  1. The blast from Reytac's hammer delivered swift punishment but just not enough. The ape stumbled back from the blow, keeping it balance just barely. Rey's voice sounded out for her follow up as Firefly rushed past him sword held high and a trail of greenish light streaking behind her. With a twirl, she wrecked her blade through the stumbling beast carving a stain of green death through it's body before. Firefly held her pose dramatically as the Monkey King faded into nothing but pixels. The wind settled and the forest fell silent once again. "It... It's dead." Sewallus said in disbelief. F
  2. Firefly struggled for a moment to shake off the stun of falling to the ground. She was very lucky it wasn’t any farther of a fall or she might be dead right now. When she noticed Reytac was putting himself between her and the monster an echo of helplessness washed over her. However, she quickly trashed that thought and nodded to him. “Thank you,” was all she got out before assessing the battlefield for her weapon. Now that she was back on her feet, she’d realized Sewallus was the new target and Reytac was on the move to prevent that. His hammer struck the King - albeit a feather being str
  3. Firefly waited momentarily for Reytac to keep up with her before they continued. He was a considerate man to ensure the door closed behind him. It sort of seemed like everyone in Aincrad was nice beyond comparison. Rey would protest in her concern unsurprisingly - She would do the same after all. "We will look after each other then." It was a compromise they could agree on, though she still felt the pressure. The trio would head into the forest. She wasn't necessarily certain how she felt about Sewallus but her massive sword would protect him all the same. Soon they would come into it's t
  4. With a notebook in hand Firefly did what she always did best: Find obscure locations and record her findings. Going to places where very few people saw those sights was like being in your own special place. All of that is to say that Firefly was finding appreciation for the upper floors where so much fewer players could not freely go. Perhaps the graveyard was a common sight but what does it matter if it caught her eye? It was interesting all the same. Writing with only the aid of the moonlight was not easy, she was beginning to realize. Though that thought alone was an indicator that she

  6. The conversation eventually followed Firefly's attitude of urgency. Thanks to the information from Remington the two would do just fine fighting against monkey. She had her own hang-ups about harming plain wildlife like boars and big cats but unfortunately those animals seemed to be more aggressive than they would be in real life. "Right. Let's go." Her response was curt but clearly with purpose. Firefly would head up behind Reytac after allowing Myst to jump upon her shoulder like a parrot on the shoulder of a pirate. They traveled through the small village towards the guard's rest house

  9. Among the Tracker's Alliance are gifted craftsmen. While Firefly doesn't necessarily include herself under that title but she can at least make clothes! The Emerald Wanderer - Named after the titular owner - is a threads shop. Upon entering, the eyes will be assaulted by a plethora of color as the seamstress has no favorite. The smell varies by the day thanks to her next door neighbor and best friend's workshop. Items for sale typically come in very feminine styles, though men will won't be hard pressed to find a nice coat or light-weight armor. A sewing machine sits in the middle of the

  11. "As long as you stick with us, everything will turn out fine. We'll make sure of it." While it was reassuring to hear such a thing from someone she was beginning to consider a fairly close friend, Firefly felt helpless still. Everything she ever had to do in life included the help of others. If not for her blindness, he it was for her lack of experience in gaming. Without the help of others she would most certainly be dead but hopefully the days would come where she was the one helping those who need it. She needed to work on herself. Rushing through the hills and brush, Yue Hua and
  12. "Yes!" Her enthusiasm mirrored Rey's excitement. "Admittedly I was fairly skeptical when it came to the NerveGear. I had no hope that it would even work at all. I told my father he was falling for an expensive scam but he was the one who insisted. I'm glad to have the experience though!" Rey's observation of her condition would come as she took the final bite of her food. She got it down quickly with a drink of water before trying to respond. "I spent a lot of my first year dizzy, nauseated and... well to put it bluntly, sickly. Once I got used to colors it got a little easier but some in
  13. It was a relief to hear that Myst wasn't being much of a problem. While she loved her pet, sometimes this little fuzz with four legs would get herself in too much trouble for her size. "I haven't personally owned a pet until Myst here. I'm sure its much more difficult in real life." Firefly chuckled slightly and gave her cat a pet before turning back to her food. Myst would just rest quietly in the seat between them, curling up into a ball of fur. In an effort to avoid getting into an apology contest with herself, Firefly waved off the comments about her screen jump-scare. No reason to li

  15. Her nod in confirmation with be accompanied with a smile. It was second nature for her to smile in conversation. "Nice to meet you Rey." Noticing that the light of her screen had shocked Rey, she got worried immediately and peered around it. "Sorry! I keep it king of large because I have a tough time reading it otherwise!" Now she was trying harder to find the party invite. Once she sent it over to him, she quickly swiped the menu away to get it out of his way. Rey would indulge in the barkeep's offer and order something to eat. A skewer and some veggies, not a bad idea. She would ha
  16. As she waited for her food, Firefly took a moment to check on her little Chartreux cat who had hopped up into the vacant seat next to her. It mewed quietly to her, expressing it's annoyance with the loudness of the tavern. In return she would give the cat a soft pet on the head. "I know it's loud in here, we might be sticking around awhile though. It can't be worse than the sandstorm we endured though!" She did her best to keep the cat's spirits up. It thought about it for a moment, then gave her a comforting purr as it's acceptance. That's when a man would enter her field of vision, putt
  17. Warren would show not too soon after she had arrived, giving her a lovely wave in greeting which she returned with a smile and a wave herself. "Hey there. Nice to see you again." He seemed a slight sluggish but she trusted every member of the Tracker's Alliance to preform well. They hadn't found themselves in a scrap together up until this point, though, so she wanted to show that she could be a reliable fighter. His compliment threw her off immediately, however. "Oh! Th-Thank you! I made it myself!" Her face flushed with red as she stammered through her words. They couldn't linger on tha
  18. The nauseating lights enveloped her senses with a kaleidoscope of color. Re-actively she shut her eyes and tried to withstand the sickness that using the teleportation plaza usually made her feel. Thankfully it was a relatively quick process. Floor eight, a new prospect for her. First thing she noticed was another lush forest. If there was one thing the creators of the game really enjoyed it was trees. Granted, when you're trying to create 100 unique environments you'd eventually end up with this problem, she assumed. Though, Ellesmera was not her target location Firefly would take a few
  19. After a short break from her new friend Warren, they would soon to reconvene on floor eight were their first target in the quest chain. Hopefully her new attire wasn't too jarring. She had decided to change her skills around in hopes that she would never feel the pain of being impaled again. This was a good time for her to take in the sights of Floor Eight, though. It was in her nature to just explore while she waited for her company to arrive, so she walked around the teleportation platform and spoke with some of the local NPCs while browsing some of their shops. Another dense jungle sim
