"Serves me right for trying to be sociable.. Never was good at that anyway. Maybe she's just having bad day or just is feeling a bit cranky.." Kotori mumbled to herself as she walked the opposite direction of the strange girl. She didn't think the person was being rude or mean on purpose, they had only just met after all. The brunette had acted very strangely, the hair wasn't what she was truly staring at. Her eyes turned towards the rest of the vast forest. It was just waiting to be ventured through, yet here she was waiting for a duel between two people she knew. A glint appeared in her irises, a hint to what her next moves were going to be. She didn't need to stick around, Oikawa was stopping X from leaving and the other girl who's name she overheard as Kiru would stop Oikawa. It was the perfect opportunity to do so and Kotori knew it. She sprinted off into the woods with her dagger in hand and a smirk plastered onto her face.

"No way in hell are you serious! You seem to not remember the part about you grabbing me by the throat, vividly describing the way you were going to kill me, and then me having to run for my goddamn life through a goddamn jungle you also dropped me in! I bet people would steer clear of you if I mention that little bit of the story! Also how the hell can you say people don't want to be around me? I'm a famous performer I have tons of fans obviously I must be pretty likable!" I yelled back at Oikawa.

As Kiru came this way I heard her usual displeasement of me but, it's actually pretty comforting to me now, coming from her anyways. If she is a maverick Hunter I'm sure she's met pyscopaths who murder people, and Oikawa here isn't very far off that mark at all.

"Kiru Oikawa is dangerous, I don't know how he's acted around you but I swear he has the intent of a killer. I've also been chalking up his recent explanation of how he's "changed" *finger quotes mocking Oikawas use of them* with the recent disappearances of players in our circles. Bottom line the only killer we know close enough for these people to trust is Oikawa." I explained to Kiru trying despretly to convince her.

Just then Maruchan noticed kotori running off into the woods by her self and barked to me. Maybe she's off thinking about the situation at hand. It's pretty heavy stuff finding out the things your significant other has done. Either way I've got to follow her since I said I'd escort her.

"Kiru, just belive me..." I said as I quickly hugged Kiru and sprinted off at full speed.

I'm running twice as fast as normal partly for kotori and the half because of my fear of Kiru.

I stood in front of X and Oikawa with my arms at my sides and a smirk present. There was no specific reason for the glare upon my face either, it just seemed to always be there, almost like a symbol of me. I took in a deep breath and spoke, facing Oikawa first. "Indeed, too long Oikawa. I fail to contact your for a couple months and now you've got X claiming you to be a murderer, almost killing him? Interesting, I'll have to have a nice chat with you about where you have been later. For now, let's just chill out. As you can probably tell I'm not really in the mood for drama." I said, almost in a threatening tone. It was suggestive not to push my buttons right now, especially after I just regained consciousness. From all of the worrying, stress, and pressure right now I could snap again any moment. If it came down to it I could even break down again and cry about the events that had happened during this game. All of the deaths I witnessed, all the changes in personality I saw, and worst of all: the disappearance of all of my closest friends and Keith. It made me angry, sad, lonely, desperate....because he was missing. I was angry that he left without telling me, sad that he wasn't here, lonely because I had no one to support me, and desperate to find him. Basically a lot had happened to make me feel this way. There was no explaining myself, surely anyone would feel empty right now. Even with all of this going on I managed to keep a hard stare and a slight smile, like nothing was wrong. In other peoples' eyes, I was Kiru, someone to look up to or to kill. I couldn't let anyone else down by crying about it now could I? I had to do what Zelrius told me to do, find Keith. 

 

My eyes flicked to the side, in the direction of quick and diminishing footsteps. I turned around to see that the brown haired girl had retreated from the current situation. I chuckled and turned back to X. "I think I scared her off." I said, but X began to speak about the blonde next to me. To him, he wasn't Oikawa the faint, he was Oikawa the murderer. To Oikawa X wasn't the guy that was everywhere, he was in the way. They each had different views about each other so it was hard to distinguish who was actually making actual sense. X spouted words about himself unable to be unlikable- that was not true. X wasn't the most likable person on my list right now. The was he talked about Oikawa was interesting me, he insisted that he wasn't to be trusted. This of course made me raise an eyebrow at him, did he really expect me to believe that? I glanced at Oikawa then back at X. Part of me wanted to call bull but the other half, the maverick hunter part of me, knew that I would be forced to investigate Okiawa and his recent "crimes". I sighed at X for giving me more tasks and more stress, he really didn't know when to quit. 

 

When I turned back my attention to X he came forward and wrapped his arms around me. Before I even had time to move he was off. Angered, I yelled after him: "Why does everyone think they can TOUCH ME?!" I sucked in a large breath to calm down and faced Oikawa with a small glint in my eye, it wasn't a good glint either. "So, mind telling 'ol Kiru what that was about? I mean, if you really want we could just get it over with a little battle. I honestly wouldn't mind either way. But, choose wisely because I just used a bunch of skill points. I'm not trying to scare you, just tell me why X was so...angry, at you." I said, shifting my weight onto my left foot and staring him right in the eye.

Kiru returned his hello and questioned the situation at hand. "I'll explain afterwards my friend." The blonde the returned his attention to X as he began yelling once again."X I'm through arguing. I said what I had to say and you keep spouting off in circles. I didn't deny what I did nor am I trying to hide it. I'm moving past it. You don't have to forgive me because simply put, I don't care." The blonde had had enough of X for the rest of his lifetime. He decided that it simply wasn't worth the trouble anymore. Kiru had re Just as he ended his sentence, the sound of quickened steps alerted the three of them to Kotori's sudden disappearance. "Great look what we've done." 

 

X was the first to sprint after her as he gave Kiru a quick hug. Kiru reacted typically. Angered by being touched. You haven't changed much in your disappearance huh? Chuckling to himself, the blonde pondered whether or not to chase after Kotori. Kiru suddenly piped up. She wanted answers. "Kiru I really should go after her. She's to me what Keith was to you..But I owe you an explanation suppose. And aha I know my limits. I am not going anywhere near you with my blade drawn." 

 

Taking a deep breath, he decided to leave Kotori in X's care for now. I better not regret this... Looking at Kiru, Oikawa began to speak. "A couple months ago, I hosted a tourney of sorts. It was more for sport and training than for a prize. I had fought a few battles, Wins and losses alike until Azide stepped up. We went for a first strike duel. As expected, he won, but once his blade made contact with me, I snapped. For someone reason all the memories of my not so great childhood and an encounter he and I had in a forest came rushing back to me. A darkness within me triggered. X had been taking Mari's potions during the duels. As such, he was more annoying than usual. So in my "murderous" state of mind, I naturally targeted him and threatened to end his talking permanently. He was very under the influence and rather easy to kidnap. I teleported us to the 6th floor with the intent to kill him where this "murderous" side of me first crept up. Once we reached the floor, he managed to escape and I had to find a new target. I then went after Zeri, but he realized something was up causing me to get a little full of myself. With an inflated ego, I issued a challenge where we were suppose to meet up. I knew they were waiting for me but I did it anyway. Ariel took the challenge and we dueled. Though the fight didn't finish I'm sure she would've won. After the fight I regained control of myself and I walked away from nearly everyone. Except Calrex. He was my pal through the end and as we adventured more and more after the incident I learned to not only suppress my demons but control it. I was thinking of taking the Gemini quest so I could completely eradicate it for good but ah well. So that's more or less what happened. Your thoughts?"

 

Having rambled for what seemed like ages, the blonde engulfed air as he took a few breaths to regain a steady breathing pattern. I hope Kotori's alright. If anything happens to her, while X is around he won't have to worry about my "murderous" side... He let the thought drift away, realizing that if Kiru could hear his thought that wouldn't help his case in the least.

Kotori stopped mid-sprint. Her hair that had been flowing in the wind came to a rest as well. Her ears had picked up on the last few sentences that X spoke. It was sickening, the way he talked about Oikawa as if the boy was a murderer. The boy was making up lies and fabricating stories with absolutely no evidence to back up any of his claims. The only violence she had ever faced was the wrath of X, who became angry over nothing. It infuriated her how inconsiderate the kid was to other people's emotions and feelings. He never thought once about his actions and neither about how it would effect others. The girl was pissed off quite adequately and frankly, she ought to show him a lesson. She didn't do any of that. Instead of visibly being angry and yelling at X, she stood there. Just standing there while gazing at the area in front of her.

 

The sound of footsteps really quickly alerted her to a nearby player. It was pretty easy for her to figure out who said player was just from the noise. There was multiple footsteps at once and the sound of a dog panting obviously gave X and Maruchan away. Her eyes glowered at the floor, but her long brown hair covered said eyes. X was doing it again, annoying her to the point of her threatening him. He provoked her into going to that place, the place where she just lost it. Hopefully the idiotic kid would get the idea and go run somewhere else, but she knew better than anyone else that he would never stop talking and he would never miss up a chance to be with her. Kotori opened her mouth to speak and if she just had a little bit of luck, X would understand what she was trying to really say.

 

"X.. It'd best if you stop that dog where it stands and that goes double for you. You utterly disgust me beyond measures I've never felt before. You say all these things about Oikawa being a murderer, how he's psychopath and just how bad he is. You can't just forget that incident and give it a rest, can you? It happened and now its over. He's changed and I damn well believe him. If we were to judge people by one bad day, I could call you THE same exact things you just called him. By the way, where's your proof that he killed people huh? I mean if he's a PKer from what it seems that you are implying, where's his yellow cursor? Guess what? Its non-existent. If he was really a person who killed people for fun and had no feeling or emotions, why am I still standing here alive and breathing? I've been alone with Oikawa more than just a couple of times. If you want to call somebody a killer so badly, look at yourself. You'll find what you're looking for. Hopefully you'll find some common sense as well because you're annoying, impulsive, idiotic and pretty much disliked across the board. By the way, about your fans.. How many of them aren't NPCs?" Kotori walked away, back to Kiru and Oikawa and away from X.

After I caught up to kotori and listened to what she had to say my first thought was "how the hell do NPC's show up to concerts?". Anyways besides that again I am being made the enemy here! This is bullsh*t why the hell do I even try protecting everyone? I'm never appreciated, compensated, or even shown the slightest bit of respect. The hard part about it is, if something does happen I know I'm the first one to get blamed. While I would like to sit here and contemplate my choices it's time for me to speak.

"Evidence? Oikawa has admitted to it plenty of times. Since you so desperately don't belive me for lack of evidence what about him?... What has he done to make you belive his word that he's "changed" over mine huh? What treat you to some food in a cafe? Show you how the combat system works? I'm not saying he's a bad person in the least, hell the guild me and him started was intended to help low leveled players. However he is dangerous, I always wonder about if I hadn't been there that day if he would have really killed someone. At the time I was probably the only one in the guild who could out run him. Still what if one of the level ones were there. Oikawa could have just as easily targeted him and killed him in one hit just like that. Look im only trying to protect you because I don't enjoy seeing people die, I've seen enough." I told kotori as convincing as possible.

I then scooped up Maruchan and placed him on my head as I followed kotori back to the other two. With all the yelling and hatred targeted at me his owner he began to whimper. I took him down and held him in my arms instead.

"Shh shh it's alright buddy it's alright." I said to him trying to calm him down.

As Oikawa rejected the idea of explaining what exactly happened with him and X I stepped forward a little, placing a hand on my dagger behind my back. If he chose to run away then it would confirm my suspicion that he, the faint boy, indeed did murder another player. Although this wasn't what I expected I couldn't let it go. The last time I let someone off the hook without investigation they came back later in the night and tried to kill Keith and I. So, keeping that in mind I wasn't about to just let him run off. I was at the point where my weapon was visible when he finally spoke, stating quite a few things I didn't like to hear, but most importantly that he would tell me the reason why X didn't get along with him right now.

 

I placed a hand on my hip and held my dagger in my left hand at my side. "First of all, that girl left on her own will. Whether she got scared of me or you or X was her problem, not mine." The next words were a little harder to squeak out, and there was an obvious reason to this. Keith was missing, he did't tell me. No one knew where he was, not even Zelrius, which was scaring me. It was also the cause of my horrific appearance and my lack of sleep. This wasn't something I took lightly, and now wasn't an exception to that struggle. "Keith still is special to me, he never will be a "was," so don't refer to him like that. Just because I cannot locate him...doesn't mean he's dead..." I said and cleared my throat, refusing to repeat my initial reaction to this information. "Anyways, I'm glad you recognize that I could kill you, smart choice for not leaving me either." I chuckled at the end and prepared to listen to a simple explanation of X and him. Only, it wasn't short at all. 

 

As Oikawa spoke I couldn't help but laugh. This was the reason that X was acting that way? "Oh-ho, this is something else... So you decided to start a duel, a powerful player came up and you lost, just as planned. Then, you snapped? The Oikawa, the calm blonde boy snapped? I just can't seem to ever think of someone like you becoming all murderous and such. Heh, I wouldn't have either, I mean before this I was attacked and almost killed by someone named Argumail, in snow. Ironic right? Well, that's a story for another time but back to you. You supposedly lost control of yourself and took X with you to another floor and then Ariel challenged you. You stupidly accepted but never finished. Huh, that wasn't at all what I thought I'd hear." I said, almost relieved that he didn't kill someone. I did a signature flip of my dagger into the air, back to my hand, and back into my pouch on my back. "My thoughts are jumbled still but all I can say is that I won't be pointing any daggers at you today, and hopefully never. You just need to get a hold of yourself and think clearly. I recommend talking to Zelrius about it, he'll make you scared enough to stop crying!" I laughed and stepped away from Oikawa. Turning my head to the right I saw two things I didn't want to see: X and the other girl named Kotori. I groaned of annoyance and crossed my arms, they were coming over here.

Hikoru heard a big commotion coming from the area not far from where he was. He walked over to the sound of the crowd, and recognised the voice instantly. It had been a voice that he had not heard for a very long time. In fact, he hadn't seen her since the first incident when everyone found out they were trapped here. He smiled and quickly picked up the pace. On the inside, he was terrified of her , but at the same time, he knew she wouldnt have tagged along with them on his first adventure if she didn't have a heart underneath her iron-clad wall of emotion. Soon he saw her face and waved energetically towards her

"Kiru!!!" He said as he ran over to her, bowing in respect "Its been far too long Kiru!" He said smiling as he looked at the other people around him. All of them were new faces to him, for he had never run into any of them in his time in this game.

"Oh, uh..... my deepest apologies!" He said bowing to all of them "My name is Hikoru. Sorry about that. When I heard Kiru's voice, I kinda..... overreacted. Were aquantinces from waaaaay back, when the game had just started!" He said as he smiled a sheepish smile while rubbing the back of his neck. He wasn't one to talk to big crowds of people like this, so he was impressed that he had gotten that much out of his mouth without one stammer at all. He slowly kicked the ground, tossing a nearby pebble to fly into the air. He wasn't sure how the others would react to a new person coming into the middle of their conversation, but he hoped Kiru would have his back, even if it was a cold way of saying it

Oikawa chuckled at Kiru's line regarding her being able to kill him. "Yeah it's not rocket science." â€‹Placing a hand behind his head, he grinned cheekily as he responded to her final statements. "Although the intent was bad. I will not deny that, but how it turned out in proportion to how X is blowing it up, are two very different levels. I have never killed nor have actually drawn my blade to attempt to kill. I've only ever participated in duels against players. Even in that state of mind. X makes it seem like i went on spree and he was my victim that got away. But whatever. Like I said, I'm over it. I also appreciate you hearing me out. I hate player conflict for the most part and I'd much rather have you as a friend or acquaintance rather than an enemy." 

 

Suddenly a voice pierced the air. One that the blonde had never heard before. Turning about, he noticed a newcomer approaching, along with X and Kotori in tow. The new guy seemed more than acquainted with Kiru as he stammered out an awkward apology and introduction. Facing Hikoru, Oikawa spoke first. "Umm, nice to meet you Hikoru. I'm Oikawa." Placing a hand out to Hikoru, Oikawa waited for a returned handshake. 

 

Turning his attention to a certain brunette, he inquired about what happened. "Why'd you run off? I was worried. Are you okay? Did X do something?" Maybe I'm asking too many questions. Back up and give her some space. "Sorry. I was just worried," stated the blonde as he backed up a few paces.

"The hell do you mean did I do something?" I answered Oikawa before kotori could answer his questions.

"Just when I was about to offer a way to forgive you and end all this..." I began but didn't finish as I walked over next to Kiru.

Whatever maybe the guy didn't go on a killing spree but still he tried to kill me and no one seems to care. It's actually funny to me that no one seems to even question Zeri's recent disappearance either. So Ima just keep that under wraps for now. Wait what I was thinking about now?... Oh yeah! Oikawa may not have killed anyone but he's still a psychopath and he still wronged me. So I guess as long as I get mine id be fine with him going on a murder spree or whatever.

"Ok ok so yeah I said I'm ready to forgive you and stuff but there's one little condition... You see a rematch would be nice however we never actually had a match now did we? So I've come up with a solution where everyone wins.... Kiru holds back Oikawas arms while I get a few good licks in. Sound good?" I explained while cracking my knuckles and adjusting my wraps.

After this I've pretty much done all I can do, if he kills anyone il just say I told you so and boom I was right. Hell I've let other people die for a lot less.

Kotori ignored X's comments on her warning towards him, he still wasn't understanding what she was trying to say and he would never get it. Even after saying something like that, he was still protesting that he was correct and Oikawa was a person that she shouldn't be around. Maybe one day somebody would get it through his thick head that she wasn't open for any discussion and that he needs to shut up before he is shut up permanently. The girl turned her attention to Kiru, the girl still presently talking to Oikawa. It seemed whatever they were discussing was fixed, but she was still giving her dirty look. Not looking for any conflict, Kotori ignored that as well and headed straight for Oikawa.

It would seem there would be another addition to the small group that was forming with the introduction of a boy name Hikoru. Seemingly friends with the girl next to him, he was nervous to be around so many people, especially with the circumstances hanging like the dreaded spider in a room. Maybe this would be the thing that removed all the hostility that was present in the area, considering it would need somebody unbiased and somewhat joyful to lighten the mood to that point. The brunette decided to let X's words go and be more friendly than she was a few moments earlier. She faked a smile and looked at Hikoru, saying "Hello." Then she turned back to Oikawa to listen to what he was saying to X. After he finished his little monologue, the blonde decided to question Kotori on her brief disappearance from the rest of the group. She gazed at the floor, thinking of what to say that would suffice for him. It would seem that X decided to amp up the annoyance even more when he piped in to say something towards the boy. The tall boy walked towards Kiru, mentioning something about forgiveness before speaking towards Oikawa once more. The next few sentences cause Kotori to do something to X that she never imagined doing to anyone when she first got stuck in the game. Instead of remaining as a pacifist, she attacked him.

Kotori's left eye started to twitch violently to the point that it was very noticeable. Her right hand left its immobile position by her side towards the back of her body where her dagger was sheathed. X had threatened to put his hands on Oikawa and he wasn't just joking around or lying. He was going to really act on it, evidence which lied in the fact that he was cracking his knuckles and adjusting his hand wraps. She wasn't going to have it. She was going to beat the living hell out of him until he understood to not mess with Oikawa and her. She wasn't going to stop at attacking once. Oh no.. She wasn't going to keep doing it till his health barely touched zero. A slight grimace beneath the strands of brown hair that covered her hair as Kotori dashed at X with the intent to injure. Her dagger was pointed straight at his face. Kotori was able to realize the potential of what she was about to do, so mid-way in her attack, she grabbed her dagger and threw it to the ground. She dashed back towards Oikawa and stood in a battle stance, almost protective of the boy behind her. "T-take that as a warning, n-next time I won't stop." she shouted.

I focused my eyes on the two approaching, so much that I didn't even notice another player running this way until it was almost too late.Thankfully he didn't pull a Keith and stopped just in time to do a proper bow of respect to me. I scoffed at his greeting and uncrossed my arms. Taking a closer look I finally realized that the idiot that almost ran into me was Hikoru, someone I had met a little while back. I gave him a small smile of recognition and patted his shoulder. "Yeah, I remember you. Your the boy who couldn't kill a measly little boar...I did five damage of overkill to it. But, I guess that's in the past, I trust that you can at least kill a boar now." I teased Hikoru, but only in the sincerest way possible. To be frank, with everyone suddenly disappearing it was good to see someone like Hikoru come along and still recognize be, speak to me for the matter. We weren't the closest people in the world but at least we were somewhat on the same terms of a relationship. In other words we didn't despise each other. "Nice to see you again, Hikoru." I stated and turned to face Oikawa. Once again he was polite and thanked me for listening to him in the first place instead of just attacking him. I nodded at him at the arrival of Kotori and X, closing the conversation. Having everyone here know what exactly my job in Aincrad was a little dangerous and would later threaten their health. So, it would be best to not mention anything like that until it was necessary. 

 

Upon the arrival of Kotori was a load of questions by Oikawa, asking her why she ran off, if X did anything to her. Before the chestnut haired girl could even force a word, X jumped in at the mention of his name. I made and internal groan and rolled my eyes. Wherever I went, arguments followed me. I was contagious. X started by defending himself but ended in a proposal, including me in his scheme. I stepped forward with a hint of anger in my dulled face and glared at X. "Sorry man but I'm afraid you won't be adding me into this sort of thing. I just heard the story and I think you are overreacting. I understand you were under the influence of Mari's potions, were you not? I know from personal experience how out of it you can get, I barely remember that day so I know what it's like. But, it's in the past. It's okay to keep grudges but don't bring me into them, 'kay?" I said, my tone dripping with authority and harsh finishes. X was eccentric and all but there was one thing that he was not going to be right now, a murderer. "Don't you remember what I told you? If you have an issue with someone just PM and I'll fix it, don't go and do it yourself." 

 

I glanced to Kotori and noticed her becoming visibly angry, weapon in hand as well. The look in her eyes gave her away, she intended to injure X right here. And judging from the intensity she had, she wouldn't stop until his health hit zero. That's where I came in. I unsheathed my dagger and dashed into the scene as she scurried in front of Oikawa, attempting to protect him. Oikawa could probably hold out better against X than Kotori but I didn't say that, it would only boost X's already inflated ego. I brushed a hand through my bangs and made eye contact with Oikawa, then Kotori. In one solid movement I threw the weapon from my hand. It pierced through the air and spiraled towards Kotori. It landed perfectly, dealing critical damage and draining more than half of her health. "Everyone, calm down. Kotori, I suggest not pointing weapons at people unless you are prepared to have one pointed at you, remember that. Oikawa, take control of the situation next time." I then spun on my heel and shot daggers in my eyes at X. "And you," I poked his chest hard and frowned. "You need to stop that, don't threaten people and you certainly cannot just bring me into stuff like this. As a Maverick Hunter I could perfectly end you without an issue if you even scratched her the slightest. You need to DUEL someone, not kill them!" I shouted, making sure my rant resonated through his ear without a problem. I then faced the entire group. "Now...everyone....relax." I breathed, annoyed at all the commotion. If I wasn't enough of a mess...

Kiru denied my request and I didn't really understand why. It was just a few licks, like hell I was gonna kill him, these people are always forgetting who the psychopath was here. Then I look over at kotori and she's bugging out like last time.

"Jesus kotori, I take back what I said about me being the abusive boyfriend. If anything your the abusive girlfriend." I joked as kotori attacked me.

Then pretty much on cue Kiru threw a dagger at kotori and drained half her health. Finally someone's on my side even though I'm not fighting. Oh yeah and let's not forget Oikawa just doing nothing. If he really "loved" kotori he would have stepped in front of it or atleast agree to my terms so kotori wouldn't attack me in the first place.

"Wow Oikawa your just gonna stand there? Hahaha maybe I really was wrong, you won't even fight to protect her." I joked while sitting down on the ground.

"Psst Maruchan go find some popcorn." I whispered into my pups ear as he dashed for the far safezone.

"I mean the sheer amount of unstable people here is astounding. You got Kiru who is pretty much self explanatory, Myself included who goes nuts at the unintentional mention of the girl I miss, then theres Oikawa who's the source of all this mess, now kotori is hopping on the short bus, and new guy.... I actually did not notice you, hi, names X." I said while walking over to hikoru offering my hand for him to shake.

Hikoru watched in Shock as he aw someone being attacked, and memories came flooding back to him quickly, reminding him of the "Mari Incident" and quickly became unresponsive. He was unable. Move, or speak, and he was unable To shake anyone's hand. He was still there physically, but not mentally. He was back to the moment where Mari killed a girl in front of his eyes, and there was nothing he could have done. He kept shaking uncontrollably, but was still unable to move in the slightest.

(I know its short but I had a little time to do it. Sorry!)

It's as if things we're just beginning to calm down when suddenly, you guessed it, X made a scene. In seconds words were shouted, threats were made, actions were taken, and Oikawa had not the slightest chance to make sense of it all. He wanted to protect Kotori. He truly did, but for some reason his body didn't move. Taking a step back, he inhaled before speaking. "X, shut up...You cause nothing but trouble. And you haven't a clue what I would and wouldn't do for her." Taking a step to the brunette, Oikawa plucked the dagger from her chest and tossed it at Kiru. "I'm only saying this out of care for everyone's well being. Don't throw another dagger at her." he stated as he glared at Kiru. "And you..," he began as he faced Kotori once more, "no more rash actions alright. X isn't worth it and I'd really not like to pick a fight with Kiru. She is more than lethal. X isn't a threat to me no matter how inflated his ego is and how much he boasts. to me he's nothing more than a loud pipsqueak with a knack for bringing out the worst in others. Just calm down alright, we'll be fine." He concluded with a soft smile as he now placed her behind him in protection.

 

Bringing up his menu, he made a few swipes before offering two small HP Potions to the girl behind him. Returning his attention to the rest of the group, he watched as the newcomer trembled slightly. "Ease up Hikoru. I promise we're not usually this hostile. You just caught us at a bad time. And as Kiru stated, I would also prefer if we all just calmed down and relaxed."

Kotori stood quietly behind Oikawa as he removed the dagger from where it had hit her and threw towards Kiru. She had come very, very close to snapping and not coming back and X was still provoking her to this very moment. He was insufferable. All she had to do though was ignore anything he say and let Oikawa handle it, if worse comes to worse. It seemed that Kiru was more furious at X than she was at her and it was rightfully so. Her eyes turned to Hikoru, the new boy. He seemed to be shocked, almost scared of the incident. That was odd. There would no real reason to be scared here because nobody was going to die, except Kotori if she had to keep up with X for the entire day. Still, he was really nervous and it seemed that he wouldn't be breaking out of that shell anytime soon. Oikawa passed her two potions as she stood behind him so that she could bring her health back up. This wasn't turning out to be her day at all and in fact was becoming quite the opposite. Even then, all she had to do for now was stay quiet and possibly she could get through this day without having any more problems whatsoever. Kotori used one of the potions given to her to begin regaining her health right away.

X was being smug, he didn't think anyone could touch him just because I was here. That wasn't true, that dagger of mine could have just as easily stuck into his chest. He didn't understand that I had no "friends" when some sort of violence was happening. He also didn't understand why he couldn't just go around and get a few "licks" into Oikawa. Anger and frustration filled me as he spoke. I listened to X for about five seconds without interrupting him.  "Excuse me X but I am more than stable. How dare you suspect that I have lost it because Keith...die- went missing!" I exclaimed, sounding a little bit more desperate than I wanted to. He had no right to speak of the instability of the people here, as it was quite obvious. The cherry on top to all of it was X focusing in on me, underlining the fact that I was worrying about Keith. "If you have type of common sense you would quit bringing up that moment and forget that field of flowers, just the whole day." I stepped forward, face to face, staring him in the eye. "Right now you really aren't making a good profile for yourself. In fact you are slowly yet surely losing my trust, testing my patience, and getting on my bad side. So, watch it before an accident happens." I threatened, giving him almost the worst look I could ever give someone. I stared at him with the menacing look for a minute then spun on my heel, facing Oikawa who was now in front of Kotori.

 

The first thing he did was toss my dagger back at me, then spoke with a glare. I caught the weapon in one hand and placed it behind me, stilling matching Oikawa's glare. His threat didn't faze me, I have been spoke to me in more threatening ways before. "And I'm saying this for everyone's health as well, keep her in check and don't pull any stunts here. If you were to lost it or attack someone then our friendship would certainly not matter, you'd just be a dead man because unfortunately I am fresh out of jail crystals seeing as though Keith had the entire stash in his inventory." I said, opening my HUD and going to potions. I materialized a full health recovery potion but Oikawa was a step ahead of me. I placed it back in my inventory and sighed. 

 

I walked over to Kotori, careful not to look very threatening as I didn't feel like making a hold in Oikawa's chest today. I slowly outstretched my hand to her, keeping an eye on Oikawa too. "Hey, I'm Kiru, don't repeat my name to anyone and if anyone asks, you never saw me." I said, smirking just a little. I left many people in confusion often, she was just another player to question me and get no answers.

"Alright never mind. Looks like we all belong in the asylum." I said as hikoru froze up and couldn't shake my hand.

I then jumped up grabbed a branch and pulled myself ontop to sit down. My legs then dangled and I stretched out my arms. Kiru was then mad at me for brining up Keith which I didn't mean to do. I then of course felt bad that Kiru had felt that way. After listening to there hostile conversing I thought about what I wanted to say.

"Oohh looka like Oikawa is just gonna take it, I wonder how much further he can go. Haha!" I joked looking at them down below.

"And Kiru. Keith is out there and I promise me and maruchan will find him for you." I said looking out into the distance.

Maruchan than ran up behind me with a bag full of snacks. Not exactly popcorn but hey the dog did good. I patted him on the head as he released the bag into my hand.

"Ok so... Somebody do something... Because I don't want these snacks to go to waste." I said while chewing and giving some of the food to Maruchan.

Hikoru slowly tried to come out of his trance, but couldn't. Then he remembered something. A very familiar face, in fact, someone he saw just today, was there when the "incident" happened. He slowly turned his head to Kiru, and pointed a finger

 

"You...." he said, vary quietly, eyes wide with horror "Y....You were there.... When the Mari Incident happened.... Weren't you...." He said as his mind went back to that awful time. Eventually, he came out of the trance, but not after watching the horror again. A simple level 5 girl, killed with one hit. He shuddered at her power, and hoped that he would never get on the bad side of Mari. Suddenly, he heard a dog pattering over to the group, and came over, slowly petting the dog, which helped to calm him down from completely secluded to opening up more, and he smiled. He wished he had a pet of some sorts, but he didn't feel like he was ready for that quest, not yet. He stood up and bowed to X and Owikawa

 

"My apologies, I seemed to have.... remembered something, and it kinda freaked me out...."  he said as he rubbed the back of his neck shyly once again.

"Kiru......" Kotori mumbled as Kiru decided to introduce herself at last. The first part ki, if written with a certain kanji symbol, means life and oddly she couldn't see why the girl would've chose that as a name although it was awfully close to the pronunciation of killer. Maybe that was the original meaning, although she couldn't see why anybody would want to be known as one. It didn't matter really, not many people would stop to think about the meaning of a username. Nobody knew that they were going to get stuck in SAO and many people made joke names simply because they were joking around and didn't know that they would be stuck with it. It seemed the boy that had recently joined the group was going through his own problems, he seemed almost shocked to see Kiru even though moments before he greeted her with a happy tone. It could be a traumatic experience but he would've been in shock the moment he noticed the girl, not a few minutes after. It was a bit odd to seem react in such a manner and then right after apologize to X and Oikawa by bowing. It was such a quick change in personalities that Kotori could only assumed that he had a certain disorder.

 

"Oohh looka like Oikawa is just gonna take it, I wonder how much further he can go. Haha!"

Kotori's face mutated into one of disgust as she listened to X speak, him already provoking most of the group right off the bat. She understood what kind of person he was at that moment. "X, shut up. Just shut the hell up. All you've done the entire time here is make jokes as other people's expense. You are a sick and sadistic person. As we speak, you're waiting for something dramatic to happen or something bad to happen. Its so annoying how much a freaking hypocrite you are CONSIDERING YOU CAN NEVER LEAVE OIKAWA ALONE! I don't blame him for wanting to kill you so bad in those moments, if I was a killer, you'd be the first person on my list. Now bug off and let the sane people talk."
