Edwyn led the way out of the city, heading south through plains of grass. In the distance a hazy gray blob appeared on the horizon, and after a little while the gray blob revealed itself to be a large and dark forest. The trees were tall and ancient looking with a canopy so thick that no light reached the forest floor. There were no branches below 10 feet above the ground and the ground was covered in a thick carpet of springy moss and patches of dirt. When Alex and Ed reached the forest it seemed deathly still, no sound could be heard, and nothing moved. "Ready to get started?" Ed asked at the edge of the forest.

"Let's get going then!" Edwyn exclaimed. "I can't wait to find my new friend somewhere in this forest." Edwyn didn't know exactly where to find the dire wolves that lived in this forest, or where he and Alex were going to find a lizard for Alex to bond, but the only way to find out was to start walking. With that in mind, he started into the forest, looking around for any sign of the beasts that they were looking for.

Alex walked slowly toward the magnificent beast. It was a giant tiger looking beast, with armor all over. it had 20 HP. Alex gripped his sword and ran at it. He did a 3 hit combo doing normal damage, each of the three slashes causing a loss of 1 health.

"Edwyn switch!"

Edwyn charged forward as soon as Alex called out "Switch." He quickly spun his spear using the butt to hit the beast in the head and then quickly spinning it again and shifting his grip so that he could complete a stabbing motion a couple of times for a 2-hit combo, each stab did one damage.

monster and Alex's turn.

Alex ran toward the beast. He was going to go for a 4-hit combo which brought a series of slashes making a square. as he ran at the beast, he studied it's actions. Each of the hits dealt a critical, causing a total of 8 health lost for the beast. The beast locked eyes with Alex and threw him up into the air, dealing five damage. The beast charged toward Edwyn.

Edwyn tried rolling out of the way as the beast charged towards him, but it still caught him a glancing blow with a swipe of its claws doing 4 damage to him. As soon as he was able to regain his feet though, he got down on a knee and waited while it charge him again. He braced the butt of the spear against the ground and watched as the beast, unable to stop its charge impaled itself upon the spear, which only did 1 damage, but since the beast couldn't get off the spear it was caught, and wide open for Alex

Edwyn watched Alex miss and groaned, just then the spear was ripped out of his hands by the beast. It tried charging him again, but since the spear was still stuck inside of it, it was moving slower and Ed dodged easily. He then quickly equipped two of his shorter stabbing spears. He immediately threw one, which stuck into the creature's back dealing one damage.

Edwyn watched as Alex attacked again and missed again, things were not going as planned. Then it turned towards him and charged again. Ed dove out of the way but quickly got to one knee and fired off two quick shots with his throwing knives. But, unbelievably, both missed their target.

Edwyn charged the beast while Alex was attacking it, using Alex's attack as a distraction. He used one of his short spears to stab at the beast, aiming right in between its ribs. Unfortunately, Edwyn tripped over a rock before he could get within reach of the beast, and hit the ground, rolling back to his feet, but he was too late to finish the attack.
