[PP-F5] The Theft Chronicles <<Arabian Nights, First Night>>

Recommended Posts

Placing his spear up, he would attempt to use the AOE attack he had been using this whole fight, since it turned out to have a mass effect on the battle. However, the energy bar would blink when he tried to carry it out once again, showing that it waas completely useless since he did not have the sufficient energy to carry out the task. As a result, he could aim for a weaker AoE attack in exchange for a low mass of energy, or strike one at a time. There were only two of them left, so striking them one by one was not too bad of an idea in his opinion, since Jonathan can then handle the last of the two. So Sey lunged forward at one of the two, piercing with a mass amount of force behind the blow to knock the thief to the ground and causing it to shatter to pieces of data once again.

Jonathan took a step backward and allowed for Sey to attack. The snow haired player struck forward and killed the next their leaving only one left for Jonathan to deal with. The thief began to retreat, scaling the wall to the right of Jonathan in an attempt to escape. Now where do you think you are going?" Jonathan dove in front of the creature and slammed his weapon in to its chest. The thief slumped over immediately and shattered. Jonathan sheathed his weapon and glanced over at Sey. "Well that battle was much easier than expected. Well, why don't we go and free this brother over here." Jonathan nodded over to Sey to do the freeing since it was his quest in general. Jonathan was just helping him through it.

Seemed pretty easy. Now all they had to do was bring out the brother still in the caves. "You got it!" He would agree with the blonde tank as he continued to walk through the caves as a moderately fast pace. There was no other real rush other than the fact that there was col involved. The brother was not in any trouble unless the both of them actually tried to kill him. That was a route according to the quest. Though he was an npc, he was innocent of anything. It went against the code of human moral codes to kill the brother. So he decided against it. Sey would continue before he heard a voice out in the distance. "THANK YOU!" The male voice would exclaim as a sudden man would sudden charge towards the both of them. An HUD screen would pop up with two options. Hero and Liar path. Sey instantly made the choice for him and Jonathan, the hero branch. Once that had been done, their next objective would be revealed. "All right Jonathan, lets bring him back to the bar. We need to get him to his brother.."

Ooc- We need to each have three posts out of the combat.... There is still two more thieves to fight on the way returning the man....

Jonathan watched as Sey unbound the man and the man immediately began to praise them. Jonathan smiled to the man but said absolutely nothing. The man was an NPC and only would be triggered to say something upon saying the right things to him. This one would most likely respond to about anything, but Jonathan did not want to speak to the man really. Eventually though, he let a few words to the man. "We shall be escorting you to your brother Ali, please refrain from attempting to escape."  Jonathan let with a smile and turned to Sey. So, should we look around the thief camp, or head straight to the destination. The decision is completely up to you and I am unbiased." Jonathan let the man decide while he scanned the area to make sure no thieves were advancing on them. They appeared to be okay for now, but he bet there was still a few more. Four was too small for this large of a camp.

"There are bound to be some more later on you now. It is probably best we be on alert. Once they found out about what just happened to their prisoners, the real chase is on. I doubt we can escape them, but we should be able to clear out most of them." The snow-haired player would explain, as if it were fact. However, in reality, it was nothing but a theory. He'd just simple shrug his shoulders as he would continue to walk, his spear in hand as he would walk forward through the scene. It was unfairly quit, which made him a little tense and paranoid. Placing his feet firmly on the ground, he was prepared to spring at any time. Though his energy was a little bit low, he was going to fight if needed. But slowly, he felt the energy bar gaining momentum. It would only be a matter of time before it was completely filled up. And from there, the thieves worst nightmare becomes a reality if they still dare to block the way.

Jonathan watched as Sey predicted there would be more thieves to fight, and he predicted many of them. That was where Jonathan disagreed. Jonathan felt like thieves would hide in bunches together, but they would not have massive groups or else they rsik being spotted together. Jonathan believed there would be a few more thieves, but not a rather large bunch. In any case, it was no worth arguing or even mentioning something to Sey. Jonathan kept himself on alert, knowing if they were ambushed, they would be protectecd. The NPC probably did not fight so they would most likely have to protect him, and at all costs. Jonathan turned to Sey. Spot anything of interest. In my short glance, I did not catch anything to fancy. Nothing really of interest available except taking this guy home. Jonathan spotted a golden ring on the man's finger. Sey, you have met.... Jonathan drawn off. This man knew Hikoru, but He probably had no idea that the man had once been orange, and it was fom this very quest that he became orange.

"Met whom? You accidentally cut off your sentence".He would explain, tilting his head to the side, now wondering who was it that he may or may not have met in the game. To divert attention of of a topic, cutting away at the sentence was not the best approach to take, to say the least. Though if anything, why did this quest have anything to do with whoever it was as well? The timing was either really unfortunately off, it was either about his initiation soon to take place according to Itzal, or the person he was thinking of was related to this quest in some way, shape, or form. The latter two would have his interest, but the first and former unfortunately was just as likely as the other two. And the snow-haired player was willing to trust the blonde paladins explanation, provided it seem a reasonable enough explanation after all. Even Sey can use semantics to break arguments to pieces.

Jonathan looked over to Sey who seemed curious of what he was about to say. He looked over to Sey. He knew the man was smart, but the blond was beginning to learn that he payed attention in detail. It was a virtue. Itzal did the same thing, and they knew and seen a lot of things that Jonathan did not in Aincrad. His smile faded and Jonathan replied, "I was going to say something, but it was not in my place to say or even make that connection. I was referring to the NPC's gold ring, and that is all that I can say when it coes to there." Keeping things quick and light, the blond noticed that his energy had been refilled and was great for combat. Hey, I am ready to get this show on the road whe you are. The faster we get this kid back the better." Jonathan waved over the NPC, and began to walk in the direction they had come. They did not want to stay in the camp forever, in case the thieves respawned, or more cae in. He was not sure how it would work. Or they would take so long that there would be two brothers spawned.

"Understandable. I won't press any further on it." Sey would explain before he would agree with getting the kid back to where he belonged. Moving out towards the exit of the scene, he held his spear up in case any encounters occurred. Though he had no intentions of making the first strike. Turning his back around, he would call out to Jonathan. "Aim to take the first strike if you feel, I need you to build up hate before I can make any huge moves or things of the sort." The snow-haired player would call out and explain before turning around, seeing the encounters already in front of him. It also seems like they heard that part of the plan as well. Well shoot, it was all or nothing in this battle. He leaped out towards the kid, holding his weapon in front of his face to prevent him from getting harmed. "Get em Jonathan! I'll follow you in a bit!" Which was the truth, he just needed to wait for the right moment.

Jonathan walked toward the exit, feeling the light of the day, and unbearable heat of the fifth floor. Jonathan groaned in the misery of the heat, and simultaneously, two more thieves dropped down, preventing their escape. Jonathan sighed and pulled out his weapon. We literally just took on four of you, what makes you two think that you can best us?" Jonathan waved the NPC back and away from the battle. These mobs would fall rather quickly he believed. The blond would not attack though, Sey was waiting for him to gain some hate, and tanks we all about the hate, bout that hate. With them, there was no trouble. He let out and angered <<Howl>> and took charge of the thieves allowing for Sey to make an attack, without being attacked in return. Go get him Snow." The blond then came up with a christmas song, because it was around that time of year. He's Mr. White Christmas, He's Mr. Snow....

"Snow is on the scene! Yaaaaah!" He'd exclaim as he would leap out from behind, spear behind his head before lashing it out towards the two of them using the Tribal Fury AoE attack once again. It was not a direct and clean hit, but it was enough to send the both of them away from him, knocking them to the ground once again before he placed up the spear, prepared for the retaliation against Jonathan. The most hate was developed by the tank after all. "Enemies incoming! Brace for impact!" If not for the fact that he was not in combat, he would not be screaming. He wasn't really screaming because of the fact that the tank needed to be warned, he was sure that he could handle himself. But screaming was fun, and something he never got to do too much in the real world. Why miss his chance now when it was appropriate?

Jonathan watched as the man darted forward and struck the four enemies with ease. Their health dropped slowly and Jonathan took is turn in an attack. Jonathan darted forward, heading for the closest. The Thief jumped backwards, and ended with a backroll away from him. Jonathan growled and backed up. This was why he needed to get his Accuracy item ASAP. He could never hit in battle even with creatures as weak as this. You got it Sey, Sorry thast I missed. Kind of having a moment of uselessness. I need to go and see Birdie to have it fixed. Probably the only way. Jonathan mentally cursed himself once more for being a tnak. He was literally only useful in boss fights, not in any other field. Once again the giant meatshield.

Seems like the task could not be completed by the tank, and he needed to conserve his energy while he still could. Provided he did not get in battle for a little bit, he was able to use the aoe attack twice at his disposal rather than just the one time. And that could serve to be extremely useful for the future in battle. "I'll stick to the sidelines then. I need to regain some energy, keep trying, I am sure you will get to them eventually." He explained as he saw the bar of energy gaining extremely slowly, thanks to the fact that they were in battle. Out of battle, it would charge up way faster. But he was not one to complain, they were going to win, it was just a matter of how long it would take for that to be the case. And judging by the enemies, it was not going to be too long.

Jonathan looked over to the adapter who claimed he needed to restore energy. Jonathan shrugged. He had forgotten the level differences due to the fact that they were both so close when it came to damage. Jonathan sighed and slashed a couple of times at his target, but which to now surpirse, the thief dodged every attack. This is where they needed Beat or Ikoru to just come and one shot these guys and wipe them off the face of Aincrad. Jonathan never dealt any good amount of damage, and that really sucked for them. He was so sick and tired of missing to these guys, that it was not even funny anymore. He felt useless. Only good for taking hits, which was important, but the frontliners had gone this far with glass cannon build. It really made no differece for the rest of the floors. If they could spam damage, go ahead. Then he watched as the thief struck him, but Joanthan did not even care to try and block. It was pointless.

More energy restoration time. If he was goin to strike, he needed to make sure that it was a firm and guaranteed strike. While the thieves were distracted, he also ran the risk of hitting Jonathan. Doing that, while he was a tank, would be a massive waste of energy, which he needed very badly as of this moment. So he held his ground and refused to pounce until he saw the opening he needed. "I just have to wait a bit more to go in for the strike." The snow-haired player would explain. Placing his hand in his pocket, he would watch the scene in front of him in order to see how the scene unfolded. Resting as the bar of energy would go upwards, still as slowly. Looking out towards the distance, it was as if he were looking into the void. It hurt to watch and feel useless.

Jonathan sighed. This battle was not going as near as well as the last one. Only Sey had hit, and he had only hit once. They appeared to just needed accuracy items at this point. Accuracy is where it was at. Jonathan needed to start things. The thieves were dodging much to often. He watched as Sey moved and went to make an attack, but it was futile as the man missed once again. It was just as i Kayaba enjoyed watching them miss over and over. It kind of ticked the tank off. He moved quickly in a a dash toward the first thief, and for once, his weapon met its mark. From there, Jonathan began to hack at the creature's body, until his last strike threw it to the ground and it began to scramble back like a cat. Freakin, finally, lets get this show on the road now. Jonathan raised his blade with a smile. Things were finally starting to get started.

Now! The energy was set and he was ready to strike the best he could! Slicing down through the middle of the chaos, he'd twirl the spear around once again as he would lash out against the opponents. Doing this allowed him to send them flying once again, and a mass critical hit would appear above their heads, showing how severe the damage. That allowed him to lower one of them down to the yellow point, and the other near that point. Seems like he was gaining hate little by little. With this, the battle was near over, but so was his energy. He could not afford to go in without another good chance. This struck through them mightily, and because of this, he knew that the quest was sealed. But in how much time was the question, in which he hoped was soon.

Jonathan watched as the air seemed just right for Sey, and the mood was set. Jonathan's face turned into a grin and he began to advance on the thief. One more hit and it was a goner. Jonathan charged forward, slashing repeatedly, but sadly he missed every single one. Jonathan growled, but stopped after he took two square hits. Jonathan fell back, unharmed, but a tad angry, his eyes clearly showing his unraveleled rage that held inside. If it was possible, these thieves would suffer. Why did mobs always dodge his attacks? He would end it here, and he would end it now. Being hit by these creatures, and not being able to hit them in return was just stupid. " Get them again Snow, apparently I can't hit to save my life. Only ever did it once." Jonathan growled and rose his shield in anger.

"After this, I am going to have to rest! My energy will be to low!" He explained as he would end up looking over to the side and slashing out once again, the spear moving to the side as he spun around once again to cut through them. Nothing too special of a  move, but it should be enough to hold out against the thieves. At least he brought one of them to the red zone. But at this point, he was completely useless, since his energy was far too low to carry out any form of attacks. It was the best he could do, now Jonathan was going to have to handle the rest. "Much luck to you! I can't do anything anymore! Carry this out for me!" The snow-haired player would order as he would leap back, the empty tank of energy on the top right corner of his screen.

Jonathan watched as Sey threw the rest of his energy down in a last AOE attempt to kill the thing. He brought it down quite some amount, making it not so much of a futile attempt. That meant he would have to get one hit on one thief, and two on the other. Unless he for once got a critical. The blond watched as the thiefs made there move first, accuracy perfectly guiding there way making their blades home in his chest. Jonathan retaliated, striking one of the thieves. The creature fell to the ground and shattered open. Jonathan turned his attention to the last Thief, hich probably knew deep down that it was about to die. Jonathan took a step toward it, moving past Sey, but did not even look at the snow haired player.
