[F6-pp] Saving the Forest <<Deforestation>> with Stryder and Eatos

Recommended Posts

The girl herself had spent a lotta time simply looking at the Villiage. She did spent time hunting for the leader of the tribe, if only to see if it was Penthesilea. That being the legendary Amazoness Queen, who was slain by the hero Achilles in the Trojan War. However, it didn't appear to have any luck as the they were taken to where the fire tiger was. She checked her inventory once again, unable to stop herself from being somewhat nervous. Having her be the only one healing, with them lacking a tank, meant she had to do her job well, or risk one of them dying. If that happened, if they died, she wasn't sure she'd be able to fully forgive herself. She'd be fine, and she'd recover, but....but she'd carry that with her forever. She'd let people die on her watch, and she had done nothing to prevent it. But she would here, neither Hei nor Stryder was dying on her. They weren't allowed to.

Hei and his friends had followed the Amazon trough the settlement, until they reached a bridge across a small river, that lead right into the thick forest. This is where I have to let you go alone,as it is forbidden for us to enter this forest. I wish you the best for your fight with the beast and that you'll return without any wounds  she said before sending Hei and the others over the bridge. The Forest over there wasn't much different from what they had passed through when they came to the settlement, but one could feel, that there was something in the air. The sensation of being watched followed them wherever they walked and it seemed, as if the undergrowth made way for them, leading them directly towards a clearing, that wasn't natural. All over the place black smoking tree stumps looked like they where in a giant ash tray, and on the far side of this place of fire, a monstrous tiger was burning down another tree as high as a house.

"Let's use our chance and attack it from behind, as long as it is distracted" Hei quietly said to the others, before he grabbed his spear and sneaked up on the beast. When he was close enough for his swordskill to hit it, he charged his spear and quickly thrusts the weapon into the tigers hind legs. When it tries to turn around and attack him, he side steppes the claw and then hits it with the back of the spear to stun it, so the just attempted flaming attack gets cancelled.

Note, stun would have activated last turn, so he still got attack. However your EVA made it miss either way

Sky followed the two, wondering what this fight was going to be like.... He had yet to use his rank five skill, he had no idea how much damage he could do at all.... He was going to work this out... Once the fight starts. Once they got there, the Amozonian told the group that she had to leave, making sky al ittle nervous. She sounded worried.... And that they might get wounds... He shuddered, following Hei across the bridge. The forest seemed the exact same, but there was a slight tension hanging as they hunted towards where the giant flame tiger was, and all over black stumps marked the path it liked taking.

Sky watched as they got closer, and after awhile, they saw it..... Looking restless and just unaware. Sky nodded towards Hei, watching him sneak up and attack it, dealing a nice amount of damage. The tiger roared, and swung his claw, Hei experting blocking it and stunning it. Sky quickly bolted in shortly after, and pulling back his first, he ran right into it, his fist glowing a bright sky blue as he punched the wolf, and the moment his fist made contact, he felt like he was being pushed forward, and he ran a bit, tearing the tiger in two, it exploding behind him.

Wow.... How much damage did i just do....?

The plan seemed simple enough. After all, the tiger seemed unaware of their presence. She took a deep breath and felt her heartbeat. As usual, it was constant. She felt calm in the knowledge that heart was stable. She juggled her weapon, Gae Guide, in her right hand as she glanced at her shield. Hei and Stryder were taking it, but incase they got low...She could take the focus, for a short time. Still, that was for later. She watched as Hei went in and stunned the tiger, and thankfully avoided any attacks from it. She let out a slight sigh, at least her job wasn't going to be that hard...Sorta. Hei could look after himself.

As for Stryder, he charged in as usual and the girl raised her hand in preperations. She expected the monster to slash at him and take away a huge portion of his life. She Didn't expected the tiger to just explode. The girl was shocked, it hadn't even landed a hit on Either of them. "W-what...? I thought, its hp was still in the green..." She turned to Stryder "How much damage did you just do!"

Just as the Tiger had attacked him, Hei had just been lucky to not get hit by the beast, so he was still feeling very strange. His heart was beating really loudly and he wasn't sure if he could do so the next time the beast would attack him, but just a moment later he had no reason to think about it anymore, as a sky blue light appeared besides him and within a few seconds the field boss exploded into pixels. He had to shake his head to get rid of all kind of silly thoughts and realize that it had been Stryder who just had killed the beast from it having nearly four fifth of it's HP. When He heard the surprised question of Eatos he knew that it had not just been his imagination, but Stryder really had killed it with this one blow. "Wow Stryder, what just happened?" was the only thing he could ask before a sound made him look down, to see that there was some loot he could take. Hei accepted what ever it was the boss had dropped and looked back at Stryder, waiting for him to answer their questions, while taking of his armour and equipping the Harbingers Cloak, so he would represent the guild well when they told the Amazon that they had ended the problem.

Sky gulped. He had wanted to keep it a secret........ But he seemed to have failed. His secret was out...... But he didn't even know what it was himself, so he had no idea what to tell them. He had no idea how to tell them that he had started using Arts he didn't know how to use, or anything like that. It was random, and it sounded like hacking! He looked at the two, not knowing what to say, but deciding to just stay quiet about it... Say he got a critical or something.

"Don't know, must have gotten a critical, or just got lucky and it was weaker then we thought" He said with a laugh, seeming happy and satisfied... Though he wasn't. He didn't like lying to his guildmates and friends... They were important to him, he didn't want to lose them! They meant so much, so much that he couldn't lose them....

Eatos looked right at Stryder, and she knew it. He was lying at herself and Hei. She knew the signs of a liar, after all, it takes one to know one. Although, why he didn't want others knowing was beyond her. It was something to use as a weapon, not to hide. While the girl was tempted to call Stryder out, the opted against it. She would figure it out, in time. She let out a slight sigh as she forced her mind to move on. She, at the end of it all, hadn't done a single thing to help in that fight. It simply hadn't lasted long enough for her to heal anyone.

"Well, whatever just happened, i think that's the boss down" She said simply, placing her weapon at her hip and looked around. She had hoped to find something beneficial out in the forest, but it seemed that, once again, she'd come up empty. That sucked, so far, this trip had done nothing to help, other than informing her that Stryder had something he wanted to keep to himself.

Something was odd about how Stryder reacted, but Hei wasn't eager to discuss it, as he was happy with having some friends and he was not going to destroy this by asking questions when one could clearly see that Stryder didn't want to talk about it. So when he told them with a laugh that he might just have gotten lucky, Hei was ok with this answer even if it wasn't the truth. "Ok, might have happened. One never knows the true strength of these bosses. " he said, before turning around and having a look at the surrounding burned forest. - I once heard that there is a big chance of finding treasure chests close to field bosses, so let's give it a try - he thought, then told the others, that he would go and look if there was something left to do. When he walked towards where the tiger had once walked he noticed some stumps that looked suspicious as if they could hide a chest of some kind, but when he looked he realized it was just a part of the tree that had not been burned that much. After walking around and not finding he returned and simply said "Looks as if there is nothing left to do. Let's go back and tell them about our victory"

Sky didn't know of the two called his lie or not.... He didn't want to admit that he had this skill at this peak, it was strange, out of all of them he was the only one with a grandmastered skill. Out of all his friends, he was the only one he actually knew who had a grandmastered skill, not including any of the frontliners he had met.... He nervously waited, and silently breathed a sigh of relief as both of them didn't question him about it, instead just accepting what he said.... He was glad that they did that, he didn't want to lie, but he didn't want to be treated differently either...

Maybe soon i can stop lying....

"Well, the quest says cleared already, so i guess were good! I'l see ya guys later" He said, smiling as he started running off into the still smouldering forest, not minding to much about anything, he was confident he could find the right way to tell them that he had this....
