[F5-PP] Desert Peril (Zandra, Macradon, Seul) <<The Traveler>>

Recommended Posts

The small chamber they had arrived in seemed to be only the entrance of the dungeon, even though the slow falling was like an entrance in itself. Macradon would shrug his shoulders, he wasn't the one who designed the dungeons, so he had not much to say about it, either than that it was quite weird to have it be build like that. He nodded at Zandra as she was asking for a descend down into the dungeon, going further than what they already were. "Aye, sounds like a good plan" he said as the trio would venture even further down into the deep undergrounds of the 5th floor. "I'm amazed that we aren't falling through the floor, down to the fourth ... is that even possible?" he would think for himself, pondering upon a stupid question as he didn't have much else as he was climbing down the hundred meters or so of ladder. Amazed by the view he would receive at the end of the ladder, Macradon could only stand in awe as he saw the majestic ruin stand tall underground with great pillars, supporting a several story tall old ruin. Walls of limestone, sandstone and cobble, all scattered around the area.

"This is amazing, all these dungeons to explore, and we run into something as cool as this!" he said with a wide and impressed smile. "Forget what I said earlier, this is probably why the small entrance to the entrance was there, you have to go WAY more down for something like this to happen!" he thought for himself, addressing his earlier thoughts. Macradon would look up into the great corridor opening, as Zandra proposed, it would be the final room where they would find the boss. Macradon would don his armor after the long downwards journey, getting all his stats back up again, prepping him for battle. His sword on his back would be draw from the harness as he would stand tall in his armor, white and red, with his sword, embed with golden details as the sickle sword was ready to slay. It was like it was slowly acting more and more into Macradon, he had a lust for blood, more and more so after he had received the sword. Either it was the sword that wanted the bloodshed, or it was because of earlier events he had been present at, all those deaths and alike.

Shaking the thoughts out of his head, Macradon would get back into the present. Looking out forward, groups upon groups of Templar Knights would appear, fully clad in maille armor, a greathelm and old rusty swords. Macradon would secure hus sallet down to protect most of his face as he would go into the battle right after Zandra. "Here we go!" Macradon said out loud as he would begin to rush up against another group of mobs. An orange like hue would cover Macradon as he charge upon the 4 man group of knights. "I'll show you how to be a knight!" he shouted at the lesser equipped knights in front of him. Two horizontal sweeps would cleave straight through all the 4 knights, taking them out like it was nothing. Scattering into pixels, crystals and polygons, Macradon would look over at the last remaining group of knights "They're the last, let's take care of them and rush the boss!" he said and would begin to circle around the knights to make Zandra's attack more plausible.

Rin stood there watching as they all entered the cave, the vastness of this expanse  was shocking her thanks to the large ruins that were inside that seemingly were written up. She never would have guessed that these mobs would be living in such a fortress like ruin which seemingly acted as a catacomb underneath the portion of the desert they had tucked themselves away in. As her eyes  widened in shock she merely continued forth through the wondrous caverns, her own body gravitating to between Zandra and Macradon hoping that would be the most  safe area when the combat started up. As she shot side glances to both her companions she began to wince her hands reaching down to her stomach, it was odd she almost felt nauseous in this virtual world from the odious sensation that the dungeon gave off. As they came across the enemies though her eyes lit up beneath her mask in fear. They were templar's so human like that she now thought of them as the fallen players defending the treasures here as she began to wince shivering. She turned her back upon the combat knowing that their would be no good toe come next by watching the two single handedly slaughter the foes.

As she heard the first slash through the Templar she mewled and began wandering backwards through the dungeon, hoping that she would find a deposit instead where she could start finding some materials to take her mind off this little excursion. The only thought that managed to pass through her mind though was how these NPC's could very well just be recycled by the Cardinal system for those who had passed on through this life.

"No, no must do something else not enough time to think about those types of thoughts now Rin. Go search for anything shiny that is glimmering in the walls surely it would be useful in the crafting side of the world."

Zandra saw Macradon following her example and delete the second group of four templars, turning them into an ocean of crystals. ‘’Nice one.’’ She said to the smithy. Thou, of course he would wipe them in just one strike. It would be rude to think otherwise of one of her fellow frontliners. She looked at the third part of their team, but it turned out the cat had started to search for materials on the surrondings instead of engaging combat. Just as fine. I don’t want her death on my conscience. The noirette thougth and turned towards the third group of Templars. ‘’Leave that to me Mac.’’

A scretch was herd when Zandras armoured boots pushed her forward as she activated her charge skill. The Templars haven’t even raised their shields before a huge axe flew thru the air, striking the enemy group from below like an uppercut. Just like against the previous group and the one Macradon just slayed, all four exploded after one strike. ‘’That’s the last on…’’ she got abrupted by a sound, it sounded like running boots against rock-floor. When she looked up, a trio of Templars appeared from the opening that they thougth was the boss room. Zandra looked at the whitehaired knight. ‘’Seems you have to finish this up.’’ She said and stretched out her tongue.

Macradon grinned as more templars appeared. He started out a quick sprint that would take him up a lot of different stairs. It did not take long before he would be up close to the templars. He would draw his sword and place it in a reverse back grip with the sword leaning down onto the ground behind him. He would initiate into a fast and incredible sprint as his <Charge> skill would activate, making him run quite fast, even up a somewhat vertical wall. He would get all the way up to the templars as his sword glowed a bright light as Macradon was about to initiate a sword art to be used. Macradon was much faster than the templar knights he was up against, it didn't seem like they had any chance on defending against Macradon and his high numbers, it was practically impossible for them to deal with him in any kind of way.

He got up to them before they had even noticed him arrive, albeit him not having any sneak and hide, it probably seemed like they were focusing on the one who had taken out most of their allies, which in this case seemed to be Zandra. Macradon would rush to the remaining templars with his sword out, ready to strike down the mobs he was facing. Two vertical sweeps were more than enough to take them out, dealing more damage than he needed to take them out with. Now, standing up in front of the boss room, Macradon would look back at the two others. Rin, who had begun looking for materials, and Zandra, who had nearly just slain a group of templars. "Let's go take out the boss!" Macradon shouted down to Zandra. Rin was welcome to take a look, but it didn't seem like she wanted to have anything to do with fighting.

Rin blushed and peered back as she saw the last few Templar's now being slain by the white knight, Macradon. Zandra herself had to explain how he needed to finish off the last group as they all shattered into pixels. A shallow thumping in her heart now making her mewl weakly as she saw the rest of the group start the boss fight of the dungeon. Rin now glanced about the dark dungeon before giving a deep sigh. She slowly crept up behind Zandra now following the two in hoping that the boss wasn't a threat to her as she was still mostly terrified with the fights.

"I'm just going to sit back near the door till you two finish it off if you both don't mind. I"m sorry for not being as helpful to you during this fight but I just don't want to get in the way of the rest of you."

She stated plainly now wrapping her long sleeves up about her upper torso as she sorta gave up on her search for materials which was a shame because she need them to keep her business afloat.

As the group Zandra just killed had faded out into nothingness, Macradon was almost at the last trio they was there to wipe out. And he seemed to be handling them quite well. A smirk on Zandras face as she started to run up the many stairs that led to Macradon that waited for them outside the entrance to the boss room.

"Nice one there Mac. We took them all out quite easily right."she said and patted his back armour twice. "That sounds like a perfect idea." Zandra said as he suggested they went to take out the boss. Zandra took the lead into the boss room.

Just like with the area behind them, the room was amazing to look at. It seemed they had entered something looking like the inside of a cathredal. Thou the walls was wondowless, ofcourse they was, after all, they was underground. But they wasnt alone in the room. On the opposite end they saw a person,or rather a back of a person, that was kneeling infront of the altar. Zandra slowly walked forward. He must be the boss and she took a tight grip on her axe. When they was only twenty meters away from the person that had a heavy chainmail down to the knees and a white tunic with a red cross on the back and chest. The boss wielded a two handed greatsword with steelblade and golden hilt. Thou what surprised her most was the face. This was a girl. A female templar commander with red long hair flowing down her shoulders. The templaress looked at the trio to decide who to attack. Zandra glanced over her shoulder. Rin seemed to be out of aggro zone, but you couldnt be to careful. So she slammed the bottom of her axe on the stonfloor and let out a long howl. Next moment, the swordwoma charged and stroke Zandra powerfully in the side. Thou every damage got mitigated except one tiny health point. "Your turn Mac!" She shouted to the smitht.

Rin seemed to stop looking for materials, but kept somewhat close to Zandra and Macradon as the two fighters would get into the boss room and engage the boss of the dungeon. There he stood, a templar commander, presumably the captain of the templar knights they had just defeated, this wasn't going to be that bad, they could easily get through this who no hassle and finish off the boss in no time. If Macradon's calculations were correct, Macradon would get to hit with an attack once, and Zandra would be able to take it out with the second retaliation. Macradon would try out a sword art he hadn't tried before, it was quite new for him. He had used it once against Avarious in the floor boss fight to make room for Dom to take out the boss, but now the sword arts had changed slightly in the recent hotfix that had gone through.

Setting up his sword on his shoulder, Macradon would rush in as Zandra had pulled a Howl at the boss, keeping focus towards her, which was fine. The two fighters were more than capable of taking care of this boss and its damage, so the two and their armor would be enough to take care of any damage the boss would be able to deal. Macradon began a sprint with his sword over his shoulder and engage in combat. As he got up close to the templar commander, Macradon would swing his sword with such a wrath in his strike that a long and strong shock wave would shoot out when he made impact upon the knight. His sword cleaved through the knights like butter, one hard and strong horizontal swing that would annihilate most of Macradon's foes. Macradon would see that he nearly took out three fourths of the templars health with his single strike. "Zandra, take him out!" Macradon shouted as he was stuck in his recovery position after the sword art.

Rin stood behind the two warriors before seeing the Boss appear a stronger, larger version of their previous foes. Rin quickly sprinted off toward the corner of the room now wedging herself in and attempting to hide within the dark shadows of the ruins. It was no match for her companions but she had no means of striking down a foe like that without the assistance of these two.  As she curled her toes within her boots she now whimpered hating all this violence, she wasn't a combatant and she frankly wasn't expecting any fights when she first went on this mission but here she was now staring into the back of her knees because of a dungeon raid that they discovered while they were waiting out the sandstorm. Although they made quick work still, the walking in itself would have been enough passage of time in her mind for the storm to have past.

"C-can you please just end this already, I-I want to get out of these ruins now!"

She shouted as she had put a fairly large gap between herself, Macradon, Zandra and the monster now as she just shivered in the corner of the tomb.

Zandra glanced over her shoulder as she herd a shout. It was Rin that now had backed away from them to the corner of the boss room. There she sat and shivered. She ahd said that she wanted them to finish this so they all could get out of this. Zandra looked back at the mighty Templar commander, she felt guilty to be the reason that their fellow traveler wasn’t comfortable with the situation. Of course Zandra was like that as well when she was at the same level. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She couldn’t let the rage against the boss take the upper hand. Rage make you reckless and its much harder to hit when youre not fully consentrated. With Macradons comment as a starting-shot, Zandra darted forward with her charge skill activated. ‘’Im gonna delete you out of this virtual world you little piece of s***!!!’’ she shouted as she activated her strongest sword art. Her axe flew thru the air against the chest of the dungeon boss. The strike dealt a lot of damage against it. But just a few moments later, a burst of energy from the strike dealt the same amount of damage again. Zandra watched as its remaining health quickly drained down to zero and it exploded into a thousands blue and white crystals. ‘’Very well, I guess that’s it.’’ She said and smiled at her team-mates with a cheerful smile.

A sigh of relief would escape Macradon's mouth as he would the glance upon Rin, hiding in the corner. "The fight is over ... let's get back to safety" Macradon said with the most calming voice he could muster. Walking over to Rin to give her a hand so she could get back up. If she got up before Macradon got to her, he would just begin to walk out of the boss room. He would walk out of the room, down the many stair for him then to get to the long, extremely long, ladder. "Alright ... I think I'll just go up first ..." he said to the other two, as it could become awkward if he were to be climbing below either of them. He would doff his armor so he could climb the ladder as fast as he possibly could, scaling through the meters in a span of a few minutes before he would reach the supposedly "top" before another ladder would lead up to the opening of the small rock formation. Macradon got up that ladder, pushed the wares out of the opening in the formation to get out. Indeed, the storm had settled, but it was getting dark, evening was upon them.

Rin's eyes wandered from her knees to the boss, it looked like they were prepared to end this any second and that was just what Zandra had planned as she dispersed the boss into pixel's with her final sword art. Zandra's harsh words to the mob cut deep into Rin's heart as she now mewled and buried her face deeper into her cat costume before glancing up. The monster had been slain, although she still felt some sense of lost in the disposal of it as if they extinguished another human life in the video game rather then just a bunch of binary digits which constructed the boss. Her large battle axe was quite menacing and she frankly never would have thought that people could ever lift such bulky weapon least of all a girl that was roughly her own size. The cheerful smile which she offered back partially reassured her that she was indeed among friends now giving a deep sigh and wiping her face of a few scattered tears. As she now stood up and slowly walked behind them both she continued to show rather heavy breathing before Mac spotted the exit from this dungeon. As Mac began to climb up the ladder she began to regret her own outfit choice she slowly took a step up and follow afterwards beneath the skirt was underwear she made that basically matched her own suit's face if the other girl dared to glance up.

The boss was dead and the group of three adventurers had successfully completed the requirements to complete the dungeon. The only thing left now was to move out of underground. The whitehaired man took the lead and headed out from the boss room and down the lots of stairs that just a few minutes ago was guarded by more then a dozen of Templars. But for her and Macradon it had been pretty easy. Thou she didn’t knew how the third, Rin, was feeling now. She seemed pretty scared at the end of the boss fight. Thou Zandra took the place as the rear-guard, looking at the backs of the two other playe… persons. It was completely quiet except Macradon that broke the silence telling he takes the lead upp the long ladder. Second followed Rin and third Zandra started to climb up last. The trio seemed to climb forever it felt for Zandra. That the ladder would never end. And they climbed in complete silence as well.

As everyone steadily got up from the underground sub-dungeon, a wide screen with the text "Conratulations" appeared in front of Macradon outside in the desert. A small reward screen would be shown as well. This was the rewards for clearing the sub-dungeon, so it seemed fair for Rin and Zandra to see the rewards screen. Macradon would let it stay for now so they could be able to split the reward equally for everyone. The only thing they couldn't split was already awarded separately, Skill Points. "Hey guys, I think we got out rewards up here" he said down to the other before anyone of them had exited the small shelter they had been "camping" inside.

Quote

Congratulations!
You have cleared an Advanced Dungeon on the 5th floor.
The following rewards will be awarded you:

Whenever Zandra would come back up again, Macradon would hand over her mask again, as it was a great help for them to find the dungeon. He would await both of their appearances so they could discuss how they would eventually split the dungeon's rewards between them.

Rin glanced toward the heads up display that was now displaying all the reward for the dungeon she blinked rather shocked as she wasn't use to making much or any col except while at her shop selling off goods. Even that was running slow do to her severe lack of experience in skills and materials. She always seemed to fail before she started to succeed. A deep heavy sigh would be muffled by her mask till she now felt her boot sink into the sand it was already nearing rising of the sun upon the horizon which meant that the desert heat would probably be back upon them by the time they made it back to Armadillo. This was one floor she wasn't going regret avoiding for the rest of her life since she was still practicing her movements. Perhaps it was nearing the time when she would ask some of the other players to help figure out how to fight other monsters and people in a defensive nature. This wasn't really the time though as she was growing quite weary from the long days worth of adventure, maybe another. day.

"Thank you both for helping me through this."

As the last of the three to get up, Zandra took place between her two companions. There she was met by the reward screen that showed the rewards for completing the dungeon. Her attention went to Mac as he handed over her mask. She had totaly forgot she had borrowed it out to him. "Thank you." She said and then turned back to the screen. After a few moments she took a few steps forward, passed the screen. "You two can split it between you. Im not in need for col or materials right now anyway." She said and then bent down and picked up one of the crates. "Im only glad that Ive helped someone to get thru this quest and the Skill points from the dungeon is enough reward for me." Thou that wasnt completly true. As the leading alchemist she was always in need of more materials. But if they would split the rewards even, it would only give her two, and that was barely making any difference at all for her. Probably it would be worth more to her two friends.

Shrugging his shoulder at Zandra's reply, Macradon would only take it and split it as evenly as possibly with Rin. Macradon needed to Col and the Mats, so it wouldn't be bad to take something for it, and it was him who actually found the dungeon, but Zandra who luckily found the actual entrance. He would shrug his shoulder and let out a audible small chuckle as the even share of Col and Mats would be given to Macradon and Rin. There was no mistake to this, Rin would probably skyrocket up the levels after a journey like this, and both Macradon and Zandra would reach levels above what many could even muster themselves to reach. The fight from long time ago had now become what it is today. 50 levels, quite the height for something like this. The level-gap between Zandra, Macradon and Rin was a thing anyone would be able to spot. Not only the outfits they wore, both Macradon and Zandra had a more serious vibe to them, and Rin with her cat-suit wasn't giving out the same vibe as the others.

Rin smiled behind to Zandra who was offering up her supplies as she hopped over and wrapped her long sleeves about the woman now mewing pleasantly as she snuggled with her. It was comfortable feeling the outfit now press soft and silk upon it's touch to her skin now purring pleasantly before glancing back toward Macradon and Zandra's exchange. Now she had more col and material which she never was able to must on her own. The tight hug then ended as she slipped away rather flustered from embracing someone in such an embarrassing fashion. A soft stutter of an apology now whispered out from behind the mask that was also muffling the sound of her voice since she wasn't the greatest at projecting. With a hop and skip she now slouched her foot sinking slightly into the sand to set her off balance as she appeared like the leaning tower of Katz.

"Sorry, I'm just really grateful that you were willing to spare the reward for me miss. Anyway I suggest we all get back out of this desert and order some nice cold lemonade when we get back to the city what do you both think?"

There seemed that the cat they was traveling with was filled of joy because Zandra refused the reward in shape of col and materials so the other two would get more. Since it was more useful for them compared to Zandra. The only use she would have for it now would be to craft in her shop. But why would she do that? She wouldnt get it sold anyway so why waste materials on that? When it came to col, the main reason you need much of it is if you wanna buy a house and uogrades to the house. But since Zandra already had maxed out their, she only needed for gear. And when it came to gear, she was fine with what she had at the moment and she pretty recently had picked up some food to last for awhile. So she could just let the other two get it.

"That sounds like a nice idea kitten. Im thirsty as f*** after this long walk in this dry sun frying desert. Lemonade would feel like heavens drink. Do you have any good place you know about where we should go Rin?"

Giggling lightly at the two girls and their small chatter for something cold to drink, Macradon would nod at them "Aye, something cold would be nice to quench my thirst, and maybe something to sate my hunger" Macradon would say, using the most weird words as he possibly could think of. "Or ... you know, just get something to take care of my thirst and my hunger" he said with his tongue sticking out. Maybe Rin would have some good place to go and take a drink. He would look up at the baking sun above them, they had already been out here for at least 12 hours for the sun to come back up from the storm ... or Maybe Macradon's internal clock wasn't running that well. He would sigh, open up his visor and wipe some sweat off of his face as he would then close the visor again, shielding him from the sun while also cooking himself in the steel armor.

Rin clapped her hands together, a soft sound of pillow hitting pillow as she wasn't quite sure of any obvious place upon the third floor. She put the sleeve to her chin now contemplating this as she began to realize that her mind was vacant of most restaurants. As she reached her arms about through their arms now huggling their limbs tight against her and pulling them both through the desert.

"I don't have many places off the top of my head but I'm sure we will find some place after all of this. Perhaps they will find us as I'm sure they will see us thirsty travelers wandering through the streets."

Rin then swayed back and forth arm and arm with her companions as they had finally completed this great journey which meant after it was all said and done she would be far stronger and have the ability to learn more.
