  1. Just as soon as the paladin goated on her adversary she felt the repercussions of her actions. His blade tore through her shoulder, sending a spike of pain to remind her that death could be imminent. Casseur felt heavy in the numb pain of her shield arm. “Dammit… Critical hits…” The paladin groaned. The risk of death was growing higher now that she could possibly be dropped to 0 if he hit another critical like that. She could reach in get another attack in but playing the defense was way more important. The paladin back stepped from swinging distance and prepared herself for the upcoming
  2. The paladain covered her eyes from the up-tide of sand and wind that threatened to blind her. Up to this point, Belregor had failed to hit her more times than he's hit her. How much damage had she missed out on because the boss sucked too much to actually land an attack? "Come on now, you can't be serious!" Tendrils of threat tore through the other tanks but she was left untouched from the destruction. "You're supposed to hit ME!" The anger in Yuki's voice was new even to her husband. It wasn't often that the pink paladin lost her temper but when her thorns found no results she couldn't h
  3. The bleak scene before her of Belregor's attack would have been interesting to watch if she wasn't busy figuring out the perfect time to dodge. Her feet were ready to carry her away from waves of darkness. It was a feat that looked like it might obliterate them all here and now, even herself. However, Crozeph's voice came from behind her, as if he was in her shadow all along. That got a chuckle out of Yuki. "Right. I'm not impressed though. My light shines through any darkness." Her words came out as Mina blessed them with a damage buff, only intensifying her radiant aura. She exclaime
  4. The battlefield was roaring now. Several people we're laying into the boss before being swung away by what she could only assume was raw force. Her lance dug into the sand to keep her from going too far. Resistance from the sand kept her dragging though, kicking up sand like a smokescreen around a pink-porcupine. Once it all cleared, her eyes raced to find the enemy. They were flying now, great. Next, her eyes followed to the party around her. Everyone seemed fine but... where is Freyd? Now that she took a moment to look Freyd wasn't even in her party anymore. Panic would have ensued if s
  5. The paladin stood resolute in the face of darkness. Her radiant flames would match even that of Belregor's attempts to cast shadows amongst the group. Fire danced around her lance wrapping into a tornado of heat as she thrust it forward. Perhaps that flashy move was a little too much though seeing as the fire found nothing to burn. Much to her frustration, she was not the only one having difficulty finding purchase with their weapon and still he tried to tool them. Quite honestly, Yuki was glad that Freyd was a keen ally. Her perceptive eyes only amounted to anything when they were focuse
  6. With her menu open to get ready, Yuki watched as Arabelle's messaging indicator alerted her that typing was happening on the other end of the screen. She must have really been giving it a hard a think on what she wanted. Perhaps she had overloaded her with too many choices and put a little bit of analysis paralysis pressure on her. Thankfully, the scythe-wielder would finally press enter after some deliberation though. Rice crackers? Admittedly, she was a bit surprised on that choice but she did have some senbei available. Some people just preferred the simpler tastes. Once she ensured th
  7. The Paladin watched as the boss turned from Mina, back to the black armored monster he was, then his form seemed to cave in around her vision. A brief moment of panic began to set in as the memories of her near death experience was recreating itself. Her eyes moved around her HUD since the only thing she could see was that. A heartbeat pumping while she desperately searched for the boss. Her eyes flashed pink as she activated her Night Vision mod but it really only allowed her to see her hand in front of her face. Luckily, though, it was enough. A red glare appeared in her vision, only fa
  8. Yuki shook her head to clear her thoughts a little and took a sip of her tea. Her mind was struggling a bit now, scared to be as insensitive as she just was yet again. “Well, I guess the boss wasn’t really the scariest spot… I had just never gotten so close to death before.” The girl took a bite of her food, too focused on the conversation to really care if Mari was eating much as long as she enjoyed the food. “I had thought I was practically untouchable then. I still brag about how tough I am because I want it to uplift people. I don’t want others to be scared.” Mari then assured the pal
  9. The paladin enjoyed her own meal talking between a couple bites and listening to Mari. She didn’t really have company all that often any more, at least company that didn’t want her to stand between them and a monster. Yuki nodded along as Mari validated her relationship. “I don’t care if other might think its insensitive between partners or whatever. No one has said that to me yet but I know in my heart he’s the one I love.” In regards to her status now as a front-liner, Yuki’s nervously chuckled. Her mind immediately went to how lost she had gotten in the 25th floor’s maze, then back to
  10. Another day of practicing her craft, Yuki had just preheated the oven when the messages reached her. She groaned slightly thinking that the messages were from Crozeph getting lost in her cabinet again. Before she’d even check the message her hand went to the pantry door. Well, pantry was something of an understatement. It was more akin to a bomb shelter’s worth of food that Yuki had made and put away for later. The door groaned as she yanked it open. Some items fell onto the ground nearby the door but no Crozeph. Of course, he must be lost somewhere so she opened the messages and was actu
  11. Now that Yuki had gotten her feet wet once more she was ready to start clearing some of these quests that she'd not gotten to since her hiatus. When Morningstar -- her new guild leader -- sent her a message letting her know that he was looking for some able bodies on a quest she jumped on the offer. She was there practically within minutes but even still so many others had already beaten her there. Either they were that much faster than her, or they were already hanging around. She recognized practically every face here and was confident this stupid not-so-little crustacean was going t
  12. The paladin would quickly pour Mari a cup of tea and deliver it to her. It wasn't a special brew or anything. Despite being a gourmet, she tended to enjoy the simple tastes more than the invasive and odd ones many in her craft her attempted. She would set it carefully on the kotatsu in front of Mari and head back to her cooking station where the final touches to the food came along while they continued the chat. "I'm too excitable and headstrong, Cro is a free spirit that I refuse to lock in a cage. We both always end up back to each other once in awhile and those moments are always better whe

  14. The paladin rushed quickly along the sand to get the boss to turn away from the group. A tactic that just made it easier for everyone. If the boss had a surprise cleave then no one but her got caught in it by accident and they didn't have to take the scenic route to stay out of his vision. His vision was now solely pink! That blade would find purchase on the paladin's shield -- which happened to be her left-handed gauntlet -- and stopped quicker than a car crashing into a steel wall. The smile faded quickly from the tank's face as she saw her health bar, which just as quickly jumped to 10
  15. In her nervous ranting Mari, would soon get her to stop and assure the pink-ette that she was here because she wanted to be. The paladin would let out a relieving sigh and take a deep breath while she focused on finishing her food preparations. She would portion each plate carefully, including a larger bowl with more if such was necessary. The comment of Mari's whereabouts would slip right through the airhead's ears for a moment, the request for a drink was more important than that information. "Of course, how rude of me to not offer you a drink. Which do you prefer?" Yuki would listen for a r
  16. The short message from Mari instantly made her even more nervous. Her tendency to overthink things was match only by the sheer confidence she had in how impervious her armor made her. With a guest now coming over, and soon, Yuki was now pressed for time. She would immediately head to her kitchen and get started with cooking something simple: Karaage and rice with a side salad. Amidst the panic to get something ready before her company showed up, a knock on the door would catch her ear despite the two walls between her and her front door. Mari would hear a couple of hurried footsteps befor
  17. The boss battle was slowly encroaching on the front-liners. Yuki was simply waiting for the call. However, some small talk with Baldur had revealed that a person she once leveled with in her early days was back from a sort of hiatus, or at least she had not had the chance to speak with them in years now. Her eyes were locked on the menu in front of her with their profile pulled up: Mari. After some time pondering if she would even give Yuki the time of day -- not that she thought she hated her -- she decided to start typing up a message. "aaaand seeeend." Her nerves were setting i
  18. Yuki stepped on to the beach to meet with her party just moments before Belregor rose from the waters like he was doing his best Lochness Monster impersonation. The grin on her face was one that might be out of place if it was worn by anyone but her. She listened to Mina's impassioned speech, reminiscent of the speech she would give to people who partied with her for leveling. "The boss will have to go through two titanium walls if it wants to kill one of you. Play it safe and stay out of the way of the one with the most aggro on the boss to reduce any avoidable cleaves hitting you. Other than
  19. The paladin would nod in agreement with Ciela about the food, taking the portion of food that she allocated for Yuki. "Oh, I agree. I'm actually working on a culinary major in university outside of Aincrad. I do a lot of practice to keep up with it here." The paladin would reach into her pocket and pass the knightess a roll of sushi, wrapped so aesthetically pleasing it could make one's mouth water. If Ciela took a moment to taste it, it would be extremely spicy but have a very pleasant aftertaste. "So Ciela and Wulfrin... Oh! I forgot -- My name is Yuki, sorry I almost forgot!" When Yuki
  20. The paladin yawned heavily as she received the late night message. Couldn't they ever decide to message all the frontliners at noon or something? Oh well, her duty called. Time to keep all those frontliners alive. She was sure they could handle themselves without her but having more bodies, especially those who specialize a tank definitely wouldn't hurt. So the Paladin showed up at the assigned meet spot at the allocated time. Some people had beaten here there. A few who were in her party too. Of course Freyd was already here, he was in her party this time as her off-tank. He brought with
  21. The paladin sheathed her lance once the fight was basically over. Between her armor melting any enemy in a five meter radius and NIGHT’s sword destroying them from the inside out they stood no chance. Night’s comment had brought the thoughts to her mind. It wasn’t something she really considered while they rushed their way through the game. “I guess. The Shadow created a lot of chaos for almost everyone in Aincrad. Maybe it was totally on purpose too. Y’know, since it was like the one-fourth mark of the game or something.” The best she could do was speculate off the top of her head. Her
