She didn't want to get up really, she was quite comfortable right here on her log. It was safe, for now, and there was nothing around that was going to try and murder her, for now. If you really look at it, she was alone in a forest with a dagger. How safe could one really be from anything in her position? While sitting on a log? Yeah, she didn't entirely think that through, but she did need to catch her breath.

Besides, while running, she could have missed something important or ran up to something important. But as she looked around from her "safe" haven on the log, she noticed that there was nothing but trees around her. Well, that was to be obvious since she managed to get herself into a miniature forest on the floor, but that wasn't going to stop her from being amazed at the amount of trees.

It was time to start moving, she sighed as she walked, unsure of what it even was that she was doing out here anymore. She just wanted a familiar, but for some reason, it was just not working in her favor. So, she pushed herself off of the log as she started to walk one more. Oh how she couldn't wait to see what this adventure was going to hold for her. Honestly, she was hoping for something along the lines to go with her name, a poison.

A spider or a snake would be wonderful when one really thinks about it. But many people try to kill spiders right off the bat, something about them not being nice or something. Wouldn't that just make it the best thing for her? But then again, she was called a snake all of her life, so perhaps finding a snake to be her familiar would be the best course of action for the woman.

Her walk was soon stopped though, she noticed a marker for a monster run by, but it didn't seem to notice her. She could use that to her advantage. She followed the direction that it went until she saw the marker once more and a wolf just standing on a rock. She smiled as she grabbed her dagger and started to run to the wolf then around it. Her dagger's blade was starting to glow black before she stabbed it twice. She watched as the wolf's life drained from it and it turned to fragments.

Well, that was a fast fight wasn't it. She smiled to herself before she looked at the loot that she just got from her kill. She chuckled lightly as she looked at the col being put into her bank and there was even a rare trinket. That might come in handy later, she would have to wait and see really. But first, she was going back to her hunt, and she was going to find something today.

That had been such an easy fight, she didn't know what to do with herself at the moment. Like, how could something be that simple to kill? It really made no sense to her, and it just baffled her really. Okay, you can give me something harder to fight now, this is starting to get boring. Careful Lethia, you don't want to tempt the Gods, that could end up going horribly for you. But then, Lethia didn't seem to care, she just wanted to kill things, but couldn't at the moment because there was nothing to kill, again.

She rolled her eyes at herself and her inner complaining. Such a drama queen, she loved it. But, there was still that boredom that not having anything to fight that was being caused. She didn't want to be bored, so, she started to walk once more. She was hunting at this point, and not just for a familiar.

But her walk was proving to be fruitless. She couldn't even find a damn piece of material laying on the ground. What was this? She shook her head at this entirely horrible situation that she had gotten herself into. She was still walking about the little forest area that she had ran into when running from that boar. She was still mad that the boar even made her feel like she had to run away. What kind of luck was that? Not the kind that she wanted really.

She was going to have to invest into something with some accuracy, that much she knew for sure. But she was going to have to find a shop to do that at. Perhaps she could hunt down another Artisan once she was back in town and done with this quest. But first, she still needed to finish this quest. She wasn't about to go back to town empty handed.

Her boring walk was just getting more and more boring. How was she supposed to combat being this bored, when there apparently seemed to be nothing for her to do? This was just turning into something that she was loathing more than the people who 'raised' her. Actually, they might be on the same level now, funny how that happens right? She shook her head to be rid of those venomous thoughts, now wasn't the time for that.

Why? Because there was a wasp flying for her, but before she even let the wasp notice that she was there, she was running circles around it. Her dagger was glowing black just before she stabbed the wasp twice, killing it instantly. Why do things seem to be so easy to kill in here, but that damn boar refused to die? This was starting to get a little frustrating, but she closed her loot window and started walking again.

Another easy kill, she really was confused about this. Things shouldn't be this easy to kill with her being level one right? But here she was, annihilating everything but that one boar. Oh how she wished that she could go and find that boar to murder it just to keep her kill streak going. But nope, it was probably long gone at this point, and she didn't feel like taking the chances. So instead, she just continued to walk through this little forest.

It was peaceful, and not in the horrible way to her. Perhaps she should look into getting a place on a forest floor. But then, were all forests peaceful like this? She didn't know, but she was willing to find out if it meant not having to worry about every little thing. But there was still the factor now of, how was she going to get out of this forest?

She's basically walked in circles, so she would more than likely have to follow her map. Speaking of, she opened that and created a custom marker to be able to get out. She would just follow that later when she wanted to leave the little forested area. But for now, she had a feeling that this forest was still holding things for her, she just needed to find them to figure out what. Sadly though, as she was walking, she didn't watch where she was walking.

This led her to tripping right over a box. She caught herself before she fell face first into the ground and she sighed. Damn, I'm stupid. She fixed herself so that she could look at what it was the she tripped over. So, it was a box, but it was locked. She was curious as to what this locked box would have, and she wanted to get into the box to figure it out.

She was now sitting in front of the treasure chest, trying to figure out a way to open the thing. She knew that a key would work, but that would involve her having to have a key to be able to even attempt that. So, instead, she looked at her dagger and grinned. She knew how she was going to be able to do this. She took the tip of her dagger and started to pry open the lid of the treasure chest. She did this carefully and after a few minutes, it finally popped open, revealing a bunch of goodies inside.

She quickly picked up the materials, col, weapon, and consumables before she pushed the box to the side. She didn't care about that at this point. Instead, she smiled as she put her spoils away before standing up. Well, that wasn't a horrible find. She liked what she got from the chest, and she wasn't about to complain about it, at all.

New spoils and from something that she didn't expect to find at all, that was a nice surprise. Something that she enjoyed. But, that enjoyment was soon over when she saw a marker for a monster. This was a new enjoyment that took place, something that meant that she was about to have fun killing something. What happened to make this woman like this? No therapist wants to know. Not that she would tell anyways. But, she dashed forward, going right for the wolf.

She started to run a few circles around it before she stabbed the wolf with her dagger twice. It didn't die right away, but that was okay. That just meant that this was going to be slightly linger, which was something that she could work with. She easily stepped out of the way of the wolf's attack as she smiled. Yeah, this is going to be fun.

The wolf seemed to be too slow to be able to hit her, that kind of sucked for the wolf really. If you looked at it right, it could look like Lethia was just going to wipe the floor with the wolf. She eve thought that same exact thing when she hit it again with her dagger, only to watch as it stopped with a single hit point left. Now that, was just unfair game. Seriously, who in the world would want to be left on the level of a single hit point left while still fighting something?

The wolf didn't like this fact either it seemed like. For the moment he was able to attack, he did. He pounced on Lethia, pushing her to the ground before he started to dig his back claws into her hips. She yelped with her own pain before she managed to push the wolf off of her, and she glared at it. Now, it was going to die.

Her glare seemed to tell the wolf exactly what was about to happen, because he tried to run from her. But she was having none of that. She  quickly chased it and stabbed it right in the side, causing the wolf to not only stop in place, but to turn to a cloud of fragments. Two can play this game wolf. She grinned as she looked at the loot that she got, but the grin soon disappeared. "Really?! That's it?!" She was livid, and for no real reason.

She felt that she was entitled to more since she's been at this for the entire day, but nope, she was stuck with basically nothing. She shouldn't really be complaining though, because this was all going to come in handy for her later, she just didn't know it yet. But for now, she started to walk once more, wondering when she was going to run into this familiar that she was supposed to be taming.

What was one supposed to do when she was pissed at the fact that she got absolutely nothing? Why keep walking and just wait for the luck to change. Of course, that wasn't going to happen if she was to continue acting like this, but someone else please try to tell her, she doesn't like to listen. The woman brushed some hair out of her face as she walked and she noticed that there was a new log. She sat down and looked at her map. She wasn't too far from her marker, and that was nice.

But she still hadn't found her familiar, so she wasn't leaving this little forested area. Not yet. She was going to keep trudging along and hoping that she will find something. But what is one to do when she is literally running out of ambition? Why start creating more of course, and that is what she was currently trying to do.

Now, creating ambition isn't the easiest thing in the world, and it sucks, a lot. Once someone like Lethia was down on ambition, it took a lot of convincing to make that ambition come back. But of course, she decided to go about this alone, so there was no one here to boost her morale. Well, there was herself, but she sucked at boosting another persons morale, how would she be good at boosting her own? She didn't know, but she might as well try right?

So, sitting on this log, she started to tell herself mentally that things were going to work out in her favor and that there was no reason the fear failure coming to take over. Even if the sun was going to be setting here in a few hours, there was no true reason to worry. Nope, none at all. Right? Uh oh, she was starting to doubt her own words, what is there that can help her in this moment?

Something shiny on the ground. That was perfect timing world, thank you. She bent down and picked up the material and smiled. Yeah, luck was on her side and she knew it now. So, she pushed herself off of the log and she started to walk some more. She was going to start heading back to her marker, if she had to hunt for a familiar outside of this little forest, then she would. But she wasn't going to leave until the sun set or she has found her familiar.

You'll know what your familiar is when it shows up, don't worry Leth. There she was, boosting her own morale without thinking bad on it. That is a good start to the bad things that she had been starting to think. But, the only question remained, when was she going to run into the tamable creature? She hoped it was soon.

She soon stopped walking. There was a marker ahead of her that wasn't the color for a monster. This was a good sign right? She slowly started to walk toward the marker, only for it to move. So she moved with it. She followed this marker until they both reached a clearing in the forest and she smiled. She knew exactly what she had found, and she knew that it was for her. She stared at this black and red cobra like snake and her smile turned to a grin.

"Hey there friend. So, I'm not going to get close, but I mainly just want to see if you're going to leave or not." She didn't attempt anything for taming. She was just going to see if it was going to stay put and let her get near it soon. While she waited to see what it was that the snake was going to do, she reached into her pocket and grabbed a piece of the familiar food.

Alright, the snake hadn't moved! That was a great sign for her and she was going to use it to her advantage right now. So, with the food in her right hand, she extended the hand to the snake, keeping an eye on it's head in case it tried to strike. When it didn't, she stood still and watched as the snake eyed her, then the food, then her again. It took it's sweet ass time trying to decide if she was trustworthy, but then, she didn't blame it.

Soon, the snake slithered forward and took the food from her and she picked the snake up in return. Draping the snake over her shoulders, she started to walk to her marker. "I'm going to call you Noxyl." No sound came from the snake and she smirked, "Good, we are in agreement then." With that settled, she started to walk with her new familiar resting over her shoulders.

With Noxyl firmly stuck to her shoulders now, she walked out of the forest that they had found each other in. Good, this trip was almost over now, and she could get some sleep before training the familiar in the morning. But for now, avoiding that one boar and making her way to town, that was the new found goal, and it made her happy. She didn't want to have to get stuck fighting anything right now. Noxyl wasn't trained, and she wasn't going to risk it.

So, with her friend on her, they walked past the spot where she had the fight with that boar. "We will come back here one day and kill that boar like it tried to do to me today." The snake's eyes darted over to the spot before looking at back Lethia and it just stayed silent, resting on Leth's shoulders, seeming to be content.

The town was starting to get closer, which was nice. She knew that to finish this quest, she still needed to find that gypsy and give her back the familiar food that Lethia hadn't used. That shouldn't be too hard, hopefully. Now that she thought on it, it had taken forever to find that gypsy in the first place. The lady had been invisible or something. But, hopefully she would be able to just find the cranky old bat right away.

Ha, that would be wishful thinking, best not jinx yourself there Leth. You just got your familiar, do you want to get lost trying to finish this quest today? It can and will happen if you aren't careful. The pace that she was taking was a steady one, one that seemed to rock Noxyl to sleep on her shoulders. That was an envious thing, sleep. That was the only thing that Lethia didn't seem to get.

She walked through the gates of town, and instantly felt safe. That was an odd feeling really. Why did she feel safe in the town but not on her own? It really couldn't just be because this was a safe zone, because if that was the case, things were just wrong on that front. It shouldn't take someone walking into a town to feel safe. They should feel how Leth does while out in the wilds. Forever free and safe.

She didn't fear a lot, and today was the only time she got close to fearing for her life. But she got away. She is alive and she even has her familiar now. Why shouldn't she feel safe knowing that? Knowing that she was able to get away and live another day. Another day to plan the plans that she has brewing in her mind. Another day to just scheme and play with someone's heart.
