[F1 SP]Fishing for Sword <<The Fourth Lesson, Is Actually Free>>

Recommended Posts

After his last attack Hei was totally out of energy and so he had to fight the good old level one style, with nothing but normal stabs and thrusts and a lot of endurance, as the fight would take some time from now on. He fought with the fox, both of them landed some hits, that did not actually hurt the other, until Hei actually hit it witch a lucky strike. The spear pinned down the fox for a short moment and he used this short time to turn the spear around and hit the animal with the spears shaft.

The fox howled with pain, but Hei would not let it go, not until it was dead. He had used so much of his energy on this and it was really doing him a favour with keeping fighting, as he needed the motivation this fight gave him, to not get depressed, so he also howled, "awhoo, awhoo" to enrage the big animal.

Shortly after Hei had howled at the fox it showed that he had actually enraged the wild animal, as the fox began attacking him like a fury, biting and clawing at him and not actually stopping, even when he hit it with his spear, reducing it's health even more. The small animal bit into his legs and his arms whenever they came close enough, and after a while the pure amount of little attacks showed it's weight, when Hei's HP bar dropped, so it was just a little above half.

Hei jumped back from the beast and tried to hold it of, using his spear more like a stick than a spear. It was not as useful as he hoped it would be, but at least the beast couldn't reach him without Hei having a chance to hit it with the spear. So the fight went on, with both of them attacking and retreating, without ever hurting each other any more.

They fought on and on, both of them attacking the other with a kind of hatred, just people who have wounded each other could feel. Their attacks where unguided and not aimed well, but in the end Hei got lucky and a weak thrust of his spear was able to connect with the fox. The Spear sank into it's flesh, but the beast go not stopped by this. It ran around Hei, showing off it's superior speed.
Every time he had to turn around it used it's chance to bite either in to his leg, or the arm where he was not paying attention. After many of these hits Hei's HP bar had dropped to the yellow area, and it was clear, that he had to end the fight soon, if he was not willing to die. - I have to survive, I have to win this fight and go home to my store. I won't die to a simple mob, not like this. And in case there is a good chance of it killing me, I still could use a Healthpotion. - he thought, while the fox still circled him.

When the fox was behind him, he decided not to turn around, but to just run away a little, that was nothing the fox had anticipated, and so he was hit with surprise. His biting attack hit nothing but thin air and Hei was getting some distance between the two of them. When he thought he was far enough away, he turned around, and saw the fox running at him. he changed his stance from the jumpy quick style he had used all the time to use something he had uses in the early days, when he had been a two handed spear user.

He tightened his stand and when the fox jumped at him, aiming for his throat Hei raised the spear and tossed the fox over his head, while using it's own weight and speed against it, so the spear would penetrate its skin a little. When the fox was behind him it left the spear in his hands and he ran away again, so the distance between the both of them would be big enough for Hei to have time to react to whatever the fox would do.

The tactic of having enough space between oneself and the enemy looked as if it was a good one, so Hei stuck with it from now on. Whenever the fox came running at him, he either jumped away and used the time it would need to turn around and run at him again to get away far enough, or he would even toss the animal away, whenever there was a good chance.
His attacks did nearly no damage, but as long as the fox could not reach him, this was not a problem. The fight was long already, and it was not to bad, so why shouldn't it get a little longer. The next time the fox came running at Hei, he tried another trick, he had uses when he was super low level. He jumped over the fox, rammed down his spear and to his own surprise he hit the fox, damaging it, so it was nearly dead now.

After he had managed to jump over the running fox and even hit it, Hei felt as if he could do about everything, so he once again changed his style of fighting, he changed his grip on the spear, so he would use it with two hands and more like a bat, than a spear. When the fox came towards him, he sidestepped it, and within the movement he swung the spear, hitting the fox in the side. It left the ground and was sent flying, but before it could touch the ground again, it spattered into thousands of pixels. He had ended the fight.

Even before he pressed the accept button on the loot window, that had opened the moment the fox's HP had reached zero, he fell down to the ground, and with him his spear, which he let fall in the grass next to him. - This was exciting and exhausting, I should do some more training before trying something like this again. But on the other hand, I got quite some good materials out of it. -

After taking some time to regain some energy he left the wilds and returned to the town and his store...
