Mari was sick of  the two isopods tag teaming her. She yanked the other off and rammed her dagger into it. It made a series of small squeals -before exploding. Mari wiped her brow, one down, one to go.  The last one screeched and once again locked onto her ankle. Mari collapsed onto the floor at the sheer force. She tried to pull her foot free but to no avail. The scuttling isopod had a very hard grip on her ankle. "GET the F*CK off!" She hissed as she gave it another kick.

The Isopod chomped down again, and another sliver of Mari's HP went down - she still had plenty and wasn't worried about dying any time soon. This deathlike grip it had on her however, was another story entirely.  She wanted to move on, and could not do so till it lost its grip. Mari twisted her ankle. Finally wrenching it free. "Ha!" Mari cried out, as she scrambled to stand once again. Readying her dagger. "Next time you're mine ya sh*t."

Mari lunged forward, and drove her dagger into the large isopod cave crawler. It gargled and fell forward, then its body burst into an array of data. Mari sighed. "Finally.." She slid down against the wall; taking a few deep breaths. This was a little more tiring than expected. Going straight from a boss fight to the next floor...and she could still her the sounds of battle further back in the cave. So whoever was behind her, was quickly catching up. Mari stood. Stretching her legs as she left the cave to head into the tower.

Hopefully soon; she would find the boss room.

Mari stepped out the cavern; "First things first.." She said as she opened up her HUD; equipping the tight black latex suit that Lowenthal had made her. It would help with scouting out the actual location of the  boss room. Sword Art Online was a numbers game after all. She started her trek down the long walkway, it branched out both left and right, but Mari chose to go straight. If she continued to wander she should find it sooner rather than later.

The tower was a lot nicer than the caverns. Despite it being a tall, dark tower - The air was a lot fresher here. There was a slight nip in the air, which prickled at her skin - causing goosebumps to rise on her arms. "Brr.." Mari muttered. Rubbing her arms as she walked. She decided to pull out the Phoenix cape from her inventory and place it over her shoulders. This time threading her arms through it. She knew she wouldn't be able to gain any of the stat bonuses from it - but at least it would be warm.

Mari paused. As she reached a dead end. She peered over the edge, into a dark, black abyss. She wondered what would happen - if she were to fall here. Would she die? Would she land on a path at some other interval lower down? Mari didn't want to risk it. She turned on her heel. heading back the way she came. Shoving small hands into the large pockets of the cloak. She reached the intersection and turned down left. Hoping she would have better luck that way.

Mari knew that she should really have her dagger at the ready; there could still be mobs floatin around, but right now Mari was just enjoying the silence, the peace of the tower - and the sounds of her footsteps as they echoed around her. Mari took a deep breath, and slowly exhaled. "Why can't the entirety of the game be this...peaceful..." She asked herself. Blue eyes keeping an eye out for the door. Up ahead, she could see another intersection. At least it wasn't a dead end.

Mari reached the fork, and again decided to turn left. If she kept going the one direction she may just manage to find the right place. Mari continued down that path, and after several minutes she came to a set of stairs. Blue eyes lit up in excitement. Stairs....stairs stairs always meant something good. Last time she went upstairs within the tower she had managed to successfully find the boss room. Mari started to go up the stairs. Her feet were heavy, and she was incredibly tired - but she had a feeling she was close. So very close.

As Mari neared the top of the stairs she noticed a set of all too familiar doors. They were the nearly the same doors that she encountered when she found the room that housed the Yamata No Orochi. Mari, once she reached the top of the stairs allowed herself to collapse onto her knees. She was tired. So Tired she wanted to rest...

Just a minute...

And that is all it took, Mari waited, keeping a close eye on the stairs below - and when she got her breath back she stood up,  and pressed her palms against the door. Pushing it open just enough to be able to take a single step in and take a look.

Mari held her hand to her nose, there was an odd smell coming from within the room, a thick incense - it was similar to the scents in her own Alchemic Store - but thrice as strong. She noticed that her health went down slightly upon entering the room. Great...so it looks like the room itself would deal damage to players. Mari took another cautious step forward.

The room itself looked like the inside of a rundown cathedral, there was still a strong smell of incense coming from within. Confession booths line the sides of the room while stained glass covers the ceiling allowing the room. They were slightly illuminated - the stained glass had a picture; an image of a crusader falling into a pit of flames.

Mari's eyes fell down to the boss itself A walking giant of a man, strong in appearance and with a body marked with the scars of war. He looked to be wearing tattered Crusader armour. He was carrying a bloodstained and rusted sword in one hand and a cracked and worn shield in the other. His hair was dirty, stained a dark red and his skin which was light in colour but covered in grime and dust. His eyes were hidden within the darkness of his helm, although Mari could feel his cautious eyes watching her. "Bleh to you too..." She muttered.

In front of it were smaller mobs, more guardians - fan-f**king tastic.... There were 3, and they just looked like rusted, silver suits of armour, Mari wondered if they were empty or not. Each carried a rusted, blood stained long sword.

Mari lost another few hit points. She noted the HP of the mobs, and stepped out of the room.

"This, could be a bother...." She mumbled to herself. She had a lot to do, and she knew that the other guilds would be wanting information, and some sort of meeting - but first things first...

Mari stepped away from the doors - making her way back down and out of the tower.
