[PP-F13] The Berserker VS The Corrupted (Ssendom, Shizuka, Zelrius)

Recommended Posts

Hikoru heard the replies from his other group members, and he nodded to them quietly

"Alright. Keep on searching, it has to be here somewhere!" He said as he continues to search around, hoping to find what he was looking for. This chapel was supposed to be harder on this floor, and that was only putting it lightly. He hoped they wouldn't be here all day, or he would be too tired to be able to focus on the fight. He continued to look, but was unable to find anything for a clue to find what they were looking for

Shizuka sighed a bit more as she looked around. It seemed like Ssendom had gone ahead and engaged himself with several skeleton like mobs and she didn't mind. She watched as the man was able to kill them all with complete ease and truly, Shizuka had not anticipated such an enormous amount of Col to appear as loot from those different mobs. However, she was glad for the man. Indeed, he had claimed to be the richest man in Aincrad when they first met and now Shizuka was well aware of what he meant. With a sigh, Shizuka continued to walk before noticing that Hikoru was looking at the fight as well and he looked quite fatigued for some reason even though all they had been doing was walk around looking for materials. Nevertheless, Shizuka must continue to search in hopes that she would be able to find it soon and hence cause the two other players less energy in trying to locate the quest area. Alrighty then... Shizuka thought, turning her head, watching out for anything suspicious in the distance.

Shizuka sighed. She had indeed thought to search for something suspicious but now, she was staring to perhaps consider that she had rather find this suspicious place than to avoid it. She just wanted to get this quest over and done now so she can return home. Little did she know that she would soon be faced with a much more challenge... A fight with herself. A man vs man challenge conflict and she was the person that was the victim of the fight.

Ssendom looked over the area quietly, not paying attention to the people or anything else around him. His arms were crossed as he was a tid bit annoyed that they couldn't find the building. He knew the Graveyards of Avrosa were massive and there were countless buildings that could or could not be chapels in it of itself, but the fact they weren't getting a hint of the chaotic energy that spooled out from the building meant they were no where close to the location that they needed to be.

He turned to look at his two companions on the quest, "Hey, let's head further north. If we haven't felt the negativity in the air, then by all means were far from where we should be. And since we came from the South Entrance, the only real thing to do is go deeper into the graveyard until we come in contact with the building in some way shape or form." After having addressed them, he turned his body back to the north and started trudging through casually maneuvering around the gravestones that impeded his path.

Hikoru listened to Ssendom intently, and nodded. He was right, they weren't looking in the right place. He made his way towards where Ssendom was looking, then he started to run ahead, climbing a large boulder and seeing if he could see if he would be able to see any signs before any other person in their small party. He looked around, but he wasn't tall enough to see anything over the large trees around him. He sighed and got down, shaking his head to Ssendom to tell him that there was nothing to report

Shizuka shrugged. Very well. She thought and jumped towards the two players with energy. Indeed, she had quite a bit of energy despite the fact that they had spent such a long time searching for what she had thought was quite an easy-to-find building. Through her common sense, she had thought that a Chapel was meant to be easily found due to the size that they are created with but Shizuka guessed that that apparently doesn't apply in this game. Still, she had lots of energy to burn at the moment so she'll definitely not mind doing this. However, during this time, she could be material gathering back on the first floor. As soon as the party reached the Northern part of the floor, Shizuka began to search immediately, the land was plain and there truly wasn't that many materials anywhere... However, no matter how hard it was to find this location, Shizuka believed that they would be able to find this location soon.

Shizuka sighed. There was nothing within the area here either and it seemed like the material gathering was going to be quite pointless. Still, she would try her hardest in order to find this place and hurry the quest up because at this rate, she was not going to be anywhere close to finishing up this quest since neither of the three players seemed to have a clue as to where this Chapel was.

Ssendom looked at his energy, and thought that it was recovering slower in this graveyard than it had anywhere else aside from floor and event boss fights. He shrugged and rotated his shoulder popping it for comfort,  Dom looked at both Hikoru and Shizuka and quickly noticed their agitation for having not found the chapel so far. Though it seemed neither of them were willing to give up on the hunt for the building, to keep spirits Dom brought up his inventory and brought out 2 Milk Chocolate bars from his shop inventory.

"Hey both of you, time to take a snack break." He tossed them both each one single Milk Chocolate Bar, "That should help you relax, feel better and allow you have better awareness. Let me know when you're ready to move out." He said in a calming demeanor as he sat upon a gravestone and awaited to hear from both of them. He turned his neck both ways popping it both times twice each, he then looked up to the sky and wondered what it would be past that thick layer of brown fog that sat above the entirety of the floor.

Hikoru heard Dom say something about taking a break, and threw at him something shiny. He caught it, and it turned out to be a candy bar. He sat on a nearby rock and ate the food silently, eating it with delight. As he finished, he felt a sudden boost of energy, and a bit more luck. He stood up and gave Dom a thumbs up, then gave it another go at looking for the chapel, praying that the God's of luck would give him what he needed. But sadly, there wasn't anything in the nearby area

"Let's keep moving." He said, "There's nothing around here that gives any indication of the Chapel." He said as he continued to move forward, using his new energy from the Candy Bar to his advantage.

Shizuka smiled and took the chocolate bar gratefully. She then heard her stomach grumble and a simple chocolate bar truly wouldn't be that much. However, Shizuka didn't really have anything in her inventory to eat except for several tasteless bread that she would definitely not like to do such a thing. Shizuka smirked and opened up the chocolate before taking a bite into it to discover that it was similar to the taste of milk. In real life, Shizuka had never really experienced the taste of sweets back due to the fact that her father had thought that she would gain fat and not serve her role as a "business attraction." Shizuka had honestly begun to despise her father for his selfishness and greed. However, he was still her father and the man who had provided her with everything she had, including the game itself. She could imagine that her mother was crying over her still body while her father was away on international meets, trying his hardest to ignore the fact that his daughter was stuck inside a video game that he himself had bought. Shizuka finished off the chocolate and felt her Loot Die stats increase immediately. However, Shizuka decided to sit down and take a slight break in order to gather up some energy and hopefully finish the gathering.

Now that the two had a chance to have a short break after consuming something to eat. Ssendom flipped his blade onto his shoulder and marched forward, he wanted to be ready just incase they came across the building now that the two in his company had a larger chance at finding the chapel. Ssendom just kept his nose forward, he needed to be ready incase either of the two happened to trigger a few enemies and needed a quick rescue, he hummed a tune in his head that was familiar to him for some reason, though it had been far too long since he had listened to actual music. But one could quickly infer it was some type of hard rock or possibly even metal by how intense and powerful he was humming, He cleared his throat, "If yall would like me to stop humming, I'll stop." He notified them, then went back to humming the tune.

Hikoru searches around, listening the the humming coming from Ssendom, agreeing with the music. It fit their moment perfectly, and he was happy with a music. He didn't complain and continued to look, hoping to find the Chapel, praying that he could have this happen and they could finally be done with the quest. But sadly, there was still no sign of anything around him, and it made him sigh, almost a bit angry with how much sour luck he was having

Shizuka sighed. Indeed, they had spent quite a huge amount of time just searching for the chapel and the battle hasn't even started. She was waiting to craft and it seemed like she would not be able to craft as she was sure that by the time she get to her shop, she was be absolutely exhausted. Shizuka sighed once more, disappointed that they were still out here but one must continue and strive on no matter how harsh and difficult a situation may seem to be. There's always a solution... You just have to strive for it. Shizuka thought and looked around.

Still, nothing could come of Shizuka's search and she could hear the bored humming that was coming from Ssendom. Shizuka sighed and continued to walk, hoping that something might show her the way to the chapel and hence shorten up this search progress because this was taking quite a long time... Way too long for Shizuka's patience. Uh oh... I'm getting frustrated... Calm down.

Dom kept his eyes forward, he was beginning to become bored with searching but he wouldn't cease searching since the other two seemed so determined to find the building. He wouldn't shirk his duties to accurately protect his allies to his fullest capabilities. He lifted his sword for a half second before dropping it back down upon his shoulder as a way to readjust and get comfortable again. He looked at both Shizuka and Hikoru and smiled subtly, seeing their confidence staying tall in the face of the inability to find the building kept him rather happy somewhat.

Hikoru kept searching. They had to find this chapel, and soon. It could turn night any day now, and none of them would be able to see where they were looking, and he knew that he had the best chance to find the chapel, thanks to his skills and Lucky Ring. He searched frantically, praying that he could find the chapel for all of them. As he looked, he found some sort of crumbs, almost like rubble, that went off the path. He went to look, but it lead to a dead end. He turned around and sighed

"Nothing there. I thought it was though..." He said with a sigh. He was so dissapointed. He was so sure he had found it, but oh well. He sighed and kept looking, not giving up hope yet

Shizuka sighed. She could sense that they were getting close. Sense it. Indeed, something told her that if they continued to search the surrounding area, they would soon be able to find this hidden chapel. Only a little bit more. The atmosphere here is so different. She thought as she looked around once more and sighed as she had failed to see anything. Still, her instincts told her that she was really close. So close. She thought as she walked forwards, waiting for something to come to her or for something to appear that told the party of where this chapel was. Such long time though... This is really annoying. She thought. Her patience was obviously running out through all this venturing.

[Edited to keep from conflicting with your posts.]

Ssendom wasn't getting any better at finding the chapel needed, and it seemed as though the once vigorous duo were now starting to become far more irritant and dejected over not finding the building. He walked up behind both of them and patted them on the shoulder once, hoping to keep their confidence up. But he would keep his visuals on them just incase they were having issues keeping their calm. There was no point in getting angry over not finding the building since they would need to keep their nerves under check for the boss itself.

[I check the rolls before I post. Seeing that Dom didn't find it, I shall roll now :P]

Hikoru continued to look. He knew they were getting close, they just had to be. He rubbed his lucky ring, hoping that it would help him find the Chapel. He looked above his head and saw a fairly large tree to the side. He came over to the trunk and continued to climb up, hoping to get an arial view and be able to see if he could see the chapel anywhere. But sadly, he didn't have enough grip and slipped back down the trunk back to the ground. He sighed and got up, readying to try again

Shizuka had never had such frustration before. Indeed, she had not prepared for a day of frustration as she hadn't expected to find a chapel to be of such difficulty. Shizuka sighed, disappointed that she had yet to even find a trace of this Chapel. How hard could it be? Shouldn't it be a huge building that could be seen from miles around with a cross on the top of the building to signify that it was a chapel? So why in the hell is it this hard to find? Shizuka thought, frustration clearly seeking in as she was yet to find any evidence of the chapel being around her. I'll move on to a different spot then. Shizuka decided.

Ssendom was beginning to feel a bit hungry, so he decided to bring out one of his own milk chocolate bars as well. Wouldn't hurt to improve his chances of finding the building by a slim bit since they had been trying so hard and failing to succeed. After he finished eating the food he opened his eyes and walked a decent distance away from the two. As he passed over a hill he looked off in the distance to feel a sense of negative energy coming from a certain direction. As he turned his head to look he noticed a run down building that looked almost exactly like every other building they had traversed by, he laughed to himself, "I think I found the building guys." Waving them down towards him.

Hikoru heard Dom say something, and he ran over, looking over the hill to see the chapel. He smiled widely, happy that they had finally found it

"Awesome dude! Good to see that someone found it!" He said with a smile. Although he wished he would have been the one to found it, he was glad that someone did. He looked up and the sun was past the middle of the sky, indicating that soon night would fall. He looked at the others with a nod

"Alright. Dom, Zelrius said that he would meet us there, right? If he's there, well meet up at the entrance hopefully." He said with a very authoric tone. He wanted to make sure that everyone in this party would survive. He knew that him and Shiz had a very good chance to die here, and he wanted to make sure that he had two players that he could hope would finish it off in it's final form.

Shizuka smirked in delight as she also heard that Ssendom had managed to find the building. It had taken long enough and Shizuka was definitely not complaining about the fact that they had found the Chapel. She smiled as she caught up to Hikoru and Ssendom and looked into the horizon. Of course, it was a massive building. Well, the fact that we're all blind has been proven. She thought with a face palm. I can't believe this took so long. And with that she, spun around. "Yeah. Ssendom... Didn't Zelrius say he would meet us around here? So he can deal some intense damage to the quest mobs?" Shizuka asked, not sure where the blonde boy was or whether he would even be coming. He is known for his laziness after all. Shizuka thought and she decided to sit down, feeling the tiredness that her legs now provided her with. What a drag... Such a long day of walking.
