Simmone remarks with her faced a bit scrunched, taking to swapping her bartering attire for her battle equipment before following in tow with Freyd in attempts to follow in Shiina's wake. **** Kasumi's arrival was right on queue to which she would look to Freyd with an usher of her eyes toward Shiina, fainting that now was the time to watch the girl. But to her surprise it was less chaotic as expected as her weapon flared in its sheath as if being charged for a weapon art. Drawing it with her left, it was washed with the girls energy. "What in the hell?" Simmone remarks having not paid the girl too much attention as of late. With a snap of her fingers as they highlight in gold "I've got you dear, keep on going." the golden helix vanishing into her back and with it a sudden jump in her stamina reserves. Theground beneath them started to hum then actively vibrate before the shard-like motes of the expired bee had even hit the ground. The Queen was coming, and with little time to prepare. "Spread yourselves out! I have a little surprise in mind for them when they clear the hive mouth, but we'll need to act quickly to mop things up afterwards." He spared each of his companions a quick and reassuring glance. Kasumi would hear his words without him needing to break her cover. Damned it he didn't picture Raidou and his flashy glasses doing the exact same thing with their lens flares. Offer hope. Silent in her agreement with Freyd, she'd wait for that opportune moment to strike, the very one as prior as he brandished his weapon. A single solitary instant was all she would need to act upon his command, watching from the sidelines as she continued to abuse the cover with her hands doing her no favors offering a difficulty to remain obscured. Although the newly bestowed power was nice. As it turned out it was also difficult to hide with lanterns for fists. Waiting for that mark while the earth took to a steady rumble, the queen was more than waiting in the sidelines to join the fray. In a flashy arc of energy the bee is clipped in twain, Shiina rushing forward and kneeling down on all fours as the song falls to silence. "BOOM!" she yelps as the bee flickers way into nothing. The ground begins to shake beneath her hands and knees, she peers toward its origin and mutters "Woof." Clambering to her feet, attempting to get the music back online. The color beneath her in red and with it a slight tinge of between each wave. The music seems amplified and drawing upon something, pushing those within the group beyond their current inabilities. Through her mind the only thing she can think of, is how much fun it would be to mount house bee and ride it into town. Potion guy would have another thing comin' but eyeball sledding sounded like a ragin' good time. She had options and was unconvinced on which one would be more fun. A wise trick as to not point the girl out but still offer her the respite she would need. His moves were graceful and precise instead of sweeping blows. Direct jabs to the insects' transparent wings denied them their advantage of flight and sent each of them hurtling into the ground, where they lay vulnerable. "They'll recover quickly. Strike them now, while we have the advantage!" Kasumi had proven true to her reputation. The young woman would be devastating once her arts matured. Heh. Matured. Freyd performed a mental facepalm. It was a wonder that the horndogs among the general player populace weren't knocking down her door. Knockers. Groan. It never ended, did it? Simmone and Shiina had both also cooperated surprisingly well. Freyd appreciated that he didn't know the support side of combat as well as she should, and made a mental note to work on that. Even with only two direct fighters, they were effectively devastating the wasps. He'd have to make sure he found something suitable as a compound eyeball sled for Shiina when this was all over. One solid flying dragon punches the largest target rather abruptly but it doesn't seem to have the juice left to penetrate as much as she had hoped. The moment had struck and with it a mischievous grin. The Queen was eyeing Kasumi and Freyd but not little Shiina, no not at all. She was aware, and she was ready. The buzzing grew louder and began to whip her hair back and forth, it took quite the wind pressure to keep this thing aloft. And then it happened.... Leaping up onto its thorax and latching on tight turns out that armor was a bit heavier than what its wings could support. A sputter and what almost sounded like a car backfiring as the thing is pancaked under the songstress. "Lame!" Shiina barks out mounting the thing, tapping the edges of her heels against its abdomen. "HI HO TONTO AWAY!" She barked pointing to the stars, but the boss simply could not meet her demand. Get away from there." but it was too late, as the boss is removed from flight with a willy little girl strapped to its ass. "Get off of that creature this instant." Simmone barked toward her like a kid about to come to drastic self harm. Looking to Kasumi with an appalled face that meant 'we have failed to keep our eyes peeled on her at all times' "Kasumi, Freyd please kill that thing before she gets herself murdered." she asks with a shake of her head, snapping her fingers and recovering Kasumi's stamina being the lowest. She knew her damage wouldn't cut it against something that large and fat. Freyd darted forward, snatching Shiina from the creature's back just as it twisted its head around to bite at the girl with its nasty, clenching mandibles. "Nice move, Sparky. Thanks for knocking her down for us!" He raced back towards the giant insectoid matriarch, slashing her multiple times across her exposed abdomen as she tried to pick herself back off the ground. A spear-like stinger sprang from beneath the thing's bulbous body and driving straight for his heart. Freyd dodged and deflected the strike with his blade, rolling a short distance away and back onto his feet. The queen only had eyes for him, at the moment, giving Kasumi a perfect shot at her exposed flank. A blurry burst of flurrying pink suggested that she had registered the same opportunity and taken advantage. Good. It was important that they be effective as a team. Spoiler Freyd activates Charge. Scattering in behind Freyd the blow connects but what she connects with seems to disconnect and burst. She had done it right? This was over, but the main mass still seemed rather solid. Leaping back she looked to Freyd and the others confused. That attack surely connected, it was exposed. Tiny wings however made it instantly clear what had transpired, she struck another spawn from the mother as soon as it was pooped out. "I punched a baby!" Kasumi squealed feeling sick to her stomach, feeling as though she was going to barf. It was hard enough killing the adult ones, but a baby one. What were the chances of that? Taking one deep breath and attempting to keep down her breakfast, she looked with a visual apology riddled on her brow before jumping out of view. That chance was gone, the weak point broke away. We still going to go sledding with its eyeball?" She remarks staring up to the blue sky, before continuing the vocal turbulence that was her music. The other players would gain her benefits as she rocked as a turtle stuck on its back, the armor was way too heavy for her to stand easily. It was here sitting like a log where she was just as useful, the girl had her uses but at least on her back trapped in her own platemail she was a bit easier to manage. This was turning into a ripe fiasco by the moment, Freyd being the only reliable one among them. With an exaggerated sigh, she'd look to the queen which mirrored Shiina and her prone state. Placing her face in her hand she seemed defeated on what to do here, placing her faith in Freyd "Would you kindly finish this mess before it gets any worse." It was painfully clear that these children still needed much more work. They had some experience but were still managing to screw up when it mattered most, she was starting to get what the boy in red was preaching. Which beckoned harshly on his own perceptions of her in particular. He had not discussed what issues she may own, and this brought about the curiosity in what he saw. His left foot shot forward nearly causing him to do the splits. Flailing awkwardly, he reduced his grip to one hand and thrust the other forward to stop his fall. The saviour hand met a hard metallic surface that giggled as he pressed upon it, then started to roll away from him - just like a magic carpet. Freyd's eyes widened at the realizing of the impending consequences and stabbed forward with hit only remaining hand: the one still wielding Grave Injustice. How aptly named. The black blade struck something solid with a 'clink', which turned into the kind of noise an egg makes when its cracking. Freyd's moment of salvation failed as the blade pierced the Queen's chitinous thorax and sank in slowly. His eyes resumed their panicked widening. Then, just like that, the Queen burst into a cloud of shard and Freyd's face crashed straight into the ground. "Ow." She was kneeled over with her hands placed over her knees, her hair poured over her face as she stared at the tan road beneath her. Deep breaths, Kasumi she thought in cadence attempting to stave off the sickness that caused her stomach to churn. Weakly she looks toward the fight to see Simmone riddled with disappointment and catching but a glimpse of Freyd belly flopping the beast. A bit of confidence to see that she wasn't the only one riddled with problems in this exchange, a faint smile joining her lips. A bubble in her throat came, and with it she'd be hungry as the contents were trickled out despite her every effort to avoid it. The heaving starts after with shocks to her system, it was clear that these conflicts were still a bit difficult when it came to younglings. Link to post Share on other sites

The pressure causes her to chuckle and it was from spoopy dude, who da thunk it? Doing a sissy push up after the queen exploded like a firework, she grunts and manages to pick herself up. "oof, you still got all your teeth?" Shiina asked as if she was concerned, before her attention shifts rather rapidly from the downed captain to the house bee. There was in fact, one intact eye. Hopping in to the device and rocking back and forth within its confines, it rolls around without an honest direction. "Sled acquired, we have success! Good goin' chief!" Shiina barks losing her mind within the newly obtained object for presumably honest fun. Presumably being the operative word here, given the girl it was not confirmed. It was odd that a captain of all people would make such a blunder. A bit convinced that perhaps it had something to do with Shiina's presence as this sort of thing seemed more common when she was around. Moving up to rub Kasumi's back and help her settle herself "There there, dear let it out." The black lotus offered in comfort. This had been quite the little show of just how sideways a fight could go, between them all it was very obvious that there was some oddity at play here. Just what skill did the songstress have that made all conflicts end in this way was very interesting. Looking to Shiina and Freyd while nursing the girl in orange hair she'd ask "Is this it then? all are the requirements fulfilled. I think its time to settle down a bit after all this fighting" she used the term with what sounded like sarcasm. Link to post Share on other sites

In his other hand, he held the matriarch's stinger. A quick dialogue box revealed the item's properties. Walking over to Kasumi, he pressed gently on her shoulder, implying that she needed to stand. "This won't do," he said firmly, shaking his head. "You can't be falling apart like this over a bug, Kasumi." He knew it was harsh, but also necessary. It seemed to be his lot to play the hard-ass in the guild, but so be it. "Thank you all for your assistance. This was.. enlightening. Enjoy your sleigh, Shiina." He offered Simmone a brief and dour nod, then promptly turned his stern gaze back to the younger girl. "We have more work to do, you and I, and it will require this." Placing the stinger in her hand, Freyd stuffed his hands in his pockets and started to walk away. For all her strength and prowess, this weakness in his agent had to be expunged, lest it become a liability. He sighed internally at the thought that he might have to shatter another innocent soul in order to achieve it. Link to post Share on other sites

Despite her best efforts the girl still had more to learn, enough that Freyd's command felt sharp to cut through bone. Muttering weakly between breaths as her hair stuck to her face "I know..." with a stinger placed into her hand. Pulling her fist tight around it, it was a symbol of what could have been should they not have succeeded due to her folly. "I won't give up, captain." she looked deeply into the object as it was spoken. The first step was understanding there was an issue, and this small little item confirmed it. A blade that could have easily hurt anyone of them, she had failed... Pulling the ribbon from her pocket and tightly winding it around her palm as a reminder of her decree. "Thanks Big Kahuna!" Shiina flailed about like a rodeo star with one hand still latched to the rim. She'd have a new song to write now, one about the bee house and the big rib. She wondered which tone would fit it? Something chipper or a bit more drawn in lower tempo. Sliding down the inner walls of the iris, she looked like a metallic scoop of ice cream in a bowl. The sky was so blue, the day so young and still so eventful. She held up the discount voucher she swiped with a grin, wondering how many things she could buy with its inclusion. The sled shifts with her weight turning into a eyeball beanbag chair, to which she looks to Kasumi lookin' all serious with a pointy stick. "Neat." she remarks staring intently at the toy she got as well.
