  2. Taken aback by the shopkeep's reaction to her, Yuki blushed slightly. Did that many people really know about her? She didn't feel like she should be famous for anything, nor did she know that was even going to happen. Looking at the book with her picture in it, she couldn't help but wonder when this picture was taken or who even took it. Not to mention why they had it in the first place. Is that what being an idol feels like? Not really her cup of tea. Nevertheless, she would sign 'Zajcica' in English cursive on the paper.

    "Uh, there you go." She stood awkwardly. "I don't mean to press the matter to the side, but I really need those materials."

  3. An event happening on floor ten? That's where Crozeph's store was. Hopefully nothing would wreck his shop, that would be awful. At any moment, a mob could destroy her home since it's outside the safe zone and events made things so unpredictable.

    There were a number of people that she could bring along, like Raidou, but Yuki hadn't seen Night in awhile. She hoped that she was getting along okay. After all, she was the one who wanted her to take a break from everything. The paladin was ready to get back into the grind though. Another person who came to mind was Baldur. Him and Crow were good friends, so it would be rude to not invite him as well.

  4. It had been a minute since she had seen Freyd. Last time they talked, she was being something of a dick to him to be honest. The grudge that she had with that field boss ran deep, and thankfully, she had gotten over it. She would never be able to look at a snake again without shuddering though.

    Walking into Freyd's shop, she wanted to keep everything as brief as possible. The need for crafting was more important now than ever with the floor boss looming it's metaphorical shadow over their heads. Walking up to the counter of the store, Yuki gives Freyd a smile. "Heya Freyd, I'm in need of materials and I'm a little too lazy to go grinding mobs for them today. Can you get me some please?" She asked, setting the order amount on his counter. Her handwriting was actually beautiful too.

  6. Out of respites, out of stock, out of food. Yuki had ignored her job as a cook for too long. If she didn't get back into it, who was going to feed the frontlines? Crozeph? Hell no is she letting him cook them lizard and frog guts or some gross dish like that. She loved him but sometimes she wanted to puke when he brought up cooking live animals.

    Walking to the doors of Cintimani, she noticed a familiar face. Andromeda, the identifier of a grinder's dreams. She gave the girl a confident wave as she hurried along. Following through the door, she was met with Bistro, who she had seen before when she came to buy potions. It seemed like someone had cleared the stock of respites from her shelves unfortunately, but four should be more than enough to get her back into the groove of cooking. She can always come back down later and get more.

    Taking the four vials to the counter, the paladin opened her menu and plopped a clean sack of col onto the counter for the brewer. "That's all I need, thank you!"

  8. Yuki was never one to get nervous, but confronting an enemy she can't deal with head on was one way to get her anxiety going. Baldur was a good friend to Crozeph and while she could easily show off her prowess as a tank on the battlefield, she wasn't sure how to present herself to Baldur. He seemed well engrossed with her culture, so hopefully if she just stayed her usual self, no one would have objections.

    Donning the beautiful pink kimono that she was accustoming herself to at this point, the paladin took a few deep breaths and headed through the sliding door that lead into the kitchen. She quickly made sure that the restaurants doors were locked up and hung a sign. "Private Party for the night. Shop will be open in the morning. -Zajcica"

    Walking over to the conjoining dining room and kitchen, Yuki smiled at Baldur. "Thank you for your kind words of my estate. Make yourself at home and let me know if there's anything that you need."

    Recalling Baldur wanting to taste Yuki's favorite dish, she realized that she didn't really have one. She loved all kinds of food thanks to her mother's influence. Enjoying spending time with her was one of the reasons that she loved it so much. That being said, she still had to pick something. The first thing that came to mind was noodles, but that was too bland. She needed to really surprise them with something amazing. That's when the idea of a steak meal would pop in her headKobe Steak.

    With her mind made up, the paladin got started cooking. "How do you boys like your steak, and would you like sauce?" She asked without even looking up from her work.

  12. On it's last breath, the hound of hell, the Cerberus was brought to it's knees by a mere 59kg shrimp of a woman that was tougher than titanium. It effortlessly clawed her chestplate to no effect. Doing leagues more damage to itself than it had done to her. Following up on her partner's damage Yuki raised her mighty lance and pierced the hound directly through it's face. With a twist of the spear and a single slash, the Cerberus's body dissolved into nothing but data.

    Yuki returned her lance to her hammer space and sighed in relief. "Man, don't think I've gotten that low on energy in a really long time. That was a lot different than only doing one damage a turn with a sword art." Looking over to Chase, she would offer him a smile. "I don't think you need my teaching after all. You know what you are doing. Our builds are too different too compare. If you want to learn more about your build, I believe a man named Raidou has a similar one. I suggest that you talk with him about it. Oh, and I have one more thing to give you before you leave."

  13. With the damage dealt, the boss was looking for it's two lost legs at this point. Yuki stood defiantly as if nothing could move her if it tried. Even when she was in her attack mode, nothing could stop her. Was the sacrifice of her shield really more beneficial than having it? Perhaps for a quest boss, yes, but for a floor boss, she would need to be at her best, without a doubt.

    The Cerberus wasn't ready to give up, even with the odds against it. It slashed at three times, twice it connected, and two heads fell. With less heads than legs now, the poor boy was carrying more dead weight than Yuki before she maxed her thorns potential. Nevertheless, they weren't finished just yet. Her holy lance absorbed the light around it once more piercing the neck of the remaining head without a problem. It was basically bullying at this point.

  14. With Chase's damage and her follow up, they should be easily able to render one of the heads useless in no time. While the fight before this one was hardly comparable, that didn't mean it was difficult at all. When you put Yuki in front of anything, she was bound to find a way to win, even if it mean bashing her head against the problem until it fixed itself.

    The Cerberus was relentless, blinded by it's rage to murder the glowing light of fire that was the paladin before it. You may as well have been trying to stick your hand into the sun. Even through the Cerberus was able to land a critical, she hardly cared. The second attack dug at it's health bar rather quickly. Her grip on the mighty lance tightened as she reached forward and stabbed the the head with the lowest health. It dropped dangerously low. "Focus the one at half and let that one die on my thorns." The girl called.

  16. The paladin's charge wouldn't be stopped. No point in resting when they'd hardly used any of their energy to begin with. She was going to be burning the entire time that they were fighting so it didn't matter if she was still afflicted with a status effect. Walking through the cavern's opening and into the pools of lava and blackened rock, one could behold the mutated Cerberus. It was walking with it's hindlegs, bipedal but that only meant it had less legs than heads now.

    "Keep up the good work. Let's get on with this." Yuki says as she reaches for her horn one more time. She knew that Chase could take hits, or well dodge them more than anything else, but she was the protector. No matter how much another person could tank, she would always be there to throw herself into the damage for them.

    With her horn blown and the Cerberus focused on her, Yuki stood and waited for the approach. The Cerberus struck twice with it's claws, leaving small scratches on her chest. The burn inflicted could do more than 40 of their attacks in one proc. Not that that would hurt. The heads took respective damage, over a fifth of their health already drained.

  17. ChaseR's comment went through Yuki. She didn't care about dealing damage as much as keeping people safe. It was her secondary role to pull out this lance actually do damage. It kind of confirmed that he was still made about her being a bit moody. This man really knew how to hold a grudge. Although, when it comes to apologies actions speak leagues over words. She hoped that the gift she was about to impart on him after this quest was finished would help ease that bitterness he felt towards her.

    Back to the fight at hand. Yuki gripped the lance with her second hand, a weird feeling for the tank for sure, but a good one at least. The glorious white shinned pink with a holy resonance that matched the sun. Rushing into the fight, the paladin turned on her heel, spinning in a wide arc with her lance out stretched. The frozen hound shattered out of existence on her touch. The other two were mixed results, one dodging and the other taking a hit that couldn't necessarily out-scale Chase's feats. She knew how powerful claymore users were with groups thanks to Night so it was hard to complain. Plus her thorns made up for what she lacked in area of affect anyways. "I'm not a damager, but hopefully that was what you were looking for." Yuki said, stepping in front of Chase to block the claws of the two hounds as they rushed in.
