ONE HELL OF A DUEL!!" she exclaimed excitedly as she plopped down on the bleachers beside a player named <>, a girl she had met a while ago! The clumsy one who fell into the fountain on the day of their sleepover! Haine then patiently stared out into the ring with sparkly eyes, eager to see the battle begin. He smiled and cracked his neck, preparing himself for the fight ahead of him. He had to prove himself to her, and everyone watching. He had to earn the title. As he made it to his side of the ring, he did a slight bow. Then he stood straight and drew his sword and shield. "Ready when you are." He said to Ruri. She pulled shark out of her inventory, wielding her trusty One Handed Curved Blade. She took her sword in front of her, lunging forward, and at the last moment jumping. Unfortunately she had hit the ground in front of him, sighing as she did so, she then pulled her sword out of the ground, returning to her side of the arena. "Your turn..." She had said at last. As the blade flashed blue, he swung the blade. Unfortunately for him, Ruri was faster than him and she managed to dodge both strikes. He realized that she could counter attack him and he raised his shield while also trying to get some distance between him and his opponent. Not a good start, He thought to himself. She then lunged forward not caring if there was a shield in front of her enemy as she jumped upward at the last moment. It may have been a game but he didn't care, it still hurt. He stood up and turned to face her, a fire in his eyes. He brought the sword back behind him, wondering what to do next. Then he went back to basics. He had to land a hit first before getting crazy. He ran after her and swung his sword. Unfortunately, it just wasn't his day. He charged his <> Sword Skill, the energy humming in his sword. Then, why Ruri came close enough, his eyes shot open and he rushed forward, swinging the blade as he did so. As the blade flashed red, Angel swung three times. And he missed three times. Either she was to fast or he was disoriented, or maybe the digital Gods were just laughing at him. She had ran forward, fairly fast, her blade in front of her as she did so. This time she had hit, a 1 point had came out of him, a small crevice in his ribs as she had struck there. He nearly dropped his sword in the pain but he quickly recovered, gritting his teeth as he did so. He glared over at Ruri. Then he charged at her, bringing his blade around in a wide arch. The blade rushed through the air, and finally managed to make contact with Ruri. He plunged the large sword through her shoulder. He took a deep breath and smiled. "I can understand why you're the leader of the Guild. But I'm not giving up just yet." He said, then he lunged forward, swiping the blade at her again. He prayed to the Digital Gods that he would get a hit this time. Due to his sword's ability, the sword managed another hit. He swiped across her stomach and left a red gash. Angel looked over the scene and then started running straight forward. He picked up more speed, almost like a train. He pointed the sword straight ahead of him, aiming for her stomach. His luck seemed to be retreating as she jumped to the side at the last second. He couldn't stop in time and rammed his sword into the wall. He bounced off the <> and landed on his back. If he could get a solid hit hit or two, then he'd get that goal. He wasn't aiming for anything particular, he just wanted a hit. He hadn't realized that he hit her until he heard her stifle a scream. When he looked, he saw that he had hit her in the face, a long gash going along her cheek and going down her neck.
