  1. Depression and disgust. That was the note left Sam's notebook as she jotted down her thoughts about floor 18. Every floor so far had it's unique beauty linked to stories that she read growing up but the only beauty she could find amongst the murky, muddied mire was the clearly out-of-place teleportation plaza. The smell was upsetting her stomach to the point that she might just lose her lunch... Still! The woman was content on documenting her experience in SAO-RPG for the future. The landscape was so varied that emotion could be found through words in some fashion. There had to be some no
  2. Not letting her previous failure get her down, Firefly held out her witch light again. To this point, she’d never really caught anything under its glow but that would change. When she came within range of one of the materials the light coming from her item would pulsate slowly. A quick look around would show the material it found. After a quick interaction with the little weed, it would disappear into her inventory. ”There we go! Finally found one!” Firefly would tell the others. “These materials could look like a lot of different things right? Maybe I should keep a diary of flora that ma
  3. Firefly wasn’t the greatest fighter, that much was obvious. Her recklessness could have easily gotten her killed if she had taken this on alone. Her eyes trailed down to her weapon and then to her hands as the enemy faded from existence. She was shaking. Adrenaline? Fear? Excitement? Not even she could really tell you what she was feeling. Though, Ty’s voice would snap her back to reality. “Huh-?! Wha-? Oh- right.” She laughed nervously as she put her weapon back in its rightful place. “Thank you. I’m still working on my combat skills.” She would sheepishly mention, as if it wasn’t obviou
  4. Firefly ensured to protect her new friend’s eyes from the dust winds the best she could, ultimately deciding to keep the critter covered in her hooded shawl. Thankfully the little critter was small enough to sit on her shoulder without much problem. Morningstar would also comment on the harshness of the weather annoying him. “Yeah, the beauties of Aincrad are vast and not entirely wasted to this desert… but not my favorite of beauties to uncover.” She would re-solidify before following behind him. Zamek, the elderly quest giver, approached them the moment they got close. He obviously noti
  5. Firefly moved out from the rock when Knightingale ensured her it would be safe. Others were usually pretty adamant about keeping her away from the fighting, mostly because she was a fresh new player without much to keep her alive. “I-I see. Well, that pink haired woman sure is tough. Her health has hardly dropped after all those attacks.” In the cave, Firefly recalled how she basically moved with a thought. Her body took control and her sword lit up with a very bright light much like the paladin’s only with a different color. “What’s up with the shining colors on the blade? They’re pretty but
  6. Approved, enjoy the wonderful sights of Aincrad!
  7. Firefly was about to get ready to jump into the battle when Ty stopped her, asking if she had a plan. There wasn't too much thought given to a plan, mostly because between the two of them they could probably kill it rather quickly. "I- Well, I really only have raw damage. I'm only level three." She would admit. "But the boss has no tricks up its sleeves or anything. If you stun it, we should be more than fine." The newbie tried to explain. Her instincts were good, Morningstar had attested to that. Right now, her instincts told her that she didn't need to run away. The Minotaur had found t
  8. Familiar Name: Myst Familiar Breed: Chartreux(Gray Coated House Cat) Familiar Description: A small, cuddly little kitty found on Floor 1 by Firefly and Yue Hua.
  9. Firefly followed the group closely. She may have some combat experience under her belt now but she wasn't willing to take risks... well, as long as a child wasn't being threatened with death again. We'll go with unnecessary risks. So, when the arrived at the river area that was talked up by Wulfrin, Firefly took a walk along the bank of the river. There had to be some flora living alongside the water that would be useful in medicine. Had she read that in a book once? There wasn't much else to do in her free time in the real world other than read books that had been translated into braille
  10. Firefly took a couple more steps back at Zajcica's warning. She had never gotten the chance to see what a front liner is truly capable of despite knowing Wulfrin, Ciela and Morningstar. Was it really that crazy up here? Her question would be quickly answered as the fight began. Yuki tossed her enemies around like rag dolls and they did the same to her. The once-blind young adult took even more steps back when the golden aura of the paladin shone through. Assuming Knightingale joined her, Firefly would yell over the loud conflict. "Is this what highly experienced players are capable of?! I
  11. While Pollux got herself acquainted with Myst, Firefly thought more on the name. Was Myst a good name? Mist was typically an element of mystery and exploration to her so it made sense in the context of their guild. Though most her inspiration for the name lied with the feline’s coat color. Either way, Firefly would give a nod paired with a smile. ”I hope that everyone enjoys her company. I already am, that’s for sure.” She continued to give her new pet love. “Yeah, I think ‘Star and Bistro would fall in love with her.” Walking along side her guild-mate, Firefly would ponder a bit. W
  12. Firefly pulled her hooded shawl over her head and made sure it was tightened down enough that a gust of wind wouldn’t slide it back. She then knelt down to Myst to make sure her tiny shawl was on tight enough to keep her safe from the kicked up sand. Seeing the discomfort in her new companion, she’d decide to pick the feline up and carry her under her robes. Soon, Star and her would convene near the quest start location. She was actually excited to be going on another quest with him, but all this sand was harshing the vibe pretty quickly. “Guh. Sand is awful, I hate it.” The girl would co
  13. The Tracker would find the meet up place along with Wulfrin, who agreed to come along. He was a lot stronger than her so maybe he’s could actually help the tank that put out the message of a free carry. She wasn’t actually sure what it meant other than it would give her experience and if she wanted to see more of Aincrad, she needed to get stronger. The small group travelled through the empty Necropolis where the Forgotten King laid to rest. He was back and could reform his undead army to take over the entirety of Aincrad. That’s at least what the information on the quest said. From the s
  14. Firefly would reach down and pick her new friend up to hold in her arms, allowing Pollux to pet the small little critter should she wish. A window would popup in front of her, allowing her and her guild-mate the moment check the cat’s gender and a prompt to choose a name for her. “Female, huh?” She would take note, listening to Pollux ask about the name of her new familiar. All things considered, Firefly didn’t think it would happen so quickly. She felt like she’d just yesterday been inspired to get a cat because of Nyanko. Nyanko was named from Japanese words. She knew Nyan was the sound
  15. The duo had been at the walk for quite some time now but Firefly’s methodical approach was proving very useful. With quick pace, she had eliminated dead ends and found an opening in the maze. “Oh wow. There’s a wide opening in the walls here. Stay on your guard.” Firefly would draw the butterfly cross-blade from its sheathe on her back. It glowed lightly, mixing with the light of her new friend’s glow stone. ‘I could die.’ It was all that she could think of now, especially as the stomping of the minotaur came out from behind the other side’s wall. When she’d jumped in front of Star,
  16. Firefly would stand up from her seat and stretch out her muscles. “Wonderful food Wulfrin. Whomever made it did a great job.” She would compliment, hoping that he would pass her message along if he was not the one who prepared it. The group would soon find themselves in Zackariah’s shop. She’d been here more than once, wondering about the fears of wondering outside the safe zone as someone who could barely comprehend written word. It hadn’t seem like the problems of this world involved her. Now that she was making friends, however, she realized that the people here aren’t just sharing a b
  17. The Tracker took a moment to swallow and clearing her throat before speaking up to formally introduce herself. Even if Wulfrin had already introduced her, it was still polite to do it herself. "Hello, sirs. My name is Firefly, or you can just call me Samantha or Sam if you prefer that though!" She would mention to the people who didn't know her. "I'm a low level DPS that just needs to get this quest finished already. I can do a lot of damage for my level though so I'll definitely be caring my weight." She finished up her food and stood from her chair. "Right, so we should probably get sta
  18. After receiving Wulfrin's message, Firefly decided that she would actually decide to join along. She hadn't yet been through the First Lesson's quest simply because she didn't want to bother others about joining her for the beginner quests. She would be able to do them just fine all alone but if he was going offer her a spot she would gladly take it. Collecting all her things, Samantha would teleport down to the Floor of Beginnings forgetting to actually respond to his message. Nevertheless, she would find herself at the cafe where Wulfrin was laying down his feast. "Good morning Wulfrin.
  19. 'I expect you'll go far around here.' Ty had almost repeated exactly what Star had said to her after they'd saved Koko from that cave. In all honesty, the only place that she cared about going was the unknowns. Her overall goal was seeing the sights no one else had. "It'll be safe to assume that it will just charge at us with reckless intent, like a cat that just heard it's bag of food open." The duo would soon enter the Labyrinth. Firefly would intermitted mark on the wall with her chalk, making the symbol of a butterfly wing to show which paths they'd been down. They would find themselv
  20. Approved, enjoy the wonderful sights of Aincrad!
  21. Back at the entrance of the maze, Firefly was about to walk in shortly after ensuring her new friend was still following behind her but they insisted on asking her some questions. Not that the questions were bad to cover beforehand but she was ready to get exploring! "Oh, right." The digital sounds of her menu would be the only sound between the two before a well kept, green notebook appeared in hand. Sam would open it up and find the page she'd wrote the information down that she'd gotten from the Guild's data bank. "Both of the Minos are about the same power level, one being a little mo
  22. Firefly chuckled nervously as the girl decided to join along. She’d felt like Ty was a little forced into helping out thanks to Larbrook’s incessant pestering. The best she could do now was help by picking up the slack. “Great, you know deal then. Go rough up those Minos and bring me their pendants!” He would encourage and swiftly the two women were left to themselves. ”Ty, got it. I’m Firefly, or Sam if you prefer. I’ve only been in combat once but I can hold my own.” The swordswoman would accept the party invite as they spoke. “I know the path to the labyrinth maze. Let me lead you ther
  23. When Firefly realized she was being talked to by someone other than Larbrook, she immediately shifted her attention but would quickly be cut off. "Oh, hello-." "Perfect!" The man would say ushering the newcomer to join the conversation they were having. "You, my lady, can help this little missy with a quest of glory! The minos of the labyrinth are strong combats to test the strength of those who bear arms. You should rally with her and show her what true courage looks like!" He would almost force her way into the quest using Firefly as leverage, though it certainly seemed like he wasn't a
  24. Search of the Hoya The Tracker found herself at the Labyrinthine maze she was soon to investigate. The man who had approached her in Aruyt had insisted that she hunt the ‘Hoya Minos’ the moment he saw the weapon her back. Despite how much she tried to explain that she was not a fighter at all. His relentless pressure had gotten her to at least to check the place out. Now that she was here she was having second thoughts. Ultimately she would return to Labrook. ”Ah, returned already? If you killed the Hoya so quickly you must be quite the warrior! I have an eye for that sorta thing, mi
  25. Firefly took the compliment with a bright smile. She was still shaken up from jumping in front of near-certain death. However that quickly faded as she chatted with the wonderfully lovely child and Morningstar on their walk back home, more-so when they arrived and watched their reunion. It was familiar to her: Getting separated from her parents in a public place only to hear their voice after what felt like days away from them. This was the first time she would ever see this interaction and it brought a tear of joy to her eye. When handed the reward from Koko’s mother, Firefly tried to pe
