Months after the boss fight on this floor had passed, Info brokers heard rumors of something that should be feared. An amber egg had survived throughout the battle, hidden away within the nest that was once Rohk’s. It survived and flourished, soon growing to the size of it’s previous father, and seeking revenge on those who were at the cause of his death. Players have been advised to take precautions at this fight, and be prepared to fight to the death if necessary to defeat this new foe.

Jonathan stood on the thirteenth floor, in fact his favorite floor. A new boss had appeared in its midst, and apparently it was a boss based off one of the old floor bosses. He had found that he had heard of it several times from Hikoru, as it had killed one of his friends. He moved through the town and looked at the outside. This town was one of the few places that was not decayed away, and he was quite happy with it. He would stand silently, preparing himself to earn the courage to go out and find this child of Rohk. "Rohk, wasn't that some bird boss that drug people away? What if perhaps this boss does the same? Well, only really one way to find out" He scrolled through his menu, selected a few items and watched as they materialized around his body. T3 would be coming soon, and he wanted to be there by the time it was released. "Alrighty"

Going through his inventory to see if he had anything to chug down before he had to leave for the battle. Macradon had been hearing all the rumors, so he didn’t want to lose any time he could’ve had to finish it before it would disappear. He could take revenge, avenge Azide, at least try to. This was a vandetta for him, his personal Crusade. The knight would don his red and white armor, the red and black robes over his armor and let his helmet be laid back in his shop, he wouldn’t need it for this journey.

Pushing up the hood over his head, Macradon would shug down a whole ale, he would coat his Sword of the Ancients in a damage enhancing substance, something about midichlorians or something. He would also chug down a last potion that would enhance his skin’s protective feature, growing hardened dragon scales around his body. Venturing out to the 13th floor where he would know Morgenstern would be waiting for him, Macradon would come approaching with his Banner of Command. The large banner with KoB written with golden letter on the red background and Guild Insignia upon it, Macradon would activate its effect and grant Morgenstern and him a morale boost in the form of a strengthening aura.

Leaving for the 13th floor, Macradon would make sure Balthazar was following his steps to the teleportation plaza where they both would travel up to the 13th floor from the 1st. “Hey Morgenstern, good to see you. The brokers tell me the boss’s name is … Shi Lord of the Skies?” he said in a cheerful voice when he appeared where they had chosen to meet up. The head of an owl would peak out from behind Macradon, quickly followed by the body of a bear with feathers would come forth. Balthazar would look at the other person in front of him, not too experienced with social interaction with other people than Macradon, Balthazar would try to use Macradon as a protective shield for now, not really knowing this Morgenstern person.

Jonathan heard footsteps behind him and seen Macradon, full battle-armor, and ready to claim a victory. Jonathan smiled at the man. "Good to see you are ready. I hear this is not a very easy boss" He looked ast the man and seen Balthazar, the strangest familiar he had ever seen, but he did not judge. His own familiar, Sol the phoenix flew and perched on his shoulder indicating everything was ready to go. He nodded and turned. "Well, Shi is going to wish it had died along with his father. When I wasn't on the frontlines" Jonathan took a step forward, clicking his helmet into place in his armor. A golden flash was seen from his visor as his helmet gave him a closer scan of things. It mostly just protected his eyes though. "I figured I would get more indulged in the KoB, but more stick to the only few players my guild tells me is polite. Itzal has told me a thing or two about a few different players. So, If you are thinking on the business side of things, you can think of this as one of the last chances of connection between the CA and the KoB" With those kind words, Jonathan moved forward, off to the area where the boss was supposed to be located.

He had no reason to hate the KoB, so if Macradon wanted a connection between the two guilds, it almost had to be through him. He did not mind the proudness of the commander, but if what Itzal said about Mack was true, he was not so sure he would like it if he heard it himself.

Sighing, Macradon would look down, hand on his forehead and a disappointed look on his face, he didn’t think that topic would come up. He was indeed assured that people did not like his guild, nor the Commander of the guild, so it wasn’t his surprise that it was a thing, but he wasn’t prepared to hear those words right now. He would lightly shake his head as it wasn’t that big of a deal for him, but they were still something to take notice of. He would smile at Morgenstern, knowing that he still had something with him. “I’m glad you’re not one of the many anti-KoB … I don’t even know where all the hatred even comes from. Call me blind or something, but why haven’t I noticed anything?” he would ask out loud, not really aimed at anyone, but Morgenstern was the only other person, so it did sound like a question aimed for him. Macradon would shake his head and open up his <Tracking> HUD and enter what was known for him to track it down. Looking out into the fields of decaying nature, Macradon would [censored] a small glimpse of where they were to head.

Quote

What/Who would you like to track?
___Shi, Lord of the Skies___

“If we head out north from here, we will arrive at the Rohk nest where we fought the boss, it seems like Shi is hiding there … I am sure I killed all the eggs ...” Macradon said ending off his words with an angry tone. He was awarded the Talon of Rohk for smashing all the eggs at the raid, but it was quickly snatched from his hands and was never seen again, but he was sure none of the eggs survived … Shaking off the thought of what happened at the raid, Macradon would look over at Morgenstern “Shall we?” he asked, gesturing out his arm to tell Morgenstern to walk, waiting for Morgenstern to begin walking, Macradon would be ready to walk by his side when that were to happen. Balthazar would begin to run out in front of the two warriors, scouting out anything that might hinder them on the way to Rohk’s old pit of death.

The blond walked beside Macradon as they began to move towards their target. The man's eyes were glowing, most likely a scout skill. Detect? He semed to know where he was going though. Jonathan just followed beside and hoped they would near the boss room. Macradon replied to him, relieved that he was not one of the haters of the KoB. Then he asked where it came from. "I am not sure where most people get this hate from. Maybe because you guys happen to get a bunch of demonics? Itzal is all because he pays way too much attention into detail, looking at the little things and taking everything into heart. Its just the way he is" Jonathan shrugged and continued to walk forward.

Macradon informed him that they should be there soon. "Well, I think with the both of us, that it should be a rather easy quest" He said, trying to sound reassuring. With his luck, he would be trying to keep it stunned the entire time! Then, something caught his eye. A shadow loomed over them, and a giant bird, not appearing to notice them, began to peck at the ground, 30 meters from them. 'WHAT IS THAT THING! ITS HUGE!' Jonathan gulped, looked to Macradon and stepped forward, his shield in front of him, his weapon at his side. With that, he let out a fierce <<Focused Howl>> to earn its attention, it turned to them, as if wondering they had no just fallen down dead.

He would nod at Morgenstern’s explanation, but it still boggled him. How come the KoB got so much hate compared to the Azure Brigade? KoB has what .. 3 Unique items in the whole guild while some like Ariel or Teayre would have around the same amount of items on a single person. He wouldn’t think too much of it as it wasn’t the actual topic at hand. Looking around, Macradon would notice a trail in the air, like something had been soaring above them. Quickly an avian creature would make its entrance before the two. Macradon would quickly thrust the banner into the ground and take out his Sword of the Ancients. Making and audible clicking noise he would order Balthazar to take cover behind a tree and give him direction on where to hit the avian creature. The owlbear would screech and roar as it would see that the stomach area was the most vulnerable place on the avian. Macradon would chuckle lightly at Morgenstern “That’s Shi, that’s at least what my Tracking tells me” he said “It’s much bigger than Rohk, but is it just as strong?” he would ask out in the air. The large avian would quickly begin its assault upon the two with a quick attack towards Morgenstern. Its claws quickly slashing through the armor of the tank as it would begin to swoop around in the air again. Before it would get too far from the ground, Macradon would make a pirouette spin counterclockwise and hack down really hard with his sword to give the bid a quick scare with his strong single hit attack.

Jonathan watched as the bird turned accordingly to his howl. As it realized they were not prey, they instantly became a threat. It flew at him, its claws swiping across his chest, its damage going way through his armor. Jonathan fell down to a knee. His health had dipped qite a bit from that blow. "I'll try to stun for you, we just need to hope it hits me the right way!" If hit him the right way, a shock would be sent through the ar, paralyzing the bird. Macradon charged forward, striking it underbelly, dealing a large sum of damage to it. Jonathan nodded to the man upon his returned and charged forward himself, using one of the more basic Sword-Arts he knew. The Dawn Breaker would slash three times, all in an uppercut. On the last blow, a shock was sent through its body and it fell into a heap on the ground. "Alright, its down on the ground, deal as much damage as you can while it is down there!" Jonathan whistled and watched as his phoenix swooped down in a blazing flame and healed Jonathan of his wounds. "You rest up. I may need you again!"

“Now!” Macradon thought as he saw the bird fall to the ground. The screeched of agony would tell Macradon that it was hurt enough not to fly away like Rohk did. It surely wasn’t as strong as its father, but it still posed quite the threat to both of them. “Haarggh!” he roared out as he would let out another big swing out. His giant slab of steel would cut through the air like it was nothing, particles parting way for it to move through, but no matter how fast Macradon was, the avian would quickly recover from its stunned period and left the ground faster than Macradon could get to approach it. “Damnit!” he cursed out loud as he saw the avian retreat for a second before it would begin to dive down towards the tank that had his health recovered by … a traitor! In anger the avian would roar out a fierce battle screech that would signal its wrath that was to be smitten upon the tank and its traitor bird.

Jonathan watched as Macradon charged forward at his opponent, but the avian creature took flight before he got there. "Dang, that thing is fast!" It scanned the two players and as it caught sight of the flaming bird, it roared in rage. "I don't think it likes you, Sol" The only way it would get stunned for a while was if the bird struck him the right way. Then, he would send off a spark and paralyze i. If not, then he would have to wait til the stun cooldown ended. "Alright Macradon, unless we are lucky, there is no aid for hits for a little bit" Jonathan said gravelly. His shield was raised in the air, prepared to take another diving strike from Shi. He hoped it would be dumb enough to activate his paralysis. He had been given a small chance to allow Sol to begin to cooldown and himself to heal a little, but he knew the wrath of the bird would come next. `

It was just too difficult to land a good hit at this avian. “Oh yeah … this is Rohk’s child” Macradon would say. Rohk was just as fast, swift and dodgey that it was very difficult to get a hit onto it without landing just the right attack that would also scare it away from reach again. Trying to think up a strategy, Macradon would ponder on and on again. He would think, think of a way to really get a hit onto the damned bird. It was too difficult to just stand here and do nothing while it could just swoop down and attack Morgenstern all the time, like it would do now. The big avian dove down and would slice through Morgenstern with its large talons. Macradon tried to swing, but it just flew by him before he even had the chance to do so. “Foiled again!” he said and held up a fist in anger.

Jonathan would watch as Shi shrieked in anger and dove straight down, striking his shield, but then continued to slash him to ribbons. He fell to the ground, taking another large dip in his health. "Oh, hell this is hard. You got any paralysis?" He felt his battle-healing mend a bit, butnot enough to make up for the damage that had already been done. Sol was no where near ready to go again. The large bird began to make circles around the battlefield, causing a torrent of air. The blond growled and took a step forward, slashing forward, but no such luck would come from his attack. "A bit more and I am good for stunning again. Then hopefully we can hit it with some paralysis before I start to drop into the yellow or red zone" The blond grimaced. This was actually a pretty tough fight, even with one of the best DPS's right next to him.

This bird, making it as difficult as it possibly could for the sake of just being able to. Macradon would grit his teeth and grasp the handle of his sword even further. He wasn’t capable of landing any hit right now, even knowing where to hit and when to hit. The knowledge just wasn’t enough to really do any impact into this, the bird was just too fast for them to really do anything about. Too confused and angry, Macradon hadn’t anything he could do. Roaring out in anger, Macradon would only make the bird enjoy what was happening. Going in for another attack at the supposed tank who was now knocked down to the edge for the health bar to turn yellow. Macradon had no items to save Morgenstern right now, no potions, no nothing. Aggravated by this, Macradon would sigh heavily, trying to concentrate at what was at hand, he just had to hit it ..

Jonathan watched as Macradon stood in the center of the ring as Shi attacked him again, using its razor sharp talons to slash through his armor. His health was at the edge of half-health, another hit and he would be there. "If I sink any lower, I will be spamming Health items." He chuckled half-heartedly. This was going nowhere fast, and one of them needed to stun or paralyze this creature, or else it was going to get nasty real soon. 'This is the first quest I have actually been a bit worried about' It was indeed true that Shi was one of the hardest quests that had come by. It would make sense that this was one of the higher leveled quests, as if it had been anyone but him tanking, they surely would have fallen.

Twirling around the two warriors, Macradon would carefully keep his eyes upon the avian and await its next attack. The bird would stop its torrent of wind as it would soar up high into the skies and the quickly dive down where it would not engage directly upon Morgenstern, but halt before it got down and would use its giant wings to create an extreme shock wave of wind that would blow the two warriors down. Macradon would quickly take the opportunity to get up, spin around to look fancy and execute his <Galaxy Destroyer> sword art again. He would hit it dead on the stomach before it got to flee and was struck to the ground, not to roost, but because it was paralyzed. Macradon would snicker lightly as he looked at the bird “You’re hereby grounded” he would say in a cheerful voice as he raised his sword up again for another strike.

Shi let out another shrieking cry before swooping up high into the sky. Its eyes locked onto him once more before swooping down full speed. This time, its move had changed. As it got close enough to the ground, it flapped back up, using its powerful wings to send torrents of harsh wind that knocked him off of his feet. Sprawling to the ground, Jonathan was amazed to see how powerful it was. Sol? Where was he? There he was. The bird stood on the ground, its fire completely gone, leaving it just like a normal looking bird. He apeared to not be the happiest. It flew into the air and burst into flames once more. It charged the larger bird and clawed at its side, dealing no damage before swooping back away. Then, Macrdon reacted striking it and paralyzing it. The creature fell to the ground for another hit to be landed. "Alright Macradon. You got this!"

Quickly going in with the quick spin to grab momentum, Macradon would strike down upon the grounded avian. The hard hit would make sure the bird would remember who it was up against, warriors of the SAO frontlines. Quickly screeching in pain and agony, the avian would quickly recover from the paralysis and would then bring itself into the air again. The flapping wings would blow air away underneath it, slowly getting up into the air, but damaged. The two had managed to poke down its health all the way down to yellow already, ready to actually take it out now. It has been taking a few hits before they got solid hits onto it, but now they were confident, they would get on with the killing of the vile beast. Looking at the avian flying about, Macradon would get himself ready for another attack to bring it down again, hopefully get it down again.

Jonathan would watch as Macradon charged forward, striking the downed creature once again, bringing its health quite far down. The creature's HP bar reached the yellow zone, indicating that the fight was almost over. Jonathan cheered and said, "I think I am more excited about this than Tanos himself!" The blond chuckled, not even making an attempt on the flying creature. His attacks were not accurate enough to hit but a few key points in time. Other times, it was just a waste of energy and strength. "Let's see if we can get it stunned once more so We can go in for the last hit" Jonathan laughed full-heartedly, his health rising even further. Sol was almost ready a well, meaning a major boost in his health bar was jut about to happen. Macradon was doing quite well damage wise, and in the mitigation zone, he was doing quite well for being unbuffed.

Flapping its wind with torrents upon torrents of wind that would crash down upon the two. Macradon would try to stay standing with a wide ochs guard with his sword up above him, pointed towards the giant avian. Slowly keeping himself steady, Macradon would await the right time to actually get a hit off. It was difficult, even though he had managed to hit it with three hits. The damage he was capable off against the eagle was quite trumendous as it was in the yellow zone of its health, with only three hits by Macradon. Clenching his fists, Macradon would slowly begin to advance upon the avian, but to no avail as it would just ascend up away from them once again. Looking at it, Macradon would try to position himself in a place where he would be able to strike it if it would come down again, if only it would come down again. "If we're patient enough, we might get some good hits on it" he would reply to Morgenstern's comments.

Jonathan watched  as Shi began to fly u further into the air. It shriked once more before diving down at top speeds and the sending another rush of wind to hurt them. The wind did not hurt him as much, but he would enjoy it if the creaure would miss for once in its life. It needed to be paralyzed or something. The winds swept Jonathan off of his feet and returned him to the yellow zone. The flaming bird would rush to his aid and heal quite a bit of his wounds, returning him back to the place he was. The blond stood and looked over to Macradon as he spoke. "I really don't have enough health to... be patient. I am barely still going as it is. A boss has never brought be down this far in health. Not even Tanos" Two more hits and this thing was dead, but it appeared Shi was much too fast to be hit often.

Nodding at Morgenstern, Macradon agreed that this was a fearsome foe. “This is why Rohk was known as one of the deadliest bosses we had come up against, Hikoru even had to whip his tail between his legs and run for it because he was nearly killed by Rohk. You can clearly see that Rohk and Shi are somewhat related, his damage is pretty strong” he would say, acknowledging Shi’s strength and fierce powers. “Back then I had near to no accuracy, knowing nothing about it, but now I do know where to hit” Macradon said as gusts of wind would crash down upon the two warriors again. The giant avian flapping its wings close to the ground to deal significant damage upon them. Macradon would take the time to realize what was going on and quickly rushed up to the big bird. Raising his sword over his right shoulder, having the pommel point forwards, Macradon would deal a heavy blow with his pommel as he jumped up into the air, smashing the butt of his sword straight into its big face. The bid would fall down to the ground, stunned for now by the concussive blow dealt to its head. "Shi, you're acting too tough, don't get ahead of yourself" Macradon would say, making his second pun against the boss.
