--She had to stop toying around eventually. This quest seemed to be the perfect fit.

Given the occasion to stealth past her enemies, NIGHT would've taken that choice just for the thrill of immersing herself in the shadows. However, with a party of less than subtle folk, she greatly preferred the option of smiting her way into this 'secret location' Fleur had talked about. Even if they had been trying to stay quiet, one brilliant exchange between the couple and NIGHT might've given away their location due to a chuckle she couldn't hold in. Better to stay dangerous than be ambushed and sorry.

It wasn't so much of a rumored destination more so it was good experience. A few bats they had to get past, nothing more. She watched her company prepare for the journey ahead, pulling out all manners of consumables for application -- there was something satisfying about being loaded with so many buffs, and yet she couldn't help but wonder if this was too much of an indulgence for once.

Yuki didn't care so much what the quest entailed as long as she gained a good amount of experience in the end. It was worth noting that she had spent the last three days grinding and questing and it had net her a total of 40 sp already. The meeting at Baldur's estate had sent her into maximum over-level mode and she was only just continuing to maul through each and ever quest that came her way.

It was thanks to Night and Crozeph coming along with her. She wouldn't be able to deal with a lot of these quests alone in such a timely manner. Night's insane damage along with her and Crow's ability to supplement it when needed was so insanely powerful that they felt entirely invincible to everyone around them.

Lost in thought, Yuki shook her head and returned to reality. "You guys ready to head out then?"

A three-man team, that's what they're turning out to be. Yuki was their shield, Night is the nuker, and he is... well Crozeph. So far there's no situation that would require his healing skills. He just adds more damage or finishing off stragglers. There was also no need for debuffs, it was just a normal day for a normal quest, such days are rare for him. While his time for naps is almost slipping away from his grasps, it was replaced by sound sleep with Yuki beside him. There was also that gift he wants to give her and found just the right quest for it. So many thoughts so little info to use, if it was about battles and strategies he would call Baldur for it but this was about him helping or trying to support his girlfriend.

"Do we need to buff ourselves up for this?" he asked Night. The woman was always the first to arrive, or the one organizing things for the quest, Yuki was the one preparing food for relaxation while he... well he is being Crozeph.

"It'd be better if you were, but it's not completely necessary. Out of everything we've faced so far, these are easily the strongest out the pack." NIGHT stretched out her arms behind her back before gesturing down a path, away from the Nature's Treasure tunnels and into the outskirts of the floor. She hadn't seen much of the wilderness in this particular environment, so it was much to her delight that while the area was coated in darkened purples and blues, tiny luminescent mushrooms of multiple colours still managed to brighten their paths.

Her shuffled footsteps kicked up tiny pebbles and dust, whilst the woman's sights were focused on locating a hidden enclave from their vantage point. When she figured she'd finally found it, NIGHT led them to its doorstep, before briefing her two companions of the troubles ahead.

"Six bats, we'll take them out in a group of four, then two. Sound good?"

She didn't even hesitate to listen in to their agreements. When she'd turned to enter the cavern, her form had already been digitized out of the system.

Yuki didn't care if 10 of them attacked her at a time. Four at once was hardly fair for the bats, but this wasn't a game about fairness. While the game had pitted their hopes and dreams against fate and time, she had turned the tables on becoming something so indomitable that it would be impossible for the system to find fairness in killing her.

"Sure, whatever floats your boat." Yuki shrugs as they two continue to walk where the bats were going to spawn. She didn't really need to, but just in case, she activated her parry skill again. Removing the sword from it's sheath while gaining energy in the form of light and storing it to protect her from harm. "Crow, you play it safely and try not to draw attention to yourself too much okay? I'll make sure things don't attack you without getting through me first, but I'd hate to see you hurt."

He nodded as Yuki told him not to get all their attention "let's just hope my AoE won't be that painful to them" he said as he slowly unsheathes his katana. The bats began to move and Crozeph had to prepare his AoE. He sucks at it but he could only hope to deal decent damage, the bats move and his katana tried to reach them, making spinning moves as they approached. The attack landed on two of them but the others learned to distance themselves from it. 

Crozeph expected for it to happen, he knew that these flying bastards are not easy to hit. He moved back trying to defend himself if they try to attack while returning to Yuki's position. "Thick HP" he uttered, looks like it'll take a while for him. He tried to assess the situation "maybe I should switch to single target attacks but I wonder if the two will approve of it" he said to himself. Sooner or later one will tell him to and he wanted to confirm if they are on the same boat about it.

When she finally pulled herself out of the ether, she realized just how tough these bats were in retrospect. Collapsing from thin air and positioned herself from their backs, she'd given each target a slice drawn across their waists, the venom in her sword taking hold and sealing the wounds shut with black, sticky slime. Sparks were thrown up the moment her hits had connected -- one of the poisons conducted a hint of electricity, and her strikes had successfully sent their foes into a shrieking shocked mess. NIGHT pulled herself over towards Crow's position in a jiffy, letting Yuki finally take the reigns on the front lines.

"Focus on one," she instructed her party, "especially the weakest of the pack. I can chain my banes off of their defeat if I manage to bring it down." The player pulled her blade to defend her front -- at best it would block an on-coming attack if her paladin hadn't managed to pull aggro, and at worst she wouldn't be stinging herself with her own poisons.

"Crow, use a direct shot for your next attack and weaken one of them so that Night can benefit from her abilities." The paladin's sword lit with divine elegance as she approached the group of bats. They laid on the ground helplessly stuck in their paralysis writhing to break free of the snares that had undertook them. A sword art hummed against the powerfully bright metal of her blade. Slashing at the group all at once.

The game decided that paralyzed or not, these things would elude her. How the hell did she miss three of them at once while they were unmoving on the ground? She growled in frustration as she readied for the group to get up and fight back. The annoyance was nothing but RNG and she would have it's head one day. 

"Stupid freaking luck of the draw making me miss somehow... This game really makes no sense sometimes."

It was sort of expected, the shift on strategies. With the bat's high HP, their hovering antics, and a good amount of defense, Crozeph stood no chance if he uses an AoE. "Single target, we can get this done with Night's weapon," he thought. Crozeph then began moving, this time it wasn't to position himself where he can hit them all. The tip of his katana began dripping water and with that, Crozeph knew what to do.

Planting a foot forward Crozeph lowered his katana and while the bats seemed to be complacent with his presence, Crozeph made an upward swing causing the water that is coming out of his katana to follow the blade and in a second the water froze dealing damage to the bat above it. He used the ice as a stepping stone and added more attacks to the bat, looks like it won't be moving soon.

Did you know that bats have an incredibly intriguing immunity system? Their bodies are loaded with different bacterias and viruses, and yet due to their limitation of inflammation, they rarely are able to get sick.

With a choir of screams, their opponents fell to the floor. It was of great surprise to NIGHT when she had the moment to examine their statuses that their corruptive inflictions hadn't managed to tick downwards, the sickness prolonged. For all the rep they got about their defensive nature, these creatures weren't able to get past the demonic nature of her great sword's corrosive power.

To that, NIGHT's lips spread into a grin.

"Crow," she called to the support once her movement had been regained, "take out the one that has higher immunity." Her blade's tip was lifted to gesture over to the fallen bat, it seemingly much more sturdier than its other weakened brethren.

With the bats stunned and completely unable to move, Yuki raised her blade once more. Night was making it easy to hit them but she failed her by missing an attack completely with an advantage no less.

Her holy looking blade slashed through all the targets accept just a single one. If only her tanking could be a little more consistent without needing to purchase howl. She hated the idea of buying the skill, as it made her job as a tank even more boring when she couldn't just attack enemies, even if it was for measly damage in the first place. Shield might enjoy the stand and scream method of tanking, but it wasn't for everyone. She wanted to be in the thick of the fight

Soon they would rise this time, that is, unless Night puts them all on the ground again somehow. She took a defensive stance and readied herself.

"I'm guessing that bat" he uttered and began to move back to it again. Crozeph wasn't planning to give it a breather. One less bat to worry about for them but he didn't know if he can finish it at this blow. The bat tried to fly up higher but Crozeph did his best to reach it as fast as he can. His attacks connected and he saw its HP drop with each slash it received.

The bat however still lived and manage to fly again but compared to the other bats, this one is not in a good condition to escape and Night won't be letting it escape. He lowered his blade to avoid hitting Yuki and making her thorns slap back at him. "This is the most resilient mobs we've fought or maybe there's just too many of them that's why we're having a hard time finishing this as quick as we can," he told Yuki.

That wasn't the bat that NIGHT was gesturing to-- ah, never mind. In a few seconds after Crow had struck it, she'd managed to cull it and it's buddy from the battlefield entirely whilst the two other combatants found themselves struggling to rise on the field. Even with Yuki's parry, NIGHT had been worried about the bats' and their claws; having been informed that they were phase-ready, she might've taken more of a battering than usual. When one in their dying throes had finally gathered the vitality to take a swing at their tank, the player held her breath, hoping for the best. Thankfully, it seemed that it would only be a scratch against Yuki's health, and nothing more.

Also it totally crashed one of many spikes on her armor, and then promptly fell over and shattered into pieces.

NIGHT winked out of existence the moment she noticed Vanish's alert show up on her interface. Two other like-minded bats were soon to appear with the number of players in their party, and she had to be ready to assail them as soon as possible.

New enemies enter the fray just as the other two explode. Great more phasing damage. Yuki was actually impressed with how her body had moved to negate that damage. She nearly sliced the hand off that bat when it had reached in to claw her.

Almost as soon as it decided to make contact with her, it dropped dead from her prickling thorns. Yuki grinned in satisfaction. Even when enemies phased her, she still found a way to keep her HP above 90%. Tier three was such a welcoming place for fresh levels 50s, discovering just how strong you can truly be.

No time to rest, however. New targets on the battle field meant that she had to get in and take the hate before they attacked one of her allies. Her holy blade lit a bring pink glow and ravished everything in her line of sight. Bleed was now active.

New bats, as if the first group wasn't enough. Crozeph had to do his job and weaken whatever he can hit so Night can melt them with her weapon. Aiming his katana at the fifth bat, he tried to swing his katana multiple times at the bat who kept on flying away or upward where Crozeph couldn't reach it. A very annoying move but if it doesn't involve Yuki getting a crit or receiving a debuff then he has no reason to lose his cool.

"One day I'll cut one of you down and you're gonna have to pray at batman for salvation" he muttered. It's been a while since he missed an attack and the feeling was very different, having his momentum go further away and making him lose balance a little. Now it's up for Night to do her thing, melt their faces with her sword.

As the last few entrants piled into the room, NIGHT channeled her energy back into her sword. The player, in her absence, would still manage to catch the glow of their sword ripping through space time with each cut she'd delivered upon the enemies, the blinding white immediately being replaced by the malefic darkness that bled through her sword, dipping into the wounds she'd created again on her foes. They'd stopped, shuddered, let out a shrill as the gashes were marked over with the vitriolic substance, before the markings faded away, leaving nothing but a tainted spot upon each of the bat's backs.

"Get the stronger ones," she remarked, a cursory glance given to Crow. It wasn't wholly necessary, but the faltering target from the last pack was dizzied off to the side, and if NIGHT would be allowed to play its grim reaper, she could pop into the ethereal realm once again, just in case she'd needed its benefits..

Yuki's damage dealing capabilities were less than sub-par, so she would do her best to just keep her guard up for the next attack. She almost didn't realize it when she got attacked earlier, but that bat had phased through her armor. She negated the damage pretty much entirely, so it was hardly like it threatened her.

This was the perfect time to reinstate her Parry status too, as the bats dropped to the ground from paralysis, unable to do anything to fight back. The hate was still focused on her since Night hadn't landed a critical attack so this was the perfect time to keep her guard active. By the time they hit next, her parry will have refreshed, if they somehow even make it that far into battle with these two destroying them.

She towered of the remaining bats with her blade pointed at them, ready for the moment that they might break free from the paralysis.

"None are moving," he thought. Crozeph made haste and set his eyes in the weakened bat. This should make Night's AoE kill it and have less enemies to deal with, especially when they have phase in their attacks. The bat could only watch as Crozeph landed a vertical chop from midday straight to its face. The creature screeched as Crozeph's katana was buried between its eyes but still, it wasn't enough to kill it.

Crozeph landed a few more attacks and with every red gash appearing, the enemy screeched at him. He took a step back and scratched his ear "relax, I'm just trying to kill you" he told the bat. One more hit and it's dead, one less bat to deal with unless there are still more. He slowly moved back near Yuki, making sure that he can move in and attack after her.

With a wave of disappointment (and light) NIGHT struck down the bat at death's door before it could be culled by her inflictions alone. There was a wry look on her face as she jittered into the shadow realm; the last action her party would see her take was her pinching the bridge of her nose in sadness. It didn't matter in the long run, in retrospect; the bats were going to die, that much needn't be mentioned.

It just cut NIGHT the wrong way when their executions weren't exactly... efficient.

She'd pull her hand away from her face long enough to notice one of the cave bats striking Yuki for a critical, and in the retaliation afterwards, cancel off its paralysis due to the nature of her skill. An unprecedented effect of parrying, but welcome. NIGHT would take all the help they could get.

Yuki frowned a bit as Crozeph seemingly wasted an attack on an enemy that was already going to die. As the got up and rushed at the paladin, she readied her blade, knocking the blow out of the way of any vital spots that could phase through her armor. She didn't have a heart or anything like that, so it wasn't like she'd die instantly, but the effect of the skill was still enough to keep her safe.

Once they had a moment to breath, Yuki looked over to her better half. "Crow, you need to listen to what Night is saying. You attacked a target that was going to die from the damage over time effects so you're wasting energy." A pink light formed around her sword yet again, signifying her coming attacks.

She slashed through the air, missing her targets just slightly. Their evasion was annoying her already.
