It hadn't even been a full minute before someone rushed to her and started introducing themself. Before she even had the chance to introduce herself, Yuki was dragged over to meet another lovely lady. Jevi and Minako. Instinctively, Yuki pondered how powerful the two of them were compared to her. Probably several dozen levels higher, right? Jevi had mentioned that Minako was capturing her, but honestly, that's what she had hoped for when she entered this party. She wanted to meet new people!

"Good evening, ladies. My name is Yuki, I understand most people use their usernames to identify themselves, but that, in my opinion, seems unfriendly. She goes for a formal curtsey, which she nearly almost pulled off perfect, but her inexperience with heels almost resulted in her backside to the floor. She wobbled momentarily before regaining her balance, gave the two and awkward smile and scratched the back of her head.

"I have never left floor 1 until now. I'm glad to be moving forward. And, uh, yes... I am indeed only level one if you were about to ask me." Yuki explained, albeit a bit embarrassed to admit it. She figured they'd find out sooner or later, so best to get it out of the way.

The pink-haired knight approached the grandiose tent in awe of its size and grandeur. She had every intention of just marching right in showing her invitation, but unfortunately, she was halted by some men near the entrance.

"You may enter ma'am, but the madam insists on black-tie formal attire only. Wearing your armor and weapons just won't do." They reminded her of the note she had received that had told her the dress code, of course, she had forgotten until they refreshed her memory.

"Ah, right." She said plainly. "You see, I'm fairly new to floors beyond 1 and don't have anything to change into, to be honest."

"No worries, we can provide you with the necessary clothing."

"Splendid!" She said being led off to the side where many dresses and suits were kept for those who couldn't provide their own.

"Does the ma'am need help getting changed? Some of the female staff could hel-"

"No! No need, I'll get into it myself!" She interrupted him, darting into a changing tent with the fancy dress. A deep sigh escaped her lips, and a frustrating amount of minutes later, she stepped out with her armor and weapons in her inventory and in the beautiful black and red dress. Now ready for the Gala, she stepped through into the giant tent, where she was exceptionally fashionably late.

The young girl stepped into the Blazing Typhoon. She had seen the building before and was aware that it was a blacksmith, hence why she originally avoided it. However, she was also aware that the proprietor was nice enough to equip lower level players with good starting gear for a modest fee. She needed good protection before heading into a combat situation. It was life or death after all. Her hair stuck to her neck with sweat. The heat got to her the moment she stepped inside. She approached the counter.

"Oi, Kajiya-san! Good day. There are some things I wish to equip myself with before heading into the field. Would you be willing to take the job?" Yuki said boldly, trying not to look like an absolutely new player. Her gear identified her as just, though, much to her dismay. Nevertheless, she took one of the forms set on the counter and started filling it out.

It’s been years since it began. Even still the events of her first day in Sword Art Online, the virtual prison, were clear in her mind. The terror of being trapped in such a dangerous game with your first death being your only death. She had no idea how to play a game like this, she merely wanted to experience a game in virtual reality. She had feared that her inexperience with these systems would get her killed on the first floor, so she refrained from stepping out of the Town of Beginnings. There the invisible barrier protected them from mobs. 

She had hoped the game would be finished easily. A lot of great MMO players had to have joined the frontlines and it wouldn’t take them long to cut through the floor. Yet more and more people die with every passing day. No more. She won’t stand idle any longer. The young girl passed through the Town of Beginnings to find the beginner's quest she had in her log since the first day. It was time to get started and shape her own future.

History/personality

History: Yuki, previously known as Jun, was born into a small family in Japan. Only her older sister and her parents lived in Japan, the rest of her family lived spread across the world. She hardly had the chance to meet any of this family, as her family didn’t really have the wealth to visit. Another reason being her parents being somewhat afraid to reveal to the rest of the family that Yuki was actually transgender.

Although her parents are completely fine with her choices in life, they are scared of what others could think of her change. Yuki is currently in her second year of hormone treatment and looks like any other girl, however, she still retains the one feature keeping her masculinity bound. She was unable to undergo surgery before becoming trapped in Sword Art Online.

Her life before the game was that of a student. Yuki was in college for culinary skills. Cooking has been an important part of her life.

Personality: Yuki comes off as a generally reserved and quiet person, but more than a few minutes of conversation could easily change a person’s opinion. She actually enjoys company and loves to make friends as much as she can. It was originally pretty hard since most people knew she was transitioning, and some people found it rather off putting. The friends that did remain to this day, however, are some of her best friends. She passes exceptionally well, looking extremely feminine and sounding like any other girl in the game. The only thing that could give her away was if she told a person directly. She doesn’t usually tell people about her past related to hormone therapy, though.

Story so far: It's been three months since Yuki started leveling to join the boss fight. Growing into the molded tank she is now, the paladin has a complex with wanting to protect others. She would be willing to sacrifice herself if it meant that someone else was saved. Since then, she's taken her role as a front-liner extremely seriously and has become dense with purpose.

Virtues/Flaws

Outgoing - Yuki can come across as quiet at first, but she really does enjoy conversation and social interaction. She acts reserved towards new faces, generally keeping to herself until she finds a good time to talk, or she is spoken to. After that, she’ll talk your ear off if you let her.

Encouraging - No matter the situation or occasion, Yuki keeps her head held high. She accepts challenges wherever she goes, pushing her friends or team to continuously do their best. Hardship strengthens the mind and body.

Reserved - Yuki hates being on people’s bad side, so she knows how to keep her cool. She prefers being open with people but is careful about being too strong in the beginning. That being said, she usually remains calm headed in tough situations.

Naïve - Yuki is fairly new to MMO type video games and doesn’t have as much experience with it. Although she does have experience with other types of games, she likely doesn’t have a good grasp on the system as she would with other games. She can also be easily tricked by unscrupulous persons.

Near-Death Experience - Despite the remaining health she had, Yuki has been scarred from a near death experience during a boss fight. After realizing that her usual tank experience was shattered before her eyes, her team froze up leaving her feeling defenseless to the enemy she nearly died to. She is now extremely sensitive to critical player HP in general.

Klutz - Beyond her abilities and reserved demeanor, Yuki is known to be clumsy. She trips under her own feet and slips on solid ground. Even so, she’ll get right back up determined as ever, as if it never happened.

Ophidiophobia - After several awful encounters with snakes, Yuki is now terrified of Snakes. She will lose her cool easily over anything that is serpentine in nature. Don't bring her to boss rooms with snakes anymore, please.
