling faces when she finally made it out. The few things keeping her going was her family and Crozeph. Needless to say, she would have to make her decision. Would she continue to fight alongside the front lines as their shining shield, or would she continue to recluse here in her room like a cockroach, too afraid to look upon the light ever again?

Stepping off the platform of the teleportation terminal, Yuki took in the air of the lower floors. Nothing quite matched the cool breeze of fall on floor 22 where she lived, but it's not like she was complaining or anything. The moment she came off the platform, she could see Starla there waiting for her.
"Oi, good to see you again." Yuki said with a slight small as she always wore. Though, before they could get started, she wanted to clear the air a little. The altercation between them had hit a climax that Yuki hadn't meant to strike. "I apologize for my insensitive approach towards your aspirations. Instead of steering you clear of the front lines, I should be helping you properly prepare yourself for the upcoming grind you're about to endure. I hope you can forgive me."
Yuki felt bad about what happened, mostly because she acted so out of character. Her actions stomped on the hopes of someone just looking to become stronger.

With the fall of the Shadow, Orgoth had proclaimed that the players clear out the remaining enemies of the battlefield. With them still active the shadow's storm was still affecting the area. Plenty of the front liners had already taken to jumping cross-party to finish of the stragglers now that the immediate danger of the Shadow himself had passed. Thankfully too, as Cordelia and Beat had seemed to have gone completely docile and unresponsive since the beginning of the boss fight. It was Yuki's job to protect those who stood behind her shield, but they made it rather difficult for her when they weren't willing to be her sword in return.
Nevertheless, Beat had gotten himself out of harms way and now that Shadow was no more, Cordelia should be easy enough to keep safe. With her massive spear, Yuki turned to the singular remaining Shadow on the field. Though her target proved more elusive than she had originally thought. It slipped just barely by her polearms berth.

The moment the assailants had taken the Jailer of the damned to glass half empty, her cup was refilled. The previously orange bar collecting damage shot straight back up into a brilliant green. The ability in affect was clear. The team would have to free her prisoners should they want to come out of this battle with alive.
Yuki stepped forward, getting ever so close to the frozen block that held Hel completely still. The golden glow of her radiant aura bolstered by her valorous horn had become even brighter against the shimmering frozen block. With just a thought, that aura continued to grow even stronger. Yuki's presence was now so unmistakably hard to ignore that her enemy wouldn't be able to think about anything but her, like a moth to a forbidden lamp.
"Everyone focus on freeing the soldiers, as Baldur said. I will not allow her to harm any of you when she is released from this block of ice." Yuki echoed Baldur's advice. The confidence of a tank in their abilities would set their party members at ease. As long as they were safe, Yuki would deal with any punishment Hel could dare dream of.

Yuki's grin widened with Night's answer. All things considered, it was fairly obvious who she would ask for such a job regarding her wedding. No one else fit the place of being her maid of honor. "It probably went without saying, but I thought it would be best to formally ask you, of course. This is an experience I never thought that I would be able to go through in this hell, but I'm glad that I have friends here with me that are rooting me on. It's a foe that not even I could raise a shield to." Yuki admitted. "Planning things was never my specialty, and even if it's not yours I think our collective ideas will help make it a wonderful experience for everyone."
With a tug of the line, Yuki finds herself another decent catch. Silence falls between the two as she slips the little fishie into her inventory. Yuki then turns back to her best friend. "I'm lucky to have someone as great as you in my life, Night."

Yuki glossed over the things that Crozeph said, seemingly unperturbed. She was totally aware that she was not able to protect literally everyone from literally everything, but so long as she stood before her enemies her friends would not suffer.
Or so she thought. Before her action came off cooldown and she could activate howl to get the attention of the Shadow once more, he used his chain to bind Crozeph as he'd done with her. She turned to the shackle and raised her lance, now infuriated. Cro could take a hit, but no way was she allowing him to stay like that.
Raising her lance in a glowing pink glorious hue, she rammed the sharp end into the shackle, tearing apart the link between him and the enemy. "Don't worry Cro, I'll get you out of there!" The paladin screamed, watching the cooldown timer move slower than it ever has before.

Although she hadn't given it a 100% clean that she could be proud of, Yuki would hate to keep him waiting. All things considered, she didn't have much of a right to just start cleaning his place anyway, but it had at least given her something to think about other the floor boss. Placing the rag she had at one end of the counter, she would take a seat across from where Endilix had setup the food.
"Ittadakimasu." The girl would say in her native tongue, which Endilix would hear as 'Thank you for the meal' if his translation settings were on. Taking one of the kabobs, the paladin would nibble into the meat slowly, seemingly to get a good feel of the flavor and passion that her chef here had put into the meal. Not bad at all. It's not like she herself was an authority on perfect cooking, but after you take culinary for years, you tend to pick up on these sort of things. "This is actually good. Yakitori isn't something I make too often myself. The flavors are mixed together very well. If you can impress a culinary major with your food, you could impress just about anyone." She attempted to offer him a little flattery to help cheer up his mood. The food likely wouldn't hold a candle to her own dish, but it had it's own distinct taste thanks to the one who cooked it. That's how a good chef learned to adapt their own cooking.

"Having an assistant with cooking makes things extremely easier yes. I would love your company for my wedding." Yuki thought on it more, wondering how she should ask her next question. NIGHT would probably make a big deal out of it, all things considered. Probably try to convince her that there's someone better for the job. At this point, the paladin had decided to take her eyes off the bobber. Nothing was biting anyway, or so she thought. The moment she turned away, the bobber bounced against the calm surface of the water. Yuki pulled it out along with the fish.
After recasting her line, the pinkette would look to her best friend. "Hey, NIGHT?" She started, wondering if there was a good way to phrase this without surprising her too much. "Would you care to be... my Maid of Honor?" She asked a big smile on her face. "I don't think there's anyone more suited for that job than you, after all."

Within a moment, everything was going to shit. Without those of higher hate values to take the hit, Yuki was the one left to take the next shackle. The chains would slam her back to the ground and wrap her to the floor unable to move. As she struggled against the stun effect, the golden glow of her aura began to disappear reaffirming that she was no longer the main target. The mechanic had lowered her hate value and others were targeted in the attack.
The moment the Paladin was free, she stood to her feet. She knew the people here would be fine taking a single hit, but she wouldn't let them suffer with her still standing. "I appreciate the words Cro, but I have a job to do right now." The paladin says ushering her soon-to-be out of the way to return to the fight.

Crozeph triumphant attack on the Shadow left a pretty gruesome mark, but Yuki knew exactly what was about to happen. She needed to move in there and steal the control over the hate before he got targeted. Yuki's golden lance lit ablaze with ambition, a spear of destruction sure to get the attention of their target. This battle was long and arduous but with a little more adversity, the front liners would see victory.
Soaring past her betrothed, the pink glow of her lance let out an explosive power as it collided with the Shadow's form. She would back off quickly before he could restrain her the same way her tank allies were. "Crow." She called to her fiance. "Make sure you're staying behind me. We can't afford for you to get tangled up in attacks like those."
She wanted this to be over with already. All she wanted now was to go home and rest.

The quiet night with her soon-to-be left the paladin in a deep slumber. When he shifted out of the bed, she merely repositioned herself to get comfy on her own. He would speak lightly, slowly waking her up more as her brain had to process and react to what he was saying. "mmm. I'm trying to sleep." The girl complained as the man crawled back into bed with her. His arm wrapped around her midsection and gave her a soft peck on the forehead.
"Let me sleep a little longer dangit." The girl said as she slowly started falling back asleep again. Drifting off in his arms, she couldn't help but think of everything she's been through with him so far. They'd leveled up so fast and now Night was banning her from doing anything related to leveling up for however long it took for her to calm down. She felt like all this would make her too restless.

For Yuki, cleaning was a good was to unwind and relax even if it didn't seem like it. With all the things she's been through, it was pretty low on the list of things that stressed her out with like double damage over time effects and the boss fight being at the top.
By the time Endilix had gotten started with the cooking, Yuki had already cleaned most of the tables. Hopefully he wouldn't get upset with her intrusion. If he was, he at least didn't voice it to her. What he did voice was if she had a preference on her drink here. All things considered, she had a pretty wide range when it came to taste so it wouldn't matter much to her. "Something sweet is fine by me, or even just water." Mikoto stated without turning her attention from the cleaning that she was doing. A slight moment passed as she wondered if Crow might get annoyed that she was hanging out with other men.

Night's quietness to her explanation made Yuki wonder if the two of them struck a nerve with one another. They didn't seem like two people who could easily get along without a mediator like herself to keep them from biting at each other's throats. As Night pulled another fish up from the water, Yuki was beginning to wonder why she herself didn't have any luck whatsoever. "Man, the fish don't really seem to like me today, hunh?" She said, giving the rod a slight wiggle to hopefully catch the attention of an on-looking fish. Still no dice.
Then Night brought up their wedding. Yuki smiled a little. "It's not been on my mind much at all with everything else going on. I can't be at my wedding if I get myself killed in the boss fight y'know?" The paladin explained, most likely to Night chagrin. The words she spoke were the truth at least. "I'm going to work on it the coming days of the floor being cleared. It'll take the frontlines some time to find the next boss room anyway."
Yet her knight was quick to start offering her ideas. "Oh no, definitely no on the floor where we met. I don't find being surrounded by ash and lava would make for a great wedding ceremony. Probably in my home with a Japanese style theme. I want to be cooking for it so that'll just make it easy."

Yuki couldn't help but grin as the duo moved into the shop. It wasn't the best kept place she'd been to but it surely wasn't the worst. Some of the regular NPC shops she'd been to were just awfully well kept. You'd think that for a system they'd at least have some programming to clean the damn place up. Endilix's quick cleaning and offering of the chair got the paladin wondering if she should help him clean up really quick. It seemed as though her play of savior was really getting to him. Maybe it would be best if she didn't do anything.
Yet still, she wasn't one to sit down restlessly and relax. Her break only meant that she stop blasting through all these damn quests and take her life one step at a time again. She would grab a rag and look around the room. Endilix would ask her what she would like to eat. "Make me your favorite lunch food. Meanwhile, let me help you clean this place up a little." Yuki said as she began to work through the dusty wooden structures in the building and clean them off. Although it might look like she was going fast, she was simply akin to the cleaning with a soon-to-be like Crozeph. Although it didn't bug her to clean up after him, she never realized how much she did.

Her body weak from overwhelming emotions, Yuki couldn’t do much more than cry. The happiness she felt had brought her to tears in an instant. The two of them haven’t talked in so long and she felt so bad for it. Her small arms wrapped around him as his wrapped around hers. “I’m sorry… I… Had to get out and think about some things after everything that had happened. I accidentally stepped into a dungeon and I’ve been stuck inside of it for awhile… admittedly…” It was embarrassing to think that she would allow herself to be caught out by something so easily avoidable but she’d made worse decisions consciously. “Thankfully it wasn’t a very high leveled one but it still took some time to get out. I can’t message others outside the dungeon which is why I’ve never answered your messages.”
The pink haired girl would life herself to her feet and stretch herself slightly. Looking passed Crozeph, she would see her warming home then look back at Crozeph. “I know I had a lot stored in the fridge, but you’ve probably been through a lot of the same stuff, huh? Let’s go inside and I’ll make us something to eat that we can talk over.” The paladin would say as she took his hand and pulled him inside to the kitchen that she was so used to.
