Natalia 0 Posted September 10, 2014 #41 Report Share Posted September 10, 2014 Though she wasn't the first to make an attempt at attacking the Flame Knight, Setsuko took a moment to observe the powerful creature's movements as Fives and Oske struck at it. Hmph, as formidable as it appears. She noted as Oske's blade barely missed the flame-eyed creatures, though she wasn't sure whether that was more of a failure on the woman's fault, or a well-done for the armored being. My turn. As her left-foot moved forward, her back lowered, almost parallel to the ground. From that position, her right-foot moved forward with incredible speed as she sprinted towards the creature, her arm extended with the tip of her rapier pointed towards the ground. Breath left her lungs as she exhaled, doing her best to keep her cool despite her growing anxiety. Take this! When she came close enough to the creature, she stopped her feet, sliding on her left foot and ending up behind it. From that position, a series of seven swift and precise thrusts from her rapier landed on it. Before it could retaliate while she was behind it, she leapt back as soon as sword skill ended, putting a bit of distance between her and the creature. I'm off to a good start. She thought, remaining quiet in the midst of battle. The eyes of the helmet were glowing with a flickering orange. As blades clashed into the armor, dropping it's health bar, it still remained to stay in tact. The flame knight smashed it's sword on the ground sending sparks into the air. The armor moved slowly towards the players at first with two small steps. Suddenly, out of nowhere, the suit of armor sprinted at a high speed at the last player that attacked it. The armor then held the sword it wielded behind it, preparing to put full force into it's swing. Unfortunately, the player had seen the attack far too well and dodged it with no problem. The armor now stood before all of the players waiting for all of their attacks. He would then watch as Setsuko Dealt a devastating combo on The Flame knight's back 5 would then look back at Daeron With confusion on his face as he is wondering why he didn't go in for an attack as he's staring at Daeron 5 hears a loud crash turning around. He sees the flame Knights sword against the ground with dust and sparks everywhere as 5 tries to focus and tries to see if the Flame knight hit somebody. Seeing Setsuko dodge the blow.5 Would be relieved that nobody's been hit so far 5 would charge up his sword as it begins glowing bright orange Then sprinting towards the flame Knight like missile, his sword would come in for a Stab as it made contact 5. Would say under his breath. "Demolition Stab" As his voice could only be described as furious. The hit would look like it hit once, but the flame night would get hit 6 times as the sword hits him in the same spot, Like a jackhammer Making the Flame Knight stumble backwards. She didn't want to appear weak. Taking another deep, shaky breath, she flung herself forward. She lifted her sword up, getting ready for a combo. "Crescent Cross," she shouted. She then slashed twice--one vertical and one horizontal. She then flipped backwards, landing on her two feet thanks to her acrobatics skill. She glanced back at Daeron and her teammates nervously. They have stronger weapons than me. Natalia 0 Posted September 11, 2014 #45 Report Share Posted September 11, 2014 [OOC ~ I've never actually used it before, but I rolled a 10, so Frostbite should paralyze this kid. c:] Once again, Five and Oske continued their attacks as Setsuko watched while strafing around the enemy. Compared to her and Five, Oske was slowly chipping away at the Flame Knight's help. Five, on the other hand, was rivaling Setsuko herself in terms of sheer damage output. Not going to have that for very long now, Five. Somehow, with her heart and mind racing, she managed to curve her lips into a smirk as she slid to a stop in the middle of her strafe and immediately took off running towards the enormous warrior; determination in her eyes. Remaining mostly quiet, she let out a nearly silent grunt as the Flame Knight's blade, which had been slashed diagonally through the air, collided with her's. Setsuko wasn't sure herself how she managed to block such a hit, but using the opportunity, she shifted her positioning and pulled her blade away. The Flame Knight's blade continued its previously stopped attack, striking the ground. Perfect. Setsuko thought as she found herself once again circling to the back of the creature. "Star Splash!" That was the first thing Setsuko had said since the battle had begun. Just as she had begun her combo, the Flame Knight turned itself around, only to find itself being hit once again by a flurry of blows to the chest. Setsuko, with the aid of Sword Art Online's combat system, was able to move so swiftly that the monstrous creature couldn't even react to her first five strikes. To finish the combo, the system, controlling Setsuko, took the sharper edge of her rapier, slashed it across the Flame Knight's chest twice, and finally thrust the blade into to the center of the two perpendicular lines. Unlike the first two attacks, this series of attacks had activated Frostbite's passive; upon a critical hit, the enemy would be frozen (paralyzed, but with a different design) for a turn. I hope it works on field bosses. Setsuko thought as she stepped back a few steps. When finally, Setsuko, as the player name above it said, had managed to paralyze the Flame Knight, it looked like it wasn't even paralyzed. In fact, it didn't bother moving to try to break free from the Paralysis. Instead, the Knight stood there looking at the player who had paralyze it at the moment with ember eyes. 5iou5 0 Posted September 12, 2014 #47 Report Share Posted September 12, 2014 After watching Setsuko Deal a devastating blow to the Flame Knights 5 Notices the Flame Knight Not even attempt to attack back in retaliation 5 would begin to circle around the Flame Knight Slowly Looking it over looking for a opening Without warning 5 sprint towards the Flame Knights back as he got within range. he would swing his sword 4 different times at incredible speed as the slashes formed A 6 sided star 5 would then jump back getting out of the range of the Flame Knight As 5 is trying to gain some distance. He begin to try to figure out what's going on Last person that hit was Setsuko her hit was a little strange. If I'm to join this guild, I must make myself a better weapon. She then dashed forward, swerving in a circle and flipping forward toward the knight. However, what she didn't realize was that... she overshot. As she flipped, she found herself flying right oever the top of the Flame Knight's head. Crap!! She gasped and somersaulted once she landed, sitting up and blushing. She growled and backed up, waiting for her teammates to have a chance before she tried again. You don't really seem to be cut out for this. That wasn't for Setsuko to decide, however, and she wouldn't base her opinion on the woman based solely on her combat abilities; some were simply better than others at certain tasks, and maybe combat just wasn't Oske's skill. No matter. Five and I are working extremely well together. She glanced to her left for a moment to check the health bars of everyone in the party. Not a single point of damage had been dealt to any of them. With an almost arrogant smile, Setsuko ran at the Flame Knight once again. Instead of immediately circling towards its back, this time Setusko had a different thought in mind. Time for a bit of pizazz. With both feet, she kicked off the ground and hurled herself over the Flame Knight. Within the air, Setsuko found her target and thrust her rapier towards the skull while rising, and poked it multiple times in the back as she fell, landing on her feet. This Acrobatics skill is insane. She thought with a smirk, having taken another chunk of health from her target. It was only a matter of time until the field boss would strike at someone. Just at that moment, the Flame Knight walked over towards Setsuko who was the player that had paralyzed her earlier and swung its ember blade at the player. Unfortunately to the Flame Knight, Setsuko had seen them move ahead of time and dodged the attack, leaving the Flame Knight open for another series of strikes upon its metallic armor. She used the Flame Knight’s foot as a support as she launched herself into the air, spinning sideways toward its face. With three clean slashes, she kicked her feet off of its armor’s head and flipped back into position. She panted, realizing she had landed a critical. She smiled at her teammates. As if fate was playing against her, however, as she ran towards it, she lost balance and tumbled to the ground, much like Dylan had earlier in the day. Damn it! She began to push herself up, but was completely and totally vulnerable for the time being. He had seen what they could do and that they were obviously dealing enough damage to take it out. Taking a few turns to finish off the Flame Knight, Daeron then called the fight an end. "I'm proud of all of you. It's a shame that 5, has left out world, but we will move on without him, such is life. I would like to congratulate the remaining two of you, for making it into the ranks of Firm Anima. I look forward to seeing you on the next raids in the future."
