[SP-F3] Game Breaking Glitches <Escape> [Complete!]

Recommended Posts

Kalesh cracked his neck as he walked through the third floor curiously. He had a smile on his face and was in an all-around good attitude all things considered. He had heard rumors about thugs being a nuisance in the area so he thought he would check it out, not suspecting what would happen when he got there. Before he knew it he found himself falling unconscious after feeling a prick of pain in his back. He didn't have time to investigate what it was as his virtual body shut down and he was forced into a deep sleep. He was understandably frustrated that such a thing was possible and the only thing he could really do was wait and pray that he woke up at all instead of having his throat slit in his sleep or any other grim fate made possible by the game's systems.

When his eyes opened he was sitting upright, his eyes glancing around and quickly to the cold metal he felt around his arms. He was about to panic but took a breath so he could examine the area around him. It looked like he was in a prison cell, and his icon was still green so he doubted it was the PK prison he had heard about. He saw that that door looked very cruddy in quality as well, he figured that he could break it down easily with his claws. Then he realized the next part... he wasn't wearing any of his items. His hands were uncovered and he wasn't wearing his jacket or anything!

Kalesh sighed softly as he looked at the bonds with frustration, sure he could break out of them, especially with his martial arts skill having been increased before this. Taking a deep breath Kalesh tugged hard against the shackles that kept him bound where he was, straining against the metal that didn't budge and making him pant as he saw something that horrified him. <Immortal Object>. He was dumbstruck at this pop up, unable to believe that the game would put him in a situation like there where he couldn't escape! He tugged again and again over and over to try and break free but nothing was working unfortunately. He was utterly stuck where he was.

His entrapment continued on for several months. He hadn't been fed which made him very uncomfy throughout the ordeal even if he wasn't required to eat to survive in this world. His throat felt dry and he had essentially given up on getting out. How could he break out of bonds that were unbreakable? All he could do was wait for the heatdeath of the universe as the will of god, or an unforseen error in his ways, had him stuck to a wall. Kalesh blinked as he recalled the stories of how some animals would choose to escape from bear traps and the like. A whimper went through him as he concluded "This is going to suck..." with his voice rasping a bit from spending so long not talking.

He had to brace himself mentally for what he was about to do, looking first at his left hand as he grit his teeth and leaned in so he mouth was brought to the skinniest part of his arm. He bit down hard, again and again, tearing at the virtual flesh with the only weapon he had, his teeth. It was painful to say the least, or whatever you wanted to call the feeling that shot through his nerves in place of pain. It took several minutes of hard work and a lot of lost hitpoints, but eventually he managed to gnaw through his arm until the severed hand shattered. He panted there, shocked and tired from the event he had put himself through as he looks at his right hand. He waited for his hitpoints to recover and his left hand to materialize again before he got to work on the other. His desperation rather clear he figured if anyone saw him like this.

Once his right hand had shattered and regrown itself, something he could only do in this world, he stood up for the first time in so long, stumbling a bit like his legs were asleep as he hopped in place and mimicked running to go through the motions. He spent a minute using his body to make sure it wasn't too rusty before glancing towards the metal door in front of him. He sighed softly as he took a breath and pulled his fist back and clenched tight. He made a small prayer that only the shackles were unbreakable objects. If this gate was as well he would probably despair fully.

Gritting his teeth he punched forward with his fist with his eyes shut, feeling his hand connect with metal, and he swore he felt it budge! His eyes opened wide and his mouth smiled happily as the prospect of freedom seemed in sight! Well, from the cell at least, actually getting out was another issue altogether. Across from the gate he could see a box which made him raise a brow, wondering why it was there and what was inside. It was a mystery to him but one very worth looking into once he was done bashing down this gate with his bare hands with not even a rock to aid him.

The second punch he landed on the gate had it barely holding onto its hinges, just another good hit and he was convinced he could break out! "Almost..." He says softly while taking a step back. He shakes his fist a bit, the punches not exactly easy on him. In a strange way the months of imprisonment had him barely remembering how to throw a proper punch instead of just shoving his hand forward. He would need to work out the motions again after spending so much time immobile, just hoping he could pick it all up again before anything the system threw at him managed to put him down.

This time he figured he'd try a kick, his legs needing some work as well. With a deep breath he raised his leg and forced it into a collision with the metal gate, hearing a loud creak as the metal twisted and broke before falling onto the stone floor at last. Feeling a sense of accomplishment he stepped out over the gate and took a deep breath. The first step of his freedom started here. Drawn to the nearby box he looked inside after opening it up, and grinned widely as he made out the sight of his equipment! He was not in a position to complain about his items being available to him again this early into the jailbreak. If anything it felt like a blessing of some sort.

He wasted no time adding everything in the box to his inventory and slipping into his jacket, slipping his claws over his hands, and putting his mask over his face with a pleased smile. It took him a few moments to get his chosen items onto his hotbar as well though, and he could hear the commotion of what he assumed were guards coming to investigate the noise. He took a breath as he realized he was going to have to fight. He takes out a crystal from before his imprisonment and activates it. What looked like scales covering his body and raising his mitigation. He figured the effect would last him until he broke out of here at least. He needed every edge he could get in his mind. He faced towards the incoming attacks and readied his claws in the closest thing he could manage to a proper stance after going without practice for so long.

Kalesh watched as the two guards game into view, but not before he could pull out a second crystal and activate it to increase his actual combat strength. He didn't know if it was needed or not, but he wasn't going to risk it either way. He wanted every table turned to his advantage in this game right now. Dying after just escaping would have been somewhat counterproductive in his mind. He noted that they were both using spears which made him grin. He charged forward with reckless abandon, claws aimed forward as he ducked under the guard's attacks just barely and stabbed his hands into the second guard, his claws tearing outward and the NPC exploded into pixels which filled Kalesh with a sense of satisfaction within him!

It was at this point his rust was starting to show, he fumbled on his legs while trying to chain towards the second guard with a one handed spear. He barely managed to deflect the incoming attack with his claws but was staggered from the effort, forced to back up and get his bearings. He clenched his clawed hands again and again, trying to get used to the movements and how he had to hold himself again after his prison sentence taking away much of the muscle memory.

Kalesh didn't hesitate to charge forward again, taking a deep breath as he gutted the guard, slashing across his belly with both his clawed fingers digging through. Much like the bandit's partner he shattered into nothingness, but left something behind for the player. Kalesh noted some materials being added to his inventory and he couldn't help but chuckle as he felt the adrenaline rush going through him from combat. It was a pleasant feeling after so long, comforting even. He shook his head quickly though so not to get distracted. He had to figure out his next step and try to get out of here.

Taking a deep breath Kalesh charged through the hallways of the prison in search of an exit, but primarily trying to keep himself from being found by any of the guards. A horde of guards focusing in on his position with GPS precision technology built into their AI skulls was not something he wanted to be a part of. He just wanted to get out of here and rest in a warm bed, maybe have a hot bath, but before any of that he wanted to eat. Unsurprisingly biting his arms off to escape his cell had done nothing for his appetite. He felt ravenous almost and he found himself placing a hand over his stomach as if expecting to feel an empty space where it should be.

Kalesh tried to use his years of videogame knowledge to the test here, focusing on stealth games like Thief or Metal Gear. True to format he found a turn and put his back to it, peaking one eye around it before quickly pulling back when he sees two guards. "We've been having a lot of breakouts, huh?" Muses one guard in conversation with the other, reminding him very clearly of NPC interactions in actual stealth games. "Yeah, 'cept that one bloke who can't get out of his cell, 'unnno what's up with him." Mused the other. Kalesh felt a personal pang of frustration from the comment, taking a deep breath as he got ready to try and cross the gap undetected.

"Oi!" Said one guard as Kalesh tried to sneak by undetected, making the player turn on his heel and rush towards the guards, wanting to silence them before the could alert the others. As his claws jabbed into one guard however, the other had begun ringing a loud bell. The sound of other bells in the distance being heard and Kalesh hissed in anger as he tore the guard in his grasp apart. "Dangit!" Said the rather frustrated player as the guard disappeared. It seems the prison was going to be one high alert for a while.

Kalesh felt a spear suddenly hit into his side against the scale covered patterns on his body. He could swear the protected him from the attack as he felt the bare minimum damage possible afflict his body. Unhappy with being his Kalesh grabs the spear with his left hand as he raises his right hand and slashed downward. From skull to stomach he ran his claws down the guard and killed it from the damage and anger he put behind the attack. Kalesh had to hurry up and start looking around if he was to get out now. He had a feeling more guards were on the way.

He broke into a run around the complex in search of an exit for him to use to leave the prison for good, he felt a breeze and tried to follow it but the wind stopped blowing when he felt like he was getting close. He grit his teeth while looking around in worry for any signage or just an arrow that could get him pointed in the correct direction as he heard footsteps going through the hallways towards him.

Kalesh kept running in the opposite direction of the footfalls he heard, not caring where it lead as long as it was away from more conflict at the moment, but soon he found himself at a dead end. He had nearly collided with it from how close it was to his face from the running. He grit his teeth as he started to turn around to face any incoming guards that wanted to foil his escape attempt.

Kalesh saw two spears turn the corner before he saw the gaurds, raising his claws in front of himself like two shields as he felt the spears change direction the moment he was spotted. He felt the blades of the weapons just baring poking into his arms as he held them off. He had backed himself off into a corner essentially, putting the enemy at the advantage since he had nowhere to run. This was a very unpleasant development, but as long as the actual number of guards didn't increase he thought he could handle himself with relatively little effort. He just had to make sure not to exhaust himself entirely!
