[PP-F13] Slayer of <Child of Rohk> Macradon

Recommended Posts

Jonathan would listen as Macradon would explain the fight with Rohk. He said the creature was just as fast, just as strong, killed players and sent Hikoru running. The last one was a little hard to believe as he knew how much Hikoru HATED running away. He had gotten mad after Rovian Wars, which nobody was prepared for apparently. The blond would watched as the bird shot another gust of wind at them, bringing him back down to the cursed yellow zone. "Great Job! Let's rally the finisher on this sucker!" He chuckled and waited for Macradon to make another move. Jonathan attacking was pointless if it was already stunned or in stun cooldown. The bird's health barely dipped, which meant that it would probably take another 2 hits for it to actually die. Great, so he WOULD be attacked again.

Finally, their tactics had been fruitful. The bird was grounded, down on the ground, unable to move its feathery body. Macradon would jump up into the air, making a spin as he would crash down straight upon the bird with his sword as he spun. The sword would cut straight through the body of the bird, slicing down into the ground quite a big as the Phase enhancement upon the sword was really making it stronger and more dangerous against monsters that had high mitigation levels. It was getting slightly more difficult for Macradon to actually get the massive damage out without landing a crit, but the damage difference between Sword of the Ancients and Scarecrow’s Sickle wasn’t that big. Ancients has the paralyze effect as well, which also just triggered, keeping the bird on the ground. One last hit from Macradon and the fight was over. “It might be Rohk’s child, but it’s not nearly as strong as Rohk himself” Macradon would say as he would prepare one last attack.

<Focused Howl> Used

Jonathan would watch as Macradon burst forward striking the body of the stunned bird. It would a shriek of pain as Macradon moved through its mitigation. "Not as strong as Rohk? You figured the floor difference would make them just the same" He chuckled and watched as the bird kept its eyes on Macradon, prepared to strike if it got another chance. The blond sheathed his weapon and for good measures of doing something, he gave a <Focused Howl> and regained the attention. This battle had almost been one, and Jonathan was happy for that. This had actually been a tough battle for just the two of them. Macradon had been a perfect opposite to him when it came to needing damage. The man had finished off the bird's HP by himself. "Let's finish him off so we can ahead and get something to eat or something" The Dawnbreaker chuckled and awaited for the final blow that would finish off their enemy.

The bird that was on the ground would quickly avert its focus from defeating the two warriors to retreating up into the skies where the two wouldn’t be able to hurt it, nor would it be able to actually hit the two when it counted. Shi had accepted its destiny, it had to kill the warriors, now, before they would land another hit upon it. Even though Macradon had just hit it with a baneful strike, its paralysis was over and it flew away from it before he could touch it again. “Curses!” he yelled out at the gigantic bird. He would grit his teeth and once again stay patient. A single hit was what it needed to actually take it down, just a single hit. Looking over at Morgenstern who had grabbed its attention, Macradon would’ve thought that he was in danger with that health, but if he wasn’t that out of shape, Macradon would let him tank and go for the damage.

Jonathan would watch as Macradon began to move forward to make the last hit on the creature. Being unlucky, the creature beat it wings, sending it away from Macradon and into the air. Meaning they would either half to stun it, or just kill it from the air. He sighed and unsheathed his weapon again, pointing it up as his enemy. He had been sure that Macradon would have finished it previously, but it would seem that Jonathan would take one or two more hits before it finally fell. He would attack, but the chances of him doing anything at the moment was quite little, and he was not going to waste valuable energy to do that. "Alright Macradon, you got this man. Just knock it down from there and perhaps the falling damage or impact will finish bringing it down the rest of the way" He grimaced and quielty waitd to see what Shi would do, and if Macradon would finally land the last hit on the bird, giving them their rewards.

Getting frustrated about all of this, Macradon would slowly try to regain the initiative in this battle, and would try to see if he could get any hit on to the boss when it would swoop down low again, hopefully his tactic would be fruitful. But as the bird would come down low, and Macradon would approach the point where they would meet, Macradon would be blown back by the sheer force of the wind that pushed him back. Shi had used a lot of force to create a gust so strong as this one. Macradon’s health would drop down by further 100 HP after his Battle Healing had taken effect. He would scoff at the giant avian and would get back up on his feet, hoping that he would be quick enough to strike it before it would ascend back up into the skies again. “Let’s try to take him down now!” Macradon said, hoping that Morgenstern would be able to land a hit upon the avian.

Jonathan watched as Macradon moved to strike it again, but could not seem to land the final hit. The bird had moved into a frenzy, taking to higher in the skies, and pelting them with more AoE attacks instead of actually attacking him directly with a swooping attack. The bird was in a forever repeating process. Jonathan charged forward, slicing, but the bird was far too high in the air for them to do something. "Why does it have to be a freaking bird! The could have made it something like a snowman for an event quest." He sighed and looked over to Macradon, wondering if this would be the last attack. He knew Macradon was quite capable of the job, but the question was if the bird would get in range to let him. "Alright Macradon, You can finish it off, you just have to put your mind to it or something encouraging like that"

As Macradon would advance further to get the bird he would shout back to Morgenstern “Aight, I’ll try to land a good hi-” he said but was suddenly interrupted when the bird just flew by him, he had no chance to react, the swiftness of the dangerous avian was too much for Macradon to handle. Quickly glancing back to see what was happening, Morgenstern would be assaulted by the avian’s sharp claws, slashing through as it ascended up into the skies again. The hit and run tactic was, as stated, a tactic, but it still felt like cowardice as it didn’t stay to take a beating, but just hit and ran before anything else could be done to it. Macradon would get back into stance as he saw Morgenstern’s HP begin to really go low, not knowing if he could handle another attack or not, Macradon was angry that he hadn’t kept his Hate above Morgenstern’s, just for a hit or two for him to recover. “Are you alright?” Macradon would call back to Morgenstern while still focussing on the bird soaring above them.

Familiar and Perfect T2 HP Crystal Activated!

Jonathan watched as Macradon kept his weight, fighting against the bird. He wa so close to finishing it off, the battle should have been won by now. The bird screeched once more before sailing upwards into the sky. It charged down, decking him, and sending his body flying back and into the red zone. His vision became tinted with red as he laye there upon the ground. He struggled to get back up. He reached back and unclipped two crystals from inside his armor. A red and blue crystal were held in his hand. "You owe me a crystal Macradon!" He laughed weakly before crushing the red crystal in his hand. Immediately, his health began to rise, bringing himself back up further. "SOL! GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE AND HEAL ME!" The bird soared down, safe from the sky and jetstreamed a wave of healing through him. His health rose even further. He smiled smugly, showing the bird he was not done yet. He had activated overtime mode, but he was still in the game. "I really need to get parry if I am ever going to tank like this again"  He chuckled and waited.

Chuckling lightly, Macradon would reply “It’s not my fault this damn thing is impossible to hit!” he would say in a playful tone, hiding away the frustration that was building up inside him. As the gigantic avian would descend for yet another attack, Macradon would get ready, already activating his sword art in advance to get in before the bird would already be swooping by him. His sword glowed as he would move forward in a motion that would strike upon the bird, but as the bird would came and his sword in its range, the big bird quickly maneuvered around it, dodging the attack like it was nothing. Macradon could do nothing but look as it would hit upon Morgenstern and deal yet another heavy blow to the tank. “That’s what you get for having more Hate than me” he would say, trying to keep the tone happy and cheery.

Jonathan would watch as Macradon attacked yet again, to fail once more. This was probably the most frustrating battle he had ever fought in. The fact that neither of them could land hits was absolutely irritating. They just needed one hit. Why could they not deal that?" Macradon tried to keep things light but using one of his crystals had been irritating enough and the bird had attacked again and he lost a lot of health again. "Might I remind you that I am supposed to have more hate than you? You are supposed to be hitting it while I tank. You got the jobs switched. I am not going to hit this thing" He moved in to go attack again, but the chance was lost as it began to soar back high into the air. If Macradon could just hit the bird, then perhaps he would not be dying?

Giggling lightly, Macradon was quite aware that it was Morgenstern’s job to grab the most hate and tank, but when he’s so low himself, he could’ve easily just let Rohk hit Macradon a few times before grabbing aggro again, it would’ve saved him a crystal. Macradon would begin to argue over it right now as their lives were actually in danger because of how difficult it was to actually get a hit on this freaking bird. Through all the times Macradon had tried to attack it, it had always just swept by him and attacked Morgenstern, but now he had another tactic. “Trust me on this one!” Macradon roared out as he face Morgenstern instead of Shi. He would lower himself and let his sword rest on the ground behind him in a low offensive guard. He would quickly begin a sprint as he noticed Shi to begin its descend again. Macradon was running straight towards Morgenstern. His sword began to glow as he would make a single spin around his axis and would then proceed to jump up into the air.

His sword was raised and was aimed to strike down on Morgenstern, but just like any other time, Shi was faster than Macradon. The bird would get between Morgenstern and the Sword of the Ancients. Macradon would smirk as his plan worked out nicely. The giant blade would cleave right through the bird like it was thin air. The heavy slam would send the bird crashing into the ground and lay down there, paralyzed from the mighty blow. Smirking lightly, Macradon would say with glee in his voice "Well that worked out perfectly!".

Jonathan would watched as Macradon would stand in front of the bird, who seemed hungry to attack him again. It swooped down at him once more, but Macradon was there, slamming his weapon into the bird to make it collapse into the ground. Jonathan smirked and noticed the creature was points from dying. He shook his head and charged forward, slicing through the bird. Its health moved down even farther, barely allowing the creature to live. Jonathan snarled, dissapointed that he had not finished off the creature. "I am sorry, perhaps you could finish it off from here?" The tank moved back away from the creature, looking rather disappointing as he stood in wait for the birds demise. He hated dealing such little damage. It sucked to have to only be able to tank. Something he would change after he completed his build.

“Sure thing” Macradon would say as he did what he had been doing for quite a while. Quickly lunging towards the grounded bird, Macradon would jump into the air as he spun, moving his sword around him in the swing and throw down a heavy slam to finally defeat the damn avian. Macradon would chuckle lightly as he would turn back to Morgenstern. “This was one hell of a fight … I think you deserve these materials” he would say as he handed over the loot drop from the boss. 10 T2 materials was sure enough to buy out a few crystals, Macradon needed them, but as he had seen Morgenstern use his crystal, Macradon couldn’t let himself just take them, Morgenstern deserved them more than he did. At least they both got their good boss drop loot. “This does seem cool” Macradon said as he looked angrily at the Absolute Accuracy drop. “Well, it has been quite a fight, I hope we see each other another time” he would say as he would wave off Morgenstern. “Oh yeah” he said as he turned back. He came back for a good battle brother handshake before he would actually leave.
