[PP-F6] Guild Bonding (Jevi)

Recommended Posts

Spencer rubbed his eyes as he fully came to, he was surprised by the look of everything, but was happy to be out of a thin corridor where all he could hear was Jevi's Boob-scrap along the stone walls. The thought of the noise made him chuckle slightly and try to hide the laugh from Jevi as the two traveled further into the pyramid. He was trying to ignore the fact that the corridor across from them was there, but Jevi sure as hell was not going to ignore the fact that it was there, and even went right for it. "H-Hey! Wait for me!" He called and ran after her, watching her slowly getting swallowed up by the dark.

Spencer entered the corridor and he felt a chill come over himself. He didn't know if it was just his own fear, the darkness, something coming, or a combination of all three, but he was getting a bit of chill and opened up his inventory, putting on his cloak and looking around the hallway. He had no idea where the pair were going, but he was happy to actually have someone with him, the last time he explored alone, well that ended up with an action movie ending with a explosion and a dying creature. The darkness was slowly creeping in on them, and the room behind, the light was fading away a bit. "Okay... Where to kno-" A door to their right lit up, the torches flashing with fire being turning into a steady flame.

The steel of Jevi's armor seemed to run cold, sending a cold shiver throughout her entire body. The darkness that enveloped them was so thick that she could have sword that she felt it, like a blanket being placed over her head. Soon after she had entered through the ominous archway, Spencer followed. Her boots slowly carried her forward, the armor on her shins sounding out with each step. Their next objective was not clear to the two, for there seemed to be no light at the end of this dark tunnel. Just when a part of her considered turning around to find a torch to light their way, a door to their right was suddenly illuminated with the fierce burning fire of torches. The flames seemed more powerful than normal, wiping the chill from her body almost immediately. ~"Lets check it out" Jevi said in a shaky whisper, not denying that the sudden combustion of the torches had spooked her.

The room they had emerged into was much smaller than the last, yet the walls were much more adorned with the last. Clay pots scattered the room, most looking just as untouched as the rest of the pyramid. On the floor, a long dusty rug that seemed to lead straight to an alter of some kind, a sheet laying over the top of it. ~"Looks like... some sort of place of worship.." Jevi said as she curiously continued forward to inspect the alter. Slowly, Jevi raised a hand to place it upon the top of the sheet covered alter. However, as her palm pressed into the top, she found that she was pressing the white cloth farther in, revealing the 'alter' to be hollow. Her fear formed a knot in her throat, which she swallowed down, curling her fingers into a fist with a ball of the white sheet in her hand. After a deep breath, she yanked the cloth off, revealing what was inside.

The alter was, in fact, not an alter at all, but a coffin without a lid. Inside of the stone box were the decaying remains of a body, tightly wrapped in strips of cloth, and lavish jewelry and coins filling the spaces next to its body like water in a tub. The startled woman stumbled back, not expecting to see a dead body inside. As she stepped back, the heel of her foot caught one of the fragile clay pots, the force knocking it to its side, shattering to pieces. ~"[censored]." Jevi cursed under her breath, taking her focus off of what was happening in front of her. From the small tomb, a mummified hand rose up. grabbing the stone side of the coffin, a low grumble coming from inside. Slowly, the undead creature rose up to its feet, turning to the two players who disturbed its slumber with a single, piercing red eye.

Spencer looked a tad worried at Jevi, not really wanting to enter the weird area that almost got burnt down to the ground, but Jevi wanted to and he was sure that being by himself was not a good idea. He walked in right behind Jevi, equally as confused by everything they were seeing. The clay pots scattered everywhere, and what seem to be a slab of stone covered by a cloth. "Did we just stumble upon a cult?" Wait.. why would cult members need clay pots scattered around the room. He shrugged and looked around, watching Jevi out of the corner of his eyes, seeing her hand sink into the cloth. "Oh no.." He mumbled, they were in a pyramid, with clay pots that could be holding something... like organs.... He opened his eyes as he thought what could be underneath, and he was correct. A wrapped body in cloth laid there, still, looking like it was sleeping. "Oh my god." He gasped and took a small step forward, looking at the dead body.

What made Spencer almost yell was the cracking of a pot, and the rising of a dead body. The hand rose up and gripped the stone, making his stomach drop, and the body slowly coming up with a red eye made him shiver a bit. Spencer looked down and picked up a pot, throwing it at the mummy. It shattered against its head and Spencer turned to Jevi. "I think it needs more beauty sleep." He mumbled and ran to the entrance, grabbing Jevi's wrist.

The two entered the dark hallway, and the mummy was slowly getting up, growling and mumbling something dark underneath its' breath. Spencer looked at Jevi, back at the room they went, or down the hallway to possibly more door ways. "W-where should we go?"

Jevi watched as the mummy slowly rose to its feet, the sound of bones cracking and popping into place as it did so. The monster stood about another foot or so taller than the two, leaving Jevi to only wonder just what kind of king or queen they had buried here. At this point, it may be best for the two to slowly make their way out, to avoid angering the mummy any more, with hopes that it would just go back to resting if they left it alone. A moment later, however, she saw one of the smaller clay pots fling past her person, crashing into the head of the mummy. Its head jerked back, knocking it off balance. Jevi's own head spun to face Spencer, who had thrown the pot, grabbing her wrist in the meantime to drag her back out the entrance. As the woman turned back to look, the mummy had snapped back into place, lifting its long legs, one after another, to move itself from inside its tomb. ~"Shitshitshit." Jevi cursed as she turned forward again, being led by Spencer back where they had come from.

As they stood in the dark hallway again, they had two choices, go back the way they came, or go back down the dark hallway. Though the woman was feeling up to adventure before,  she would rather not be killed by this monster due to her own curiosity. ~"Lets head back." Jevi said, quickly running with Spencer towards the prior room. As she began to move towards the torch lit room, she felt her foot sink slightly into the ground, the sound of stones scraping against each other as it sank. A large stone slab then came crashing down in front of them, blocking the doorway back to the entrance they had used. Though it was dark, the large flame from the prior room gave her a little bit of visibility of the wall that had just blocked their path, noticing four small holes. Before she could observe them much, thin darts shot from the holes towards the players, whistling through the air as they approached their targets. ~"Get down!" Jevi shouted, grabbing Spencer's arm and throwing him to the ground behind her. The woman then raised her gauntlet clad arm in front of her body, two of the darts deflecting off of her armor, a third whizzed past her head, the final one connected in the space between her armor on her thigh, doing a small amount of damage, also adding a poison effect to the girl. ~"[censored]!" she cursed out, feeling a tingling sensation spread throughout her leg.

From behind them, she heard the sound of the mummy once again, emerging from the door way and glaring at the two, mumbling something in an unknown language. ~"Q-quick! Down the hall!" Jevi shouted, helping Spencer to his feet and limping down the dark hallway, feeling as though she was losing feeling in her leg.

Spencer stood in the hallway, but was quickly dragged down the darkened path by Jevi, who was trying to get back to the main area where they had come from, trying to escape so they didn't have to deal with all of what the mummy had to offer the pair. Just as he thought, for a moment, that they could get out easy, a large stone slab came crashing down in front of them, making the floor shake and him to take a wobbly step backwards. "Oh no, more traps. What is the cie-" He didn't want to jinks it, maybe the ceiling could actually come down on them, he had no idea.

He did, however, come crashing down to the ground as Jevi dragged him down, poison darts shooting from the new blockade in front of them. Jevi raised up her armored arm and deflected two of the darts, breaking as they came into contacts with the metal. A third came dangerously close to Spencer, and the fourth made a sickening incision on to Jevi's body, sinking into her leg. She swore out and slowly got up, the dart already taking effect on the woman. However, the mummy wasn't going to let the two sit there and try to figure out what to do, it was already starting to leave the room that they left it in, coming for the two players.

Spencer got up as Jevi led the way down the hallway. He was quick to follow her, keeping up with the limping woman, while also trying his best to make sure the mummy stays behind them, but the mummy was oddly starting to make some distance even though it was walking so slowly, almost gliding down the stone as it moved. Spencer looked around a moment and saw a door on their left. The hallway was littered with them, so finding a door that the mummy would check was going to be more in their favor, but the mummy could find them. Spencer stopped for a minute and looked at Jevi. She was limping and it seemed like her leg didn't work all that well." A-are you okay?"

The mummy was slow compared to the other two players, even with Jevi's currently bum leg. They had managed to create some distance between themselves and the un-dead creature, giving them a moment to decide their next actions. Spencer showed concern for Jevi, asking if she was alright after being shot in the thigh. ~"Y-yeah. I'll be fine." she said, ~"The dart itself didn't do much damage.. but there's a lingering poison that draining a bit of my health, but it should wear off before it gets dangerously low." the woman reached down, wrapping her fingers around the feathered edge of the dart that stuck out of her leg. As she touched it, she felt discomfort at the wound, before yanking the arrow from her leg with a grunt. ~"It mush have a small paralyze effect too.. because I'm losing most of the feeling in my leg." She rubbed her thigh where she had pulled out the dart, looking around at all of the doors around them. They all looked the same, just leading to more hallways or dark rooms. ~"We need to find another way out of here... how about this way." Jevi said, pointing to the door directly across from them. Inside the doorway, they could see another hallway, torches were bolted to the walls, but they were too distant from each other to bring enough light to the room. Gritting her teeth, and her nerves getting to her, the woman rushed forward into the room.

The moment they had walked into the room, another stone slab slammed shut, blocking the way they had just entered, bringing complete darkness to the room. The torches around the wall burned brighter, as well as other sources of light around the room, making most of the room visible. ~"Damn.. we need to try and find a way out.... wait.. do you hear that?" From the still darkened center of the room, Jevi heard a sound.. almost like the hissing of a snake, but constant. Walking to the center of the room to investigate, she felt that she had been walking on sand, and the closer she got, the more sand there was. It was then she realized that sand had been pouring from the ceiling at an alarming rate, and spreading quickly to the room like a flood. ~"Spencer! We need to find the door out of her quickly!" she shouted over to him, the sand already moving up towards her knees.

Spencer eyed a door with some suspicion, but also a bit of fear that could come from the room that was in front of them. However, they had no choice in where they wanted or needed to go. Jevi entered a room, with Spencer right on her heels, but the pyramid had another plan for the duo. A large slab slammed down on the the ground behind them, blocking the entrance just like the last doorway they tried to go into, but this time they were trapped in the room they were already in. The room looked as standard as any they had been in, but there seemed to be no doorways, a dead end of sorts. "Are you kidding me? We're trapped in he-" He stopped, there was a persistent noise. What is that He thought to himself and moved forward, but Jevi mentioned the same noise before turning back to him, sand pouring down and starting to fill in the room. Spencer's heart started to pound faster as he waded through the sand. He looked around for something, but he had no idea what he was looking for.

"This Sand has to go somewhere, and come from somewhere." He said to her and looked up, there was a small hole at the ceiling pouring out sand. He looked down, and he couldn't see the floor anymore. He started to dig through the sand, trying desperately to find any type of trap door, or switch, or something they could use to escape the sand trap. After a moment of looking, he was helpless. "The ceiling?" He called to her, the sand reaching close to his hips. He was constantly stepping up, trying to stay above the falling sand.

The coarse sand continued to pile up as the two players frantically looked for a way of escape. Jevi could already feel the grains of sand filling in the spaces between her armor, weighing down her legs. However, she fought her hardest to keep above the danger. Spencer, in his light armor, struggled less with digging himself out, trying to figure out where they could escape. He made a good point, that the sand must have been coming from somewhere, and suggested the ceiling. Mustering up as much strength as she could, the brunette dug herself out, picking up her legs, one at a time, on top of the growing piles of sand. Slowly, the space between the sand and the ceiling was becoming less. Climbing her way to the top of the hill, Jevi began to feel around the roof above them, trying to find the opening where the sand came from. Eventually, she felt an opening and called over to Spencer, ~"Here! I found it!" The woman threw her arms up, grabbing onto the first ledge she could find and pulled herself up. Her armor, filled with sand, weighed her down, making pulling herself up difficult. ~"Spencer! I need your help!" she felt her finger tips slipping with her weight pulling her down.

Spencer was digging through the sand, frantic at this point and trying to get out as much sand as he possibly can. He looked around and saw that Jevi was slowly climbing up the sand and looking at the ceiling, looking for a way out. Spencer was still looking at the floor, but he decided to stop. He couldn't reach the floor with how fast it was coming and he looked up, Jevi calling for his help. He looked up to see the girl starting to slip from the panel she found to get out.

He ran as far as he could through the sand, watching the sand start to weigh her down into the sand. "[Censored]-it." He groaned and gripped her hand so she didn't get swallowed by the ever increasing sand. Spencer was never a strong man, but the adrenaline was starting to flow through him and making him grunt with effort. Finally, he was able to pop the ceiling open, and he started to push Jevi up into the ceiling to get her out of the room.

Jevi knew if she ended up falling, she would not be able to get back up, not without Spencer's help. Though the sand got closer to the ceiling, which would normally make it easier to move through the panel she had found, the heavy sand that locked in between her armor weighed her down greatly. Her grip weakened, and her eyes clamped shut, before feeling Spencer's arms grab at her legs. With his support, Jevi was able to lift herself out of the sand and into the dark room above them. The moment she felt solid ground beneath her again, she extended her arm back down, grabbing Spencer just below the wrist, and pulled him up to where she was. Once the two were safe, she sat back and let out a sigh of relief. ~"That was a close one.." she said in a soft voice, staring up towards the dark ceiling. As she sat on the slightly coarse ground, the began shaking out her boots to get all of the sand out. ~"Do you see a way out of here?" she asked him, taking a quick look around for some sort of exit.

Spencer was starting to get swallowed by the sand, and he didn't think it through that he wouldn't be able to get out too easily. He blindly reached for the ledge, but luckily Jevi grabbed his arm and pulled him from the sand. He coughed and laid on the ground, heaving and panting, trying to catch his breath. "Jesus Christ." He mumbled and wiped sand off of his body. "You know what they say, sand is always on your body." He turn to Jevi and mumbled. She said something trying to find a way out, and Spencer looked around, scanning the dark room. His eyes were still trying to adjust, so it was kind of hard for him to really see anything beyond where he was. He looked back at Jevi and shrugged, he had no idea where to go or an exit. "At least we are away from the mummy, we have some time to breathe." He coughed up some sand a little bit after saying and laughed softly. He stood up and slowly walked around, leaving a trail of sand behind him. He touched the wall and the stone felt moveable, actually all the stones seemed moveable." They all move, so maybe one of these is the way out?"

Spencer was right about that, the mummy was no where in sight. The woman closed her eyes and shifted her weight to the palms of her hands for a moment, feeling safe for the time being. She wasn't sure just what level that mummy was on, or if it was even possible to kill. However, she knew that Spencer was only half the level she was, and even then Jevi was not high enough to take on a unique monster like that on this floor. If it was still after them, they would need to find a way to out wit it, or simply escape.

After asking Spencer if he had seen a way out, he seemed to get up and search the room. Jevi rose to her feet, taking a quick scan around the room herself to see if she spotted an exit as well. When she saw no obvious exit, she wondered if the sand would eventually empty out from the room below them, and if they could climb back down. Her eyes shifted back upwards to Spencer when she heard the sound of stones scraping against each other. The sandy-haired man had discovered that a few of the stone walls were movable. Could she push one out of the way to reveal an exit? Walking over to where Spencer stood, she leaned her shoulder into one of the walls and pressed her body weight against it, nothing budging. ~"Yeah.. not all of them" She said with an annoyed tinge to her voice. Placing a hand on her chin, she walked to another wall and pressed against it, this time, the stone moving forward with her weight before stopping. ~"There, that one moved. See anything yet?"

  • 2 weeks later...

Spencer was busy messing with the bricks in the wall, not really paying much attention to anything else, except the annoyed twinge in Jevi's voice. He internally winced and hoped that the annoyance was not pointed at him, but the situation that the two of them were in. He was feeling around and sure enough, most of the rocks were not moving. He frowned for a little bit and walked around, Jevi calling out that she also moved one and that if he saw something. For a moment, he did not see anything, then off on the other side of the wall, he saw a small movement.

"Yeah! I did see something!" He called out and leaned down where he saw it, and sure enough, a panel started to slide open. "This panel started to move, we wouldn't be able to fit, but maybe we can find ones that can open it." He started to walk around and pushed against one, the rock slowly moving. It was a lot of effort, but when he pushed it in, it stayed in place luckily. "I guess it is just a game of chance?" He shrugged and felt more of the wall, another panel above the first one opened where Spencer pushed the stone.

Push in the movable block that Jevi had found did, in fact, move a panel on the other side of the room. Excited that he was beginning to figure out the way this room worked, Spencer searched around the room for another brick to push into the wall. Jevi slowly walked along the wall, doing the same, yet keeping her golden gaze on Spencer to make sure that he did not push a wrong panel and activate a trap of some sorts. After much trial and error, Jevi saw Spencer's hand sink slowly into the wall as another block was pushed inwards, causing another small panel above him to move out of the way. ~"Yeah.. looks like a big guessing game. Alright, lets keep looking." Jevi continued to walk around the large room, trying different panels. When her hand finally felt one with no resistance behind it, she pushed both of her hands against the stone to set it backwards. As the block went into the wall, it pushed the one next to it out of the way. Since the opening was eye level with the woman, she took a quick look through to see just what was on the other side.

At the same moment she looked through, a familiar, decaying arm shot out through the opening, latching itself onto Jevi's shoulder. The girl screamed as she tried to pull free, the mummy pulling back, trying to pin the woman to the wall. ~"Spencer!" She cried out, as she tried to take her sword from her belt to free herself. Raising the blade up high over her head, Jevi chopped down, taking out the mummy at the wrist. The hand, still holding onto her armor as she fell onto her back, scrambling to throw the disembodied hand off of her. ~"[censored]!"

While the two were searching for blocks, Spencer started to think about what all could happen to them. So much has already happened in this stupid pyramid, he was not expecting much else, but he never knew what could come next. While the two of them started to search for the blocks, he looked over at Jevi, keeping his eye out for her while they did this guess and check game of blocks. She already had a dart go into her leg, so he had no idea how she was holding up. He was about to say something to her, but she found the third brick to press, the wall opening high enough for Jevi to look in. He gave a small sigh of relief when the two were about to escape from the room, but that was not exactly how it was going to happen. Jevi screamed Spencer's name and he saw to his horror that the mummy grabbed onto her. Spencer gasped as it tried to pin her to the wall, but luckily she was able to cut the hand free.

"Jevi!" He yelled and ran over to her, grabbing at the hand and slowly prying it off of her armor. He looked up and saw the mummy standing in the opening, staring at the two."Uhh... What do we do." He said, not so much as a question to her, but as a worry of his own mind. He looked around the room, and other than the sand pit they crawled from, there was not much they could do. He helped her to a standing position and looked at the mummy. "Umm.... Uhh." He looked around and tried pressing the pushed in bricks again to close them again to stop the mummy.

Spencer had ran over to Jevi, helping to tear the decomposing hand off of her shoulder. Once he had ripped it from her armor and tossed it to the ground, it shattered as most enemies would when their health had depleted. Her shaken, golden eyes went from the hand that had just vanished back to the small opening. The mummy looked pained for a moment, before stepping back up to the wall, trying to reach its way through to the two players. Lucky for the two of them, however, the remaining blocks that separated them from their undead enemy would not give.

Still feeling a bit of the numbness in her leg, Jevi struggled to stand and walked over to Spencer, who was obviously panicking at the situation. "Spencer" she said in a calm voice, placing her hand on his shoulder to try and calm his nerves. "We are fine. It can't get us as long as we are careful." her eyes went back to where the mummy growled and scratched at the wall. "It seems like some of these blocks may open up that passage, while others might open up out way out. She searched the area to see if there was any pattern to the blocks that they had pressed in to find the correct one.. The woman sucked her teeth and shook her head, all of the panels they had pressed in were random. "Alright.. lets look around to see if we can find any more. I'm guessing we may only need one more to escape.. but at the same time.." she looked back at the mummy. "Our friend may be able to escape if we find the wrong block.. we need to be careful. So I suggest we find both of them.. You press your block in first, then I'll press mine.."

The woman began to walk along the wall, her bronze fingertips gliding along the sandy stone, trying to see where it would give. "If the panel you find unlocks our way out, then I don't have to press mine in.. But if yours opens up the path for the mummy, then mine will open the way out."  Walking into the far corner of the room, Jevi found one of the last blocks, all the way against the floor in the corner. "I found mine, any luck on your end?"

Spencer was panting heavily, but Jevi was able to start calming him down. He nodded slowly and looked at Jevi, taking a deep breath, and sighing softly. "Okay... I'm sorry. Lets figure this horrible situation out." He gave himself a second to calm down. Come on Spencer, get yourself together. If you keep freaking out you two will die in here and that is not good. Lets get going and try to open this hopefully other room that can let us out. He sighed softly and walked towards the wall, running his hands over the stone and feeling for any indent that there could be to help them get out.

Jevi called out that she found another stone, and he frantically tried to look for his, luckily he finally found it and felt it press in slightly. He stopped moving it as quickly and looked over at Jevi. "Found it! About to press it!" He yelled and pressed it. He held his breath, and luckily another panel open up right next to Spencer. He looked at it and yelled back to Jevi. "Another way out!" He called and turned to the door way, stepping it, not much light radiating in the room. It was a smaller room with seats and obelisks, almost like a place of prayer. He looked confused around but decided to stop walking, not wanting to press anything or disrupt anything.

After finding his block, Spencer hesitantly pressed it into the wall. The brunette bit down on her lip as the sound of the stone scraping echoed off the thick walls. Her eyes locked on the open slot where the mummy still struggled, trying to push its way through to the two players. She could feel her heart racing, pounding against the bones of her ribcage, terrified of just what could possibly happen next. Would they open the doorway to the next room? or would they clear a path for the mummy to finish the two off. The hand that was gently placed among the moving block froze in place, her eyes clamping shut as she heard the sound of a large moving block.

Seconds later, Spencer yelled out that he had found another way out. Jevi's eyes opened, a feeling of relief rushing through her body. "Good job!" She called out as she hurriedly made her way over to the sandy haired boy. As she passed by the mummy, the block she had accidentally moved out of the way moved into place yet again, closing the mummy into the room yet again. The room that Spencer had revealed seemed like some sort of temple or meditation chamber, tall structures reaching towards the ceiling, with stone seats placed in aisles. "What.. is this place..?" Jevi said under her breath, slowly walking aside Spencer.

"Looks like they prayed here.... which means there is a better way out than digging through sand for a few days." He scoffed a bit and looked around. Old papers of parchment littered the ground, almost like hymns and bibles. "Definitely a place of worship, but why in a pyramid.." He wondered to himself, walking to the front of the church-esque area. It looked like a stone podium standing on a raised platform, giving the speaker the higher ground when preaching to the congregation. His higher standing area let him see a dim light up top, with a door. It looked like a second floor hanging above the first, for extra worship. "Hey Jevi, there seems to be some sort of second floor with a door, but I have no idea how to get up there." He mumbled and walked around the front area some more.

He knelt down and saw a lever carved into the podium, and Spencer hesitated. Maybe it will bring down the stairs for us to escape? But maybe a trap... or maybe the mummy? He decided to leave it alone and stood up, turning around and looking at the shelf, many books were on it, standing up with their titles faded away. Spencer studied them for a moment.

Jevi slowly walked around the dark room, making her way down the center isle, her eyes scanning each row of eroding seats as she passed. Why would they need a place of prayer in a place like this.. but the more important question was.. what were they worshiping? She began to search the room for some statues or alters to represent some sort of deity.. yet she found nothing. Spencer spoke out, having the same concerns as her. A hand led to Jevi's chin as she thought about studying the Pyramids of Egypt, where her parents and ancestors lived. "The Great Pyramids were meant to be tombs.. not temples. The Pharaohs and other important members of royalty would be buried there.. After that, they were usually sealed, with no real entryways." Her eyes widened a bit as she turned to look at the seats once again. "What if.. those that did worship here were some kind of devout cult.. that sealed themselves inside of this pyramid. Only to die inside here.." Remembering the mummy that came to life and attacked them,  only made her worry that they might run into more undead.. since there seemed to be no bones or traces of decomposing bodies. "We need to find a way out of here.. and fast."
