[PP-F1] Light Hidden in the Darkness

Recommended Posts

Was that a challenge? Whenever he was told he could not do something, he certainly was down to take the test. Even if he failed, he would be proud in the attempt. "Oh? Well just watch me." Sey replied as he lowered himself to his knees, tracing his pointer finger against the sand below their feet on the small island. First, his name. Followed with a Heart. Finally, Hidden. "Sey ♥ Hidden. It's no house, but it's a little monument, though it's missing a little something..." Looking around, he would move towards the edge before scooping up some water. Of course, having a playful nature of his own, he flicked a few drops of water swiftly towards her direction with a sly smile before then evenly pouring the water into the letters he made. The water would successfully reflect the sunlight above, making the letters shine nearly as brightly as the crystals. "This almost looks as beautiful as you, but this works quite nicely if I may say so myself."

The next part was the hideout count, which she successfully caught onto with the hint of his tone. Perfect! Turning around, he would place a fake innocent and curious facial expression. "Oh? You don't know yet? Well come on then! I need to show you the Hideout!" The snow-haired player announced, swiftly placing his right hand within her left before charging back into the water, attempting to bring her into the water with him. half of that was just to play around with her again, but the other half of him was a lot more excited about showing her the hideout he had for her. It was without a doubt better than the second hideout. If she followed through with him, they would eventually end up back towards the waterfall, in which he would power his way through and swim to the edge. "We need to get to the teleportation gate as quickly as we can!"

Hidden would watch as the man would sink ot his knees and she frowned. 'He better not be...' but then he began to drawing in the sand, writing his name, a heart and then her name. She laughed a bit and then said, "You realize that the sand won't stay like that." He kept going though, adding the water in the holes to finish it off. The sun would hit the water, illuminating the words like the crystals in the cave. He would stand and then tell her that she needed to see this hideout of theirs. She frowned. "You haven't told me something" she could easily tell. He grabbed her hand and charged into the water. He appeared excited and he dragged her into the water until she was at east knee deep. her hands fell out of his and she took a breath before diving into the water, already having remembered where to go. She resurfaced and heard Sey behind her, telling her to hurry to the gate. She rolled her eyes. "Well, hurry up then" They would end at the edge of the water where she would find herself in the little cove that they had spent little time in. She opened her menu and requipped her items. She felt herself dry, even her hair as he equipped her new clothes. Strange mechanic in the game, but she was not complaining. "Where is it at?"

"This is a game, I doubt it would even move away from that position. Unless someone comes by... Not likely considering the isolation." He explained. And so the chase went, he would get out of the water, changing back into his hoodie and jeans. His hair, unfortunately dry, making it less spiky and back to the original form that it was taking. Hidden was ahead of him, telling him to hurry up. No fair! His evasion was not high at all, it was at absolutely zero. He was much better at tanking anyways. Still though, his girlfriend was faster than him thanks to the one property. Thanks Aincrad. With that, he would arrive at the gate before selecting the floor. Eleven. And within that, there were two options. The usual Safe Zone... And the Dawn. He made sure to pass Hidden off as an owner as well, so she had the same access to the location as he did. "Can't believe you didn't know about the hideout." Sey would playfully tease before making his way within the portal, appearing at the new home for the both of them. The "Hideout."

Their new home. Sey would pop out right at the front door. He could hear the river running on the left side, the songs of birds chirping onto the right. There was even a bridge over the river, followed by a trail walk in case the both of them needed to have a moment out with nature. It was tough to get the house, but the price of it was full well worth it. Turning back around, he would call to her. "Hey! How long do you plan to wait? It's right here, love."

They would finally reach the teleport zone on the first floor and Sey would step onto the pad. "This hideout is on a different floor" She would step onto the gate as well and stand still as he did the work. He would click an option on his menu and a blue light surrounded them. Within a second she noticed changes. The breeze was cooler, the air was different, and the atmosphere was much calmer. She looked around a a beautiful scenery laid in front of her. There was a river to her right, birds fluttering around, a path that cut around the area and fully blossomed trees. She turned around to see Sey and ask him a question but there was a building behind her. It had an elegance to it with its white walls, intricate doors. "What is this place?" Was this their supposed "Hideout"? She would walk forward and place her hand on the door knob. A screen would show up saying "Hidden.... Access Granted!" She would step back from the door and a key would materialize in the air, landing in the palm of her hand.  She stuck the key in the lock and twisted. An unlocking noise was heard and she would push the door so it was slightly ajar. She made a motion with her hand for Sey to go in first.

She was able to obtain her key, it was something he was highly concerned for at the beginning. If that had not worked, it would have been a lot more awkwad than it was exciting. With that, she would allow him to enter. "Hey, no. You're not going to get away from me that easily." He playfully declared, charging through the door, but only to grab her wrist in the process in an attempt to pull her into the house. If done so successfully, they would arrive to the living room. The fireplace would crackled against a brick wall, followed by a massive flatscreen above it. There were three red couches as well, the ones on the sides with two seats and the one in the middle with three. A glass table made itself present as well in the middle. The floor was made from polished wood, rather than actual wood that caused splinters. "Welcome to the Dawn. This is a little gift from me, to us. A little something for ourselves as one."

Moving towards the kitchen, he would proceed to show the rooms that he made sure to obtain. "The kitchen is over here! And on the other side, it's more of a bar style of seating, though just for us. Though perhaps a bit of music would be nice. Hm... Maybe I should give a performer a visit." Sey explained before then tilting his head to the side, a bit deep in thought for the moment. Eventually, he snapped back to reality and paced towards the restroom. "The restroom is right here. Not much needs to be said about that." Quickly walking away from the restroom, he would then find the bedroom as well. There was a giant king sized bed there for the both of them. There was a smaller television there, two nightstands, alarm clocks, lamps, and even mirrors as well. "And what house would be complete without the bedroom as well? I'm not sure about the details, so I made sure to get only what was needed. I don't mind going out to buy more things for this if you would like."

With that, he would walk back over towards her with a genuine smile on his face. Nothing playful, stupid, sneaky... Just genuine happiness on him. For the most part, he was just very excited about her reaction to all of it. A house was not usually what one would think of when they thought, present. But since the day they got engaged, it would not be fair for Hidden to be stuck with a man who couldn't even shelter her. Recalling his fathers words, Sey would not be worthy of a lady if he could not protect her. That also meant to shelter her. "Well? What do you think?"

Hidden walked into the house, with a little help from Sey. She removed her hood and took a glance around the living room. There was a few couches, a glass table and a fireplace. She could feel the warmth from by the door. Sey spoke up, welcoming her to the Dawn. "The Dawn?" She took a step forward. A gift? This was their house? "This place is amazing!" She truly had a house now, one with a man that truly was fit for her. He led her over to the Kitchen which was bright and happy, with a bar style of seating. "Gorgeous" He pointed over, down the hallway where he said was the bathroom. He led her over to a bedroom, where a rather large bed was to be seen. He turned to her and asked for her thoughts. She smiled to him as she turned. She moved forward, wrapping her arms around the man's neck. "It's lovely, Casper" She smiled as she looked over to him. "You are better than I could have ever asked for" Everything was perfect about the house. 'I still need to find his present! Crafting is boring, but he did all of this for me'

A light chuckle would emit from his lips as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Nothing stupid, just a calm and collected light chuckle. His hands would be placed around her hips to follow up through before looking into her eyes. “Only the best, for my queen.” And with that, as daring as he always has been, would lightly move his head forward to place his lips against her own in a slower embrace rather than the swift one he first gave her. It was supposed to be their moment together. He held the both of them together for the kiss for a few moments before slowly releasing her as well. “I love you, my love.” A whispered promise as his eyes closed, a half-smile on his face as he was truly genuine about it. No jokes, no pranks, it was true emotion. Hm, seems like they were right after all. The least Sey could do was thank them, and perhaps show Hidden off to them. But for now, no. It was just the both of them alone in their new home, living a new life. Just the way he wanted.

He would place his hands on her hips and stare into her eyes with a smile that just wanted to make her melt right there. 'This is Love' her mind told her. She felt giddy and happy inside. He would slowly move his head in forward and she would move in to meet him for one slow kiss. It was much slower than their first, this one not a swift embrace, but smooth and comfortable. This one was also not wet with her tears, but instead warm with their passion. Her face felt hot but she left it alone. As they broke apart she found herself wanting more, but not saying anything. He spoke, promising his love. She smiled and returned his words back to him. "I love you more than you know it" This was her new life. She had no reason to move on. She could stay and live in this house with Sey, for the rest of the world. "Let's go explore outside shall we?" she asked the man. She released his neck and turned away, moving back to the door which was still left slightly ajar. She swung it open and took in a breath of the fresh air once more. The scenery and smells were just so vivid in this area. She found a few things littering the ground that she picked up and added as materials before looking back to Sey. "Devilishly Handsome Tour guide Sey have any suggestions of where as to go first?"

"Oh my. You flatter me far too much, my Queen." The snow-haired player replied to his lover with his smile still in place. Though his eyes would open up as he had a fun idea. Pulling his spear out from his inventory, he would slice it downwards right in front of her as if it were to shield her. "Ever m'lady needs an escort every now and then. Shall we take a nature trail walk your highness?" British Bulldog Sey was used to monarchy, so addressing his own lover as such was something he took very seriously. He knew that she did not want him to look at himself as lower than her, but he felt it was his duty to put her up on a pedestal. "OH! I have an idea!" Sey declared as he would rush towards the river. An HUD screen would display in front of him with a circle and an x in front of it. Pressing the circle, a traveling boat would materialize in front of them and landed softly on the water. "Let's go on a ride, shall we?" With that, he would leap up onto the edge where the paddle was. He had plenty of in-game strength to push the boat forward through the river without even breaking a sweat.

Hidden would walk alongside Sey who was being extra flirtatious, even calling her queen. She rolled her eyes. She didn't like the idea that he had her were not equals, but he seemed to enjoy doing it. She did not want to ruin that for him. "Sure. I'll go for a ride" she answered. A boat materialized in front of them and she took a step in, and then place the entirity of her body in. It would appear there was only one paddle, and Sey had already taken hold of it. "Here we go" She said, waiting for Sey to begin to paddle. If he would get them off the edge, then the current of the river would take them along. "Perhaps might I ask, what floor are we on? I have no idea where our house even is" She said, a bit embarrassed. She had no knowledge of this floor, and it must have been due to the fact that it was on a higher floor. She had not been past floor six? She had no idea anymore. She wished she had started along with everyone else and got an early start to killing bosses.

Once she boarded the boat, Sey would slam the paddle against the land to push it away, and so the current would take the boat away as he would then let the paddle go, then jump back into the seat and let the water do most of the heavy-lifting for him. "Well, when you put one and one together, you get eleven. We are on the eleventh floor. Pretty nice, eh?" He would place his hands behind the back of his head, his lips neutral and his head tilting a bit to the side. "Now that I think about it, you haven't traveled too much yet. What do you like to do in your freetime here?" He asked, daringly asking such a question without any hesitation. But it was an honest question, perhaps an important one as well. It would be rather boring to just have a house and do nothing to make it a little more fun. "Oh! I have a few connections as well to some other professions. Currently blacksmiths, performers, and alchemists. Maybe we can use their crafts to liven up the house. Though I'd need to know some preferences... Like... Hmmmm, what music do you you like?"

  • 2 weeks later...

(Sorry for delays. Busy)

Hidden would watch as the waters would begin to carry them across it with ease. He then asked what she liked to do in her freetime. She pursed her lips and brought her finger up to rest upon it. "I really don't get much free time." She pouted. He then went on about how they needed to liven up their house with more things, perhaps music and things. "I think you should pick out the music" she told him. She didn't mean to sound like she had no life, nut here Sey was her freetime. She found herself twirling her dagger, which was dangerous as it was Shadow's Infection. "I wish there was a way I could just skip thirty levels or so. I am tired of being so low leveled." She looked at the scenery around her. It was quite beautiful andviid in colors. She wondered how the man could have even found this place. She looked over the man and let her eyes trace his body. He was certainly a handsome guy, and was sincere, unlike some others that she knew. She felt herself slipping away, but controlled the flashback a bit. She hated going to that school.

"D'awwww, don't say that. You're nearly at the second tier, which in itself is something impressive. You'll get lots of powerful things, an if we continue on the dragon hunting quests, we should be able to nail you up to my level within no time." It was a fact that he had to go through a lot of quests in order to get up as high as he did. But it was because he had a major amount of ambition to get this balance build. It got him many skill points, so he no longer had to slack. Still being built, and that was why he was getting a lot of progress done. heck, he was even going to be fighting on the frontlines for the boss, when he was just a level 1 player when the last floor boss had been beaten. What a nice fantasy to imagine though. His hair swayed gently with the wind before hopping down lightly onto a seat of the boat. "Stick with me, love. I'll get you up there, then we'll slaughter the frontline bosses without a problem."

When he mentioned second tier she smiled devilshly. "That is something I have definitely been waiting for. That bit of extra damage will help me out on so many levels. Rank four in my dagger will also help. That is already four extra damage, then I can finish the dagger and get its mods" Her future damage output was a subject she enjoyed indeed. She was moving all in for her damage, then mitigation and Evasion, then finally her Shadows and scout. The perfect assasin build. She would also be throwing the energy gain skills. She would b in the fight for a long time before she ran out. "I can't wait. If we were to finish that dragon quest, I bet my dagger would be finished. as much as I want my hide skill, Light armor will come first. That will bring more damage and evasion. Mitigation needs to be up. My build is made to survive against players as well" Players were a key threat in this game. The fact that they could think and were not AI made them a lot more dangerous and keen on things. They also had a purpose to keep fighting.

"Ahhh, mods. Those definitely should be something I invest in, it would be a huge help. Nice job on getting the damage so high though, and if you can get that sneak attack mod eventually... WAY more power to ya." He explained as he would rest, leaning back against his own seat as the water would sway gently in a loop. It was nice to know that he was able to think about numbers in a way that not many others could. In the real world, they would mean nothing to the people back in the real world. "I just finished getting my battle healing maxed. I have a regen shield and a mitigation armor, so I won't be dying for a while. My spear is maxed out, but I plan to change into a Rapier real soon, whenever I get the chance. The further up you go, the much harder it is to level up I have learned." It was a reality he hated, it was supposed to be more rewarding as they went up, not more work. Or perhaps he didn't feel it as much because of the build path he chose.

She sat there, watching the stream pull them farther away from their new home. The boat ride was nice, relaxing even. He sat back in his seat and spoke a bit on his build, but more about his armor. At this point in time, he was already finishing his build right? She needed to be around level forty now. Halfway there was not good enough for her. She looked to the man in front of her, observing him with a careful eye. She had always wondered why she would ever be the one he had picked. Out of all of the women out there, she was the one he picked. She smiled upon that thought, but then it faded as he said the wierdest thing ever. "D-Did you just say Rapier? A rapier, and a shield? That would look kinda silly" She giggled but stopped herself. Why had she become like this around him? She was a completely different person. She would never giggle in someone's presence. "Well... enjoy your rapier. I am going to stick to my dagger, and then get better from there" She looked down into the water to find her own pale reflection. Everything about her was quite light and pale. Except her dark violet eyes.

As the boat would continue to travel, he would lay back a little bit, using his legs to hold up his weight as he would stretch, only to flail as she mentioned the rapier with the shield. With a swift motion, he would return back up, though scratching the back of his head. "Well... Yes! I shall be the ultimate Rapier Wie-" He realized how stupid he just sounded with just that, and would hang his head down awkwardly. Not out of sadness, though more in a comedic sort of head drop. His head would be lifted back up before he then explained something he planned to do with the Rapier. Her adorable little giggle though was just so adorable, it motivated him to just continue with this. It was fun to see her so happy, it brought him to much more ease, no matter the scenario. "Bet ya I can top myself. I plan to learn to use the Rapier, holding it backwards. Not holding it by the tip, but imagine switching the direction the needle points to." With that, he would tilt his head to the side as she stated she will be keeping her weaponry. "Oh yeah, I can't wait to fight alongside ya in the floor boss raids soon enough. You are already looking very strong as it is."

She would watch as he realized the sound of him having a rapier and a shield together. He hung his head awkwardly out of shame, before smiling and laughing and then proclaiming that he would master the rapier by holding it backwards. She shook her head and said, "Wat was the reason I keep you around for? Definitely not brains" She giggled and it ended with a laugh. This time was enjoyable, but the probably ought to be getting back to the main course and train more. When it got dark was the time they were supposed to enjoy eachothers company. During the day, they must be getting her up to par and getting him much stronger. She was pretty far behind, and he needed to be as strong as he could be as he was layed thinly out as he was a balance build. She was starting to get much better at her dagger, but she needed to get higher, much more as things were going to get harder. Her dagger and mods needed to get finished, and her light armor needed to be finished. She would be one of the strongest players at single target damage. She was going to be a dangerous enemy, and a powerful ally.

"What? Maaaate, you have to be kidding me. It's clearly for the food!" The snow-haired player would tease dismissively, relaxingly placing his palms to the sides of his seat. As the loop of the river was coming to an end, he would look up, the sky slowly fading away into the darkness of the night. What timing too, the both of them needed to get in. "Hey, shall we get inside? I can cook us up a nice meal for dinner. Then, just, relax in our new "hideout". It was probably the best idea he had in this game, getting a house early enough. It was something that did not even require much, as the game did not need much cleaning. Especially since the dirt was heavily lacking on dirt that stuck to the soles of ones foot. As the boat would make a calm stop by the side, he would hop off lightly back onto the land again before turning, waiting for her. "Come on, slowpoke!" More teasing, it was in his nature.

The uncloaked girl would watch as he would bank them and quickly hop off, teasing her to be slow. She frowned. "Wow, some gentleman you are. Feed em, please em, then leave them in a boat!" she teased back playfully. She would step out of the boat and chase after him. She caught him quickly, but then slowed down a bit to move to his pace. "It's getting pretty late, we should head back eat and rest. We got a pretty big day head of us tomorrow!" she exclaimed. Tommorow they would be heading out to the fourth floor, and if they had time the fifth. They were blazing through these quests, but they had to start taking breaks soon so she could get strong enough to make differences. She needed to be able to help in the fights, or else they wouldn't be getting through anywhere. She refused to allow Sey to just carry her the entire way. That would prove for her to be weak and greedy. Taking advantage of Sey was not something she ever wanted to do. Food was another thing though.... "Speaking of reasons why I am keeping you around, I think its time you made dinner! I keep you around for your food and good looks!
