Zajcica 0 Posted December 30, 2024 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2024 (edited) The paladin sighed as she stood as still as possible. Never in her life had she put on a formal kimono from start to finish and it was worse than any enemy in Sword Art Online that she’d ever struggled with. The mountain she climbed that was famously the largest mountain in Aincrad? Easy. Seven layers of fabric over another layer of fabric? Not. Just then, the tightness increased. “いったたたたたた!まあもう、ちょっと!余りに窮屈な!“ The girl cursed in her mother language as she continued to be dressed by her best friend. She loved the gender affirmation of wearing one when she could just equip it like armor but today was different. It was a lack of respect for her to not go through the process. Around now, she was wondering how difficult it was for Baldur getting Crozeph dressed. If her memory of traditional weddings was accruate, which it probably wasn’t, Cro was probably getting pretty easy treatment. “I’m sorry for cursing, Night. I just did not expect the process to be like this. The things I have to do just to feel feminine…” Life was slowly coming back to her difficulty but she would quickly shake that off. This was not the day to think about it. ”But this is going to be the best day of my life!” Zajcica | HP: 880/880 | EN: 100/100 | DMG: 21 | MIT:241 | ACC:1 | F-SPIRIT | FL.AURA: 16 | FR.AURA: 16 | FR.THORNS: 8/16 | THORNS:72 | BH:48 | LD:4 Japanese translation: “Owowowowow-! Crozeph 0 Posted January 10 #2 Share Posted January 10 "Welp, that's done" He uttered as he stood in front of a mirror, He was wearing a yukata that was supposed to be his wedding attire. Compared to the common man, he knew little of weddings. His parents, despite residents of Japan, didn't actually bring him to the weddings they attended. Even after the death of his mother, the new one he had also never took him to it. His bestfriend, a shrine priestess also never invited him. It's almost as if they all want him to be oblivious of events like these which are very important. He respected the concept of it, that's why he wanted to make sure he knows the important stuff. Now he's standing, looking like a kid who simply wore a school uniform. "That was easier than expected, I thought it would as grueling as when women back then wore butt cages corset" he scratched his head, thinking of how to not mess up this one for Yuki. Baldur 0 Posted January 15 #3 Share Posted January 15 (edited) Baldur walked up behind Cro with the large black montsuki haori, a symbol of the crow as a mon on both sides of the chest and large on the back and held it so his friend could slip his arms into the sleeves. "It's crazy, even when you rent kimono in Japan, it takes women three to four times longer to get dressed, then you have all the makeup and hair work that goes into it. If you had to fully dress like you would in the real world, it's only slightly more complicated." He patted his old friend on the shoulders once the jacket was on. He then walked around to the front and held up a small box, before opening it and displaying the contents to Cro. "I know you can't take this with you when we get out of here, but I got you something for your wedding day." He lifted out a string of beads. Baldur had a set as well, it kept either side of his haori from opening up... or would have IRL. In the game it was purely aesthetic. The string of obsidian and onyx boards matched Cro's aesthetic perfectly, but a pink opal was worked into it to represent the splash of color that Yuki brought to his life. It looked like a Yin-Yang in the middle, with Cro's Black Onyx, and Yuki's pink pearl. "There. Perfect. So are you ready?" Edited January 15 by Baldur
NIGHT 0 Posted Monday at 04:55 PM #4 Share Posted Monday at 04:55 PM one would think, in a game that was built to increase its player’s capabilities beyond superhuman measure, that between night’s total strength pitched against yuki’s impossible defenses, neither of them would be liable to capitulation. and yet, here they were, on the day of yuki’s fated wedding, so was the bride struggling with sound tightness, and her bridesmaid, trying to make sure the kimono bent to her friend’s will. “— sorry!! just, a little more—” night had been working on getting the bow properly tied behind yuki’s back. the bridal kimono, a commissioned garment crafted with seven layers (soon to be eight), came with a set of strict instructions on how to properly don it. naturally, the first time yuki had tried it on was with the system’s help. now, night was playing the system’s part, and she wasn’t super certain she was doing things quite right. still, she tried, and they managed. the bow was folded neatly into a presentable shape after some coaxing from night, and she drifted away from yuki for a moment if only to give her friend some time and room to breathe. this was her special day, after all, and night was simply there for her support; an accessory. she was what she made, and she was happy to fulfill the role for such an important and cherished friend. “no worries. curse as much as you’d like,” said night, as she eyed yuki’s kimono up and down, panting, checking for any signs of imperfections. there were a few, but they were minor — night was sure she could fix them given time. “i’m just happy you like it, really! i can’t imagine wearing something that makes it so difficult for you to breathe. — not that we need to here in the castle, but…” despite the occasion, there still was the universal matter of getting out of the castle. but those sorts of thoughts could wait, as yuki said. it was going to be the best day of her life no matter what! so night shook her head of her trailing thoughts, watching yuki stretch and test the kimono out in the mirror ahead of her. she rushed to a nearby dresser and pulled the obi — the last layer — off from its surface. “okay, last one,” night started, “i should warn you — this is going to be the tightest one out of them all, and we’ve still got a few accessories of yours to go through. um…” once her friend had given her the signal, night swarmed yuki again with a long strip of cloth. at some point, they had to be done dressing yuki up for the ceremony, and night had been so focused on getting things right that she had completely lost track of looking at her clock. her eyes were fixed on the obi the entire time her hands were moving. “yuki, how’re we doing on time?” [stats go here.] (and also, very sorry for taking this long to reply omfg ;_;)
