Dual weilding question

Just out of interest is it possible to dual weild for rp purposes but the second (off - hand weapon) does no damage only the main hand weapon with affect the bd and damage you do is that allowed?

You mean sorta like what kirito did in ALO where he had two swords but no Dual wield ability and only one sword damage at a time? lol

Dual wielding is a Unique skill, part of a special set of skills that have not yet been implemented by the GM team after the site was rebooted. As of yet, no one can have it, and when those skills are brought back, only the person who has the Unique Skill can do it.

yeah the one person that does have duel wielding to my knowledge is Saixs that lucky sob lol

I'm pretty sure Saix is no longer active, and his skill was Duelist, not dual wield. :P

my side hurts from laughing with the confusion of duelist and dual wield...then whoever has it can say "Starburst Stream" also as a skill?

I'll put it this way. Canonically if you wield two weapons without the dual wielding skill which is a unique has previously iterated, you cannot do any sword skills. Basically you would be doing a grand total of near zero damage with both your weapons = garbage. You'd have more success attacking them with a ladle or a spoon.

maybe I could dual weild spoons for comedic effect lolol na makes sense to me I just wanted to ask to see what was going on do how would one go about obtaining the dual wielding skill? even if its not yet in the game how do you get the unique skills besides killing whoever already has it

I agree with Tristan on that...imagine him dual wielding with spears, it's like practicing with stilts and really, why do you have to kill the dual wielding player? can we just beat him/her on a friendly duel?

You do a rumour and if you are successful with the rumour a GM should enter and control it from there. Basically you kill an NPC that holds the skill and if the owner of the skill falls inactive or such, the NPC will respawn. As I say though, we can't do these quests yet.

Funnily enough there is a dual spear skill, Firebrand an NPC has it.

Well they existed before, you can find them in Quests as a sticky topic. Zero is working on them though so we will see it open again the future.
