[PP-F5] «Blood in the Sand» Sand Swimming

Recommended Posts

Back at it again, the wanderer slowly steps out of the teleport portal in Armadillo. Back to the place where the wanderer dreaded most. The sandpits of the 5th floor. "Why are all the quest on the 5th floor? Why not the 4th floor where it's nice and cool." The wanderer mumbled on to himself as he grumpily walked out of the portal. He truly hates this dry place and very much preferred his cold place in the 4th floor. He had wanted to buy a house there, but it seems that there are no houses available on that floor - sadly. After a few steps he took to a nearby bench where he lounged about while waiting for a companion. "I wonder where he could be..."

OOC: How come we can't buy houses on the 4th or lower floors?

If he's mentally whined about it once, he'd mentally whined about it a thousand times before. Nothing inspired such an intense loathing in the pit of his stomach like the fifth floor did. The heat was miserable, the dry air was miserable, the sands were rough and coarse and got everywhere on top of making walking an unpleasant chore. The settlement was a monument of mankind's arrogance, a venue that just shouldn't exist. Yet here it was, in all of its arid glory, with plenty of players unfathomably enjoying it. Some resided in the floor's in perpetually, others opened shops and sold their wares. Seldom did the come to the hellish fifth lowest tier of Aincrad without reason, and this occasion conformed to the norm. A quest and a prospective dungeon, typical goals for the players he would occasionally team up with was what brought Takao to Armadillo. He stepped off the warp gate platform as the hot and dry air hit his face like a wall, resulting in a groan to rumble in his throat.

A short bout of walking lead him to a familiar face, who was greeted with a lazily raised hand. "'ey Rain. What's up?"

OOC// they love our tears and hate our happiness.

After a few minutes of waiting, the wanderer quickly spots a familiar face. It's the same face that carried his bum on a quest before. He had hoped he could carry his bum yet again. Of course, he didn't want to become a nuisance to that frontliner that's carrying his bum, so he figured to just ask from time to time. and this is another one of those times.

"Yo!" Short and to the point. He doesn't want to waste his time, being that this guy is pretty high (420 blaze it) leveled, so he opted to get on to the matters at hand. Casually navigating his HUD, he opens his quest log. "So we're suppose to kill a shark that swims in sand here somewhere. Uh... happen to know anything about it?" The wanderer spoke in a tone that had more confidence than he did before. The last this guy saw him, he was but a measly level 7. Now, he's hit 18 and going up the ranks faster.

OOC: They need to make a cold snowy place soon. I was planning on buying a house in one. (preferably 4th floor cause it's nice and cozy.)

"Blood in the Sand," Takao said simply in response. "It's a shark... 'n it swims in the sand. Not much to know about it." He continued, offering little useful insight into the boss itself. It wasn't one he was especially familiar with, the attack patterns were something he had last seen what felt like years ago. It had been one of the first quests Takao had taken solo, and had perhaps been a portion of the catalyst that brought forth his career of independence. It had given him confidence, after all. The confidence to take on bigger risks by himself, which he had survived by dumb luck time and time again.

"It's out the north end a ways. Dude's real easy so we shouldn't have a problem." He admitted, and already began walking in the direction of the aforementioned gate. He mulled over another thought for a few seconds before speaking up again. "...'n eh... I might know where a dungeon is on this floor, if you wanna hit that up too while we're out there. Might as well make good use f'our time, y'know?"

OOC// I was actually gonna see if I could get the housing rules revised so that buying on floors 1-10 was possible, but I've been waiting until we get some more important things sorted first.

Within a moment's notice, the wanderer quickly responds with a satisfied, "For sure!" He's face lit up with as smile as he thought of all the experience they could be obtaining after this quest and sub-dungeon. Well, Takao would be obtain, and the wanderer just tagging a long pretty much what you could say as a cheerleader. His damage didn't quiet cut it yet and neither does his levels.

As the Takao began to lead the way, the wanderer straggled a long. Occasionally running, just to catch up to the high leveled player. One of these days, he'll be as strong as him.

Exiting the gates, the wanderer's face quickly gets plowed with scalding winds and course sand. It was so hot and unbearable, it's surprising anyone could stand to open up shop here. But the wanderer's has struggled through here before. He'll make it.
