Megitsune

Gaius's spear cleaved heavily into the Ursa's thick hide with little problem. Much more impressive to see him actually attacking something and dealing some good damage. The battle wasn't finished just yet, as the the bear still lived. It was going to be pretty close, but she would probably be just a little bit short of killing the thing.

"Don't go bossing me around." The girl jokes as she pulls her scythe loose from the bear's back. Still standing atop the beast, she activates her sword art. The black blade of her weapon lit up white-hot with power and dug directly into the Ursa's head. Any any other world, this bear would have died instantly from brain damage, but here it was nothing but a hollow model.

Before she could get the chance to remove her weapon, the bear began to move sporadically in an attempt to shake her off. After some struggling, she finally was dislodged, with her weapon still lodged into the beast's head. Barreling towards Gaius, her body would collided with his if he didn't move.

Oh no, another dance show. Gaius was as terrifying as ever with his stupid tip-toe dance, but maybe he would actually do something if he landed something for once in his life. Megitsune on the other hand, wouldn't miss anything. Rising from her from her seat, the Fox grabs hold of her scythe with both her tiny hands and lets the blade get white hot with power from her sword art.

"Lemme show you how it's done Gaius!" She zoomed past him slashing and spinning into a tornado of death with her weapon. Her damage was nothing compared to someone in the tier above her, but for her level, she was pretty confident that she was one of the strongest players in tier one.

With the damage dealt, the girl moved back a bit to stay out of any unnecessary collateral damage, standing next to Gaius. "Show 'em what you're silly little waltz can do."

The next attack would easily kill the stupid thing. With her energy ticking back for a measly one, that was all she needed to end him. Her muscles unlocked and let her make her strike. The blade collided with the ground, surging rocks from the crack it made. A missed attack again. Her energy bar depleted to zero yet again, leaving her muscles to lock up and not make an attack. Stupid system inhibitors.

"You little [censored]! How much longer are you going to dodge death! Just [censored] die!!" An attempt to move her muscles completely failed. No matter how hard she tried, the system locked her up forcing her to not attack. Yet somehow she could still dodge an incoming attack with ease. Weaving through the undead's arms, white fox groaned in annoyance. "Let me move. Let me move. Let me [censored] move!" She pleased trying to make more attacks.

Just as her energy ticked back up enough to unleash her strongest solo target attack, the blade of her claw flickered up until hit a full blown hot white. Time to end this stupid little brawl. The blade of the weapon pierced through the ghouls chest, taking him on a tornado joy-ride and flinging him several meters back on his ass. Still his health points stopped in the red just barely before it hit zero.

"Are you freakin' kidding me? Just die already you stupid mob! You're barely alive that's bullshit." She groaned about the enemies hp, but still she couldn't find the will to finish up the combat since her energy reserves were too low. Luckily that didn't stop her from dodging the incoming attack it made when it finally found it's footing. She weaved through it's disgusting, rotting claws and grinned, waiting for that sweet moment when she gets some energy just to make a basic attack.

The white hot blade gnashed through every single one of it's targets as Megitsune teared through them with yet another Ordinal Cleave. An effortless attack that was made easily. Only until she realized that she had missed one of her targets even with all the insane accuracy buffs on her right now. 90% chance to hit. Perhaps an Absolute Accuracy weapon could be found in the future that way she wouldn't have this happening. Now she is out of energy and will have to do her best to dodge attacks until it comes back. Well, since there is only a single remaining enemy, she can focus it down with a weaker sword art.

The Ghoul wailed it's barely functional limbs at the Fox, who easily ducked under the attack and shifted to a safer position. Fighting like this wasn't hard at all, she just had to get luck enough that this thing wouldn't hit her with critical attacks more than 7 times in a row.

With her weapon at the ready, Fox weaved through smaller groups of mobs until she found the largest possible spawn grouping of four and charged at them head on. Her black claw hinting with white as the blade readied its next Ordinal Cleave. It gashed through all the enemies before they all even had a chance to react to her assault. Once they all realized they needed to get to work on killing the player that faced them, the all jumped in after her, swinging their decaying limbs at her to make anything work. Luckily the food she invested in would be her greatest boon, allowing her to sidestep and weave out of almost anything the enemies could do. Without it, she would be taking a ton of unnecessary damage and getting close to death. Making a mental note to restock on this evasion food for later dates, the fox readied herself for the next flurry of attacks.

Gaius might be something of an idiot, but once you look past the stupid dancing and his inability to understand what 'making a build' in an MMO game was like, he wasn't all that bad. Getting off to a bad start with him venting his anger on her when she was looking for her familiar might have been annoying, but he had pretty much made up for it by helping her track it down. That idiot would probably get himself killed one day trying to take on something he can't handle. It's pretty lucky that four-eyes, red-coat found him and made him a member of Firm Anima.

As her energy gauge replenished to completely full, the white fox got up off her hide and took her massive weapon in her hands once again. No wasting time out in the field like this, unless she wanted to be fed to the Cardinal database.

Moving her scythe to its holster on her back, Megitsune found some cover and took a seat behind it. Getting into any unwelcome combat now would be bad for her, so laying low was the best option. Mobs moved around the area around her, searching for anything to attack, but luckily the Fox was too sly.

Thinking about it, she could have brought Gaius with her to help her finish off the enemies more quickly, but then she would have to split the spoils with him and all that dumb bullshit. There was also the factor having to watch him to his stupid dance during combat which still proved to be nothing more than a funny little act to her. Only when he showed it was worth while over her battle axe would she truly believe how strong it was to have a dance off with your opponent. Couldn't out damage her if he wanted, though.

The ghouls' health points had fallen just under half the their maximum which is just what Fox wanted to see. Efficiency in her attacks considering she was only able to unleash two of these sword arts before she was out of energy completely. If she missed, there would be a long waiting time between attacks that she wasn't comfortable in seeing. No need to worry about that though. Keeping her eyes focused on the battle, she lit up another Ordinal Cleave.

Her blade lashed through each one of their degrading bodies, splitting them into two pieces each exploding into data behind her. Combat was still as easy as ever for her, but it looks like she would be spending a lot of time standing around waiting for energy to return. That would be rectified with more levels though, moving up in tiers and doing more damage will also help keep her going.

Leaving from the town center, Megitsune couldn't believe that actually owning a house was able to give the player buffs. How the hell did that even work? Not like you could use the utilities at any given moment, but why question it? It was capable of giving her more damage and leaving less waiting between energy recoveries so not really a reason to complain.

It didn't take long to find her location of the cavern. Raidou had already logged the location, so all she needed to do at that point was ask for it. Mobs were around everywhere and all she needed to do was walk up to a group and show them her power.

Before she even got the chance to choose an enemy to attack, Ghouls descended on her quicker than she could ready her weapon. None of them could find their mark, however. Her scythe lit up white and clawed through each every target with ease.

Stepping off the teleporter to Yomi, the Fox knew that she would be alone on this quest. The cook next to her house was able to supply her with the necessary items much more quickly than expected. She would need to buff up on everything she could if she wanted to fight mob on her own, after all. It took her a moment to eat everything down, and since there was no way she could feel full, rather just satisfied, she was able to eat everything at once. All of these effects would make col and equipment farming entirely easy. The only thing she had to worry about at this point was getting beat up by the mob too badly. Hence why the evasion food was in play.

With her fancy new sword arts and completely maxed out damage, she wouldn't have much of a problem destroying anything in her way.

With her small stature, Fox slid underneath the bear, pulling her scythe off her back and it took on it's familiar white glow. With a loud growl of anger, she unleashed her most powerful sword art, tearing through not only the bears furry stomach, but also a slight more than 25% of it health points.

"You are going to die you piece of [censored]!" The claw continued to gnash through the boss monster belly. Until it was tired with being ripped apart by the obsidian claw, it slammed its body on the ground. Rolling out of the way and climbing onto the things back, Fox dug her claw into it's back and pulled the beast back. Bringing it up to its hind legs and leaving it open for an attack from her ally.

"Hit it now!" She called out to him, struggling with keeping the animal on it's back legs.

This was easily fake, but it was at the behest of four eyes, red cloak said she would need to come along. A guild wide thing where most people were actually believing that this would be their salvation. What a load of bull. Surely Kayaba didn't set up a 100 floor dungeon to do nothing but stop it one fourth of the way through and say they could all just go free. They were basically in for life at this point.

While the others go the buffs ready for everyone, Megitsune sat quietly with her mask on in the grass, meditating on the fight to come, if there even was one. After spending hours and hours in a glacier with nothing but her skirt to quell this goddamn fox demon, her nerves were on the edge from breaking. Killing something like an event boss would be a welcome reprieve to calm her down.

As the footsteps came louder down the hallway, Fox peered around the corner to see what was coming their way. It was it. The monster that she was waiting for! Unfortunately, it happened to see her peak around the wall and notice it, bolting the other direction the moment they make eye contact.

"Oi! Wait!" The girl dashed after the being as quickly as possible. It wouldn't escape her easily. Or, perhaps it will. As they rounded another corner, they we're met with a bear five times larger than the ones that they had fought before. Attempting to ignore the interruption was useless. The white fox bound past the bear, leaving it's giant paw to nearly crush the Megitsune in the snow. Luckily she was able to stop her momentum before it killed her. With a low growl, more pissed than ever, Fox turned to Gaius. He could feel her anger through her mask.

"KILL IT." She said pointing to the giant ursa.

The Fox shrugged at his assumption. "If that's what helps you understand it sure. Trying to comprehend it is a bit meaningless, but the effects it provides are just too important to be ignored." Getting up from her position in the snow, Fox looked down the hallway of the crystaline cave to make sure nothing was coming again, but even still she could feel another presence walking this way. Would it be to lucky to assume that this one was actually the enemy they were looking for?

Motioning Gaius to move out of site, she took a position against the wall again. If this were any other monster in the game, she would just rush down the cave and slash it in half. Delicate procedures were annoying as hell, but if she wanted this familiar, she would really need to catch it off guard. "Something else is coming, maybe we'll get lucky this time." The girl whispered adjusting her mask.

Looking at the item in her inventory, she watched Raidou pass his over to the girl who had basically soloed the boss with how little the two of them did. Handing over an item that she earned would have hurt, however, as Raidou put, she had done next to nothing to aid in the combat. With a sigh and glance to Night to make sure she had a free hand, she tossed the vial to the dark haired woman. "As he said, I did absolutely nothing to earn that reward. Thank you for destroying the boss without needing much help or me and Raidou could have been in trouble there. Have a good rest of your evening."

The fox turned her back to the other duo and walked briskly to catch up with her guild leader as quickly as possible. At least she gotten the experience for the kill on the Hebi.

Megitsune clapped quietly at their success, standing up from her spot and reaching out to Vince expectantly. "I'll take my mask back now." Once the trade was complete she led the duo back into town as quickly as possible. She wondered if they would need her help for the quest after the third one, but if they could get through this fine and put some skill into their sword arts, then they would be just fine with the two of them. Though the items for the quest might not be too bad. Maybe she would go and force them to fight the quest boss on their own, just so she could make sure that they were ready to go out into this world and try to level up without her help.

"You guys didn't do too bad. I recommend focusing on being able to keep yourself alive, whether its through tanking abilities or its through damage abilities. Figure out what you want to do before you go and start investing your skill points and be ready for anything."

The fox questioned her guild leader for a moment. Her duty in the guild was to destroy anything that stood in her path and she wasn't going to stop because some other team came in trying to steal their kill. She activated a sword art and dug the blade deep into the Hebi's skin. Watching it's health bar move not even a bit, she looked back to Raidou. "Oi, this thing is too strong for me to do anything. We should go ahead and get credit for the kill and have the data ready for the rest of the guild. If we tried to fight this thing with just me and you, you would spend a couple rounds paralyzed and it could get dangerous."

Hoping that he would see her reasoning, she pulled the claw lose from her target and moved back to a position behind the red robed man.

This [censored] was going to be over before they knew it. The other damage player here had already chunked out half of the snake's HP in a single hit, and she wasn't going to stand around doing nothing just because the stupid thing had evaded her attacks twice. Loading another Crimson Blood sword art through her scythe, Megitsune raised her heavy claw once more to inact revenge on the serpent. "Shi-ne!" She growled as her blade sunk into its slithering body. It was completely unbothered by her attack, even with the critical she had landed. She gritted her teeth and backed off. The thing was much tougher than she had expected.

Only one damage. That was a first for her besides punching Kaliot in the face. "Damn Mitigation..."

A well struck attack made by NS gets Fox to grin. Not only because Vince was getting better at moving with his weapon already, but because the critical would expedite the process of killing this thing. It wouldn't be much longer now.

"There you go!" She cheered about as much as she could without sounding joyful. "Now you both should be able to finish it off with a few basic attacks!" The encouragement should be enough to get them to kill it off here. With their luck, they probably wouldn't even get anything to drop from the enemy. That would be an experience, but it was at least teaching them to not take on something that they surely couldn't kill. Kaliot looked like a boy that could easily be taken advantage of if he was going the tank route. Even if he was to feel like he could do it alone, he might bite off more than he could chew.
