[PP-F1] Gathering, part II <Itzal, Zandra, Hakai, Beatbox, Kasier>

As the group moved to another location on the first floor, Itzal turned to the black haired woman.  "Hey, I never actually got your name did I?  I'm Itzal if I hadn't introduced myself.  Nice to meet you!"  Beatbox had shown Itzal that he should probably stick with gathering materials for now.  Until he mastered all the scout skills and began working on getting the damage mods, he couldn't exactly do much else.  It was fine though.  Opal reminded him how important scouts were and that was all he needed.  Not to mention he had Kasier.  Itzal led the group to a section of the forest where the trees dropped materials more often, were spread apart a good amount, and there were a decent amount of mobs.  Itzal turned to the group.  "Well, here it is.  I'll be gathering this time around.  I'd suggest we break into two groups if I may.  A group of two fighting mobs and a group of three gathering materials, or vice versa.  That's my suggestion at least, we don't have to."

Hakai spoke up as they walked after listening to Itzal's suggestion. "Perhaps we could just go after wood? It seems like we have more than enough fat and a lot of wood, but a lot less wood than fat." She stated. "Of course, its up to the rest of you. Either way I plan to be attempting to gather wood." She turned to Beatbox and gave him a smile. She felt like he was the sort of person she should get closer to. She could sense that he had more than a bit of potential. She glanced back at the rest of the group, wondering if maybe they had caught on to the two of them before returning to looking for materials. She leaned down and picked up a piece of perfect noble wood. She looked at Beatbox and smirked, holding the material up. "Looks like this place is good for gathering." She said, tossing the wood at Beatbox playfully. She was surprisingly having fun, probably because they were gathering as a group and she wasn't soloing like normal.

I stretched my arms high into the air. Then I rolled my shoulders to soften up the muscles. Well, maybe the character didnt rely needed it, but it was a psykologically feeling behind it, so to speak. Hur eyes went to Itzal. As he introduced himself again. Well, last time you probably cant call a proper introduction. I had darted away just seconds after we met. I showed my teeths in a smile. ‘’Hello Itzal. Its nice to meet you too. Myself, I am Zandra.’’ As he continued speaking he had a plan how to organize their contiouing searching. ‘’Well, you can do how you want, one thou is sure, I wont fight any more. Not today at least. It feels like tomorrow Im gonna have training-ache on places I didn’t even knew you could.’’ Didn’t knew if training-ache was the right word, but I couldn’t find out any better description just like that. Next the blondie spoke up. ‘’Yeah, youre probably right. We have quite some faqt and are in need of wood more the fat. But you cant get to much of either of them. So as you said, its your choice.’’

When he heard both women's suggestions he nodded.  "Alright then.  I'm no use in combat so I'll focus on gathering as well.  Zandra?  That's a cool name."  And with that the two women began to search for materials.  Itzal stretched his limbs before beginning to search himself.  As he searched he turned to Kasier with a smile.  He wasn't sure if she'd join him or not but he did know that he didn't exactly wait for her to tell him her name when he asked her to call him by his own real name.  If she decided to join him then he'd ask her.  It was fine if she went to talk with Zandra or the others though.  He took pride in his ability to adapt to different scenarios.  Not to mention he was used to being alone.  As he searched he smiled when he spotted two noble wood hidden in some bushes.  He guessed that they must have fallen from the trees into the bushes.  He reached down and pulled the two amazing quality wood out and inserted them into his inventory.  Well, that was two on his end.

Kasier sighed as she felt a sweat dropping from her forehead although it was impossible for such a thing to happen. No such body fluids flow from bodies in this game... It was simply not programmed this way. A sigh followed as she felt the sun baring on her head and it didn't help that she was wearing dark starter cloth and heavy armor either. No matter how tempted she was to take off the heavy armor due to the heat, she knew that danger loomed at every angle in this game and death was not something that she wanted to meet so soon into the game. Or rather never actually. Kasier looked around... They had moved to an area where wood was more often and so, she assumed that they would go for a lot of wood and try to get as many as they can. Besides, it was practically the only thing that she could do as a healer who really didn't deal damage. It was a relief that she had mastered healing fully before the actual fight started though. Now she would be able to heal whenever someone needs the healing. "Hey Felix," She whispered when she got close to Itzal. "Don't you think that blonde girl and Beatbox are getting awfully close together? I think her name was Hakai... I think they are really getting close together." She finished, watching as Hakai threw a wooden log to the other player. It appeared that the groups were already set. Kasier smiled at Zandra in yet another greetings and to show respect for the healer who was much higher leveled than her.

When Kasier came up to him and talked in a low voice he listened to her and looked to the two blondes.  He nodded.  "Yeah it seems that way doesn't it?  If they do get together I'll be happy.  Beatbox has been...  Off since Alisa suddenly left.  And yeah her name's Hakai.  But what's your name Kasier?  I didn't have time to ask you during that fight."  Itzal believed in equivalent exchange, but this was different.  He loved her and didn't want to call her by some username...  At least when they were alone that was.  Not to mention he believed it was important that they remember who they really were.  By being called a username for so long, one might end up thinking that this was their name rather than a username.  And therefore begin the road to forgetting the real world entirely.  While it was good to enjoy the world they were given, one must remember the real world as well.  As he thought about it his eyes landed on a sparkle inside a bush.  When he walked over to investigate he smiled as he spotted a few song crystals together.  He took them out and placed them in his inventory.

"Hihi. You think my name is cool Itzal? To be honest, your name are way cooler, and more unique. Itzal. How did you come up with it?" I asked him. There was so many different usernames. About ten thousand actually. And each one of them have a real human beeing behind that choosed the name. And most of us have different reasons of how we chooses the names. Then I remembered, there actually was quite few that I knew why and how they created their names. "Well about that. How did you girls pick your names?" I knew it is like tabu to tall about your real name. Mostly you only reveal it to very good and close friends. But talk about the username would be fine. "But of course, if you dont want to tell Im fine with that too." I added to guard myself if they thougth I was to personal.

When Zandra started talking to him about his name and even asked how he came up with it, he looked at her with a bit of surprise.  Actually, he wondered why it was a surprise, and why nobody asked before.  "Um.  Well the word is Basque for shadow.  When I first entered SAO my goal was to be a sort of rogue character, strike and destroy from the shadows, and be the best at it too.  However things didn't exactly turn out how I had hoped, obviously.  Still the name worked out since nobody knew the language it's from."  Then she went to ask the women about their usernames and Itzal wondered how Kasier would respond.  As he waited he went ahead and searched for some more materials.  As he made his way around however he didn't spot anything.  Not one solitary material.  This didn't happen as often anymore though it still happened.

I raised my eyebrows as I herd the story behind his username. "Oh, thats cool. So you planned to be rogue ish player from the start. Guess what?" I took a look at my current equipment. A heavy armour, made to get enemies attack me to trigger the flame auras thorns. And on my back hang a twohanded battleaxe. Probably the heaviest weapon kind in this world. And in her inventory there was a braclet focused on healing others. I couldnt stop a laugh exit over my lips. "Haha. At the start, I planned to be a rogue as well. Have always been a huge fan of those in games. High attackspeed and dart in and out of combat. Specially like teleportation skill. Like in a  game I played something was called shadowstep. There, either thru a skill or a shortbow I could shadowstep to other places on the battlefield. With a pistol in my offhand I could teleport right infront of my opponent." A smile on my face when I remembered the days long time ago. "And now Im a heavy armour greataxe wielder."

"Oh yeah, I was planning on telling you. Guess I kind of forgot. It's nice that you are curious of what my name is though... Shows me that you care." Kasier said, not wanting to sound agitated and didn't plan to either. However, her voice might have come out a bit agitated for some reason. It didn't matter though, Itzal was sure to sense that there was nothing wrong with her. "My name is Jenna." She whispered, deciding that it was finally time that the two moved on to first name basis instead of calling each other by their usernames. "Not as unique as Felix, but I'm sure you won't mind calling me that." She joked, looking up at Zandra when she asked in general why the players around her had chosen their usernames. Kasier found this quite amusing actually, she had never really thought about backstories regarding usernames, perhaps she will consider the username of somebody when meeting someone for the first time.

"Well, I originally wanted Kaiser, which is the name for German Emperor. Since that was my goal in the start, to become a queen over the land. I mean, that was how this game was originally meant to be played... Lots of competition and player killing to become the best. That is, until the game became what it is now where death in game becomes death outside. Anyway, back to my username... Kasier is simply a more feminine version of Kaiser." Kasier explained, finding material gathering to be way too boring for her to complete, so she might as well talk a lot.

’’Oh, that is a another way to look at it. But you are probably right. If not game death and real death was the same thing, then probably would be a lot more player killing. It already is quite a bit.’’ I went silent for a few moments, thinking of a special white-haired player that I thougth was my friend, then it turned out she had joined the laughing coffin. When I herd that, I couldn’t believe it, but when the leader of the pk-guild interrupted a previous boss meeting  to take her back to their hq, the rumors Ive herd about her got confirmed. ‘’But thanks to this health update, its not as easy to oneshot other players anymore. Thou, the higher we reach, the higher the damage output is going to be, but who knows if our health going to be able to keep up.’’ Not only was a question if we would manage to keep up, also all the time new, low leveled players appeared, those was the ones that was in danger the most.

As I was lost in thougth, I suddenly woke up, what I saw surprised me. I haven’t seen these creatures in about a year. When I last saw them, it was before sword art update, so dealing high damage was quite the challenge. Four little nepents was standing a few meters away. ‘’Excuse me Kas and Itzal.’’ I said before darting at the group, slying all of them with my weakest AoE and then walk back to the couple, on my reward screen I red four each of materials and normal fat. ‘’Oh, now we have some normal fat as well.’’
